 …in danger.

Louis knew it was bad idea. He never should’ve let it get this far.

His crush on Harry grows every day. Which is a disaster because Harry has his pick of anyone at school. With his dimples and his slow cadence and the unruly curls, never mind his charm. He has all the girls and (if Louis is anything to go by) most of the boys in his grade wrapped around his finger. 

And Louis’ just... Louis. Unfortunately, Harry knows that too because they have the same geography class and Harry had a front row seat to the teacher announcing to the class that Louis “would never amount to anything.” Louis had only been goofing off to impress Harry. It backfired spectacularly. 

Louis knows that he’s standing on this precipice of emotion, that his heart is liable to be shattered in a million pieces, that he’ll never recover if Harry finds out that Louis likes him. It’s dangerous, this tightrope walk Louis’ maintaining--he wants to be a good friend to Harry, but he also wants so much more with Harry. 

Throwing a belated birthday party for Harry since he was out of town on the actual weekend of his birthday was a bad idea. Suggesting they play seven minutes in heaven was a bad idea. Not rigging the game--somehow--before he was chosen was a bad idea. 

And now he’s trapped in a very stuffy closet with the boy of his dreams and as he knows, absolutely no sense of self preservation. 

His heart pounds dangerously again. A kiss in this situation could be laughed off as him following the rules for once. He’ll give it a go, they’ll joke about it, and by tomorrow morning Harry will have forgotten all about it.

“So,” Harry chuckles. And he sounds nervous, like he knows Louis likes him and he knows Louis’ going to want to try something in Niall’s basement game closet.

Louis chuckles right back. He balls his fists and tries very hard to stay on his side of closet.

“It’ll be funny, right?” Harry says, a step closer than he needs to be. “It’ll be funny if we go out there and say we’ve been making out the whole time.”

Louis’ chuckle becomes a high-pitched manic cackle. “Yeah, it’d be a riot.”

Harry’s breath is hot on Louis’ cheek and Louis’ whole stomach contracts when Harry puts his hands on hands on Louis’ hips. 

“I’m a terrible liar.”

“The worst.”

“Then is it okay if I...” Harry trails off and his face is so close to Louis, if Louis moves at all their noses will bump. 

Louis nods and there’s a jolt of electricity that threatens to kick his heart into overdrive when their noses brush together. 

There’s exactly zero chance Louis’ heart will survive the night intact.  

He closes the distance.

I don’t know that it’s a side blog so much as a part of her blog’s navigation, but it mostly links to redbubble and soc6 accounts since most don’t have patreons. If the anon is open to more than just patreon, then there’s loads of shops and artists open for commissions as well as Kofi pages for other content creators as well we can recommend! I just didn’t think that’s what they were asking for since they specifically named patreon.

I know you sent this on Friday, but between driving to get The Boy, then spending Saturday with him, before having to leave at noonish yesterday to drive to SC, I hadn’t really touched my laptop in a few days - not even to write. 

However, I appreciate your patience, and I know exactly what you’re looking for (I’m also pretty sure you’re the only person interested in this besides me)

SO without further ado, and before I crawl into bed for some sleep, since I’m on nights again this week - your requested snippet, love. 

“Is she really yours, then, Dr. Tomlinson?”

“She is. I adopted her years ago and made arrangements to board her until I finished veterinary training.” Louis settled a blanket over Molly’s back, then exited and latched the stall door. “I’ve known her since I was a wee lad.”

They walked to the next stall, Katie pausing to fix him with a curious stare.

“But… your accent? Aren’t you from England? How…”

“I am, but life’s funny like that. Stick around a bit and you’ll hear the story eventually.Suffice to say, she’s a special girl, and also the reason why I’ve made the Outer Banks my new home.” A soft smile teased his lips, the wisp of a cherished memory flitted across his mind. He cleared his throat, paused to pick up another clipboard, and waved it toward the other stalls.  Now, let’s check that injury to Artemis’ fetlock. He’s almost ready to be released.”

They moved through the rest of the morning rounds companionably, caring for the few injured horses in residence at the Conservation and making arrangements for the transport to return Artemis back to his Ocrakoke herd. They parted ways at the stable doors, Katie off to a training session, and Louis paused to check on Molly once more before retreating to the sanctuary of his office.

No hill, but I do have mountain!

They approached the large main building of the keep, and Harry couldn’t help but compare it to his own. The Sutherland keep, Dun Beinn Ghlas, was so named because it was carved into the side of a mountain. The strategist in Harry admired that it only had to be protected from three sides, as it would be almost impossible to approach it from above.

5) If you had to choose a favourite out of all of your multi-chaptered stories, which would it be and why?

Hmm, that’s a tough question! I think, for my Larry fic, my fav (which is also my most widely read, I think) would be Feels Like Coming Home. I think, in many ways, it’s one of my most personal fic, and it’s certainly one that I worked so, so hard on and it’s a story that means a lot to me.

The last thing Harry Styles expects when he's hanging out at the Someday Cafe in Somerville one rainy October day is for his ex, Louis Tomlinson to walk through the door, but that's exactly what happens. After a spectacularly ugly break-up three years prior, Harry hasn't heard one word from Louis, and he's moved on. Gotten over him. But having Louis back in his life, not to mention working at the restaurant where he's a chef, isn't easy, and the feelings that Harry thought he'd left turn out to be not so easily forgotten.

This is a story about love and the power of forgiveness, and how the hard choices we make define us, and change our lives.

I think this was one of the first pieces I wrote that is long, and that I worked and reworked. It’s a story that means a LOT to me.

For Drarry, I’d have to say, it’s (We’ll Call This Fixer-Upper) Home. This is another fix that means a lot to me. I think because it’s a story about healing and creating yourself after trauma (and Draco in leather trousers, I mean). It’s another story that I worked on a lot, and is really personal. 

Draco Malfoy hasn’t set foot on English soil in ten years. After the war, he fled to America, where he found himself in a community, and healed himself through following his heart into music. He’s now the lead singer and songwriter for an internationally known band, who have come back to headline the Wiltshire Music Festival. But as Draco is about to learn, his past isn’t as far away as he might have believed, and his future may hold more than he ever could have dreamed.

6) If you had to delete one of your stories and never speak of it again, which would it be and why?

Ha, probably 90 Day Return (not linking it sorry!!) - it was my first story, it’s really rough and needs to be rewritten and really fully fleshed out. You can see my impatience in it!!

I’d also really like to redo and expand Cattle Call because it’s just one little part of a bigger thing (and I wrote it for @srslycris who deserves a much better story than that!!).

So I guess I don’t want to never speak of them again, I want to do them justice!

HELLO YES WELL so it’s based somewhat loosely on the mv for Into You by Ariana Grande (so loosely I might as well just say inspired cos it skewed off track a bit)

Louis is in a bit of a toxic relationship with this guy who is basically a youtube celebrity and he accompanies him to an event where he meets Harry who is assigned to assist the boyf... Louis befriends Harry and things get a bit... muddled and sticky, esp when the boyf goes on trips and doesn’t take Louis.
