The Teacher Pt 5
"What do I do? What do I do?!"
Lycidas was scared. Aishwarya was just taken by Vilgax, and the Omnitrix wasn't recharged yet.
"Arjun! I gotta get Arjun!" He yelled, running back to the kingdom.
When he approached the gates, he was stopped by the guards.
"Halt!"
"No, c'mon, let me through! I have to talk to the King! The Commander's been kidnapped!"
"Relax, guards! That's a guest of mine!"
Arjun came to the gates, looking worried.
"Arjun! Vilgax took Aishwarya! We have to go after that ship!"
"Well, what are we doing here? Let's get him!"
Arjun ran to the armory, and grabbed two swords and armour. The Omnitrix finally times in, and Lycidas set the dial.
"So, how do we get to the ship?" Asked Arjun.
"I'm on it!" Said Lycidas, slapping down on the watchface.
"Lets fly!" Said Lycidas in his alien voice.
Grabbing Arjun, they made their way after Vilgax's ship.
They finally caught up, and Lycidas phased through the wall.
"Stay back!"
An energy beam made a huge hole in the ship, and Lycidas was now Laser Point (Chromastone). "This way!"
The two ran through the hall, but were stopped by drones.
"Ready for a fight, Uncle?"
Jumping into the air, Arjun stuck two swords into a drone, jumped off of it, and the drone exploded.
"I'll take that as a yes."
Lycidas blasted the drones with ultraviolet beams, and Arjun slashed and cut the drones into pieces.
Lycidas pressed his Omnitrix symbol, and he was human again.
"I'll destroy the power source, you find Aishwarya."
"Got it! Do you know where it is?"
"I've been on this ship so many times, I might as well live here. The prison cells just up ahead."
Lycidas ran to the engine room, and as he was about to destroy it-
"Not this time!"
He was flung across the room, by Vilgax.
"You've foiled my plans of conquest for the last time! If you're not going to give me the Omnitrix, I'll take it from your corpse!"
"Bring it on, Vilgy!" Lycidas said, slapping down the Omnitrix.
"EYE-m right here!"
From his eyes Lycidas fired multiple beams of energy, firing in different directions, some hit the engine, some hit Vilgax, and some hit everything.
"Insolent pest!" Shouted Vilgax.
"You took my aunt, you jerk! EYE oughta fry you up and serve you with fries!"
Lycidas fired at the engine, destroying it.
"NOOOOOOO!"
"Yes, Vilgy, yes!" He said, pressing the Omnitrix symbol on his waist, and he turned into Nitrocat.
"Now if you don't mind, I'm out of here!"
He ran through the hall, and found Arjun and Aishwarya, and he turned back to normal.
"Thank God you two are ok! I'd never forgive myself if you got hurt!" Said Lycidas.
"But the real question is how are we going to survive the crash?" Asked Aishwarya.
"Omnitrix still has a little juice. Hold on tight!" Lycidas said, slapping down the watchface.
They escaped through the hole Lycidas made, and got on the ground safely.
"Good job, kid! You saved the kingdom." Said Aishwarya as Lycidas turned human again.
"WE saved the kingdom. Vilgax could've done a lot worse than just kidnap you. Maybe he got caught in the explosion."
"Or maybe he's about to destroy you." Said a sinister voice.
Lycidas was picked off the ground, and turned to face Vilgax.
"Why can't you just stay dead, man?" Asked Lycidas, as he was choked.

Salutations, readers. Thank you for joining me once again. As always, I am Phobos Shiverings, Frightmaster General of the Bureau of Occult Operations (or B.O.O. for short), and I am here to provide official response to inquiries on monster activities taking place in the human world. I am pleased to report that there are currently no emergency notices to share with you, therefore we will proceed directly to your correspondence.

Dear Mr. Shiverings:
My son is convinced that there’s a vampire living under his bed. I’ve been doing everything I can to help him feel safe, but on our tight budget we can’t afford to keep buying garlic at this rate. To your knowledge, is there any vampire activity in northern Vermont? If so, is there some way we could make an appeal?
While they do enjoy dark and cramped spaces, vampires tend to avoid the area beneath a human bed due to the exposed sides and constant presence of others while they attempt to sleep. More likely, this is a wraith trying to blend in. You see, wraiths tend to lack confidence in their own reputation and ability, and so often use illusions to disguise themselves as other, better-respected types of monsters. I’ve reviewed our files on wraith activity (and that of vampires, just to be certain), and it appears we do have one wraith currently scouting in the general area of New England; they have been contacted, and once they provide a statement I will update this post with further information. In the meantime, please tell your son not to worry: wraiths are completely harmless, and never stay in one place for very long. If the situation shows no progress in two weeks, please contact B.O.O.’s Main Office at the number listed on the bureau’s website.

I think my dog is really a werewolf! He’s super smart like a human and whenever there’s a full moon he howls and gets really grumpy! I told my daddies but they don’t believe me, help me convince them!
It is not uncommon for civilian werewolves to become attached to humans and play the role of the family pet. Since that is for them to decide privately, it is impossible for me to say with absolute certainty whether or not this is the case with your dog, but I would advise you to play along nonetheless. Monsters are generally forbidden from revealing themselves in the human world as a result of the Treaty of Spinbrak, and so these werewolves must maintain their disguise at all times in order to remain with their family. Either way, you are very lucky to have made such a loyal friend.

Dear Shivers:
Last month I saw my cousin at the family reunion. He’s older than me (almost done with high school), but we still get along really well. When we were talking, he said someone he knew was a “harpy”, but when I asked him what that was, he said he’d tell me when I’m older. I found out it’s some kind of monster, but I don’t get it: does he know an actual monster? Is that allowed?
I’m afraid that’s not the case. Unfortunately, despite improving relations, some humans still use the names of monsters as insults when referring to other humans, and harpies are disproportionately referenced in this negative way. I won’t detail the stereotype here, but the truth is that harpies are highly intelligent and observant monsters whose social relations tend to operate very differently from most humans. They are, however, completely capable of living in harmony alongside humans, and have thriving communities in areas such as Greece, Portugal, and Lithuania with a rich history that I would encourage you to explore. Similarly, I would encourage your cousin to educate himself on such matters and think more carefully about the way he speaks of others.

Lately my daughter has taken up talking to the gargoyles at our local cathedral. I didn’t think much of it at first, but now it seems she’s spending more time with them than the children her own age. Should I be concerned?
Not at all. In fact, I commend her: gargoyles have historically been outcasts in the monster world, being judged unfairly by the actions of their distant ancestors, even now. It sounds as though your daughter has chosen to befriend them nonetheless, and I can only imagine what that must mean to these gargoyles. You have raised quite the kind soul.

Meet the wickedly wonderful Fright Bone Candy Cookie!

Personality: Energetic, Determined, Happy, Rowdy, Eerie, Dangerous, Short-Tempered, Gremlin, Violent when Angry
Story: This Cookie seems to predate most of history- aside from the Millennial Tree, of course. For as long as cookies have existed, there has been fear- and as long as there has been fear, there has been Fright Cookie. Bringing cookies fear of the things that could hurt them to protect them- though they’ll often simply do it to amuse themselves- this cookie’s very presence puts others on edge. In order to blend in, they’ve taken up the name Bone Candy Cookie- a title they seem to love immensely. Though they still frighten cookies, they treat their duty much less seriously now. Their Frightmaster Staff is their greatest weapon.
Ability: Fearful Darkness- the screen goes dark- though not too dark to blind the player- with light coming from Bone Candy’s eyes and staff to guide the player. Energy-boosting Fearful Jellies appear on-screen as Bone Candy floats and increases in speed. Float near the Fearful Jellies to collect them- they often form a curving pattern- which gives massive points and restores energy.

It was pretty dark outside, and he hadn’t been paying much attention at the time, mind focused on a new song he planned to have out before the end of the week. All a bad mixture, considering what was about to happen. He had no idea who it was, or even if they intended on targeting him, but that’s what ended up happening. The musician had just slipped his phone back into his pocket when a hooded man slipped out of the shadows, bumping into him and knocking the distracted man out of his thoughts. Regaining his balance, he moved to continue on, before a hand shot out and gripped his elbow tightly and turning him around quickly. Nate’s feet weren’t positioned correctly for that kind of movement and he fell forwards – straight into a knife.
Pain blossomed through his side and continued to grow as the knife was pushed deeper into his stomach. The taste of iron filled his mouth, and he gagged slightly, warm crimson dribbling down his chin. The knife pushed in a little deeper, before being yanked out at an upwards position, leading to a jagged cut that extended slightly above the entrance wound. Suddenly his legs gave out, and Nate hit the ground hard, the worn sidewalk tearing at his skin as it connected, leaving smaller open wounds across his exposed skin. Shaking hands moved as quickly as they could, one wiggling his phone out of his pocket, the other moving to try and cover the knife wound, still oozing warm blood.
As the crimson liquid leaked through the musician’s fingertips, the other hand moved to open his phone and call someone. He first thought to call emergency services, but his mind was pain-ridden, and Nate let that thought slip, more concerned with calling someone he really cared about and letting them know what had happened, because as the seconds ticked by, he felt weaker and weaker. He knew even if he did call emergency services, he’d never make it alive. Listening to the dial tone ring out through the empty street, he used most of what was left of his strength to maneuver onto his back, staring up at the sky.
The sound of the call connecting brought him back to the present, as his mind had begun wander, and he looked over at the phone. “H-hey—“ A harsh cough racked his body, and flecks of crimson speckled the ground. “Uh… I—I love you. I hope you know that. Can you—Can you do me a favor, please? Let everyone know what hap–pened, and uh… just—“ Another cough, “T-tell everyone that I loved them, and I'll m-miss them..."
“I love you… I wish I co—could tell you just how much I do, but I can’t… I’ll see you later I guess…” And with that, the last of Nathan’s strength fades away, and the world fades to black, the calls of the person of the phone going unheard.

I'm going to start with the Original Series aliens. Basic plot is Lycidas finds the Omnitrix and uses his new powers for the good of humanity. (His missing arm gets replaced when he transforms, that's why all these aliens have all their limbs.)

Lycidas' Name: Bad Dog
DNA Sample: Vulpimancer
Design Inspiration: Original Series/ Omniverse
Powers: Sharp Claws and Teeth, Sightless Sensing, Enhanced Agility and Strength.
Bad Dog is one of Lycidas' go-to aliens. As a Vulpimancer, Lycidas lacks eyes in this form, but instead, has an incredible sense of smell that allows him a form of "sight-smelling". However, he cannot speak in this form, but who needs that when your an orange ape-dog?

Species: Piscciss Volann
Design Inspiration: Original Series
Powers: Underwater Breathing, Strong Jaws, Tail Formation, Bioluminescence
When Lycidas first used this form, he thought he was a Merperson. Gillman is perfect for tackling foes under the waves, with incredible swimming speed and jaws that can bite through steel. Lycidas sometimes uses this form to socialize with the Merpeople.

Powers: Small Space Maneuverability, Heightened Intelligence, Machinery Manipulation, Agility
Sometimes, smaller is better, and in Little Guy's case, thats the truth. With incredible intelligence, Lycidas's Galvan form is perfect for cheating in class. Oh, and for saving the day, of course.

Powers: Fire Creation, Fire Manipulation, Fire Projectiles, Fire Immunity, Fire Surfing, Pyrokinetic Flight, Cryokinesis (when sick)
Fireworks was the first alien Lycidas turned into. His body is made out of superheated rock and he can shoot fire from his hands. But sometimes Lycidas's Pyronite form is seen acting as a campfire, or in the Gryffindor Common Room acting as a source of heat for his friends.

Species: Tetramand
Design Inspiration: Original Series
Powers: Enhanced Strength, Durability, Agility, Speed, Hand-to-hand Combat
Tetramands are a warrior race who view females as the superior gender, but to Lycidas, Quadceps is the ultimate tickle machine. With incredible strength, speed, and agility, Lycidas' Tetramand form is a heavy hitter you can depend on.

Species: Ectonurite
Design Inspiration: Omniverse
Powers: Wall Phasing, Invincibility, Body Possession, Invisibility, Body Morphing, Flight, Space Survivability, Mana Absorption Immunity
In the Wizarding World, ghosts are imprints of people who inhabit the living realm. But Frightmaster would be considered more of a Muggle ghost, a horrible spirit sent from the depths of hell. But Lycidas uses his Ectonurite form to sneak into the school kitchens, the Restricted Section, other Common Rooms, and play good natured pranks on his friends.

Species: Kineceleran
Design Inspiration: Original Series
Powers: Extreme Speed, Wall Running, Water Running, Vortex Creation, Agility, Accelerated Thinking
Lycidas loves his Kineceleran form, mainly because with it, he'll never be late to class again. He just loves taking a few hundred laps around the lake in the morning. Also, when he's fighting enemies, they never knew Zoom Zoom hit them.
Stinkfly
Lycidas' Name: Stink Bug
Species: Lepidopterran
Design Inspiration: Original Series
Powers: Flight, Slime Projectiles, 360° Vision, Sharp Claws and Tail, Poison Gas, Strong Odor, Aerial Combat
Stink Bug is another go-to guy, because to Lycidas, who wouldn't want to turn into a giant fly and spit slime? But when Lycidas has to take out a dragon terrorizing Hogwarts, his Lepidopterran form always comes in handy.

After that, the Galvanic Mechamorph's built their society in a matter of days. Update can take any piece of machinery and transform it into a weapon. Although, there are some restrictions in the Wizarding World...

Design Inspiration: Original Series
Powers: Crystallokinesis, Crystalline Constructs, Crystal Projectiles, Weapon Manifestation, Hand-to-hand Combat, Strength, Durability
Petrosapiens are tough warriors from the lower levels of Petropia, who strive to take over their sophisticated upper level brethren on the surface, but to Lycidas, Geode's the ultimate can opener. He can alter his arms to become spiked bludgeons, a razor sharp sword, and a crystal shooter.
