No one stays the same. It’s OK.
Who you were at 15 can’t be who you are at 25, no one would think that’s ‘normal.’ People would question.
Who you were at 21 can’t be who you are at 31, people would wonder if you’d lived a sheltered life, never experienced the real world.
Some stay the same, most will change.
Who you show to your parents won’t be the same person you show to your siblings.
Who you show to your friends won’t be the same that you show to new friends, acquaintances or the general public.
Just because you hated tomatoes and were passionate about letting anyone who would listen know it, doesn’t mean one day tasting a bomb ass sandwich with tomatoes won’t have you chowing down on them like apples years later. You weren’t lying about hating them then, you aren’t lying about loving them now.
We can know something about people, without knowing everything about them, we can say we knew them then but still learn more about them now.
It’s up to us if we accept it or not. It’s not up to them to make us comfortable with it or not.
💜

One thing I genuinely think the fandom forgets or underestimates is just how weird Neil is. Like we paint him to be this carismatic, flashy, cocky bad boy, but in reality he's stingy, skittish, balks at anything more personal then his thoughts on Exy and Cannot for the life of him socialize. Like in the Raven King, right after Seth dies, he straight up goes:
"Neil had to patch things up with [Allison] somehow, but he didn't know where to start. He'd never been good at winning people over. Someone like Allison wasn't likely to be his first success. "
Neil's spent his life living on the outskirts of "average" life. Ergo, he's cagey and flighty and so far removed from normal that even among the Foxes he'll always be a little unpredictable and odd. And you know what, good for him; we all deserve an antisocial introverted asshole to raly behind.

some of you took "trans men are men" and ran with it and are now calling us oppressors, saying we benefit 100% from male privilege, saying we can't have internalized misogyny and a ton of other shit like i genuinely think radfems have poisoned your brains whether you realize it or not.

When you feel how hard he is after sitting on his lap and wiggle around just to make it worse for him while pretending not to notice how much he's struggling to hold it together

"Wah the woke gay agenda has gone too far they put gambit in a crop top" first of all I can't believe this is an actual take i saw with my eyes online. he looks incredible cry harder about it
secondly complaining about gay shit (like crop tops??!) in legitimately any iteration of x-men is a complete failure of media comprehension on a truly apocalyptic level
thirdly I want you to take a look at this picture and tell me where you see a single fucking ounce of heterosexuality. Look at this man in a pink breastplate, trenchcoat, thigh high boots and fingerless gloves and tell me where in the room the straightness is hiding:
PLEASE.

did you guys know that the woman who coined the term “final girl” is actually a scholar of Icelandic medieval poetry? I don’t know why this particular fact is standing out to me so strongly but just imagine, being an expert in 70s and 80s slasher films and writing a seminal work on gender and the horror audience...
and then going home and thinking about the Njála for the rest of the evening.

🌊✨Camping in Cornwall 1977✨🌊
This was one of the first scenes that I wanted to draw after reading Atyd.
Now that I look at it…the pillows are kinda overstimulating, but whatever these guys lived in the wizard world of the 70s…there had to be weird overstimulating patterns everywhere 😂
I have absolutely no idea how Tumblr works anymore but let me try anyway!
