how do you think loop feels? seeing siffrin get to be happy in that way. over and over. and know that they never had that option. how could they! things were different. and then the fighter stops doing it. he did it for a while and then he stops. and no one but you and he know.

ok and what if Mariana comes back and Slime shows him 'Juanaflippa'. what if Mariana knows/suspects it isn't actually Flippa but Slime doesn't believe him. What if this drives them even further apart.

or what if Mariana comes back and Slime doesn't tell him at all. Because 'Juanaflippa' asked him to keep it a secret. And then Mariana maybe finds out eventually, and is furious with his (ex?) husband about keeping this secret- their daughter- away from him.

or what if Mariana comes back and finds 'Juanaflippa' himself separately, and she also tells him to keep it a secret. That way he and Slime don't talk to each other, continuing to keep their distance and not able to discover or realize that this little cracked egg maybe isn't really their Flippa.

Or maybe Slime, with or without Mariana, does eventually suspect that this may not be his actual Flippa. The writing is strange, she called him 'papa' not 'dad', and she isn't backflipping as much- if at all. But he doesn't care. He has her back, and yes she may be cracked and talk and act differently- but it's Flippa. Her name tag says Juanaflippa. She has the same glasses, and she came back from the dead, she's bound to have trauma from that- it was probably scary! Everything is okay now because she's here and Slime has his daughter back, and he loves her no matter what, no matter how different she may be now.

And he'll do anything for her to stay.
