"Why do you care so much about accidentally leaving people out?" Because I've had friend groups where they were the planets and I was their Pluto.
I've had friend groups where our dynamics revolved around a Sun, with everyone vying for their attention if only to bask in their light for a mere moment. Where our thinly strung bonds collapsed the second our Sun left.
I've had friend groups where they bonded as Saturn's rings, finding solace in their shared shortcomings while isolating those more talented than them.
But I've also had friend groups where we bond as Neptune and Uranus—so similar we could be known as twins. Friend groups like Venus and Earth: so awfully different, yet it was those differences that kept us together.
And I would rather create a social system like the latter than the former.

I like to think all the main four (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy) are protective over eachother in a way.
They're all protective over Tails of course, the youngest, their little brother. They won't stop him from throwing an explosive at you if you're an asshole but if you do or say something that gets his ears to fold down the slightlest you have exactly 5 seconds to run.
Amy can easily squash her hammer at any creepy guy that comes to her, but why waste her breath when her 3 boys will gladly hunt him down? They all give Amy princess treatment aside from the usual friendly taunting and I will die on this hill.
We all know Sonic has a tendency to run into situations without thinking. Tails, Knuckles and Amy sometimes have to straight up go on babysitter mode in the middle of the battle to make sure their spiky blue friend doesn't run straight into a pit full of spikes or something. Also, add the fact that Sonic has been stated to be "too trusting" sometimes and how his belief that everyone has a little good in them and deserves a second chance can bite him in the butt. Sure, Sonic might have granted you his trust, but that doesn't mean his three less-trusting-more-logical teamates won't look you dead in the eye and warn you and I quote: "break his trust and we'll break your back."
Now as for Knuckles, we know he's the oldest, strongest and most serious of the group, but we all know years of isolation led him to have the naivety of a child. Some folks might think that seeing the red echidna around is the perfect opportunity to use their scamming tricks, but oh, if only there wasn't a speedy hedgehog, an 8yo carrying guns and a girl with a giant hammer hanging around him constantly like some sort of bodyguards. The M.E's guardian going to the surface is a rare occurance, so if you dare to even THINK about ruining this with your con artist stuff, you WILL end up with a broken bone.

Gay friend groups are like, the hot-headed friend with the controlling mother. Disgraced second born prince. Formerly bullied mafia leader. Servant who's plotting everyone's demise. The friend who gets bitches left and right but cant get a therapist. Traumatized gamer. Literal dragon.

Oh how desperately I want a friend group to discuss classics, philosophy, literature, to write poetry, to discuss the ramblings of ancient minds over a late night dinner while playing chess, to have inside jokes with references only we could understand, to have a bacchanal, to plan for world domination, to have a bond that we would kill for each other

No matter what, I can’t find it in my heart to ship anyone of these spiders in this friend group.
They all bond so well together and the big fight in Beyond will make me 1000x more emotional if those bonds grow and if they truly do start to see each other as friends.

𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧 1# || 𝘽𝙚𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙮𝙚𝙡
You could imagine your Wednesday evening differently. You pictured yourself celebrating your one-year anniversary with your boyfriend at the Oddfellows club rather than experiencing a distressing emotional breakdown.
"Just bought some snacks. Wanna come over?"
That occasional message was all you needed to head straight over to Jungkook's place. Maybe it would help you clear the horrible scene from earlier off your mind.
You settled onto the sofa after borrowing a pair of black sweatpants and an oversized shirt from him. You emitted a frustrated sigh, while he calmly sipped his beer, observing you intently. He could sense that something was wrong without a doubt.
"You good?" Jungkook inquires, once again taking a sip of his beer while you find yourself completely lost in your own thoughts. “Y/N?"
He sets his beer down on the table and moves closer to you, placing a hand gently upon your shoulder. "Hey.”
You emerge from your reverie, shifting your focus to Jungkook, who gazes at you with big, doe eyes. "Did you say something?"
"I asked if you're okay." He repeats, his concern evident in his tone. "You seem bothered. You barely even talked ever since you've got here."
You inhale sharply before averting your gaze from his. His heart clenches at the sight of you looking so distant and troubled. Despite you always exude confidence and boldness, it's rare for him to witness you in such a troubled and lost state. He takes another sip of his beer, trying to keep his cool as he waits for you to open up.
"I dont know, It's just.."
He leans in closer to hear your response, his eyes never leaving yours as he waits for you to continue. "You know that one party everyone's been talking about recently?”
"Yeah, I heard about it." He nods, sensing that this is where your story is going.
"I.. fuck. I caught Seungmin cheating at that party a few hours ago." You inhale sharply, clenching your eyes shut when the terrible scene starts playing in your mind all over again. You're still trying to wrap your head around everything that happened earlier. You feel like crying again, but it's just not coming out. It's your first time facing a situation like this.
You and Seungmin had a remarkable relationship that endured for nearly a year. Your bond was truly exceptional, as he provided you with all the love, happiness, and passion you could ever desire. Seungmin was the epitome of the ideal boyfriend, and each new message from him made your heart flutter. Moreover, you felt safe with him.
Although, sometimes you noticed a lack of excitement from him whenever you were together. It made you question if you were truly enough for him. Eventually, you came to accept it as part of his personality. However, today, he has proven you wrong.
Jungkook's eyes widen at the news. His gaze hardens, and he remains silent for a few seconds. "What?"
"Yeah." you mutter. A moment of silence hits the room before Jungkook breaks it.
"Is he still there?" His jaw tightens, he barely even shows a single emotion as he presses his tongue against his inner cheek.
Knowing Jungkook and his fiercely protective nature, he would undoubtedly destroy someone to defend those he deeply cares for. Over the years, you have come to realize this as he has rescued you from multiple different situations.
You quickly shift your gaze back to his, surprised as your mouth agapes a little. "Kook, don't make me regret telling you about it."
"I'm just asking." He says, his voice low and controlled.
"You won't touch him, alright?" You lean forward as he ignores you. Jungkook delicately glides his tongue over his lower lip piercing, seemingly engrossed in his own world. "Kook."
"I won't." He tells you through gritted teeth.
Jungkook and Seungmin always seemed to have a strained relationship. Whenever they were in each other's company, there was an undeniable sense of discomfort in the air, even if they didn't openly display it.
"Thank you." You say softly before grabbing the remote to play a movie.
Jungkook nods, shifting his attention back to you as you bite on your bottom lip, trying to find a nice movie for the both of you to watch.
You're in denial, unsure about how to react or what emotions to experience. You tend to conceal your emotions when you're in the presence of others, as if you're worried they might perceive you as weak and vulnerable. However, Jungkook is familiar enough with you to recognize your current state. You do look weak in that state, something he doesn't get to witness very often.
After we collided is the movie currently playing on the TV screen. The room is silent, only the movie's background sound can be heard. Jungkook adjusts his position on the sofa, while you sit quietly beside him, wrapped in a blanket and barely focusing on the movie. You seem lost in your own thoughts, overanalyzing the person you once believed was your beloved. Jungkook can't help but feel concerned by your broken state.
It pains him to witness you in such a state of confusion and disarray. He draws you nearer, gesturing for you to rest your head on his lap, and you do.
Tears well up in your eyes as he gently strokes your head. "I loved him," You sob, and he can sense his heart cracking just from hearing your shaky voice.
"I know." Jungkook says softly as he keeps stroking your head. He listens to your sobs, allowing you to release all of your frustrations. The thought of your ex-boyfriend treating you this way fills him with anger, and he tries to push aside thoughts of what he would do if he were face-to-face with him right now.
Time passes by, and you eventually fall asleep on Jungkook's lap. Not wanting you to wake up uncomfortable on the couch, he carefully rises to his feet, taking care not to disturb your sleep. He scoops you up in his arms, holding you in a bridal style embrace and carries you to his bedroom. He lays you down gently on the soft bed, making sure you're still sound asleep before quietly stepping out of the room.
"Fuck.." he mutters, collapsing on his sofa and pinching the bridge of his nose.
Just as the silence envelops the room, a phone call shatters the tranquility. Jungkook curses under his breath, hoping the sound didn't wake you up as he quickly retrieves his phone from his pocket, only to see Jimin's name flashing on the screen. He swiftly answers the call, pressing the phone to his ear.
"Finally! Oh my god!" Jimin shouts in relief on the other end.
"Jimin-ah, it's almost two in the morning." Jungkook whispers, ready to digest Jimin's words, as usual.
"I'm sorry, man, but seriously, I need your help." Jimin's voice echoes through the phone. There's a bustling noise of a crowd in the background.
"Did you seriously go partying with Taehyung again?״
"He dragged me with him. It wasn't my idea, trust me." he quickly defends himself. "Anyway, Taehyung refuses to take a cab and insisted on calling you instead."
Jungkook ponders your current state and suddenly a memory flashes in his mind. "Are you guys at the Oddfellows club?"
"Yeah, the party Kazuha's been arranging."
"I'm on my way. Wait outside." Jungkook quickly says before he gets up from his lazy position.
"Thank you! You're a life saver, seriously!" Jimin shrieks in relief over the phone, causing Jungkook to chuckle and roll his eyes before ending the call.
He swiftly slips his phone back into his pocket and makes his way to the front door, making sure not to make any noise that could disturb your sleep. Putting on his coat in a hurry, he opens the door and steps out of his apartment, careful to maintain a quiet demeanor throughout the process.
*.✧ *.✧ *.✧
"Taehyung-ah, I swear to god, when you get sober I'll make sure to beat the shit out of you!" Jungkook is immediately greeted with Jimin's threats directed at Taehyung, who seems to be causing some trouble as he gets out of his car.
Jimin's gaze meets Jungkook, and he looks at him with a sense of relief almost as if Jungkook is a fallen angel.
"Jungkook! Thank god!" Jimin says as he tries to steady Taehyung, who insists on lying on the floor like a lost child instead of standing up normally.
"He's a demon! I can't take this anymore!" Jimin complains, gesturing towards Taehyung who is lying on the ground, laughing to himself as if he just heard the funniest joke on earth. Jungkook can't help but chuckle at the sight, tapping Jimin's shoulder and motioning for him to move aside.
"Tae, get up. You have to go home." Jungkook tells Taehyung who is clearly drunk and gives him a stern look. However, Taehyung scowls and remains on the ground, still refusing to stand up.
Jungkook lets out a sigh, gracefully lowering himself to one knee before firmly grasping Taehyung's arm and rising him to his feet as he keeps whining like a four year old.
After much effort in leading Taehyung towards Jungkook's car, with him randomly collapsing on the floor every two seconds, Jimin and Jungkook finally manage to place him in the back seat.
"If you throw up in my car, I'll kill you." Jungkook threatens him with a sarcastic smile before shutting the door and turning his attention back to Jimin.
"Get in the car, I need to take care of something." Jungkook gives him a commanding gaze, issuing the instruction with a stern expression on his face.
"Okay." Jimin furrows his brow at him, but refrains from further inquiry as he hops into the car.
Jungkook turns around and proceeds towards the club. As he enters, the scent of alcohol and weed permeates his senses, while the lively party continues unabated. He pushes through the crowd, scanning the faces and searching intently for a particular person.
He's searching for Seungmin.
˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚
𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧 2# || 𝘼 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩
Jungkook navigates his way amidst the bustling crowd, diligently in search of a particular person. His purposeful gaze is fixed upon none other than Seungmin, who is currently seated at the bar in the company of a woman.
"Cheers!" The young woman raises her drink for a cheer, applauding and laughing with Seungmin. It's obvious that he is captivated by her charm, as if he has momentarily forgotten about his relationship with you.
Seungmin takes a sip of his drink and smiles at the young woman, gazing into her eyes with a longing expression. "Wait here, I'll be back in a minute." He suddenly says, smirking and pushing a strand of her hair behind her ear as she nods. Seungmin quickly gets up from his chair at the bar, heading towards the narrow hallway on the other side of the club.
Jungkook observes Seungmin while leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, fueled by frustration, and decides to follow him.
The hallway is dark and empty as he steps further into it, making his way towards the bathroom. When he enters, he finds Seungmin adjusting his dark hair in front of the mirror.
He positions himself at the entrance, maintaining a stoic expression as he glares at Seungmin. A discernible sigh escapes his lips, capturing Seungmin's attention. He raises an eyebrow in surprise, but swiftly changes his entire expression, plastering a fake smile on his face.
"Jungkook, I didn't know you were here." He turns his figure towards Jungkook, running his fingers through his thick hair as he speaks. "It's good to see you, man."
Jungkook pokes his tongue against his cheek. "I wish I could relate." He says, his voice dropping to a low, husky tone. The irritation in his voice is unmistakable. He's furious, furious at the thought of you in such a state of confusion and heartbreak over a guy you believed to be your beloved. He's doing his best to stay composed and not overstep any boundaries. For now.
"It seems like you and Kazuha were truly enjoying yourselves out there," Jungkook points out, causing Seungmin to freeze in his place before stepping towards him. "You know, Y/N was genuinely thrilled about your upcoming anniversary."
Seungmin shoots Jungkook a fierce look, his gaze filled with intensity. "What do you want, Jungkook?"
Jungkook lets out a chuckle, averting his gaze while delicately running his tongue over his lower lip piercing. Things escalate rapidly as he forcefully grabs him by the neck, firmly pressing him against the wall.
"You son of a bitch," Jungkook murmurs as Seungmin struggles to articulate a response in his defense, but Jungkook intensifies his grasp on Seungmin's neck even more, causing Seungmin to claw on Jungkook's hand. "I always knew you were a jerk. The moment I laid my eyes on you and saw that intimidating expression, I could tell you were nothing but bad news for Y/N." He says, making sure not to break his longing glare. "Now listen up,"
"If I ever catch the sight of your twisted face near her again, I'll make sure you never lay a hand on anything. Am I clear?" Jungkook says through gritted teeth, promoting a quick nod from Seungmin, who is struggling to catch his breath. "I can't fucking hear you." He says, tightening his hold on Seungmin's neck.
"Yes.." he gasps for words, his face slowly turning pale. Jungkook locks his gaze on Seungmin for a few moments, but eventually releases his grip, reminding himself not to cross the line. If you hadn't warned him about touching Seungmin, things could have ended much worse. Seungmin drops to his knees, clutching his throat as he gasps for air.
Jungkook turns around and walks away, contemplating how you could have possibly developed feelings for that guy.
*.✧ *.✧ *.✧
"Morning," Is the first thing you hear as you emerge from the confines of Jungkook's bedroom. Your brow furrows as you instinctively clutch your forehead and squint your eyes, you're exhausted.
"Mhmm." You hum softly as you take a seat in front of the kitchen's bar, observing Jungkook as he busily prepares breakfast. Through your groggy morning haze, you watch him organize everything with blurred vision. He seems so remarkably energetic, as though he has been awake for hours, despite the current time being eight in the morning. Typical Jungkook.
"You look terrible." He jokes, emitting a chuckle as he delicately positions a plate in front of you on the table.
"Oh shut up, Jeon." You scoff at him. "Aren't you supposed to be at work?"
"No serious cases for today," he says, cleaning the kitchen's counter in process. "Decided to stay at home."
Jungkook, a skilled mechanic, has held an unwavering admiration for vehicles from a very young age. His excitement for attending to a diverse range of tasks at the garage is palpable, not to mention his perfectionism.
"Listen, if you're doing any of this because of me, don't. I'm fine." You tell him, avoiding his gaze. However, Jungkook is well aware of your true state. He knows that you are not okay.
He finishes settling everything on the kitchen's bar and takes the seat beside you. "I'm not doing this because of you," he says, taking a sip on his juice. "I'm doing this because, simply, I can."
You're aware that he is doing this for your sake, though. He's genuinely concerned about you, and you know it.
You grab your fork and start chewing on your food, an awkward silence fills the air.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" A deep, raspy voice speaks up, causing you to turn around. You're immediately met with the sight of Taehyung's smudged morning face as he rubs his eyes.
"Speak for yourself?" You give Taehyung a puzzled look and then shift your gaze towards Jungkook, seeking clarification.
"He got drunk yesterday," he quickly explains. "Jimin called me to deal with his ass after you fell asleep."
Taehyung plops down on the seat next to you and Jungkook, snatching a bite from your plate and you roll your eyes at him. "Fuck," He whines, clutching his forehead dramatically. "I think I'm dying."
Jungkook stands up, sighing after polishing off his plate and placing it down in the sink.
"Hold on," Taehyung suddenly says, catching your attention as you turn towards him. "Where were you yesterday? I thought you and Seungmin were celebrating your anniversary together."
Your expression falls at the thought of your ex-boyfriend. Jungkook awkwardly clears his throat, leaving Taehyung confused and cast a perplexed gaze upon both of you.
"We're not together anymore." You clarify, sipping on your orange juice as Taehyung's jaw drops in response.
"No way," he gasps. "What happened?"
"Taehyung." Jungkook shoots a disapproving glare in Taehyung's direction, signaling him to let go of the subject and Taehyung helplessly shrugs.
"I'll be back." You mutter, rising from your seat and proceeding towards Jungkook's bedroom,
capturing the attention of both Jungkook and Taehyung.
You close the door behind you, collapsing onto the bed with a heavy sigh, tightly shutting your eyes. You can't come to accept that it's all over.
The memories of joy, affection, and solace shared with Seungmin have faded into the past. One thing that weighs on your conscience is the persistence of your love for him despite his betrayal. You had placed your trust in him, the man who took your virginity and stood by you during your most challenging moments.. backstabbed you.
You retrieve your phone from your pocket, deftly navigating through its contents in search of fresh updates, as a means to distract your attention from current circumstances.
Your heart sinks as you notice an unread message from Seungmin.
"Can we talk?"
˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚
𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧 3# || 𝘼𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪?
"Tae, seriously, couldn't you read the room?" Jungkook scowls at him, pinching the bridge of his nose in irritation. He's frustrated that you have been reminded of the unfortunate incident from yesterday, just when he successfully managed to divert your attention.
"How'd you expect me to know that they aren't together anymore!" Taehyung exclaims helplessly.
Jungkook sighs, realizing he shouldn't hold Taehyung responsible for reminding you. He wasn't aware.
"She caught him cheating at Kazuha's party yesterday," Jungkook clarifies and Taehyung's eyes widen in response. "She didn't contact him ever since."
Jungkook pokes his tongue against his cheek, the memory of him choking Seungmin yesterday reflects in his mind. In that moment, he feels like the experience may not have been enough.
"Shit.." Taehyung lets out. He's in complete disbelief. He cannot wrap his head around the fact that the guy he's been hanging out with, having drinks and fun with, and who happened to be his friend's boyfriend, is actually a total jerk.
Taehyung and Seungmin have known each other for a long time prior to your introduction to Seungmin. They have maintained a friendship since their college days, and your initial encounter with Seungmin occurred through the invitation extended by Taehyung to you and the rest of the group to hang out at a bar.
While Seungmin had a reputation for being unable to hold long-term, serious relationships, it was widely known.
During his high school years, he would swiftly pursue 'romantic' connections with young women, only to end them without any apparent emotional attachment. However, when he crossed paths with you, it seemed to be a different story. With you, he exhibited a distinct demeanor, revealing a previously unknown facet of his personality.
Yet, here you are. Trembling in front of the keyboard, completely lost for words.
You don't know how to react. How to feel, what emotions to experience in this moment.
Are you genuinely willing to grant a second chance to the guy who has deceived you? The person in whom you placed immense trust, yet still acted covertly against you? You don't know.
Despite the sense of embarrassment accompanying this admission, you find yourself still harboring love towards him, even in light of his betrayal. You yearn to defy these emotions and move forward, fight against your heart, yet find yourself unable to do so. Love persists within you, and you hate yourself for it.
The name you designated for him in your contacts momentarily illuminates your attention. 'Min', with a heart emoji next to it.
Your fingers tremble in front of the keyboard, leaving you in a state of speechlessness, struggling to find the appropriate words.
As you were on the verge of composing a reply, the sound of the door opening interrupts your train of thoughts.
"Are you okay?" Jungkook asks, positioning himself by the entrance and prompting you to sit up and turn around.
You swiftly avert your eyes from his, redirecting your focus back to your phone. "Yeah, yeah everything's fine."
"Are you sure? You look like you just saw a ghost or something."
"Kook, just fucking leave it. I told you, I'm fine." You frown at him. You're frustrated. Actually, you're being troubled by a multitude of different emotions, to the extent that it hinders your ability to think straight.
You're unsure of how to conduct yourself in such situations. You feel lost, and Jungkook doesn't blame you for it.
"Fuck, that was so bitter." He chuckles, trying to lighten up your mood, but fails. He lets out a sigh as he enters the room and proceeds to close the door behind him, taking a seat on the bed beside you.
"Y/N, look at me." He says softly, pressing his palm to the back of your neck gently.
You avert your gaze, sucking on your lower lip. You can't allow yourself to cry in his presence. Not again. You don't want to reveal this vulnerable, shattered state to him. "Y/N."
"What?" You let out with a shaky voice, trying your best to sound composed.
He pulls you into a hug, embracing you tightly. At that moment, you find it difficult to restrain your emotions any longer. Tears stream down your face and you maintain a quiet composure, while he offers comfort by gently patting your head and stroking your hair.
"You'll be fine," he says. A sob escapes your mouth as he keeps rubbing your back, and he tightens his hold around you. "I promise."
The following moments pass in complete silence, with only the audible presence of your sobs.
"You know," Jungkook starts, breaking the silence. "It's okay to feel hurt. I know it's tough to let go of the situation at first, and it definitely takes some time. But eventually, you'll get there. Just remember you're not alone."
You attentively absorb Jungkook's words, wondering what the hell you did to deserve him. Releasing a deep sigh, you choose to distance yourself from him, feeling a sense of embarrassment upon witnessing your own vulnerable state.
"Thanks, dad." A smile plays on your lips as Jungkook scrunches his nose at your sarcasm.
"I hate you," he says, running his tongue over his lower lip piercing. Both of you share laughter, and Jungkook finds solace in witnessing the return of your radiant smile again.
*.✧ *.✧ *.✧
"Dude, she asked me to bite her tits hard enough to draw blood!" Taehyung exclaims and Jimin's jaw drops in response.
As you take a sip of your drink, the vibrant sounds of the bustling crowd and the energetic music fill your ears. Jungkook sits quietly beside you with a smirk plastered on his face, arms crossed, immersed in Taehyung's story.
Of course Taehyung has once again worked his charm and managed to convince all three of you to join him for another night of partying.
Over the past three days, you have confined yourself within the walls of your apartment, diligently attending to work and various tasks. However, you have yet to respond to Seungmin's message. You can't find the right words, and you find yourself contemplating whether granting him a second chance is truly warranted.
"Did you do it?" Jimin asks him, moving forward to grab his beer. "Of course I didn't." Taehyung leans back on his chair, running his fingers through his shiny black hair.
"Is she the same girl from new year's eve?" Jungkook chimes in, adding his voice to this rather intriguing conversation they find theirselves in.
"No, that one asked me to punch her in the face."
"You guys are literally disgusting," you say after fake gagging at their horrible conversation. "I'm going to get us some more drinks."
As you rise from your seat, prepared to proceed towards the bar, Jungkook intervenes by gently grasping your wrist, halting your movement. "I'm coming with you."
You give a subtle nod in reply, silently expressing your agreement. It would be more preferable if he joined you, though. Given the presence of unsavory people at the bar, you'd rather steer clear of any potential trouble they might bring.
You and Jungkook navigate through the bustling crowd, making your way towards the bar. Skillfully placing your orders, you settle onto the round chairs, patiently awaiting the arrival of your beverages.
Both of you engage in a conversation, you delve into a casual discussion about work, daily schedules, and other topics of interest.
A group of women passes by, whispering and giggling while their gaze lingers on Jungkook, leading you to roll your eyes in response. It's a familiar sight, and you've grown accustomed to such attention.
It's undeniable that Jungkook is good looking. Hot, even. Sometimes you can't help but think how it would be easier if you had an ugly best friend instead.
"What's wrong?" Jungkook inquires, questioning your puzzled look.
"What? Nothing." You say, redirecting your focus towards him.
Your train of thoughts is abruptly interrupted as you catch the sight of Seungmin and Yoongi seated together across the club. Your gaze meets Seungmin's, causing you to momentarily freeze in your current position.
Fuck.

𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧 4# || 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚
"That fucker had the courage to fucking threaten me."
Seungmin and Yoongi are currently situated in the corner of the club. Seungmin's gaze meets yours, and a sense of unease washes over him upon spotting Jungkook at the bar. He skillfully conceals any signs of his uneasiness in front of his friend, though.
Seungmin is still annoyed by the encounter with Jungkook from several days ago, yet he chooses not to reveal his inner emotions. The mere thought of Jungkook's audacity to threaten and humiliate him ignites a fiery anger within him, and he hates it.
"Why is he so protective over her, anyway?" Yoongi shoots Jungkook a puzzled look from across the club, then quickly shifts his attention back to Seungmin.
"They've been best friends since high school," Seungmin explains. "Everytime someone mentions anything romantic between them they just deny it, but it's so fucking obvious that the bastard has feelings for her."
It's true that you and Jungkook share an incredibly strong connection. Not a romantic one, of course. One that goes beyond ordinary friendship and resembles a familial bond. This friendship is often misunderstood by others. But as time has passed, you've grown used to these misunderstandings and have opted not to continually explain yourselves to everyone.
"Shit.." Yoongi places his drink back on the petite table. "So are you and Y/N in a conflict right now or what?"
"I wish I knew, man. She left me on seen." Seungmin sighs, leaning back on his chair.
He's aware that he fucked up, that he failed you. He has been awaiting your response for the past few days and continues to do so. Though Jungkook's threats kept echoing in his head, he chose not to give a fuck about it. He's determined to solve things out with you.
"Dude, you're officially Y/N's bitch. I can't believe you actually fell for her even though it was all a part of a bet."
Yes, your relationship with Seungmin originated from a stupid bet initiated by Yoongi and Woojin when they first encountered you at a party with your friends. Seungmin was tasked with the challenge of making you fall in love with him, with the intention of breaking your heart. However, things took an unexpected turn, and Seungmin found himself developing genuine feelings for you instead.
"Shit, I know." Seungmin admits when he hears his phone vibrating in his pocket with a notification. He fishes his phone out of his pocket, only to see your name flashing on the screen with a new message.
"Outside. Now." That single message prompted him to swiftly stand up from his chair.
"What is it?" Yoongi looks up at him, questioning the sudden action.
"It's nothing. I'll be back in a few minutes." Is everything he says before pivoting and proceeding towards the exit. Since the incident, he has eagerly craved for a solitary communication with you and wondered whether he can earn your forgiveness and mend the situation between you both.
When he finally makes it to the exit, he steps outdoors and promptly scans the surroundings in search of your presence, only to spot you leaning against a nearby wall, just a few meters away from him.
He couldn't resist but observe your entire body, attentively taking in every detail from head to toe. You look beautiful. The way your sleek black dress accentuates your curves, your shiny black hair cascading down your shoulders, and the flawless makeup enhancing your soft features..
As he approaches you, you eventually become aware of his presence. You promptly straighten your posture, while he stands before you, earnestly seeking to discern your emotions through the gaze in your eyes.
"Hey." Seungmin simply greets you, sending you one of his captivating smiles.
You've always admired his smile. It's a conflicting mix of anger and happiness to see him. It's difficult to reconcile the love you still feel for someone who betrayed your trust.
"You wanted to talk, then talk." With a serious expression, you fold your arms, seeking clarification from Seungmin.
"Y/N, I'm sorry." He apologizes. When you look at his face, you can see the guilt written all over it. And for a split second, you can't help but feel a twinge of compassion for him, even though he's the one who caused all of this mess.
"About what? Making out with Kazuha right in front of my face?"
Seungmin lets out a profound sigh, running his fingers through his luscious hair. He ponders whether he can still attain your forgiveness.
"Listen, I know I fucked up. I know I failed you," he quickly admits. "But I wasn't sober that night and I wasn't thinking straight."
You can't help but emit a slight chuckle of annoyance in response to his excuses. But deep down, a small part of uncertainty lingers, contemplating whether to place trust in his words or not.
"Y/N, you've to trust me. I love you."
It's tough when you hear his last words, and you can feel your heart cracking a little. You still love him, and it's frustrating how much power he has over you.
"I trusted you. You, of all people, the one I would entrust my life to, have betrayed me." You avert your gaze from his. "I don't have to forgive you, and there's really no justifiable reason for me to forget all of this."
Seungmin attentively absorbs your words, and a profound sense of guilt engulfs him. "I know."
"But I don't want to simply discard a one year relationship. Just because I might forgive you, it doesn't mean that I'll forget about this mess."
Seungmin feels a profound sense of relief and joy as your words resonate with him, realizing that he might have just been granted a second chance.
"I'll make it up to you, I promise." Seungmin's lips curl into a smile, and he swiftly embraces you, enveloping you gently in his arms. Despite the short amount of time apart, you craved for his touch, for his presence. The mere idea of being separated from him was unbearable. You love him.
The following moments transpire in silence, with only the embrace between you and him. You choose to create some space between the two of you and direct your gaze into his deep, dark eyes.
"I'll talk to you tomorrow," he suddenly says. "Make sure to check your phone."
"Okay, okay," You find amusement in his words, causing a chuckle to escape your lips at his joyful tone, and a smile graces your face.
He gently taps your shoulder, and you reciprocate with a final smile before he turns and departs from your presence.
Once he leaves, you can't help but ponder deeply about what just happened. Did you make the right decision? Was it too hasty to let go of the situation so easily? You're unsure.
As you navigate your path towards the entrance of the club, you're being interrupted by colliding with the solid chest of someone. You quickly direct your gaze upwards only to find yourself locking eyes with the familiar and captivating gaze of Jungkook.
"Where the fuck were you? I've been looking for you everywhere." Jungkook exclaims, loud enough for you to hear due to the loud voices surrounding you.
He distances you from him, holding onto your shoulders and scanning your entire figure, as if something happened.
"Calm down, I'm okay. I was just talking to someone."
Jungkook raises an eyebrow, directing his gaze towards you with a hint of curiosity. "Why didn't you answer the phone? I thought something happened."
"I'm sorry, I didn't know you called." You quickly apologize. You choose not to spill the beans to Jungkook about your conversation with Seungmin for now. You'd rather keep things on the low, as it might not be the best idea to go blabbing about it everywhere.
"Do you mind telling the others that I'm leaving? I'm getting a little tired." You ask him, searching for an answer in his eyes.
"Yeah, sure. Want a ride? My motorcycle is outside." Jungkook's lips curl into a subtle smirk as he gracefully tucks his hands into his pockets. Even in his simple attire, he looks like a fashion model.
"Didn't you drink earlier?" You waste no time and ask him directly. You don't want to take any risks by riding with someone who's been drinking. But knowing Jungkook, he wouldn't have offered you a ride if he had been drinking.
"Nope, I don't feel like waking up hungover tomorrow."
"Alright, then. Thanks." You give him a grateful nod and nudge his chest with a smirk on your face. He playfully rolls his eyes in response and disappears into the crowd, probably to let Jimin and Taehyung know that you're heading out.
What a night.

"Don't say anything." You cracked open your coke, avoiding Jimin's amused expression.
The weekend has been quite peaceful this far. You have been devoting your attention to self care and relaxation.
Sunday night proved to be somewhat awkward, as you and Seungmin are presently in the process of rebuilding your relationship. Seungmin is earnestly working towards earning your trust again, which led to a beach date for the two of you yesterday.
You cannot say you hated it. It was simply an awkward experience. Everything has been happening so fast, which feels strange to you.
During your date with Seungmin, both of you avoided discussing about the incident that caused your separation and instead focused on exploring new aspects of your lives that were previously left unshared.
It was a bit awkward, but also quite enjoyable. You both haven't had much time to talk about these kind of things lately.
Today is also a rather peaceful day at work. There aren't many people and the usual stress of being a barista at a cafe is absent, you're just tidying up the place a bit. You're currently on your break, seizing the opportunity to chat with Jimin.
"Why not? I have a charm." Jimin adjusts himself on the circular chair, resting his elbow on the bar counter while wearing a smug expression. He has been making attempts to 'express his interest' in your work mate, Iseul, for the past twenty minutes by literally eye fucking her.
"You'll scare her," you whisper-shout at him. "and take that creepy smirk off your face, you pervert."
Jimin disregards your words, and instead directs a longing stare towards Iseul from a distance.
You quickly pull a strand of his hair, eliciting a pained "ouch" from him. You can't help but chuckle as he shoots you a brief glare.
"By the way," Jimin initiates the conversation, transitioning into a new topic of discussion. "Where were you yesterday? I thought we were all supposed to have a movie night at Jungkook's."
Crap. You completely forgot about your plans with the guys. You were just too caught up with everything else.
"Sorry, I was out with Seungmin."
You pause for a moment, slowly comprehending the weight of what you've just said, causing you to momentarily freeze in your place.
"What—"
"What?" You quickly manage to speak right after him, your eyes widening.
Jimin's jaw falls open, and he gazes at you with a look of intense curiosity. "You were with who?"
You release a weary sigh, pinching the bridge of your nose and silently cursing yourself in your thoughts. "Please don't tell anyone."
"But didn't you guys—"
"Yes, we did." You interrupt Jimin's sentence, diverting your gaze from him. You didn't want to tell about your reconnection with Seungmin to him or any of your friends, despite the short amount of time that had passed since the incident. You still prefer to maintain a low profile.
It's not that you don't trust them. Of course you trust them. It's just kind of complicated to let others in on this thing. And honestly, even you can't believe what's happening.
"So what do you mean you were out with Seungmin?" Jimin still looks at you, awaiting further clarification and seeking for answers.
"It's complicated." You say, gracefully crossing your legs and taking a sip of your coke.
"I'm all ears."
"What?" You raise your brow at his words.
"I'm listening. Spill everything." Jimin tells you, shifting his chair closer and awaiting your willingness to start talking.
"God, you're so nosy." You give him a dismissive look, and he responds with a puzzled expression, gesturing for you to open up and tell him everything.
"What am I supposed to say? We just sorted things out.. I guess."
It's difficult to find the right words to explain the situation. Everything unfolded so fast, and it feels strange. Even to you. What are you supposed to tell him? That Seungmin cheated on you, pleaded for forgiveness, and you forgave him instantly?
Jimin gives you a puzzled look, silently indicating that your explanation doesn't quite cut it, and you let out a sigh.
"I gave him a second chance, Jimin." You tell him with a heavy heart. He gets it, no need to pry for more details. He knows how much you love Seungmin, and even though he wouldn't have let go of his mistake, he will always be there for you as long as you're happy.
"Listen," he strokes his chin. "If you felt like it was the right move to make, I'll support you. Just be careful, okay?"
You're grateful for Jimin's understanding and how he manages to move on from the subject. It's not unexpected that he supports you no matter what, you're happy to have him as a friend. "I will,"
"Thank you." You say softly, and a smile plays on your lips.
You know that reuniting with Seungmin so quickly after his mistake may not have been the wisest decision. You are aware of that. Yet, you still have a desire to trust him and offer him a second chance. Considering your one year long relationship with him, you hope that a similar mistake will not occur again.
As you glance outside the cafe, your attention is drawn to a black motorcycle pulling up. The rider switches off the engine and removes his helmet, revealing the familiar face of Jungkook.
You witness him gracefully running his fingers through his lustrous black hair as he proceeds to enter the cafe, capturing Jimin's attention and takes a seat on the round chair beside him, wearing a somewhat disgruntled expression. You and Jimin exchange glances in response.
"What's with the face?" You ask him, searching for his eyes.
"Shit, I gotta go. I'll talk to you guys later." Jimin abruptly says after glancing at his phone, likely indicating that he has a more pressing matter to do.
You give a nod of understanding, offering a subtle farewell wave as Jimin swiftly rises from his seat and departs from the cafe.
Jungkook remains seated, displaying no response and completely lost in his own thoughts with a disgruntled expression on his face.
"The heck is up with you?" You turn your attention back to Jungkook, giving him a quizzical expression, your curiosity piqued by his lack of reaction.
"I don't fucking know." He whines, rubbing his eye. "I've so much stress to handle. I need a break."
"You're such a crybaby." You can't help but roll your eyes in response to his complaints.
You quickly steal a glance at the circular wall clock, verifying the time, and find yourself cursing under your breath. "My break ended five minutes ago."
You swiftly return to your tasks, diligently organizing the area and replenishing the ice machine, among other duties.
"Order me a drink, I’m craving for something cold." Jungkook voices his thoughts, leaning his elbow on the counter while fixing his gaze upon you.
"Ask nicely, asshole. I'm not your maid." You scoff at him, diligently tidying the counter.
"Okay, sorry. Let me try again," Jungkook promptly offers his apologies, discreetly clearing his throat. "May I kindly request to place an order for a beverage, madam?"
With a swift motion, you hit his shoulder using the cloth in your hand, eliciting a chuckle from him. You simply disregard his presence and proceed to prepare his customary order without questioning any further.
"Oh and also," he speaks up, prompting you to shift your attention back to him. "Tae's birthday is in two days. I already discussed with Namjoon about something, but I need your opinion."
You were thinking about Taehyung's birthday and wanted to talk to Jungkook and Jimin about it, but got distracted by other things.
"Joon offered to hire the entire bawling alley for all of us."
Of course. Namjoon, a self made man and the CEO of a thriving company, shares a long standing friendship with Jungkook. From your perspective, they seem to have a close bond. While you wouldn't consider yourself as one of his close friends, you have known him for quite some time. Nevertheless, he's a very nice man.
"Don't you think he'd prefer go clubbing instead? I mean, it's Taehyung after all." You ask as you continue preparing Jungkook's order, nearly completing the process.
"Maybe? But he always goes partying and fucks around. I thought it'd be nice to try something different."
Jungkook's got a valid point. Partying is literally a part of Taehyung's lifestyle. It could be fun to mix things up and try something different for a change.
"Yeah, I guess you're right." You carefully set Jungkook's Iced Americano on the counter before him, and he graciously utters a swift 'thank you', accompanied by a playful wink. You roll your eyes, unable to suppress a subtle smile.
"Hey," a voice unfamiliar to both of you interjects, instantly grabbing your attention as well as Jungkook's.
"This is bullshit. This thing tastes like an absolute shit!" The customer who had placed an order with you earlier exclaims, causing you to involuntarily flinch in response.
"Sir, calm down plea—"
"I want my money back!" He interrupts you abruptly with his loud outburst.
"We can sort things out, please, just calm down." You maintain a composed demeanor as you speak, and he takes a few more steps closer to the cash register.
"Give me my money back, or I'll—"
"Careful how you finish that sentence." Jungkook cuts him off with a low and menacing tone, leaning against the counter and fixing the man with a piercing glare.
The man gazes at Jungkook for a prolonged moment, while Jungkook maintains his intense glare without wavering. Eventually, the man looks away and forcefully places his order on the counter.
"Fuck this." he mutters in a tone of annoyance, turning around and departing from the cafe.
As you redirect your attention towards Jungkook, a sigh escapes you, one that you didn't realize you had been holding.
"Hey," you let out, capturing Jungkook's attention. "You didn't have to do this. I don't need your help."
"Yeah, of course." He emits a chuckle, taking a sip from his beverage.
"You don't have to protect me because I'm a woman." You say, settling back onto the chair positioned behind the cash register.
"I'm not protecting you because you're a woman, I'm protecting you because you're my woman."
Your eyebrows to elevate in surprise at his words, and your eyes instantly meet his.
"Yah!" You exclaim, forcefully placing your hand on the counter and earning a chuckle from him.
This man..
