pretty sure that if me and one of my best friends sat outside on a windy full moon night where the temperature isnt exactly hot or cold but perfectly in-between, staring up at the clouds and stars and feeling the wind blow against our face, and just hanged out and talked for a few hours at least half of my issues would go away

I know the consequences would be absolutely disastrous, but imagine if we shut all the power off at night, like once a month. Imagine the stars we could see

A lament for the birth of lampposts.
Pixel skin stretched tight in faux midnight. A thousand miniscule grey tone stars, and where digital words print onto digital page spring dazzling galaxies of red, green, and blue. We severed the relationship our forebears brokered, long before they even donned limbs and scrambled ashore. Edison and his ilk, in the name of progress, of liberty raised eternal sconces in the pitch. They heralded the new incessant micro-solar palinopsia as watchmen against the tyranny of the night. Such men did not understand Nott’s swirling sombre gifts. Men like Edison still do not, reaching as they might into the oblivion beyond our world while being the very cleavers cutting the earth from the sky. We chose to erect lighthouses three to ever street corner, so that we could bathe in eternal mid-day and in doing forsook the stars, replacing them instead with a steady off-black grey, an endless unplugged computer monitor.

I miss the stars in the outback where I used to live. There are no stars in the city.

I'd like to be more informed on changing local infrastructure, especially regarding pedestrian safety and tree law, but I don't know where to start.
The crosswalks in this city are absurdly ill-planned death traps. Three houses in the same block within the same year got their roofs caved in by old, overgrown trees.
I'm pretty sure these are like. The ur-example of efforts an individual could partake in to make the world just the tiniest bit better. At the same time, I feel these are issues worth being educated on first

Hey guys, what if Crowley was stuck on Earth for thousands of years and but he couldn't properly see the stars he loves so much. And then the humans finally started getting really intrigued by the night sky and started building big telescopes and things to see the stars properly. And that made him so so happy, because someone finally appreciated his work and he felt closer to it again. And then the humans started to use more and more unnecessary light around their homes so they could see after the sun had set. And then he could see the sky get brighter and brighter at night and suddenly the stars he loved so much began to slowly disappear. Started to pull away from him again, until he was left with a small fraction of them. And now he looks up at the night sky on a cloudless night and a sudden wave of sadness washes over him because this thing that he loved so dearly was stolen from him twice. What then?
(And what if he looks up at the night sky and is reminded of the fact that the humans that brought Aziraphale closer to him ended up being one of the things that also took him away from him. That the humans that both of them loved so much that they were willing to go up against Heaven and Hell ended up separating them.)
