I'm so fucking glad honestly. We have been of the opinion that it should be for fucking YEARS cause we used to be SEVERELY bad and got severely deep into it that basically drove us to one of our lowest points and its such a fucking huge issue that needs its own treatment plans and I'm SO glad there is actual proper research apparently going on the past few years to validate diagnostic measures and symptoms and crap and people are actually proposing it more seriously and genuinely than back when we struggled with it.

Like largely we had to fucking self treat ourselves with some aid from a therapist using like CBT stuff but like jesus christ that was a horrible fucking thing to try to figure out for it to be "not a real disorder". We are pretty much entirely recovered from any of the problematic aspects of MADD and are left with just 1) how intense and detailed the story writing can be and how I sometimes get short term completely blocked out of doing most things if I get hit with inspiration (which is much harder than before) and 2) risks of relapses when very stressed / dealing with trauma which our system has SET PROTOCOLS for but JESUS christ this made my day.
