“Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou” For Gets Third Anime Season

At the Maboroshi no Bouken to Kiseki no Kaigou (Phantom Adventure and Miraculous Encounter) original video anime's advance screening and chat show event, it was revealed that Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest would get a third season. In addition, the key crew and a teaser image were presented (pictured).

The anime doesn't do a good job of it but the first few chapters of the manga make arifureta really feel like it's going down the dark fantasy route.

(There's more in-between some of these)

Just look at these panels. This is good shit. Him flipping back and forth between a desperate urge to live and begging for the relief of death has emotion behind it. You really get the since he's losing his mind down there all chapter. In fact this early part is so gripping it actively makes the over the top ecchi power fantasy non-sense later worse. I'm not over the top power fantasy non-sense, with or without ecchi elements, I read fucking how not too summon a demon lord and liked it. The real problem is you actually EXPECT something else after this point. You've gotten invested in the gritty grimdark underdog story not the over powered protag story. You want to watch him struggle and rage and get kicked and kick back. You want to see where this goes. But then it doesn't go anywhere except a harem ecchi "comedy?" power fantasy that fails to both be a power fantasy OR funny on purpose. The most interesting part of the series becomes nothing more than window dressing for just another harem isekai. And the fact the MC is never enjoying himself, because of that window dressing, bogs down the whole mood of the over the top harem it seems the author really wanted to write.

I’m just going to do a quick rant about a certain anime because mAN

<Arifureta, from commonplace to the worlds strongest> must be the most infuriating anime I ever watched. The main character is whiny and unlikable in the beginning before he gets almost murdered after which he becomes even whinier and more unlikable, but with your average isekai MC power-scaling fuckery that makes him more or less immortal and able to fart out miracles left and right regardless of the situation.

The main premise of the entire series is “guy is so strong that everyone with two X chromosomes in a 5 mile radius wants to suck his dick” and the first addition to the harem is an immature vampire that honestly acts like an entitled little brat to everyone else in the party except for the MC, who she constantly talks about having babies with. I am not exaggerating when I say that is the literal only thing she talks about. Fucking the main character and being a bitch to everyone else.

Second addition is a bunny woman who I’m just calling “Tits MCgee” because that is her entire role, to be stupid and have the camera focus on her enormous rack every single fight-scene.

Third is a perverted dragon that (of course) is female and spends 99% of the time in her humanoid big booba lady form and we got introduced to her by the main character literally non-consentually shoving a huge metal spike up her ass. (I wish I was joking. I am not). This turned her on so much she decided to join the party.

Fourth is MC’s original crush before he got almost murdered and she’s about as useful as a spoon made out of mesh. She spends most of her time failing to do anything useful and gets bullied by the aforementioned vampire lady as well as the MC after he realized she was useless as well. MC literally had a scene where he tells her she’s fucking useless and having her around is dead weight. Why is she staying if no one in the party likes her? Fuck do I know. Probably because she wants to suck MC’s dick despite the fact that he hates her now?

And last but not least we now also have a LITERAL CHILD they found in a slave market (of course there is a slave market, otherwise it couldn’t be a modern isekai, right?) who’s “fatherly affection” towards the MC is a LITTLE SUSPICIOUS and yes. The vampire is jealous. of the literal child. because the child is close to MC. AN ACTUAL GROWN WOMAN IS JEALOUS AT A LITERAL CHILD. ok thanks got it off my chest please spare yourself the headache and don’t watch this anime ok thanks for coming to my TED talk bye

I know the public holiday of Chinese New Year (CNY) is over, but it actually isn't officially over. For brief context, CNY lasts 15 days. Tomorrow is the last day and I thought to quickly do a cluster anime review featuring 🐉DRAGONS🐉.

I have to clarify that the dragons don't necessarily have to be the main characters. If there's a scene featuring them, then it's enough to be on this list.

Also, 🚨SPOILERS🚨 as usual.

1️⃣ Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid

This anime talks about Tohru, the larger human in the picture above, deciding to become Kobayashi's personal maid as a way to thank her for saving her life. It is also a one-sided romance (on the dragon's part).

It is more of a slice-of-life anime as we witness Tohru and Kobayashi living together, with Kobayashi being the sole breadwinner of this weird family, and Tohru being the "housewife" of this weird family.

The only reason I would watch this without any complains is because of Kanna. That little white girl in the picture above, she is insanely adorable.

Anyway, all of this is based on memory since I watched this quite some time ago. But I do not have any adverse reactions to this anime so I'd say it's worth a watch. If nothing else, do it for Kanna!

2️⃣ Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest

This anime started out as super violent, but it eventually died down to be meh.

Arifureta talks about a class being teleported to another world. The main protagonist, Hajime, was betrayed by a classmate... technically being pushed by a classmate, and fell deep into the dungeons. There, he met his first harem wife, Yue, a vampire princess who was betrayed by her own kind as well.

Together, they cleared the dungeon and made it out alive, and along the way, Hajime gathered more comrades like collection to his ever growing harem. Because of what he had to do to survive in the dungeon, he became ridiculously strong.

Now, it seems like an interesting anime but the action seems to have died down a lot ever since Hajime surfaced to the world above. As mentioned earlier, Hajime was gathering allies, but it felt more like he was collecting more women to add to his harem collection. I know this is the author's intention, but seriously, can't we just have one anime that doesn't focus on this kind of thing?

I am not saying that it is a bad anime; on the contrary, it is a good anime. Just that it is getting annoying that anime authors decided to focus more on other things than the plot of the story. Plus, the one ick I have about this anime is that his own teacher fell in love with him.

Rating: 6.5⭐/10

3️⃣ Yuusha Party wo Tsuihou sareta Beast Tamer, Saikyoushu no Nekomimi Shoujo to Deau

It has been a while since this anime got any updates.

Rein Shroud, the beast tamer in the series, was kicked out by the hero's party because he was deemed useless. In fact, he was never regarded highly in the party as the rest of the hero's party members felt that his skill would not be useful in battle. As a result, he got kicked out of the party.

While many may mope and cry about it, Rein was actually happy about it. He went on a journey to become an adventurer himself, met many new friends and was able to gather an array of strong beasts.

It is quite a cozy anime to watch and I would recommend giving this a whirl.
