The hardest part was definitely the reconciliation at the end of chapter six and throughout chapter seven. I wanted them to come back together in a way that didn't just... sweep what happened between them under the rug and kinda pretend that "oh yay things are fine now!" I wanted to show that they still had a lot of work to do, but that they were going to do it together because they loved each other. they wanted to make it work!
