Looks like Mattel is doing their own version of the (Target exclusive) Frozen Royal Family set Hasbro did a few years ago. I think the faces for Iduna and Young Anna and Elsa looked better on the hasbro versions. Agnarr looks about the same but I can't tell if he has molded on pants again or they gave him real pans this time

Upcoming and future projects
Hello folks! 🤗
Thought I'd shed some light on the fandom-projects that are currently in the works within the walls of the Archives.
Starting next week (January 29th), we will re-release the current works produced by the members of the Archives 2021-2023!
The following weekend (February 3rd), I will unveil the Archive's newest addition: my version of the Arendelle royal family tree!
Using information provided by the movies, books and other sources, I've attempted to piece together every known member of the royal fjord-dwellers and present them in the most comprehensible way possible!
I started working on and off with this idea some time last year and I'm happy it's finally coming together. Below you can find a teaser showing some of the progress from August 2023 to January 2024!
Tumblr media
(excuse the blur, I'd like to save the complete structure for when it's ready 😉)
For the future, I've planned to make a major revision of my old project An odyssey through Frozen geography. Besides exploring Arendelle and the real-life places that inspired it, I will also cover a few other topics like culture, architecture, technology and a few other things that are still in early development.
Also, be sure that when Frozen III eventually comes around, you will hopefully see a renewed Annals of Frozen edition covering the new events and any possible backstory!

Bad Blood
Frozen and Frozen II shows two generations of the Arendellian royal family tree. While most of these past and present rulers were/are good, decent, benevolent people, there is one person who stands out from the rest of them in terms of personality and deeds: Runeard.
The third act of Frozen II reveals that Runeard was not at all the kind, giving, generous ruler that his granddaughters and the Arendellians believed he was. Elsa learns this when she comes upon a manifestation of him in Ahtohallan, during which his memory figure reveals his abhorrence of magic, distrust of and bigotry towards the Northuldra because they follow magic, and that the dam he built in the Enchanted Forest was to ruin them, not help them as he claimed. Dangerous Secrets revealed more about Runeard regarding the depths of his cruelty and how distant he was towards his family. And now Polar Nights has uncovered even more of Runeard’s evil ways: he lied about the circumstances surrounding the death of Princess Sissel of Vesterland, saying that she was murdered by her Inger, her younger sister, because she was jealous and wanted the crown for herself, and it all had to do with him making sure he could build the dam and ruin the Northuldra.
With the film, the two novels, and the film’s novelization uncovering the malevolence of the former king of Arendelle, I wish to write one more essay discussing his villainy, and how his nature makes him stand out from the rest of his family, making him the bad blood in his family tree. 😉
Lying King, Drama Queen
I’ve said this countless times in my analyses about him, but with what Polar Nights has revealed about him in terms of his malevolence, I will say it once again. Though he appeared to outsiders as a noble, kind, generous, peaceful king, Runeard was truly a cruel, hateful, selfish, dishonest, bigoted, paranoid tyrant who was so obsessed with his power and status that he prioritized it over everything and everyone else. In his position, he arrogantly believed he was the smartest and best person of all in society, and prejudicially considered everyone else who was below him in status to be inferior to him in every way. Such people included his family, soldiers, servants, and even his people and other peasants. Runeard was so dead set on preserving his power at all costs that he wouldn’t tolerate anything he perceived as a competition, challenge, or threat to it, especially magic and beings who had any connections to magic. If anyone got in the way of his schemes, he would try to get rid of them (not excluding murder), though in subtle, secret ways to cover his dark motives and avoid having his people uncover his his good facade. When he and his kingdom met the Northuldra, indigenous peasants who lived far north in the Enchanted Forest with elemental magical spirits, Runeard pretended to accept and make peace with them. In truth, however, he feared their magical ties meant they would try to defy and overpower him, maybe even take over his kingdom, so he refused to take a chance in trusting them and orchestrated a plot to eliminate them. But being fearful of what the spirits’ magic could do if he tried using direct force, Runeard decided to take a more subtle approach by building a dam to ruin the Enchanted Forest and eventually the people. He knew the adverse effects a dam has in a natural environment, and in his arrogance, he knew his people, and assumed the Northuldra, would not have this same knowledge, allowing him to fool all of them into believing his lie that the dam would be built as a gift of peace.
To build the dam, Runeard needed the financial contributing of neighboring kingdoms, one of which was Vesterland, and he invited the heir princess Sissel and her little sister Inger to Arendelle to discuss their patronage. Being an avid environmentalist and aspiring scientist, Inger realized the crushing effects the dam would have to the ecosystem of the Enchanted Forest. It would also lead to the extinction/migration of animals, which would deprive Vesterland of food sources. While Runeard knew the negative consequences of what the dam would do to the forest and to Vesterland, as Sissel said, he just didn’t care. This shows just how selfish and uncaring Runeard was about how his actions affected other things and other people, unless it suited himself. Despite Inger’s persistence, Sissel feared speaking up against Runeard, worried that doing so would lead to him punishing their kingdom by preventing them from receiving food, medicine, and other tradable supplies, since he controlled the port. Inger finally managed to talk some courage into Sissel, who agreed to request a new audience and tell Runeard that Vesterland would not contribute in funding the dam’s construction. In doing so, the sisters could have also told other kingdoms that the dam would actually harm, not help, the forest and convince these kingdoms not to help with building it, either.
Without enough funds needed to construct the dam, the project would never get off the ground, and Runeard’s true sinister intentions could have been exposed to outsiders. However, it was seconds later that tragedy struck when Sissel was swept into the nearby river by a flash flood and drowned as Inger looked on helplessly. Inger and Stig Petter, a shepherd boy who was the sole witness to Sissel's death, went to Runeard to report the accident. Even with Sissel dead, Inger would have never stopped fighting to make sure Runeard could not build the dam. Seeing an opportunity to be permanently rid of a vocal opponent of the dam, and to ensure its construction got off the ground, Runeard blackmailed Stig into lying that Inger killed her sister for the crown. If Stig didn’t do it, Runeard said he would tell people Stig helped Inger do it and face imprisonment, or face an even worse punishment. Though Stig tried to stand up for himself by outright telling Runeard he would tell other people about these threats, Runeard laughed scornfully in his face and said that no one would ever believe the word of a poor shepherd against that of a king. This confirms what I have theorized that Runeard thought lowly of shepherds and other such peasants, meaning his bigotry extended to classism. Fearing for his life, Stig relented and testified in court that Inger had murdered her sister, and Runeard then rewarded Stig for his lie with bribe money. Though he used this money to buy a home in the village outside of Harmon and no longer had to be a shepherd, Stig was too ashamed to ever face the outside world again for what his lie had caused. Runeard then sent Inger on a ship to the gallows so she could be hanged.
Being so mad with power and protective of it, Runeard did not even care about his own family. He only wanted a child because he needed a successor to rule Arendelle when he passed away, and he got married because it was the only legal way for him to produce an heir. Furthermore, he married Rita because she was a princess in another kingdom, and he saw marriage to another monarch as just another way to increase his status and power, not to mention using the alliance between their kingdoms to his own advantage. To Runeard, Rita and Agnarr were mere assets to his image and their kingdom instead of people to love. Outside of their own royal ranks, Runeard otherwise saw his wife and son as obligations and burdens for whom he did not want any true responsibility. Having been in an arranged married with Rita, he showed her no love or freedom during the years they were married. While Runeard gave her every kind of material good he thought she could ever want, this was the only kindness (albeit superficial) he showed Rita; all other times, he was cruel, neglectful, and verbally abusive to her and refused to treat her as his equal partner. One of their most infamous disagreements was the fate of Inger following Sissel’s death. Rita believed that Inger was innocent since she had gotten to know both sisters during their visit. But being set on destroying the threat he thought the Northuldra posed to him, Runeard was bound and determined that his plans to construct the dam came to fruition, even if it meant lying and getting rid of innocent bystanders who got in his way. When Rita tried to speak up for Inger in court, he silenced her and sent her to her chambers (and most likely locked her in to keep her from interfering) once she became a liability. With another obstacle to his scheme out of the way, Runeard had Inger wrongfully convicted of murder and sentenced to death. However, when the prison ship that was to carry Inger to the gallows set sail, Inger was not on it. What Runeard didn’t know was that Rita defied him by secretly arranging a way to help Inger escape by paying several men to take her off the ship and giving her safe passage to another.
As the years went by, Rita did find one source of joy from her union with Runeard, that being their son, Agnarr. She spent a lot of time caring for him and playing with him as he grew, and she even made him the puffin doll known as Sir JorgenBjorgen. However, Rita eventually became so depressed from missing her home that she spent all of her time in her room, lying in bed and crying as she pined for the life she left behind. Unable to understand how she could be so sad when she had everything she could ever desire, Runeard grew impatient with her and accused her of being ungrateful. After enduring years of nothing but mistreatment from her husband, and knowing that he would never allow her to leave otherwise, Rita finally broke down and went to the trolls in the Valley of the Living Rock. She begged Pabbie to erase her memories of her marriage and life in Arendelle just so she could have the free will to leave. After Rita vanished, Runeard was unwilling to accept he had been an awful husband and publicly blamed it on evil spirits. He also sought to remove all evidence of Rita's existence by locking away all her things and banishing anyone who would so much as even speak her name.
Besides feeling superior to other people, being king also made Runeard a very self-righteous, delusional person who believed he could never do any wrong. As a result, he refused to ever take responsibility for his own mistakes and problems that occurred in Arendelle and instead took the easy way out by using scapegoats, but particularly magical spirits since magic cannot defend itself. The best example was when Runeard blamed magic for Rita's disappearance since he refused to believe that he alone drove her away. Runeard cultivated undeserved xenophobia towards magic and its users in his kingdom so often that he successfully manipulated his people into doing the same, in which they would blame their own problems on magical spirits and see magic as an evil entity that is only meant to be feared. This shows that he was a direct influence over the kingdom's distrust of magic and anyone with ties to magic for decades, even long after his death.
Though Dangerous Secrets and Polar Nights are the only sources that have provided anything about Rita, albeit only a small bit, what they unveiled about her paints a portrait of a good (as in better than the kind of person her husband was) yet flawed woman. Polar Nights reveals that she took a big risk when she went against Runeard’s orders and secretly helped Inger escape Arendelle to avoid being executed for a crime she never committed. This proves that Rita was a good, kind, selfless woman who believed in doing what was right and helping those in need, especially the innocent. However, Dangerous Secrets shows she had a selfish side since she left Agnarr behind when she fled Arendelle. Though she had wanted to take him with her, she realized that there were too many risks in doing so, not simply for herself, but for him. If she fled into the night with Agnarr, Runeard would hunt them down just to get him back, though it would have out of him not wanting Rita to get away with taking his heir rather than out of genuine concern for Agnarr’s wellbeing. The worst possibility that he would start a war with Rita’s home country and thus endanger many innocent lives, including Agnarr. While some of my closest friends and I argue whether she was selfish or selfless to abandon Agnarr, I see it as both. Yes, it was selfish for her to just up and leave him, but I felt that for those first five years of Agnarr’s life, he was her only motive for staying; in other words, she loved Agnarr so much that she couldn’t bear to not be in his life. Perhaps she also stayed because she wanted to shield him from Runeard as much and as often as she could so that Agnarr’s nature would never be influenced by that of his father. When Rita finally left, however, I believe that she didn’t take Agnarr because by then, she felt inadequate to care for him all by herself. Perhaps she thought she was no longer a good mother to him and thought he was better off without her. While it still sounds selfish of her since she clearly knew Runeard would never be there for their son, maybe she felt Agnarr had a greater chance of living a good life in Arendelle with the good influences of their servants than with her if she abruptly left and dragged him with her into the unknown.
Once Rita was gone, Runeard was left alone with Agnarr. Not wanting to be responsible for his son’s welfare himself, he apparently left him in the care of the staff, at some point assigning him his own personal guard in Lieutenant Mattias. In the little seen of their relationship through Frozen II, its novelization, and Dangerous Secrets, Runeard was just as neglectful and abusive to Agnarr as he was to Rita. He was hardly involved in actually raising him, and whenever he did give Agnarr his attention, he treated him as an official (and expected him to always act as such) rather than a son. When he informed Agnarr that Rita was gone, he lied to him about it, saying she was carried off by evil spirits and wouldn’t come back. Of course, Agnarr spent many nights in his room, crying for his mother and wishing for her to come back. In response, much like he did with Rita when she spent so much time wallowing in grief and homesickness, Runeard was not sympathetic to his son’s grief. He grew annoyed with Agnarr’s continuous weeping and yelled at him for it, presumably telling him things like “Just get over it. She’s never coming back, and crying isn’t going to help.” Although he obviously couldn’t banish Agnarr for mentioning Rita, there is no doubt that Runeard otherwise refused to let him talk about her or let the staff talk about her if Agnarr tried to ask them questions. In doing so, Runeard persistently refused to let Agnarr have any memories of Rita, and if Gerda hadn’t hid away Sir JorgenBjorgen, he would have surely disposed of the toy. Whatever callous, harsh words Runeard told Agnarr then made him repress many of his emotions growing up, which especially came into play when he was thrust into unofficial kinghood following Runeard’s death and Lord Peterssen taught him the “Conceal, don’t feel, don’t let it show” mantra.
When the dam was finally finished, a celebration was held in the forest to in honor of the union between the two groups of people. Once the two groups came together, Runeard flicked Agnarr under the chin and ordered him to stand tall and be regal before telling him to stay with Mattias. Agnarr watched dejectedly as his father walked off with the soldiers and some of the tribe members, knowing Runeard did not want him around and wanted him to act like a prince, not like a child. A short time later, Runeard and Agnarr had their last interaction with each other during which the king harshly scolded his son for wandering off and exploring, then did so again when the latter voiced his fascination with the magic of the forest. Runeard angrily reminded him that magic is not to be admired but feared, and when Agnarr tried to apologize and explain himself, his father callously dismissed him without even saying goodbye. Later in the day, while many of the people were watching a reindeer riding event, the leader of the Northuldra confronted Runeard on his realizations that the dam was hurting the forest instead of helping it. Worrying someone else could overhear, Runeard suggested they meet privately on the fjord to discuss the matter. Once the two men were alone together, the evil king snuck up behind the leader and mercilessly murdered him, all just to prevent him from telling anyone else the truth about the dam. Immediate following the murder, Runeard claimed it was “For Arendelle”, though in reality, it was all just for his own selfish, sinister desires.
Knowing that the Northuldra would eventually discover their leader’s absence, Runeard panicked and diverted suspicion from himself by instigating the war with the tribe. He led his soldiers to believe the Northuldra had betrayed Arendelle and had attacked first. But since Runeard carried out this act on impulse, he showed negligence by not thinking about how his actions would affect everyone else, though at worst, if he did think about it, he obviously did not care. This whole move was his final act of blaming something to avoid taking responsibility for his own sins, and in doing so, he committed several more despicable acts, a few of which were even done posthumously:
His actions caused the two groups to fight meaninglessly, endangering many innocents and causing dozens of casualties on both sides. This undoubtedly proved that Runeard’s obsession with his kingship was so great that he had complete disregard for the lives of others around him and how what he did affected them.
His final act of neglecting Agnarr was putting him in great danger upon starting the war. While Mattias tried to protect him, the prince still got caught in the worst of the battle, ultimately being launched into a boulder and slipping into unconsciousness. Had Iduna not rescued him, Agnarr surely would have died, which would have Runeard’s bloodline entirely.
He indirectly trapped both the surviving Arendellians and Northuldra in a magical mist for decades to come, forcing them all to suffer due to his own xenophobia and wrath.
By painting the Northuldra as traitors who started the battle, Runeard made the Arendellians think that the tribe were a hostile group of people who would attack when/if given the chance, causing their hatred of them to grow to the point that they would kill any Northuldra who came upon the kingdom, forcing Iduna to hide her heritage for most of her life in Arendelle.
The Prince and the Pauper
Despite an unhappy childhood and being forced into early unofficial kinghood, Agnarr grew up to be a good man. This was most likely due to the (short-lived) good influences of his mother, Lieutenant Mattias, and his servants (including Kai and Gerda), and the fact that Runeard was hardly ever involved in raising him in the first place. Shortly after the battle in the Enchanted Forest, Agnarr met and befriended Iduna, who, unbeknownst to him, was Northuldra and the person who helped him escape the forest. By the time they were teens, they had become best friends and then fell in love, though they were worried that the differences in their social classes would keep them from being together forever. As the years grew closer for Agnarr to finally officially ascend to the throne, the council of Arendelle began pressuring him to consider marriage with another royal in order to create a political alliance (which is the kind of marriage his parents had) for the good of the realm. Agnarr felt such a transition would be difficult, as he didn’t think he could love another woman as much as he loved Iduna, and that other women couldn’t compare to her.
By this time, Agnarr had discovered the truth behind his mother’s disappearance. He and Iduna decided to visit the trolls for answers, and they learn from Pabbie that Rita married Runeard only out of duty to her own kingdom, and that she had her memories erased and left when she could no longer live with her homesickness and being trapped in a loveless marriage. Although Agnarr initially feels contempt at the revelation that Rita had left him behind, this quickly turns to sadness when Pabbie explains that she felt that it was the best option for him since there were too many potential bad repercussions if she took him with her.
However, Kai and Gerda had done their homework and discovered there was no law in Arendelle that said its reigning monarch must marry another monarch. They revealed this news to Agnarr and told him that they didn’t want to see him end up like his mother. When Gerda revealed she also saved Sir JorgenBjorgen and returns it to him, Agnarr tearfully looked at the stuffed animal and finally recalled the few happy memories he had of Rita. He believed that if his mother could see him now, she would encourage him to marry Iduna because he loved her, rather than marry a princess just for the good of Arendelle, since he was now at the same crossroads she had been when she had been forced to marry Runeard.
Like I said in “Family Matters”, Agnarr vowed to be a better man, husband, father, and king that his own father had been because of his genuine love for Iduna and from learning that his mother was abused and mistreated by Runeard just as he had been. From what both movies and the rest of Dangerous Secrets reveal, Agnarr managed to make good on that promise, with a lot of help and encouragement from Iduna. While he was surprised upon discovering Elsa was born with magic, he accepted her regardless and saw her as his daughter first rather than simply his heir. Though due to the Arendellians' hostility towards magic, Agnarr decided to keep Elsa's powers subdued and hidden from the kingdom as she was growing up.
After the accident with Anna, Agnarr vowed they would protect Elsa and help her learn to control her powers. Iduna initially questions if separating the girls and locking the gates is a good idea. Agnarr assures her that it will just be temporary, and that he wants to do it to protect the girls from the Arendellians’ potential reaction to Elsa’s magic, especially if they knew she had harmed Anna with it (even though it was a genuine accident). Following ten years of keeping the girls separated and no success in helping Elsa control her magic, Iduna finally reveals her Northuldra heritage to Agnarr and while he is initially shocked, that doesn’t stop him from still loving her. And when she tells him about Ahtohallan and that it might hold the answer to Elsa’s powers, Agnarr does not hesitate in accepting Iduna’s proposition to find it. Him saying, “I would go to the ends of the earth to help her” proved that his love for Elsa was unconditional, despite potential risks.
Although they made mistakes in having Elsa conceal her powers and keeping their daughters separated in struggling to help Elsa, Agnarr and Iduna still had good intentions and did what they thought was best for the girls. They put their daughters before their kingdom, ultimately proving that family truly came first for the former king and queen.
Arendelle: The Next Generation
While Agnarr and Iduna cherished and loved both their daughters, Anna and Elsa had unhappy childhoods since they were five and eight, respectively. Following the accident of almost killing Anna with her magic, Elsa was plagued with post-traumatic stress disorder and struggled to control her powers for 13 years. Likewise, Anna experienced loneliness and longing for Elsa after never being told why they had to be separated. Yet despite being somewhat damaged from their childhoods, Elsa and Anna grew up to be utterly kind, selfless, giving, loving people who care more about others than themselves, making them virtually devoid of all the flaws their grandfather possessed. They never show any true care or obsession for the power or status they possess as monarchs, nor do they see other people as being below them. They accept everyone they meet and treat them as equals rather than inferiors, regardless of their differences, including their servants, people, and even outsiders.
While Elsa has magical powers, both she and Anna share a common strength of unconditional love and a selfless desire to do what is right, especially for the good of others around them. When they discover their grandfather’s true motives for building the dam, they aim do what is right by destroying it to free the cursed mist on the forest. In doing so, they work together to bring a real union of peace between Arendelle and the Northuldra, effectively tarnishing Runeard’s legacy forever.
Final Thoughts
Though all the past and present king and queens of Arendelle were flawed, all of them but Runeard were ultimately good people and benevolent rulers. This makes Runeard stand out from the rest of them, almost like a black sheep (or even like a “big bad black sheep” instead of calling him a big bad wolf 😆). While his descendants do contain some of his flaws, like Anna possibly inheriting some of his extreme stubbornness, it’s clear that they otherwise nothing like him, and the good in them was passed down from their parents and Rita (and most likely Iduna’s own deceased parents).
In summary, for every effort he made to heighten the sovereignty of his reign, protect his power, and obliterate the Northuldra, Runeard’s reckless actions ultimately were his undoing. He got himself killed, almost got his son killed, and put Arendelle in danger due to an architectural oversight (the dam was built on the very fjord where Arendelle sits). Furthermore, Runeard also caused his worst fears to become reality, since his son married not a princess but a Northuldran (the very race he hated and wanted to eliminate) and had two children, the oldest of whom was born with magic (the very thing Runeard detested most), who rectified his crimes and formed a true alliance with their people and the Northuldra.

Hoppin on the starbound train bc YES first of all: ma’am please just 💍 one chance that’s all i ask pl
Second of all: what was the florist like while she was alive? Did she and the prince/Vanessa know each other in any capacity, like were they tight? Or is this a(n objectively devastating but narratively hilarious) case of this poor customer service worker doing her job and serving a dude some flowers and literally got murdered over it (along with everyone she knows)? Bc if so then OOF
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She knew them in the sense that the royal family regularly ordered flowers from her (dad’s) business (she took over once he got older- he passed away before the whole ice fiasco) and she had a hand full of interactions with the Prince.
In short, she knew of both of them, and had opinions as far as politics go, but she really didn’t know either of them personally
Personality wise, she mostly spent time with her dad and working. She’s mostly cheery and calm, but she can get a bit wild if she finds someone she really meshes with.

Do you have any headcanons for what Prince Hans' relationship with his other nine brothers besides Lars and the twins is like?
Hans' relationship with his other 9 brothers is complicated for many reasons. Most of which have to do with the fact that their dad pinned all of them against eachother, mostly Hans', from a young age and how horribly it escalated as the years went by.
Most of the brothers have realized that their upbringing wasn't okay by now but don't really know how to broach it with one another. None of them really know how to broach it with Hans because he got the brunt of all the hate, anger, and resentment they felt, and it led to his actions in Frozen. His actions that got him sent to the isle and caused none of them to really get to know his children.
Which definitely causes alot of resentment and ill feelings on both sides.
Which is not helped by the fact that a couple of the brothers insist that they did nothing wrong because they just did what they were raised to.
Something Hans vehemently disagrees with because just because they didn't know what they were doing was wrong doesn't mean that it wasn't and that they shouldn't have to apologize.
After all, he had been the smallest and youngest and weakest out of them, and had been mistreated terribly. He hadn't known it was wrong but he had known and they had known that he hadn't liked it. That it made their mother upset and that it caused fights between her and their father. And shouldn't that had been enough?
Hans also kinda resents the fact that they got away with years of abusing and tormenting him along with their father and didn't get stuck on the isle when his kids who had done nothing but be born to the wrong people had. (And when he wasn't even in control of himself if you believe that theory).
I also think that ending up on the isle with the twins probably improved his relationship with them even more because in a way it showed that if they were ever in a situation like the one they had been in growing up that they wouldn't turn on him and his children again.
Also he also gets along with the brother he is closest to in age after said brother marries one of Ariel's sisters, because she makes him see sense.
Do you have any headcanons about them?

How Do You Do, Fellow Humans?
Now, Fright Knight is a very experienced ghost. He's served millennia, gone through the whole ordeal that was Pariah Dark, tolerated the Observants, and generally has a large area of competence.
But perhaps he should expand his skillset.
As he was guarding an outing of the Royal family, his Queen had inquired of his pastimes. He had answered with his duties.
"I mean, you should definitely get out some more, dude. Chill a bit. Not in the Far Frozen sense."
The Princess had agreed, saying that traveling would be quite the eye opening experience for him
His Queen assured him that the royal family could suffice without his presence "for a year or two, just make sure to visit."
So the Knight of Autumn sets out to find a mortal settlement that will work. He comes across Gotham City and its respective city spirit, Lady Gotham. She graciously invites him in, and he vows to remember her contribution. She merely gives an amused smile.
Within Gotham City, Fright Knight comes across a mortal woman controlling plant life, and even if subconsciously, follows her due to the familiarity to another ghost the Queen had "known."
She has a rendezvous with another mortal woman, and they go inside a house/haunt that radiates their love. Fright Knight stands outside of it for a week straight, attempting to deduce a way for him to meet them.
Harley, on the other hand, had just opened the door at like, 2:48 in the morning and her hyenas shoot straight out the door and around the house, barking. They jump around the legs of- a giant suit of armor? Really? Just staring at the wall, is it?
Gotham, truly, is delightful.

The Royal Consort Part 2
Danny nervously took a sip out of the coffee mug. The rich liquid, filled with surgery goodness and creamer, helped settle his nerves as he tried to think of what to say.
Across from him sat Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and a man named John Constantine. Besides Danny, Jazz, and his parents sat, though only Jazz seemed unfazed by the situation, staring back at the heroes as if daring them to start a conversation first.
Sometimes he forgot she was the most mentally stable one in the family.
The Dark Knight had said nothing to him since he was brought up to the watch tower, the white lens of his mask staring back at Danny with no hint of emotion behind them.
This contrasts Superman, who had warmly offered them coffee and pie as they were brought into the meeting room. The man of steel had even allowed them all to pick a mug from the gift shop free of charge, smiling warmly when Danny hesitantly asked for a Martian Manhunter theme.
Wonder Woman had given him a courteous bow befitting her status. She seemed eager to sit down and get the peace summit going as soon as possible. It seemed she had prepared various speeches, bills, and other essential documents Danny had yet to understand in his Government Studies class. She offered the young man a warm smile whenever his eyes nervously wandered to her.
John Constantine mainly had remained silent past the few swears under his breath. He fiddled with Danny's necklace- the Royal Consort necklace. How could he have been so stupid to wear that around his neck for so long without realizing what it was? It did explain why that particular necklace had a whole room to be displayed in.
It was in the center, on a lavish pillow, on a pure marble pillar. Surrounding it were six more miniature lockets, each on their own less extravagant pillar and pillow, with similar symbols. The smaller ones almost tempted Danny until he saw that this necklace had white and red, his favorite colors.
The others had been black and red.
He wonders now what the lockets meant and if giving one to Dani had been a mistake. He hadn't had the time to text her, seeing as he had been whisked away by the Justice League as soon as he woke up.
He was escorted out of his home before ten am with news crews tripping over themselves to get a few shots of Ecto-Royalty. They had his house surrounded, flashes and questions coming from all sides as the paparazzi struggled to be the first to get Consort Daniel Fenton to comment for them.
Danny swears Sam had been one of them, laughing silly with Tucker, who had somehow gotten a hold of a prominent news camera. The two had likely thought his secret had been outed and were trying to sneak him away while pretending to be media.
"Come on. Come on," Constantine muttered in frustration, poking a glowing finger into the center of his locket. Each time he did, a soft ding went off in Danny's head, and he fought to not react. He thinks Batman had seen his flinch the first time it happened, but he hadn't said anything about it yet, so Danny hoped he was wrong.
Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding.
Danny grimaces as the sound replays over and over again before he can't take it anymore and finally speaks up. "Could...could you not do that to my necklace?"
Constantine blinks, then hastily places his locket on the table as if it burned him. "Forgive me, your Majesty. I meant no disrespect."
"It's cool dude. You, ugh, don't have to call me that, by the way. Danny is fine."
The magic-user shakes his head. "Forgive me, your Majesty, but I could not do something so disrespectful. I can switch to Prince Danny, but never Danny. If His Majesty Phantom were to hear me make such a blunder, it could break apart any form of peace. I'm sure you know how much ghost value rules."
Danny thinks of the Yearly Treaty, Walker with his prison, The Observant's court, Clockwork's time frames, and even Far Frozen formal speech. He sighs. "Yeah, Phantom won't care, but his subjects will."
"Exactly."
"Speaking of King Phantom, would he be joining us soon?" Wonder Woman asks. Danny has a moment of panic before Jazz smoothly steps in.
"Phantom and Danny agree to not have him appear if Danny is near our parents." She says, gesturing to their horrified parents.
"What?" Mom looks close to tears, guilt making her face seem much older than Danny has ever thought possible. "Honey, is this true?"
Danny shifts in his seat. "Yes?"
"Oh Honey, why?"
"What are we going to do today, Jack?" Jazz cuts in again in a poor imitation of their mom. She deepens her voice, trying to match Dad's happy-go-lucky tune as she dramatically shakes her fist. "What we do every day, Maddie. Try to capture the ghost boy and rip him molecule by molecule!"
The other heroes make faces, but nothing compares to the devastated expressions on his parents' faces. He almost told them it was okay, that he had forgiven them, but Jazz glanced sharply in his direction and knew it was best not to say anything.
She has often said the only way he could rally heal from all the unintended trauma their parents inflected on them- not just the hunting but slight negligence- was to have them first see exactly what they had done. It would be harsh, but it would be necessary.
"Makes sense" That is all Dad says. He's been so quiet since this morning. Danny is worried about him.
"That explains why he hasn't answered the summons." Constantine sighs. Danny opens his mouth to ask, but Superman beats it to him.
"You were summoning him?"
"Attempting to." Constantine corrects. "Prince Danny's locket has a calling bacon in it. Someone pressing magic against the center alerts King Phantom that his husband wants to speak to him. It's difficult magic too. Anyone with less control or power would be blown to smithers if they attempt it. Or, in Prince Danny's case tapping his finger against it works too since the necklace is for him. "
"Would anyone with the necklace be able to call Phantom then?" Batman finally speaks up. His voice makes Danny jump in his seat. It sounds a lot....darker than he thought a human could make.
"No. The necklace would only work if Prince Danny willingly let someone have it. If someone tried to take it by force, the necklace would transport itself back to King Phantom's lair or Prince Danny's person."
Danny clears his throat. ''Phantom and I have other rules. He can only come to see me if I'm not in school or if one of his subjects is attacking Amity Park. Otherwise, he mostly stays within the Infinity Realms."
Constantine nods as if that makes perfect sense. "The strain on your body must make it difficult to keep your husband here."
Danny nods, then takes another sip.
"If you don't mind me asking. How did you meet King Phantom?" Superman asks.
"I'm....a meta. I can make my eyes glow in the dark and I can turn invisible." Danny blurts, making both his parents gasp. Jazz nods as if it was common knowledge and not something Danny made up on the spot.
Those two abilities have always been more linked to his emotions, so Danny thought if he established a fake meta gene as the cause if he was later caught doing them, no one would bat an eye. The world was watching him now, he needed to be careful. "It's nothing really impressive, but I guess the day I activated it caught his attention."
"How so?"
"Um, well I was playing in my parents' lab when my best friends dared me to go into the portal. I thought it wouldn't work, so I did, but it launched me into the zone as soon I stepped into it. Phantom was this big ice looking thing flying by when I was falling in the zone- they don't really have ground in there. Everything was floating, but I just started falling and screaming since I couldn't fly. He caught me and offered to help me back to my home. The only thing was I didn't know how to go home, which way was up or down, and I didn't know how long I was gone. We tried to fly for a while, but the Infinite Realms always change. By that time, my home portal had moved to who knew where. Phantom took me to his lair to rest, Phantom, since he thought I was a baby ghost because my eyes glowed until I accidentally cut my hand on one of his icicles and bled-"
"You allowed your human blood to fall in his lair!?" Constantine sounds horrified. Oops? Maybe, stealing one of Frost Bites' few human encounter stories wasn't the brightest thing he could have done?
Oh well, he's already so far into the story. "Yeah, he reacted the same way. I freaked and turned myself invisible when he saw my blood."
"Blimey, I knew King Phantom is a protective spirit, but to think he didn't do anything to you once he found out you are a human- a virgin human no less- in his own lair? Benevolent is too little of a word for him."
Yeah, Danny really didn't like the sound of that. Sadly Constantine didn't seem willing to continue that line of conversation, and it would be really suspicious if he asked for more information since he is supposed to be the most informed person here.
After a slight pause, he continues, trying to sound confident. "He helped me get home after a while. Once we found the entrance to Amity Park, he asked if he could come to see me again in the living world. I told him it was fine, but I didn't think he meant it for real. Sam and Tucker- ugh my best friends- said I was only gone for three minutes but I swear it was much longer."
Danny could feel his face heating up. This is so embarrassing to be talking about himself in the third person. He felt so lame.
Jazz gave him an encouraging nod when he peaks at her. At least the others were buying his story.
"The next thing I know, my town is almost overturned by ghosts because, apparently, our passing through the portal stabilized it and established it as a new permanent entrance. I told Phantom, who vowed he keep it safe for me, and yeah, he fumbled a bit in the beginning, but he did a good job. Whenever he needed to fight I had to find somewhere safe to hide, so that I could keep him here, and that's why I missed so much of school and sleep all of freshmen year. His last big fight was against the old king Pariah Dark after the monster took Amity Park into the zone. Once he won, he was crowned and he um gave me this necklace. We've been going ugh, steady since."
The room was silent until Wonder Woman smiles "A most romantic tale Prince Danny."
Ugh, it really was. His face grew even redder as Jazz snorted. "Thank you."
Feeling an intense stare, Danny looks up, only to be met with Batman's emotionless face. "The reason you and King Phantom look exactly alike is that he took your shape, didn't he?"
What.
"That's standard practice." Constantine waves his hand. "Powerful beings that need to anchor themselves to the human realm often take humanoid figures. If King Phantom saw Prince Danny and thought he was the most beautiful person he's ever seen -which is likely since there haven't been any hints of Phantom having any partner before now- he would, of course, make himself look like him. He even copied his parents' hazard suits because he likely thought that would honor them. Am I right, Prince Danny? ."
I could kiss you, English man. Danny thinks gratefully as he nods.
Batman grunts but for a second, Danny thinks he didn't buy it. He doesn't say anything else.
"Well, what about-"
Whatever Wonder Woman was going to say gets cut off by a blur flying into the room. The heroes all spring up into battle positions as the blur rushes Danny. He's about to throw himself before his sister to protect her until the blur slows down.
It's Dani. She's wearing her own necklace too. Shit.
"Are you okay!?" She gasps. "I saw them take you on the TV and came as soon as I could!"
"Who are you?" Superman demands. His clone turns to the other side of the room, hands pose in a fighting stance and the British man gasps.
"Stand down! She's a royal!." He shouts, pointing at her necklace. His blue eyes flicker between the two halfas until they widen dramatically. "Princess, I swear we have done no harm to your father."
Dani tilts her head, momently thrown. "My father?"
"You are wearing the Heir Apparent symbol. I assumed you were made from Prince Danny and King Phantom. I apologize if I am wrong."
"No need. I am made from Danny." Dani smiles, likely unaware that the magic man meant a daughter rather than the correct answer, as in clone.
"I'm a grandmother!?" Mom shouts, and his Dad bursts into tears.
The room descends into chaos.

Ooh, could we see more of Yandere Empire x Prince reader? I feel like there's so much potential there
Imagine reader, a Prince visiting to discuss the prosperity and needs of the particular section of the nation that their family rules, only for the emperor to grow infatuated by them. By the time it's all over, the Prince continues to as if they didn't catch on to Yan Empire's moves, hoping to return back without any trouble. Only to be told that if they didn't cooperate, the emperor wouldn't hesitate to slaughter his family and destroy the section of the kingdom his family ruled.
Prince reader being in an arranged marriage, only for the emperor to rearrange so that the reader would marry him.
A not so smart prince reader rejecting the emperor's advances, thinking that this would end the emperor's infatuation with him.
cw. angst, aphrodisiac, dubcon, imprisonment, sexual themes, yandere themes
It felt strange entering a land that was not your own, perhaps it was the contrast in scenery, or the culture, maybe even the regulations that were imposed. Though something in you said it was the instinct of a young zebra entering a hungry lions den. The emperor had more years in his reign, you were regarded as new to the public eye in your kingdom. though that did not stop you from pursuing tasks that would bring great opportunities to your people. this was one of them.
It was surprising that your royal family had even been accepted to enter the large land, what not for his isolated ideals that were fuelled by the prospect of war and claiming new land. Nevertheless you seized the chance without question. You were given a day to idle in the chambers gifted to you as an important guest of the Emperor. You took notice of the people, the servants, the buildings and areas that you passed through. The people of the empire seemed to prosper greatly, but there seemed to be a dreaded silence upon them. How come? The prince didn’t know. The second day arrived, and the lovely prince was continuously fixing his royal attire before the guards came to lead him to the emperor. Confidence and security was key. He could not show weakness or desperation, his people counted on him. Once the doors opened, there was the dreaded silence in the room. Across the prince, stretched to the back of the room sat a figure, covered by a curtain of linen that weren’t transparent enough to see the face of a person but enough to see the shape of them.
No one spoke a word. But my you were very determined to make an impression, clearing your throat, you introduced yourself— from your title, to the name of your kingdom and the honour you felt being in the presence of the infamous emperor. The silence followed after had dampened the confidence you once had. You attempted to continue but was cut off by a voice that resonated through the room.
“Come closer.”
To which you did the opposite. The sudden demand had you frozen in place before being slightly pushed by the guard behind you. So much for oozing confidence and security. Your legs moved on their own, stopping only a few feet away from the curtain. The figure stood up, spreading the curtain from the middle. Your wide eyes finally witnessed the famed emperor. If his face did not scream warlord, he was quite handsome. But the aura emitting from him felt thick, it was hard to formulate into words, it was as though coming face to face to a beast from another world and you knew it was feeble to fight. However, the prince that you are, stood tall and noble.
And that same beast cracked a smile but it lacked the warmth that you were accustomed to at home, this whole region lacked warmth. You were terribly homesick already. He repeated your name, bringing you back to your surroundings. His call felt as though how one would repeat an instruction they had to follow correctly. After the initial meeting, days passed, not once being called upon the emperor during that week. You weren’t sure if this was how consulting with a neighbouring country was meant to go, but you weren’t going to complain. The scenery, the room, the service, the food— new discoveries in this foreign land was enough to pass the time.
But at last, you were summoned. You gathered yourself once more before you entered the room, reciting topics to discuss in your mind as you walked through the palace. When you entered the room– there were no sight of guards, servants, or counsellors. Only him. Odd but not enough to warrant concern. You were beckoned to sit across from him, and you had almost tripped on your way over. Though you felt embarrassed, the emperor's chuckle lightened the mood. Servants had rushed in with dishes before leaving quietly. The chats were light and amicable. He inquired about your enjoyment of your stay thus far, and you said that you had definitely enjoyed your stay, for the most part.
“I am pleased to hear this. It would be troubling if you did not enjoy your new home.” He brought his glass to his mouth, a smirk curling at the edge of his lips. “But nevertheless, it wouldn’t matter to me. Just as long as you are here beside me.”
“Oh yes, I— Excuse me?” You asked confused, your brows furrowed in bewilderment and heart beating strangely fast, did you hear that right? “I don’t understand what you quite mean, esteemed emperor.” You tried to keep a steady tone, not wanting to anger the war lord of the west. But you could already feel your fingers begin to tremble, as though your body knew what was to come before you even knew.
He chuckled once more at your confusion, finding it so simple and childlike, it was adorable. A sharp contrast to the meddling lords who would attempt to snake their way through to him. “What don’t you understand? I would assume you were taught proper English as a prince?” He teased, grinning at your shocked and embarrassed expression. “This is your new home, my husband to be.” He paused before saying the last few words, to make certain that you would comprehend your new situation.
You stood up from your seat, the sounds of screeching from the chair ignored as you stared at him in disbelief, “I can’t, I-I have a family, a duty and a kingdom to rule someday, I cannot stay here.” You said through a trembling voice, “I will soon have candidates to be married to and create a famil-“
“Sit down.” The emperor’s voice cut you off, his eyes piercing your thoughts, his stare felt overwhelmingly intense. You wanted to run, you wanted to run as far as you could until you could see the gates of your kingdom that you dreamed of ruling. This was not supposed to happen, there was no mention permanent residency nor marriage. You felt defeat, you knew you could not fight against the emperor nor would you want your men to lose their lives for you. Your legs gave out, you sat back down, slumped. “Why…why me..esteemed emperor?” You hoped this was a joke, a cruel one but a joke. And if it wasn’t, maybe you could reason with him. Or at least try.
The emperor stared at you, his indifferent expression slowly falling to a relaxed and almost imitating a warm expression, but not quite. “You charmed me.” He said a matter of factly. How could have charmed him? This was your only second meeting, the last barely had any word exchange. “Yes, that’s it,” he spoke again, prompting you to look up at him, “Your face, your expressions, they reveal your inner thoughts and emotions. It’s refreshing. But there’s more to it.” He added, standing up and making his way to you, his eyes never leaving your own. And you couldn’t look away, his eyes demanded your attention and gaze.
He stood beside you, his fingers tracing your neck, lifting your chin to face him as he leaned in. “Accompany me to my chambers tonight, dear husband. You will need to understand what needs must be fulfilled before our matrimony.” He said in a silly voice, holding onto your shared eye contact a moment longer, his eyes tracing to your lips and back to your eyes before walking to the door. “Don’t keep me waiting, I am not a man of patience.”
It had felt as though your whole body experienced being strangled with every step you reluctantly took. Each moment you realised how close you were to reaching his chambers. Bile started to reach your throat, nauseousness and anxiety pooling together to make an unpleasant dump of fear filled thoughts swirling. Your mind raced sporadically. From the dinner, to the upcoming visit you dreaded. But through all of this, you felt pain. Sadness. Reality had hit you very swiftly– you may never see your family again. Your home. The gardens, your fathers office, your mothers greenhouse, the stables…it felt as though a piece that was firmly stitched to you had been cruelly ripped from you. And now you were bleeding as you walked to the person who had done this.
The guards who escorted you announced your presence, and your body ran cold when you heard his voice on the other side to enter. You tried your best to keep your body from shaking, to show strength that was a representation of your homeland. But you weren’t sure if your body stayed still as you were pushed to enter in a matter of seconds after the doors opened.
The moment you had entered, a foreign smell hit your nostrils. Invading your body and mind. It smelt…nice, calming, almost enough to relax your anxious heart. Through lidded eyes, you saw smoke, it was incense, multiple littered around the room. Enough to fill the whole room with the smell but not enough to leave you choking on the smoke. It was strange, moments after inhaling the smell, you feel as though you’re back home in your mothers arms. Such serenity a smell invokes.
“We don’t have that back home…” You muttered to yourself, earning a heartily chuckle across the room. You had only noticed the full design of the room, and where the owner of that room stood.
“What don’t you have back home, my prince?” There on the bed sat the emperor, his leg crossed over the other, watching you with amused, curious eyes. A smile that seemed innocent enough but only a fool could not sense deeper intent behind it.
“The..incense…we don’t have them. We just have candles.” Your speech had grown slow, mellowed, something that internally surprised you but you weren’t able to dwell on it for long. You couldn’t. Not with the focused gaze of the emperor across you, it was consuming, so much so it would be difficult for you to retreat to your thoughts.
He beckoned you to come, you hadn’t noticed that you were getting closer to where he sat. Your thoughts were too preoccupied with his the emperor. The way he sat with all knowing eyes, filled with an aura of might power that could challenge God himself. It filled you with envy, especially when you were at his bidding. You stood before him, closer than you would have imagined. Close enough for the emperor to reach you and pull you towards him. Your breath caught in your throat as his arms snaked around your hips. His forehead resting against your abdomen. He stayed still for what felt like eternity until his arms began to unwrap and travel down to your thighs. He turned his head, his eyes glaring into yours while he kept his head still resting over your abdomen. “Of all the women and men, you are by far the most ethereal. Perhaps, it’s because of the light environment you were born in.” He stated calmly, watching your gazed expression with a delighted expression. His large hands that bore deep scars began to slowly make their way up from your thighs. Reaching bellow your buttocks, squeezing and pinching the fat of your thighs before doing the same to your cheeks.
He moved his face from your abdomen, settling his nose to where your crotch laid, “My cock will conquer you. It will reach from here,” as he spoke, his nose began to travel back up to your abdomen, “aalll the way to here.” He stopped just inches below your belly button. Your glassy eyes that turned your vision blurry finally took in the expression of the emperor, his cheeks had a shade of red that an angry drunk would have, and his eyes pooled with lust and desire. “I’m quite excited.“ Your clouded mind was not prepared to be flipped so suddenly, your whole perception of reality and your surroundings felt slow and wonky. The only thing that your mind could process was his voice. “Strip. Slowly.” His commanding voice that felt as though were denying God. You didn’t know why you were doing this, but your body felt so hot and itchy, and you just wanted out of these clothes now! You began to clumsily fumble with your attire, your pouty lips and pink stained cheeks enticing the emperor as he watched.
He liked watching your cloudy, teary eyes furrow when struggling to get out of those cheap fabrics. The sight of your red blush covering the tip of your ears urged him to nip at them while thrusting into you like a wild man. He just knew how weak those ears were. Your whole body felt new yet familiar to him. You belonged to him. Your slutty body, your eyes, mouth, ear, nose, everything. And soon, your heart. It didn’t matter if he had to force his way. He will get his birthright. You.
He watched you as you laid, in all your glory, on top of the red silk sheets that complimented you. You couldn’t look at him, ashamed and fearful of what was going to happen. You couldn’t even wrap your mind around what was going on right now.
You could hear clothes dropping to the floor, your looked over to see him hovering over you, naked. Your head sinking further into the bed when his hands placed themselves on either side of you. His whole weight plunged you deeper onto the bed. If you weren’t feeling strangely light headed, it still would’ve been difficult to find your foothold and escape from the bed. “We are not supposed to be intimate until after our wedding ceremony, but who am I to deny my prince’s urges? It’s very difficult for me to hold back when your future husband sees your lustful face innocently begging for my cock.” He smiled warmly, similar to how one would look at their pet who begged for treats. You originally thought this man was calculating, but now you believed that as well as him being delusional. However, the more you took notice of the incense and inhaled it, it became too hard to deny what he said. Your whole body felt disorientated. You needed to prod your whole body with your fingers. You needed to wrap yourself in skin to feel grounded. You needed something to stop this frightful sensation that you weren’t human anymore.
Your breathing began to become unstable at the incessant thoughts, and your emperor took notice of it quite quickly. It would be strange if he didn’t, as he was inches from your face ever since he had gotten onto the bed. He watched over your face, taking in your expressions and the way they revealed your thoughts. It was amusing. “Shhh, little prince, just focus on me. I’ll make you bound to me and my cock.” His strange way of comforting had at the very least kept your thoughts at bay. Especially when you watched him grab your hips and pull your bottom to his face, wrapping his arms around your thighs to keep them spread. A warm, squishy texture suddenly invaded your hole. You released a surprised mewl, your eyes looking to see his own. His eyes are always on you, has been since the beginning. It left you unsettled but the unfamiliar prodding sensation in your ass left you unfocused. Your thighs shaking, in shock at the pleasure. You weren’t aware of how two men were like when intimate. Is this normal?
You were to weak to keep your lips shut, releasing moans and sighs that were like music to his ears. Before the screams of agony from men in war would excite him. Who knew a prince mewling beneath him could do much more than excite him. Feeling your hole relax, he figured since you have been lubed and stretched, it was time. He moved your hips as he pleased, already feeling bliss from the control he had over your body.
His enraged cock-head pressed against your hole, causing your thighs to quiver, and you tightened up even more firmly than before, pulsing on his shaft and gasping under your him, your hole gripping his cock as though you would never desire him to pull out again. It didn’t take long before he came in you, huge thick ropes coating your insides. It seemed to surprise him as well. But he regained his posture, slamming into your hole over and over without break. You choked on your drool, tears and snot streaming down your face. You felt unsightly and disgusting.
“Even covered in sweat, tears and snot. You look divine.” He muttered between groans, his hand wrapping around your cock cruelly, wanting to see you cry out more and become more messier than before. The emperor’s face was a testament to the total pleasure swallowing his cock. It was the look of a man who was completely lost to bliss and ecstasy. He sighed moments after, lazily rocking his cock in and out, making sure to push as much of his semen into the deepest parts of you so you would be leaking for days.
“Conquering you has been my greatest victory. And conquering you tomorrow, the day after that and the day after that, and so one will be my reward.” He bent down, licking up your snot before giving a peck to the tip of your nose. He did the same with your tear stained cheeks, licking up from your cheeks to your eyes, giving each one a peck.
