I’ve decided that Damian Wayne is, in fact, a Disney princess. If I had to pick one specifically, he’s Rapunzel.

Reason #1- he has the whole “mother knows best” thing going on, we all know Talia and Ra’s were (at best) incredibly controlling.

Reason #2- similar to #1, his mother essentially locked him away from his family for several years.

Reason #3- his darling pets. We have bat-cow, Titus, Alfred the cat, and his love for animals in general.

Reason #4- his tendency to be (for lack of a better term) “not like other girls”. Logically, I know this stems from trauma and a background of assassin training, but it manifests as a superiority complex and weird habits that most people don’t have.

Reason #5- again, similar to 1&2, and a trait he shares with Rapunzel, he does not realize what unconditional love is until he leaves his abuser/s and he joins the batfamily.

Reason #6- he is a skilled artist (Rapunzel paints), and he finds relief from life’s monotony and he enjoys creating something rather than just destroying it.

Reason #7- he has a signature weapon. Like Rapunzel’s frying pan, I feel Damian’s katana is relatively famous, and an important aspect of his personality and character design.

Reason #8- despite his harmful upbringing he hesitates to leave and accept his new family because the league is all he’s ever known but ones he leaves he refuses to go back.

I love Damian and I think he deserves more recognition. If you think of any more connections I would love to hear them.

🌸🌼 One of my favorite moments from “Once Upon A Studio” is when Mickey sees Clarabelle Cow under Kaa’s hypnotic stare. As he tries to stop the snake, Rapunzel assures Mickey she’s got it under control. With her trusty frying pan, Rapunzel hits Kaa off-camera, saving Clarabelle in the process. 🐍

Behold! A Rapunzel doll with actual long hair!

At first it was a little challenge with myself; I found some 1,80 meter (6 feet) long hair extenstion, aannnnnnd I quickly regreted it! I had to CONSTANTLY untangle this mess as I glued it to her head. Also, I will NEVER undo that braid! I had to use both of my hands AND my freaking foot to make it!

ANYWAY, I decided to not make the purple dress from the movie, and instead I mixed Claire Keane’s original concept for the movie, a bit of Tangled: The Series aesthetic and my own concept to design her outfit. I just love the green dress! And it goes so well with her eyes color!

Also, ✨ Freckles ✨

For her body, I used a cheap Rapunzel doll head that I repainted and a SnapStar body (their heads are ugly AF but the body is really interesting and articulated).

I’m really happy I got to finish her because that hair buisness was REALLY exhausting!

Reverse-Reverse! #1: "Tangled"

Y'all, I LOVE the movie "Tangled". I mean, Disney is the best. Who wouldn't love a movie about an old lady kidnapping a child and gaslighting her? And then, one day an older man breaks into this teenager's home and takes her to a tavern filled with old murderers and thugs, who dance with her and touch her hair.

Later on, when Eugene's trying to be all sweet and better, he gets knocked out and shipped to jail to be hanged, while Rapunzel is chased after by two men. The men try to put a bag over her head and kidnap her, so they can sell her off. Seriously, human trafficking!

Then Mother Gothel goes medieval and puts some heavy-duty CHAINS and cuffs on Rapunzel, which she was just storing in the back room in case of emergency. And we can't forget about the cloth around Rapunzel's mouth.

The mother who knows best attempts to murder her daughter's bf of less than 48 hours. All stabby, and chaining him up for good measure.

And honestly, the worst part, was when Mother Gothel kicked Pascal. Like seriously, animal cruelty. At least he gets revenge when he pretty much murders her by making her trip and fall off the 40' tower.
