(128/?) IT KEEPS THE GOBLINS ASLEEP!
When in doubt, bullshit your way in: Now, I don't necessarily mean that you need to fuck over people or anything. Most of the time, you need to keep honest with yourself, or you'll end up going nowhere... or become rich and famous, I dunno! A lot of our current leaders suffer from mythomania/being pathological liars. ---- G'eh, let's start again: Sometimes, you have to lie to yourself. You know why? Because sometimes you think just because you haven't tried something that you have no chance. Which is dumb! Or hell, sometimes you literally have to lie to yourself. Part of the reason I was absent and unable to do anything beyond reblogging things is because I fell sick due to what felt like borderline heat-stroke. ---- Now, to be honest? I don't know if it was heat stroke. I know I was feeling a bit dehydrated and feeling sick off that. I was also trying to avoid drinking too much beer because I didn't want to get drunk before playing and the bar had literally ran out of water and no stores nearby were open and--I got stressed, CAN YOU TELL?! ---- I tried alternating between taking little sips of beer and swallowing my own saliva but dammit, I was freaking the fuck out while also having to run errands and when the 2nd to last band was finishing their last song, I realized that I was going to have to bullshit myself. ---- So I did. And it worked. I played one of the best shows of my life, the audience were having a good time and I was looking like a right madman, and people LOVED IT. And even if I felt exhausted this whole weekend (I could barely get out of bed to go to rehearsals and I still felt tired enough that I had to do rehearsals sitting down throughout), it was so worth it. ---- I've been playing music since 1990 and composed my first song when I was 9 in 1994. I can tell you that, on Friday night/early Saturday May 20/May 21 in the year 2022, I played an absolute top 3 show. I'm not gonna forget that any time soon, and I'm sure as heck that whoever was there in the audience and was mesmerized by one quintet of weirdoes pushing themselves to the brink ain't gonna forget it any time soon either. See ya' later!

Since it seems like everyone has been having A Bit Of A Time this week, here's a bunch Andy shirtless. 👀 Happy Friday!

If I ever meet Patton Oswalt I will thank him for inadvertently getting Andy to do an entire interview shirtless. 🙌
"After navigating the path, Oswalt pointed at the alcove. 'I feel like I should have gone in there wearing one outfit and come out wearing something different,' he said. "That would have been a real virtuoso.'
In the audience, Serkis took that comment as a challenge. 'Patton set me up,' he said to TheWrap afterward. 'So I started thinking, what can I do?'"

Friday Releases for August 5
Friday is the busiest day of the week for new releases, so we've decided to collect them all in one place. Friday Releases for August 5 include Prey, Bullet Train, The Sandman, and more.
Prey
Prey, the new movie from Dan Trachtenberg, is out today.
Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, “Prey” is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.
Bullet Train

In Bullet Train, Brad Pitt stars as Ladybug, an unlucky assassin determined to do his job peacefully after one too many gigs gone off the rails. Fate, however, may have other plans, as Ladybug’s latest mission puts him on a collision course with lethal adversaries from around the globe – all with connected, yet conflicting, objectives – on the world’s fastest train… and he’s got to figure out how to get off.
Bodies Bodies Bodies
Bodies Bodies Bodies, the new movie from Halina Reijn, is out today.

I Love My Dad
I Love My Dad, the new movie from James Morosini, is out today.
Inspired by writer, director, and star James Morosini’s true life experience, I LOVE MY DAD follows Chuck (Patton Oswalt), a hopelessly estranged father who desperately wants to reconnect with his troubled son, Franklin (Morosini). Blocked on social media and concerned for his son’s life, Chuck impersonates a waitress online and starts checking in with Franklin. But things begin to spiral when Franklin falls for this imaginary girl (Claudia Sulewski) and wants nothing more than to meet her in person, as Chuck has inadvertently catfished his own son.
They/Them
They/Them, the new movie from John Logan, is out today.
When a group of LGBTQ+ campers arrives at Whistler Camp - a conversion camp run by Owen Whistler (Kevin Bacon) - they are promised a “new sense of freedom” by the end of the week. But as the counselors attempt to psychologically break down each of the campers, a mysterious killer starts claiming victims, and they must reclaim their power if they’re going to survive the horrors of the camp.
The Most Dangerous Game
The Most Dangerous Game, the new movie from Justin Lee, is out today.
A father and son are shipwrecked on a remote island where they are caught up in a trophy hunt held by its mysterious owner, a merciless man who uses the land as an elite hunting preserve for stalking the most dangerous game of all: human.

What’s it like to be trapped in a cave for 18 days? How does it feel to be part of one of the biggest rescue missions in history? When rising floodwaters trap a boys soccer team in a cave system in Thailand, an Irish cave diver (Jim Warny, as himself) joins the massive effort to save them. Shot at the original locations – and featuring real heroes involved in the rescue – this incredible saga based on true events is as close as you can get to experiencing for yourself the intensity of this inspiring adventure.

But when Dream is unexpectedly captured and held prisoner for a century, his absence sets off a series of events that will change both the dreaming and waking worlds forever. After reading a lot of overheated puffery about your new cook, you know what I'm craving? A little perspective. That's it. I'd like some fresh, clear, well seasoned perspective. Can you suggest a good wine to go with that?
