re: teleporting, asking for a friend, who should get merc'd first
It's always going to be a rotating pick for my number one guillotine spot (because there are just too many living sacks of human shit out there), but I think today I'll pick:
The warmongering, earth-reaping, living ass-pustule Erik Prince, founder of one of the most notorious private military companies, called Blackwater.
Leaving aside his involvement with Betsy DeVos, his sister and former head of Trump's Department of Education, the tally of war crimes, genocides, and treasons that his Blackwater is responsible for rivals the worst terrorist groups of modern warfare.
Because Blackwater is thoroughly a fascist terrorist group.
They were a major proponent and fire-fueler for the Iraq War, continually using their government contracted money to fund insurgent groups, spread anti-muslim rhetoric, and continue the lie that Iraq possessed nuclear capabilities.
The worst of it though?
The Nisour Square Massacre.
I recommend reading about this on the Human Rights Watch website. It's too fucking vile for me to type out.
Yeah, that motherfucker should get the worst of the worst done to him. I really, truly hope hell exists, just because this traitor murderer belongs in the hottest, spikiest of all the lowest pits.

Why can’t my educated American friends
spell if their life depended on it? My educated American Friend:
“it helps with chlostraphobia”
Another one: “I booked it threw an agency”
and so on. Why the fuck I had to learn spelling or I wouldn’t pass my English course exam? Why I have to distinguish between “your” and “you’re” while they can’t ?
Why are immigrants yelled at “speak English” by semi-literate people?
I’m getting really pissed off now 😡😡😡
Edited to add: my Polish friends informed me that it’s happening in Poland as well, together with teachers leaving teaching in droves. Important, although “not obligatory” subject in contemporary Polish schools? Religion, Christian, Catholic brand. Parents complain that the “non-obligatory” subject is scheduled between obligatory ones, not at the beginning or end of classes, as requested.
Polish Minister of Education and Science Przemyslaw Czarnek does not see any problem with the teachers leaving. Recently he developed a problem of his own: “The court wants to lift Przemysław Czarnek’s immunity. The Minister of Education and Science in the United Right government is to face criminal charges for defamation of non-heteronormative people in one of TVP’s programs. – Let’s stop listening to this idiocy about human rights or equality. These people are not equal to normal people – Czarnek said about LGBTQ+ people in 2020 at TVP Info.”
He’s as qualified to hold the post as was Betsy DeVos.
Dumbing down and indoctrination into bigotry seems to be universal.

I’m doing something I never thought I could stomach, entering the private sector.
I am a full supporter of public education. I see it as a god given right to all, and it should be a fucking given for any nation that wants to call themselves “free.”
But I’m so burnt out y’all. The public system is broken, its infrastructure (both metaphorically and literally) is cracking under the weight of the mistakes unqualified leaders have made over the past 3 decades. And when I say ‘leaders,’ don’t just think of head honchos like Betsy fucking DeVos or Miguel Cardona or the legislators or the president.
At the state level with regressive governors, at the city level with money grubbing school boards, and even corrupt, egotistical principals in the schools themselves. Even teachers leading their own classroom are a hit or miss, and many of us play into this fucked up system whether we want to admit it or not.
These mistakes roll down the sides of the pyramid structure and make everyone below them suffer. This year, shitty staffing and poor decision making had me doing the work of three people every single day. The leaders above me could have made it better but they didn’t. They let me suffer. I’ve been assaulted and sent to the ER on more than one occasion, and my pleas for more structure and support were met with implied accusations that I’m a ‘hysterical woman.’ Eventually I gave up actual teaching so I could ensure I got my kids everything else they needed; diaper changes, meals, g-tube feeding, getting out of their wheelchairs, everything they’re entitled to as human beings. And on times where I couldn’t get them what they needed, they went without. On multiple occasions. And because those were the decisions I made as a classroom leader, good, bad, or too much gray area to decide, my students’ education suffered.
I threw my application out into the world, at almost any job with the word “disability” in their description. In June, a recruiter from a private school system offered me an interview. I nailed it.
The school is designed for students with autism and learning disabilities that weren’t succeeding back in the public school system. It has no religious or social class affiliation, which for me, is good. They follow all the same legislation and procedures that public schools need to when it comes to disabled students’ rights and education. The salary is competitive, the benefits are there, and the sign on bonus is...big, to say the least.
It may be better and it may be worse. But the thought of going back into the old classroom makes me feel...lifeless. Like I’m trapped in a loop. I wouldn’t even call it fear or dread. More like I’m just submitting myself to a terrible fate without even trying to fight back. Like learned helplessness.
I want to try. I want to at least try to make a better life for myself. Like I said, it could be a thousand times worse, but I’m strong and capable, with good morals and work ethic. I think I’ll take the offer.

I know we value free speech in America and it’s actually one of the best things about this country but frankly I’m sickened by the fact that Amazon chooses to feature books by stooges and under qualified, over privileged idiots like Betsy DeVos on their daily deal pages.
Why do people like her get the extra exposure when all it does is further expose impressionable, gullible adults with voting power to dangerous ideas that harm people far beyond their limited little life bubbles?
Fuck that bitch.

I think it's a combination of things:
-I think the fact that the season was so ridiculous in general was a factor, from how many times there were no eliminations and how many times there was a twist or a shift, and so just narratively it was chaotic.
-I think that many of the queens were Personalities but really struggled to translate that into performances was another factor.
-I think that this was not really the season for acting tbh - the 60s girl groups musical performance was not good at all to me tbh, and much of the other ones I don't actually remember much about.
-Across the board it was either potentially good ideas poorly executed or just not great ideas executed accordingly. Not many of the queens seemed like they even knew a whole lot about their chosen impression, or were too flat, or both (Angeria as Tammie Brown, Bosco as Gwyneth Paltrow, etc.)? And so many missed opportunities (especially with Jasmine's Betsy DeVos)! How the fuck does Daya Betty not bite a fucking bat head off when you're doing Ozzy Osbourne?!
William Shakespeare is another one, similar to Trinity's Satan, that I dislike because there's not really a distinctive personality or trait you could go with and so it's lazy and not really that creative to me.

The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America: A War on Education, Reason, and Our Future
Tumblr media
Alright, let's dive into this cesspool of ideological warfare that's corrupting the very foundations of our educational system. I'm sick and tired of witnessing far-right ideologues and religious fundamentalists deliberately gutting public education to perpetuate ignorance. They're not just slashing budgets; they're amputating the future of our society.
Why does this happen? Because a docile, uneducated populace is easier to manipulate. An ignorant electorate is a fertile ground for demagoguery and divisive politics. These groups bank on the fact that if you've been raised to distrust science and reason, you're far more likely to lap up their brand of ideological Kool-Aid.
Let's talk about Betsy DeVos, shall we? The poster child of this movement—a billionaire with zero experience in public education—served as the U.S. Secretary of Education and wreaked havoc on the system. The gall of promoting "school choice" while bleeding public schools dry. It's like offering someone the choice between a glass of water and a glass of arsenic.
And let's not forget the insidious rise of charter schools, many of which are just glorified religious or ideological indoctrination camps. They're using taxpayer money to teach kids that the Earth is 6,000 years old or that climate change is a liberal hoax. Great, now we're funding the dumbing down of America.
But let's not give a free pass to the ineffectual liberals and moderates who let this happen. Their paralysis, their aversion to conflict, is an enabler. They treat politics like it's a fucking dinner party where you shouldn't bring up religion or politics. Well, guess what? The house is on fire, and it's time to break some social norms.
Don't even get me started on the NRA's stranglehold on our politicians. Every school shooting just reinforces the toxic narrative of the far-right—pushing for more armed guards, metal detectors, and surveillance in schools rather than addressing the root problem: easy access to firearms. They play the fear card so well that parents would rather homeschool their kids than send them to what should be safe spaces for learning.
You want a "culture war"? Fine, let's have one. But know this, the battleground is our children's minds. And as long as we allow charlatans and ideologues to dictate the terms, we're not just losing battles; we're forfeiting the future.
Enough is enough. Time to put a boot down and kick some ideological ass for the sake of the next generation. If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitating problem, and I've got zero time for that nonsense.

Former Education Secretary Betsy DeVos condemned President Biden for his latest plan to cancel student loans, The Hill reports. Said DeVos: “What President Biden is trying to do is just a blatant vote buy. The Supreme Court has ruled it’s illegal. He can’t just with a stroke of the pen wipe away over half a trillion dollars in student loan debt.” She added: “It’s just transferring it to all those who didn’t take out student loans or those who faithfully made payments. It’s patently unfair. It’s patently illegal. The Supreme Court has ruled on that.”
Fuck this rich ass cunt!

My best friend’s dog growled at Betsy Devos today.
For the second time.
Betsy Devos tried to pet a socialized, well behaved dog on the street and for the second time that dog, with no history of behavioral issues, growled at her.
Don’t trust a person a dog doesn’t trust.
Dogs always know. Dogs always fucking know.
