In mockingjay, katniss places one of president snows white roses on the table in the scene where they're discussing what to do with capitol citizens, and immediately before she proposes a hunger games with capitol children, president coin says, "So, an alternative has been placed on the table." Indicating that the new proposition on the table, is the same as the old.
The Malevolent Christmas special has become my top favorite thing, especially at the end. You bet your ass I'll be relistening to it multiple times and relishing at its seamless transformation between horror and comedy
I love you Kiryu, I love you Akiyama, I love you Saejima, I love you Majima, I love you Shinada, I love you Haruka, I love you story about people becoming better through the relationships they forge, I love you display of both the joys and sorrows of life and delightful display of the human heart, I love you Nugget, I love you zany mini-games, I love you narrative about the strength we give each other and how those bonds change us, I love you Yakuza video game series
I'm sorry but Peter Vincent (from the original Fright night movies, didn't watch the remakes yet) is the only believable vampire hunter character in any supernatural themed movie. Ohh what? You mean to tell him vampires do exist? Nah-ah! Not possible! What? You have proof? Oh, okay, he'll pack his stuff up, get in his car and drive off as fast as possible. But oh wait! He can't leave his fellow humans to face those terrors alone! So what does he do? He goes back, he's scared shitless but he goes back and faces those terrible creatures and saves the fucking day! What a fucking remarcable scaredy cat!
hey yeah this episode? next time anyone has anything negative to say about akk i’m just going to hold this episode up. this is why akk acts the way he does. this is why he thinks the school is his responsibility. this is why he’s so willing to burn the school and keep the curse alive to keep people in control. and at least when he’s the one doing it, he can control it. this is what happens when he’s not in control.
i’m ready to start fighting people to defend this boy (mostly chadok but give me anyone, i’ll misplace my anger)
One of my favorite things in the Season 2 OP & Season 3 OP of Tokyo Revengers is the TIMING of the OP:
In Season 2 at the scene with Takemichi still as a young kid:
ヒーローぶって笑っていた
あなたの両頬を 拭うまで止まらない
Hīrō butte waratte ita anata no ryōhō o nuguu made tomaranai
I was laughing like a hero I won't stop until I wipe both of your cheeks
He's just a kid, he doesn't know, he just wants to be a hero.
Then here comes the Season 3 OP
ヒーローぶって笑っていた
あなたの絶望を 抱き締めるまで負けない
Hīrō butte waratte ita anata no zetsubō o dakishimeru made makenai
I was laughing like a hero I won't give up until I embrace your despair
where he BECOMES A HERO AT THE SAME TIME AS THE SONG!!
They totally did this on purpose and it makes me love the animation so much more!!
I just love how they use the first half of the song for Season 2 then use the 2nd half for Season 3, both the same song, yet telling different stories.
Can we just talk about the fact that Brasidas never even pulls his knife during that warehouse entrance? Homeboy just comes in completely unarmed, riding on psychology and sheer audacity.
