The Categories of Final Hallucinations
I noticed 2 types of visions that the characters had in the last episode, specifically in regards to Non
Non was front and center and the visions are about him
Phee: He kept continually seeing Non die in different ways, including some which were new and unseen ways. He's grieving Non's death and also feels guilty for what he's said (the "Get lost and die"). Phee was also the only person who understood that these were visions and Non wasn't real. Even in the 2 years later part (which may or may not be real - tbh I'm thinking of it as a continuation of the hallucinations in the courtyard), Phee sees Non walking into the water.
Tee: Non asks Tee to kill him with a knife on the rooftop because he’s so trapped while working for Tee’s uncle. Tee has been feeling guilty about his actions bringing Non into this world and ultimately being unable to get him out of the mess, so this manifests as a horrific way to help Non, though of course he ends up stabbing White in reality :’(
Tan: Non thanks him, then hangs himself, then thanks him again. Tan just wanted to be a good brother and in these hallucinations, after he has avenged Non, he finally is. His last vision is Non thanking him and walking into the light.
Non may or may not be there but it's mostly about their own situations/consequences/fears rather than Non
Fluke: Non is hardly there except at the end, Fluke's mostly being chased by a cop because he's deathly afraid of ruining his reputation and not getting to become a doctor. Aside: I loved that Fluke gouged his own eyes out, the eyes with which he was constantly witnessing the misbehavior against Non (Top breaking the camera, Jin taking the video) but keeping silent about
Top: He was just being chased by Non through the woods, very little depth because we hardly knew anything about him
White: he never knew Non and so his visions are about his relationship with Tee instead
Jin: I don't think Non even appeared in this but I'd have to double check. It was mostly about what if what Jin did to Non happened to Jin himself with him seeing people taking videos of him in compromising situations, including with Keng
For me, Tee's was the most shocking and horrifying because I was expecting death for Tee (especially after episode 11) but there was the vibe that maybe White is the final girl who will survive. Instead, my mouth fell open as soon as I realized what they were hinting at and I lost my mind as the sequence went on. One of the most unpredictable aspects of this whole show for me and it really is tearing me up, esp after ep 11.
Tan's and Phee's are the most tragic. I didn't cry at all during this show but for a second there, during Tan's visions, I became misty-eyed. (also I've been typing Tan as Non and having to correct... I think NewTan would like that tbh)
I think Jin's was the most disappointing to me because although he knows his actions to release that video were wrong and likely feels guilty, I was hoping Non would at least make an appearance? When Jin apologized to Non the day Non disappeared, Non didn't know what he was apologizing for and said Jin didn't have to apologize. I wanted Jin to apologize to Non while admitting to his wrongdoings, even if it's in hallucinations. Instead, it's Jin being paranoid about what he did to Non being done to him.
[Edited because the Tee/White scene did a whole number on me so I got a bit confused about their visions when I first posted this right after watching the ep]

I am not somebody that hops onto the "comic discourse" a lot. I usually prefer to talk things through with my friends and share opinions in private.
But since Tangle more or less got ignored so far i take the chance and talk a bit about her appearance in 64
She jumps in as a supportive character towards Whisper and helps her to prevent another breakdown. While yes, there was a scene in Urban Warfare that did the exact same thing, i feel like with issue 64 we finally see how strong of an impact this support actually has on the page. (I talk a bit more about Urban Warfare further down this post.) I don't even dare and call this bait (Edit: Not my words btw. i saw this used in another heated post. I personally never felt baited in any form. If anything, the girls relationship is one big highlight in these comics.) because it simply isn't. Here is a character that cares for her partner and also is uncomfortable with the whole situation to begin with. She has to decide where her priorities lie. Her reaction is to be expected to be focused on a trembling Whisper and all i can say is i'm glad we finally have a good depiction of that.
Tangle has the right to approach Whisper in ways i think no other character is able to, she earned it and it pretty much shows on this page. Softly taking down Whisper's mask and checking on her, the body language in these panels is chefs kiss. She's truly a bouncy girl, but it's good to see her being serious every now and then, i feel like it's a side of her that people usually tend to ignore. (And i really don't know why that is.) Evan Stanley does always an amazing job if it comes to showing Tangle in a different light or how she cares about her friends and loved ones. In regards about the current arc and even the last one, i feel like this post is a good chance to add my personal take to it as well, since it's been on my mind for a good while now. I feel like 64 finally makes a step into the right direction again.
To elaborate a little on that, i wasn't really a big fan of Urban Warfare, simply for the fact that it's pacing is all over the place. There were a lot of things that needed to be covered, to name a few: - new team building - Whisper's trauma - Lanolin introduced as a new character - a LOT of other teams jumping into the scene - the city itself all squeezed into a 5 book arc. One more book compared to a mini series that usually gives full focus to a set of chosen characters.
To make this clear, there are also good things in Urban Warfare as well but thanks to the fact how rushed the whole story felt in it's core it's a bit hard to enjoy the good bits as well...
Misadventures still deals with the same pacing problem and i believe that is where the real issue lies. As a reader/collector of the books and longtime fan of them, all i can say is:
I wish the comics would get their old, well cared, time for details back. Yes, a story like the Metal Virus was a long run but in the end it was a fantastic read. Mini arcs like Trial by Fire (Still one of my favorites), that focus on other things instead of the usual action, are also very important for character development and add a lot of depth to them. Endless Summer is a great example for such addition as well. These books provide insight into character interaction we usually don't see otherwise. Of course i have no idea how much SEGA is involved into everything if it comes to general decisions like how long one arc is supposed to last and when the next one should start.
(The next part is based on my personal taste, this has nothing to do with the general narrative of the books. I just want to share my thoughts about this since i really don't write them down a lot.)
As a little side note, i feel like Lanolin is a great character so far. Her stubborn and rule book like demeanor as a leader is refreshing to say the least. She also seems to be really close to how her creator ABT imagines her to be and i really appreciate that. But i can't help it and feel like her team dynamic with Tangle and Whisper comes of as rather… rocky ? On a combat level of things it works really good but on a friendship level it's somehow lacking atm. There is this boss and coworker relationship going on that feels more like real work. Obviously though she's new and needs more time to get better established. I guess we will see how this plays out in the future. I'm all in for a good or funny team dynamic but i also can't help it and feel like she works better as an addition to Jewel, running the restoration, the navigator typ that sends intel via com instead of a field combatant. Even if she proved she's good at close combat as well during her encounter with Whisper in 64. That being said, i am all open for surprises and more character development on her part. This is really just a "now" opinion and can easily change over time. I like the sheep, i really do.

I wonder if the reason why I tend to get overlooked as an LU writer is because I tend to write for Wild and Hyrule and not the "cool" Links like Legend, Warriors, Time or Four.

I thought it was pretty clear that Phee emotionally and physically moved on from Non. His main motivation was guilt for his last words to him. When we meet the boys in the present time, years have passed and Phee is basically pursuing Jin. That’s the reason that New is pissed off at him. Even if Non had lived, it’s not likely that he and Phee would have gotten back together considering the way that they ended. They met each other online and only were only together for a few weeks. It was a fast high school romance and the feelings faded, atleast on Phee’s end. That was one of the most realistic parts of the series.
This ASK is in reply to one of the Unanswerable Questions I posted:
"If Non were alive, would Phee have ditched Jin?"
I don't know that I would classify Non and Phee's relationship as a "fast high school romance" or put too much focus on them meeting online. After weeks of hooking up, Phee asked him to be his boyfriend; he became invested in his mental health; he even asked his dad to help Non when he was in legal trouble; and Non only sought comfort in him, which is why it broke Phee's heart when Non cheated on him.
Whereas, the only reason he got with Jin was to mine him for info. And as far as I could tell, their relationship was purely sexual. If he really cared about him or trusted him, he wouldn't have lured him to the cabin once Jin announced he'd be leaving the country.
Did he regret luring him there? Absolutely. Was his motives a mix of wanting to see him again to reconcile AND uncover the truth? Possibly. But the fact that he was still trying to find the truth about Non so many years later is further proof that he loved him. No one's drugging people, especially a politician's kid, and risking a prison sentence for a fleeting relationship. He wanted justice for the person that he loved, especially after realizing that Non's infidelity was actually assault.
To be clear, though, I'm not rooting for either pairing. I just wondered if, considering everything Non had been through -- and even if Phee was over him -- if he would concede in reuniting with Non, if only as penance or even pity. So, regardless of his feelings for either guys, would he reunite -- even briefly -- with Non?
But I asked that question pointlessly, because it's not like Tan/New would've let him. 😬 😂

I get jealous over everyone.
I see people my age with friends laughing and having a good time. Or people who are holding hands and kissing their girlfriends/boyfriends, it makes me want to cry and hurt myself there and then.
I just wonder why it’s never me? Why I’m not allowed to have that?
Maybe I should just go away and disappear? Maybe it’s best for everyone.
No on wants me. Not friends. Not girls. Not family. I’m just alone. Everyday. No one talks to me. I guess days go by with people not talking to me.
But if they were my true friends, my real friends, they’d be there. They’d ask me if I am ok. They’d not ignore me every single day.
I just don’t understand….
What is so wrong with me that no one likes me??

HSR LEAKS
So about that one lightcone leak (do excuse me BBY SUNDAY IS ADORABLE OMG MAH HART HIS SOFT EYES THE WAY HIS EXPRESSION LIGHTS UP AT ROBIN MY BABY) my theory is that It's Sunday's 4☆ lc rather than Robin's bcs in Landau's Choice although Gepard is not the main focus It's a preservation lc rather than erudition (Serval's path) same as Subscribe For More! With it being a hunt lightcone (Sushang's path) rather than Gui's BUT BOTH OF THESE LIGHTCONES ATLEAST HAVE THEIR FACES ON IT SHOWN EVEN IF ITS PUSHED OFF TO THE BOTTOM OR HIDDEN BEHIND SOMETHING ELSE BUT FOR THIS ONE WE SEE SUNDAY'S FACE ONLY MEANING IT'S GONNA BE HIS LC MEANING IT'S HIS PATH MEANING HE'S 100% PLAYABLE.
