"God is looking into our eyes through the eyes of Jesus. In Jesus, God is personally present, offering His infinite, unchanging friendship to every man, woman and child in the world. What Jesus has done is to unveil the Father so that we have communion with Him. "

12 Days of Christmas Anime, Day 11: Further Than the Universe and Friendship with God
Tumblr media
What is friendship? How do you know when you’re friends with someone? The Christmas episode of A Place Further than the Universe grapples with this deceptively complex topic as Yuzu’s insecurities and past hurts rise to the surface and threaten to cut her off from the other girls, just as they finally make it to Antarctica. The trigger? A birthday cake for Jesus. Yup. But what unfolds over the course of the episode is far from cheesy or surface-level, as the girls—instead of heaping Yuzu with platitudes and assurances—engage with these questions about friendship in deeply personal ways. There are no pat answers here. And as a result, this episode offers a great deal of insight into the nature of friendship—including friendship with God!—and sharing the good news with the broken-hearted.

That which makes the meetings of the righteous to differ from all other meetings in the world is to feel Jesus, the Savior, in the midst of them, and to feel their hearts and minds in unity and fellowship with him. This feeling and knowing transcends all words and professed beliefs.

It was just such a situation as this [mass defection in John 6] that called out the loyalty of Peter's heart. To him, the simple fact was that there was just no one else to go to. Jesus alone had the words of life. [But note this:] Peter's loyalty was based [not on mere intellectual assent, but] on a personal relationship to Jesus Christ. There were many things he did not understand; he was just as bewildered and puzzled as anyone else. But there was something about Jesus for which he would willingly die. In the last analysis, Christianity is not a philosophy which we accept, nor a theory to which we give allegiance. It is a personal response to Jesus Christ. It is the allegiance and the love which a man gives because his heart will not allow him to do anything else.

I am praying that the eyes, ears and hearts of the unbelivers and those who have little faith, whose faith is fragile will be opened in the Name of Jesus. Holy Spirit, please be their Holy Guide and lead them to Christ, our only Savior Whom You sent us to give us eternal life that no one can take away from us. Thank You for revealing the Truth to us even though we are just like the little children, not wise and learned (Matthew 11:25). I am praising Your Mighty Name for we are able to receive the grace of Yours.
Lord, thank You for opening our eyes to the devil's tricks and letting us know what methods he used to take us away from you and lead to hell. Lord, thank You for teaching us how our prayer life should look like and how it shouldn't look like. Lord, we try our best to be obedient to You, but we fail a lot of times and fall short before the glory of Yours. Lord, forgive us that we sometimes have the desire to come back to the wicked ways of the one that is unworthy to be running to. Lord, I also want to praise You and show You my thankfulness for letting me learn how strong the power of the Mighty Name of Jesus is.
Thank You for letting me realize that we sometimes feel afraid to use it against the enemy when being in a spiritual warfare not because we are afraid of doing it ourselves, but because the devil wants to make us not call upon Your Only Begotten Son's Name for our help for he knows that he is weak and doesn't have the authority over our Lord of Lords. Only God has the authority over everything and can do all things for He is Almighty. The enemy tries to close the door of our salvation and our friendship with Lord and he knows that only Almighty can close and open the door that He wants to open/close. Only God has the power to help us. Only our Jesus Christ's Name That is above the Name of all names has the authority to win over the enemy. For He overcame death for us.
Just receive His help and try your best to stay obedient to His Word. Remember, you have to make a decision to serve the Lord of Lords and King of Kings to receive His help. It's the same as it is with friends — when you want your friend to help you but don't receive His help. His blessings for you and every other human are in Heaven waiting to be sent on earth. You just have to pray and receive it in the Precious Name of Jesus. God bless you

part of my nimona viewing experience. idk why but i got super emotional in the first five minutes.
ID by @peachygos
[ID: A comic juxtaposing screenshots from Nimona 2023 and drawings of a person watching the movie. The first screenshot is Ambrosius's introduction; he grins at the camera as the news anchors introduce him, his name in big print on the screen. The person watching thinks with a bored expression, "Ah. Ok. This guy is gonna be the jackass. Typical golden-boy stuck-up prince that thinks he's better than the underdog. I see where this is going.
The next screenshot is of Ambrosius and Ballister on the platform above the arena, Ambrosius doing his news anchor bit and saying, "Aaand will Ballister be broody on the biggest day of his life?" Ballister laughs at his antics. The person watching now has a small smile, as they think, "Huh! Aw, they're actually nice to each other and are friends! I wasn't expecting that, that's nice-"
The third and final screenshot is a shot from behind of Ballister leaning his head on Ambrosius's shoulder. The caption reads "the knighting ceremony is just moments away." The person watching now has a touched, soft expression, like they're holding back tears. They think "OH." as a partially transparent doodle behind them bends over crying and blubbering, with another doodle showing their heart shot through with an arrow. /end ID]

Friendship with God: The Fear Factor
In the realm of spirituality and faith, the phrase “the fear of the Lord” can be perplexing. Fear typically invokes images of anxiety and dread, emotions we’d rather avoid. However, within the context of the Bible, the fear of the Lord takes on a profound and transformative role in strengthening our relationship with God. It’s not about trembling in terror but embracing a sense of reverence, awe,…

"There is an endless shore where we will meet," he told me -
and I understood:
It's like when you say to someone, "give me your number in case we get separated (we just met but I will not 💓 lose this 💓connection💓)"
he means to be with me tomorrow and always but
even if I never find this heartspace again
he will come and find me
even if I'm lying, the mere wreck of a soul, on Eternity's most inhospitable coastline

Deeper Friendship with God Through Prayer
“In the topography of Christian prayer, petition may be the space where the self of the person praying is most overt. Thus petition offers the possibility of intimacy: Something close to my real self (or at least, what I perceive my real self to be) is now revealed before God. Of course, God already knows my real self, better than I will ever know it. The intimacy that follows my petitions is made possible not by God’s new knowledge of me but my new availability to God.
Consider a mundane analogy: My best friend finally tells me about the infatuation she has been nursing for two months. Of course, I spotted the infatuation myself seven weeks before. Still, our friendship deepens, not because I have learned something new, but because in being willing to tell me about the crush, my friend has become more available to me.
Similarly, even though God is the one “unto whom all…desires [are] known, and from whom no secrets are held”—that is, even though God already knew that I wanted whatever it is I am asking for—I become more available to God when I offer what I understand of myself before God. The promise of petition, therefore, is increased closeness, a deeper friendship, with God.”

The essence of sin is that it separates a man from God. When Adam, in the old story, committed the first sin, his first instinct was to hide himself from God. The man who dies in sin dies at enmity with God; the man who accepts Christ already walks with God, [as Adam did before the Fall,] and death only opens the way to a closer walk. To refuse Christ is to be a stranger to God; to accept him is to be the friend of God, and in that friendship the fear of death is for ever banished.
