How about selfies that do not contain faces or bodies (or just hands and forearms)? Can it still retain kinesthetic sociability? I find Studyblr photos to have a similar energy as it mediates feelings of studying, college/student life and education. What about front-facing vlogging/videos? Many such videos are filmed on the move.

trigun college!au where knives doesn't think you're good enough for vash, and hates how close the two of you seem to be getting as your friendship develops. so of course the obvious solution is to fuck you within an inch of your life on a semi-regular basis so that you don't get any ridiculous ideas about trying to date his little brother.

#no one is online and therefore i'm allowed to post this #nai wanted him and vash to go to a better more prestigious school #but vash's heart was set on this one #so he followed (with the obvious intention of convincing him to transfer somewhere more respectable after a semester or two) #you and vash meet at frosh week and have a few classes together #and knives resentfully watches as the years pass and you ingratiate yourself further and further into his brothers life #he waits until you're at a party one night to put his plan into motion #finding you in a dark corner when you FINALLY leave his brothers side for more than a few fleeting moments #and he corners you with his big BIG frame and has every intention of questioning you and YOUR intentions with regards to vash #but you're blinking up at him with slightly intoxicated doe eyes that make him uncharacteristically hesitate #next thing you know he's dragging you into some random room at the stupid house party he never even wanted to attend in the first place #and the rest they say.... is history #(plot twist your friendship with vash is completely platonic and you've had a crush on nai all along anyway) #trigun college!au

if escape rooms as team building exercises became popular im not sure if id be more excited or terrified

#if it isnt already anyway.. i can see it happening as a school frosh thing. idk if it would catch on as a workplace thing #i kind of find the concept of being locked in with strangers and working to find a way out weirdly exhilarating though #at least compared to icebreakers cause i dont have to spend 10 minutes racking my brain for something to blurt out abt myself #as a bonus u could like. put people into groups and give prizes to whoever escapes first second third etc. apparently they also do themed #escape rooms.. maybe let people pick a theme? or voluntary sign up? actually this would be really fun for smth like a blind friend date #although if i found out i was locked in a room with an online friend id be too excited to actually escape LOL #ive never done an escape room before so sadly i cant speak from experience. its like up there on things i want to try next to rug tufting #workshop and visiting new art exhibits or conventions. i seriously need to get out more if it wasnt for the horrors <- school and anxiety #i was planning to invite cass to a drop-in art workshop in town but neither of us could go bc typography is making us go thru hell and back #AND THEY HAD A BUTTON MACHINE TOO #im nostalgic bc i miss working in groups and not being awkward abt it or worrying abt schedule conflicts #i realized that i learn best in groups and its a little corny but i like sharing ideas and talking through a problem #in elementary i could just sit down with friends for review and come out of it energized *and* more familiar with the material #and i could technically still do it now. but as adults we're more picky abt who we work with on top of being way more busy outside school #maybe im lonely. im shy and grew up not talking to ppl unless i absolutely have to so its hard to make friends on my own i guess #only thing getting me thru it is telling myself that humans like helping and that my cringe is overblown in my head. but its hard #hence the escape rooms. i have been able to talk to 2(!!) people though!! mostly abt school stuff but im glad to be on friendly terms #i dont really know how to be happy these days cause im constantly scaring myself abt my portfolio and finding places to work #not being ambitious is part of not wanting to put energy into something that wont work out while also not having the passion to do literall #anything else.. i should probably talk to my counsellor ugh #yapping

ok it's jokes and all but i find myself so intrigued and amused by the way that people's interests and lives inform their writing and plot structure. i'm going through the original dune at the moment and the sheer amount of time the narrative spends mooning over the intricacies and machinations of random interactions that won't matter in a few narrative weeks is very very real and funny. we get a magic tree house's worth of information about, oh, the esoteric geneticist nuns running everything, and then it's all evony dailies and this kind of paranoid fixation every paragraph all the time on fbi tier machinations of body language. the only normal people in all of this are a pair of spacers with one exchange of five lines or so between them, less than 200 pages into a behemoth of more than thrice that length

ahh well unfortunately it’s not really by choice 😔 i start law school in a couple weeks and i’m kinda piloting blind, yknow? in a whole new city studying material in my second language and i don’t really know anyone or have many connections in the field… so i’m rlly gonna try and dedicate myself to Being A Good Student and Networking and Being Normal, which means my time for Being A Seb Stan will probably diminish to almost nothing ): already even just with the move i haven’t been able to sit and work on creative projects and i’m so emo over it, it’s probably unhealthy..

idk, i know people have been able to manage a school-work-social balance and i may be good enough to do that at some point? but ugh atm this is the biggest opportunity of my life and i really don’t want to fuck it up by prioritizing things that aren’t as important ahhh 😭
