~Matthew 27:32-44 KJV ✝️

LESSONS:

📚Jesus was getting all kind of accusations and mocking. From so many people: the scribes, elders and chief priests; the soldiers, and even the thieves. And even His own friends betrayed Him earlier. Amazing that Jesus was so strong…to save us ♥️

📚Jesus never lied, they made fun of Him saying He will destroy the temple and build it in three days, but He was about to do that 😏

📚Of course Jesus could have come down from the cross, very easily. He could have prevented all this to happen. But He didn’t, in order to fulfill the scriptures and to save us. Let’s give our life to Jesus now! It is important! He loves you and will come soon. Invite Him in your life, He is knocking at the door 🚪.

SUMMARY:

Now they crucified Jesus in Golgotha - a place of a skull - and set up over His head His accusation written: THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS. Two thieves 🔗 were crucified with Him, one on the right hand 👉, and another on the left 👈. And they that passed by reviled Him, wagging their heads 😲. And saying: ‘’Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save Thyself. If Thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross ✝️.’’ The chief priests, scribes and elders also mocked Him saying: ‘’He saved others; Himself He cannot save. If He be the King 👑 of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe Him. He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now, if He will have Him: for He said, I am the Son of God.’’ Even the thieves cast the same in His teeth. —————————————

~Matthew 24:31-51 KJV 🧩

The day of the Lord; Jesus shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet 🎺, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. And NO ONE knows the day and hour of that day, but God only. It shall be like the days of Noah: people were eating 🍽 and drinking, marrying 💍 and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood 🌊 came, and took them all away. We are called to watch, for we know not what hour the Lord will come. If someone says in his heart that Jesus delays His coming and shall begin to do all kinds of evil 😈, the Lord will come in a day he is not aware of 😱, and shall cut him asunder, and appoint hum his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping 😭 and gnashing of teeth.

📚No one, but God, knows when Jesus will return. We are called to be aware of this and always be ready.

📚We are called to keep doing good and to not give up and do evil. Let’s do God’s will until the very end.

📚We are on the earth and have to do certain things, yes. We cannot give up some stuff. But we should live for Jesus. If it is difficult, we should pray for it!

~Matthew 26:1-23 KJV 🧳

Jesus told His disciples the Son of man will be betrayed to be crucified ✝️ after two days. The chief priests, scribes and elders of the people assembled together and consulted that they might take Jesus by subtlety, and kill Him 🩸. Later, even Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve went unto the chief priests and said he would deliver Him unto them 😏; for 30 pieces of silver. And from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him. Now on the Passover-feast, the disciples made ready the passover (to eat). When Jesus sat down with the twelve, He said: ‘’Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.’’ And everyone became sorrowful 😞. —————————————

📚How scared would you be if you knew you would die in two days? That should not be very pleasant. Imagine how Jesus must have felt at this time…

📚Jesus didn’t only know He would be crucified (and die), but that He would be betrayed. He even knew whom it was gonna be. With ease, He could have prevented this to happen. But He didn’t 💖.

📚Have faith in Jesus’ return. His return is soon! Give your life to Jesus.

The kingdom of heaven is as a man traveling 🧳 into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. Unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, according to his several ability. After a long time the lord returned and reckoned with the servants. One gained five talents more and the other two more. And the lord was happy 😃: ‘’Well done thou good and faithful servant 👍; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.’’ Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: And I was afraid 😟, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant… take the talent of him and give unto him that hath ten talents. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

📚The servants of the Lord. This is actually our story as well. Some people are given more talents or responsibilities than others. That does not mean he or she is better. It is just what we can bear. Nevertheless, we are called to gain profit with the talents. We should not hide it in the ground. 📚He that had, shall be given. Isn’t that a nice promise? It is like an encouragement. If we work and do God’s will, we will not only double our trusted goods, but we will receive even more. Let that be an encouragement for us to work.

📚And yes, it can be hard and scary to work for God. Maybe you don’t want to evangelize on the street. Be creative, maybe you can do it in another way? Or maybe you can do something else that gives honor to God. We should at least walk (live) as christians. —————————————

The high priest said unto Jesus: ‘’I adjure Thee by the living God, that Thou tell us whether Thou be the Christ, the Son of God.’’ Jesus saith unto him: ‘’Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds ☁️ of heaven.’’ They accused Him of blasphemy and said He was guilty of death 😵. They spit in His face, buffeted him and smote Him with the palms of their hands ✋, saying: ‘’Prophecy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote Thee?’’ Now Peter sat in the palace and a damsel came and said he was also with Jesus of Galilee. But Peter denied 🤷‍♂️: ‘’I know not what thou sayest.’’ He went into the porch, and another maid said unto him he was with Jesus. But Peter denied again 😳. Later other people came and said he is one of them, because his speech betrays him. But Peter began to curse and to swear 🤬, and denied. Immediately the cock crew 🐓. And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly 😭.

📚Because Jesus said He is the Son of God, He was guilty of death? Wow. And the cruel things they did to Him, spitting in His face and hitting Him in the face. They even made fun of Him by telling Him to prophecy who smote Him in the face. Our hero went through this all, just for us. ♥️

📚Peter denied He knew Jesus, three times! But you see he felt sorry after he realized he did something wrong. How about us, do we feel sorry when we realize we did something wrong?

📚Let’s pray to God that we do the right thing in our life and that we thank Jesus all the days of our lives, for the great thing He did and for going through these painful and hard situations. —————————————

We should watch and pray that we enter not into #temptation, the #spirit indeed is willing, but the #flesh 🥩 is #weak. He went away again the second time, and prayed 🙏, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done. He even went a third time and prayed the same again. ‘’The hour is at hand 🕛, and the Son of man is #betrayed into the hands of #sinners. Behold, he is at hand that doth #betray me.’’ Judas - who was about to kiss Jesus, as a sign - and with him a great #multitude with #swords ⚔️ and staves, came. Jesus said: ‘’#Friend, wherefore art thou come?’’ And they took #Jesus.

📚’The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. In verse 43 we read that the disciples were sleeping 😴, because their eyes 👀 were heavy. We have to train our flesh, so it is obedient to us. So we can work.

📚Wow, how scary must this situation have been. Jesus knew exactly what time it was and was taken. Absolutely incredible. And He let it happen too, just for us. 😭 How beautiful! ♥️

📚Jesus called Judas a ‘’friend’’, when he betrayed Him. That is amazing. Some of us might probably swear when we know someone will betray us, but Jesus was loving. Jesus was loving, in the next verse we see that one person smote off the ear 👂 of the servant of the high priest. We would probably do that, Jesus is loving. —————————————

📚’’My blood 🩸 of the New Testament.’’ What a beautiful phrase. And glad it is, because we don’t have to offer any animals anymore and can now be fully forgiven 🙌.

📚Wow, Jesus says everyone wil forsake Him, but when He is risen again He will go before them, those who forsook Him. Amazing and a good reminder for us. We might be unfaithful to God, but God will not be unfaithful to us (2 Tim. 2:13). 📚Jesus was fully human, so He had feelings too. Would’t you be scared 😱 or very sad 😢 if you were about to be crucified? It is a wonder that Jesus went on the cross. Let’s thank Him for that. And the best thing is: HE IS RISEN!

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world… Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me 👏. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart 😠 from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire 🔥, prepared for the devil and his angels… Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 📚Yes, the righteous shall one day be separated from the wicked. So that means you are either a sheep or a goat. 📚The sheep have done several things: ‘’For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.’’

📚The wicked haven’t done this and will ask Him when this was so. We don’t want to be at the place that was prepared for the devil and his angels right?

Blind and lame men came to Jesus in the temple and He healed them. The chief priests and scribes were sore displeased when they saw the wonderful things that He did and the children crying in the temple: Hosanna to the son of David. They said unto Him: ‘’Hearest Thou what these say?’’ And Jesus said: ‘’Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?’’ The next morning Jesus was hungered and saw a fig tree in the way. He found nothing thereon when He came to it and said unto it: ‘’Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away. The disciples marveled when they saw it and said: ‘’How soon is the fig tree withered away! Jesus said: ‘’If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain ⛰, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.’’

📚We see that certain leaders or teachers were not happy with Jesus. Maybe some pastors or teachers are not happy with some of us as well. But we should never forget that live is about Jesus. Of course our boss at work and teacher of school are important, we should respect them, but we should do God’s will over all. 📚Jesus was hungry and wanted some fruit. There was none to be found. Maybe we are the fig tree. Jesus might be asking some stuff of us, but we don’t bear any fruit. Let’s pray that we will bear the right fruits. 📚Prayer, it is so important. Whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, BELIEVING, you shall receive. Faith is also very important. We can move mountains in that case. But let’s do right, look at James 4:3 —> Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard 🌾.And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny 💰 a day, he sent them into his vineyard. And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace, And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way. Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise. And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle? They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive. So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first. And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny. (Remaining in comments)

📚There were certain labourers which had not been hired yet. Maybe it is the same for some of us: No one sees you, no one talks to you, no one likes you. But my friend, be confident in this: Jesus loves you and would like to work with you. Just like the householder hired the labourers. 📚When we have chosen for Jesus, and Jesus for us, we might experience all kind of hardships. Some more than the other. And maybe those who suffered a lot deserve more praise, but with Jesus it is different. We deserve the same, we are all sinners and all forgiven. So let us be happy for everyone and not be selfish. 📚The labourers were taken into the vineyard by the householder. They had to work. What about us? We are in the world, taken by Jesus. But do we work? Let’s do God’s will.

But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more 🤑; and they likewise received every man a penny. And when they had received it, they murmured 🤨 against the goodman of the house, saying, these last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day 😓. But he answered one of them, and said, friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny? Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last even as unto thee. Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

When we read the Bible and the apostles, do we recognize Jesus as our Lord?📗 📘Amazing! A rich man - being a disciple of Jesus - asking for the body of Jesus to bury it. Maybe some of us also have lots of possessions, but we still have to recognize Jesus as the only and true thing we need in our life.📘 📙The women were keeping an eye on Jesus. Even to the point that His body was wrapped in the tomb. And His body was wrapped in clean linnen cloth. What about our body? Are we getting clean? 🧼 Or do we still live in our sinful nature?📙 ————————————— 📝STORY📝 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly 🙀, saying, Truly this was the Son of God ✝️. ~Matthew 24:15-30 KJV 🧩

' Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

📚This is actually a big chapter. Talking about lots of things that will happen in the future, or are here already. 📚The return of Jesus is really unexpected, no one can predict the exact time. Even if someone could, it probably would still be a surprise. Thank God Jesus helps us in this life so we can be clean, completely by HIS grace.

📚Blessing and honor, glory and power, be unto the ancient of days 🎶. There is a song called: “Ancient of days’’. We can sing that to praise God.

~Matthew 24:1-8 KJV —————————————

And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.

📚The signs of the end of this age. Wow. Deceivers, wars and rumors of wars. Nation rising against nation, kingdom against kingdom. Famines, pestilences, earthquakes. And this is just the beginning. Sounds scary. Nevertheless, Jesus has told us we should not be troubled. Let’s not be afraid, we don’t have a spirit of fear. 📚It looks like some things have already come to pass. Or maybe even today. Or maybe they still have to come. At least one thing is certain, we don’t know when Jesus will return. Could this be the end times? Or is it not yet there? However, we should always be ready for Jesus. 📚Many shall come in Jesus name and deceive many. These days there are so many people who claim to know when Jesus will return. Or that they heard of God. The thing is that we don’t know, unless God tells us or shows us. But we should always be careful with these people. They seem so strong and mighty, but Jesus is the only Lord. the Bible is the truth.

~Matthew 23:14-39 KJV —————————————

Jesus says the scribes and Pharisees make long prayers for a pretence. ‘’Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean 🧼 also. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful ✨ outward, but are within full of dead men's bones 🦴, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.’’

📚Making long prayers just to be heard of God… do we really think that works? Of course we can repeat a prayer, Jesus did that as well. But we should actually pray in the spirit, with our heart. Only words are nothing, a prayer in faith is good.

Jesus said in Matthew 6: ‘’But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.’’

~Matthew 23:1-13 KJV —————————————

Jesus told the multitude and His disciples that the scribes and the Pharisees command the people certain things, which they themselves do not. Heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. The only reason they do these stuff is to be seen of men. ‘’But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.’’

📚Let’s be careful in whom we follow. Some people and preachers might seem very great, strong and powerful, but from the inside they might not be so ‘’good’’. They command us stuff to do which they themselves don’t, and they are very heavy. Jesus Himself said: ‘’For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light’’ (Mat. 11:30). Let’s listen to Jesus, not necessarily to humans.

📚’’And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.’’ Some people call their pastors ‘’father’’ or ‘’daddy’’. Come on! the Bible says we should NOT do that. God is our Father, not our pastor.

📚What is our intention behind the things we do? Is it to be seen of men? But isn’t God our King? Let’s do everything for Him.
