I keep seeing a lot of “modern au” Edward ideas where people completely erase his disability by replacing his prosthetics with tattoos, so here’s a new headcanon I have:

Modern Au Edward would slap stickers on his prosthetics. I mean like little skulls or gargoyle stickers he bought off red bubble or something, and you know he stuck em on there good. Winry definitely yells at him every time she notices he’s slapped another one on there.

I do also think Ed would have tattoos, but replacing BOTH of his prosthetics with tattoos just erases his disability

Ling is immune to several types of poison, and has knowingly eaten poison that he's immune to multiple times just to mess with the people trying to assassinate him

In a modern au Alphonse would love playing Minecraft. He has a beautiful, big, and well made house that he spent years perfecting. He also has multiple of all the tameable animals in the game, and all of them have names, even if he doesn't have a name tag for it. Ed doesnt play as much as him, but Al made him a room in his house, and gives him a ton of items

I think it would be hilarious if when Ed and Al joined team Mustang they just assumed Roy and Riza were married and like one day much to their confusion and sadness they find out they're not and the rest of Team Mustang has to be like we don't really get it either

Alphonse: Hey, what's Leiutenant Hawkeye's last name

Falman: What do you mean? It's Hawkeye. Riza Hawkeye.

Alphonse: What

Falman: H-A-W-K-E-Y-E, R-I-Z-A

Edward: Wait, I thought that was her nickname since she's the top sniper, "The Hawk's eye"

Fuery: Yeah, but her last name is also coincidently "Hawkeye."

Havoc: Honestly, that's probably where the name came from. The officials at the military academy aren't that creative.

Rebecca, with dramatic flare: Or maybe it was her destiny

Alphonse: So, is that why she kept her last name?

Havoc: What do you mean?

Edward: Why she didn't take the colonel bastard's last name?

my headcanon is that at some point Mustang's entire line of command thinks that the Colonel and Lieutenant Hawkeye must have something going on except Edward, who's always ready to deny everything because he's strongly convinced that 1) it's just unfounded gossip and everyone must be insane for thinking it's true, 2) lieutenant Hawkeye deserves way better than that bastard, 3) come on, the lieutenant would never date someone like him, and 4) Mustang doesn't deserve anything in general, let alone a woman like her

so when he finds out they're actually in a relationship he starts freaking out (and Alphonse is like ,, told you so), he goes through the 5 stages of grief and actively tries to convince Riza to dump Mustang everytime he sees her (until Alphonse drags him away)

(they gotta thank Edward if the rumors died down tho)

Someone needs to say something about Ed having a scar from literally being impaled no one talks about it and I think about it all the timeeeee. Like I think about post ending, about the scar circling his shoulder and everyone else is totally aware of it but I'm always thinking about how Ed 100% has a scar from yknow being impaled and almost dying like he was recovering for 6 months theres no way he doesn't have a scar.

Headcanon that one of the first things Edward did once he and Al had recovered enough and gone home was go with him to adopt a cat.

Alphonse ended up leaving with two cats, because they were siblings and he couldn’t bear to separate them.
