You can, I'm happy to say you're my first request and I like Carol a lot. 👀 Secret Agent doo-doo-de-doo Secret Agent! (/sung at "inspector gadget" tempo)

Spoilers for Chapter 6 (Ignihyde Story) - but the title will be in red for anyone who wants to avoid that last part!

Prelude - This is along the line that Teruki is in the place of MC of this universe, no other OC's except Carol and characters in your direct lore exist, and Night Raven operates like it does canonically. I love the Fandorm, BTW, I loved Monsters Inc!

Overall or TL:DR ―

Teruki likes her! He'd be a bit snooping but with what's happening in the story, that distracts him. Below is an "overview" of how a chapter would go, but not a lot of flavor text...

Chapter 0 ―

At first, meeting each other is quite hazardous as it's after Grim had set the place ablaze and the students were all sectioning off to leave. Staying behind with Crowley is basically a bitter discussion as Teruki is an adult in a Freshman wave of students, he has no magic, and the cat is discussed at length until Carol slinks into the stage.

Teruki wanted to laugh as the Dark Mirror confirms there are two non-magic users in the school, but Teruki is coming off pain medication, so would prefer to sit down in the library.

Finds it funny they're both at two strikes: one student is an adult with no magic, and one student is feminine and has no magic. He will quote them both as, "on thin ice with Crowley" because of this.

Refuses to call himself a student, especially after he was sharing 50/50 a student seat with Grim and was forced into the first year. Tries not to bring up he's older than Carol, but is the kouhai. Oldest sibling issues.

Will share with her any memories he doesn't think are important, might let slip some private info but he doesn't know that. For the first 3 chapters, he almost has amnesia with only the basics of his childhood and memory of arriving here. Important later.

Attempts to help in the library with his one arm, and is a bit slower paced. If Carol is willing to help with a pile of books, he'll be appreciative!

Mostly, Teruki is focused on tasks about ghosts killing them, the house pet from hell that is Grim, jackass freshman, and a priceless magical chandelier. He doesn't see Carol much during the prologue, but does remember she's there.

If Carol is okay with it, Teruki would like to be on equal footing with her. Would not prefer either of them to be a Dorm Leader, and would like this to be... diplomatic. Doesn't elaborate further until...

Chapter 1 ―

Thinks that seeing the plot of Alice in Wonderland in a foggy dream could only be a dream, and doesn't think to tell anyone.

Teruki is probably the one to open the door for Ace, and is generally sympathetic even after what Ace had pulled (Teruki is weak on younger teens, and the collar is very foreign and strange). I see Teruki and Carol both staring at Ace in a stupor... and then Teruki turns against him and gently scolds him to apologize.

Is not going out of his way to really talk to anyone, as he's far more interested in either going home or getting through this as friendless as possible. Against his own wishes, he actually likes Carol and finds the sassy cat as a... bonus! It's still strained, because their strangers, and Chapter 1 is very fast paced...

Is caught up with Riddle's rule in Heartslybul and even though the two aren't close at the time, he does check in to Carol in the library from time to time. But after the tart making fiasco to help Ace, Teruki might ask for Carol to assist the group in carrying it in (because of his broken arm, he could not carry it and the group didn't want Ace or Deuce's bad luck to eat/crush it).

Carol gets roped into the Overblot of Chapter 1 because of Teruki and Teruki tries his best to get them weapons... but, he's unable to fight. He's going to be hung up about that as well. Anything Carol can do to help will have Teruki grateful stuck around. Is also setback a couple weeks for his cast, as he landed on his arm and cracked it. Might need Carol to escort him to the buses office.

Chapter 2 ―

The dream this time brings about deja vu to them, but really, he thinks nothing about the plot as it had a talking cast of animals. In a dream, he doesn't connect that Grim (who's real) is also a talking animal...

Most of this chapter is them being separate so the two plots that come together are very much like a Superhero Movie plot. Or at least that's how Deuce phrases it after. Teruki and Grim, under Crowley's thumb, take witness statements as Carol takes on the narrowing down the culprit from a Dorm seemingly unaffected, Diasomnia.

Got chased around by the Leech's with the Heartslybul crew, and might have dragged in Carol and Lilia by accident as the Tweels chased "the goody-goody" dorm students. After seeing Lilia fly once, Teruki wonders why he didn't fly away. Lilia flew away instead of answering him in irony.

Teruki, a child of privilege himself and from a very large family, tries to be sympathetic to Leona (as a baseline) even if Carol laughs at him a little bit. Won't stop Carol or Grim laughing at him, though.

Ace, Deuce, Grim, and Teruki recruit Jack into the Heartslybul team and Carol brings Diasomnia, and is very relieved that Carol was also doing something in the back because this was a mess. Is a part of the group that makes up the preliminary Spelldrive crew, and asks Carol to be a part of their team.

Is knocked out like in canon, and does not see Malleus in the crowd or Spelldrive tournament. Absolutely babies Cheka, and he regrets it as he can never live it down. If Carol joins in, he's double dead!

Chapter 3 ―

This is the bonding chapter, as they need it for Book 4...

Okay... now, the dreams are starting to become too specific and he might ask Carol, vaguely, if she has strange dreams about people and places she's never been. Carol, who has something guiding her and her own secret mission, answers vaguely back. Both are shifty at breakfast.

Is the one who witnessed his friends failing Azul's conditions first hand, and recruits Carol and Jack to follow them and the other students into the Lounge. Of course, the three that were captured in the scam were scolded thoroughly by the two adults and Jack.

Carol sits on Teruki's right and Jack on his left during the meeting with Azul: Teruki weighs his options and Azul just needs one of them to sign... Teruki signs it, and places the pen down rather harshly. If Carol feels bad about anything leading to their temporary homelessness, Teruki will reassure her it's his name on the scroll. It was him in the end.

Because of Carol preferring to spend her time with Diasomnia during this chapter, especially after they lose their temporary home because of Teruki's signature, Teruki feels very responsible and will be far more harsh to Ashengrotto in the plan, and Leona claps him on the back for how vindictive he can be.

He keeps Carol in the loop during class, and sort of changes the plan if Carol has any good points. Is mostly quiet around the Tweels (angry, and stewing) until they beat them in battle and help them with Azul. Is far more sympathetic towards them afterwards and having the private talk with Azul and Carol in the museum really helps mellow him out.

Jade also seems to like how vindictive and how harsh he can be, post Overblot, as he enjoys a bit of shit stirring and Teruki also signed up for his club with no real bias. Carol, Jade, and Teruki: that's a good trio of friends right there!

Sadly does not fight this chapter, and does act more like a coach as ink, smoke, and giant geysers of water attack and separate the group. His legs still work, he can run to anyone's aid!

Again, tries getting Grim to spit out the rock!

Chapter 4 ―

Okay... Okay... The dreams are very specific to Overblot individuals, and at this point, Teruki has figured out pieces of Carol's mission. This is a difficult chapter for Teruki as he just had his cast taken off and only had a week of physical therapy before Idia, his main "doctor", vanished to go home. He's dealing with a lot, and won't take it out on Carol but, this chapter starts off with home sickness for Teruki.

If Carol has home sickness as well, maybe they can bond over it a little. Will tell Carol he has a twin sister, and a little brother. Will tell her that she reminds him of his sister, because of mostly the secret keeping and also the more neutral takes she has on situations. Doesn't tell her much else, because... well, Jamil happened.

Teruki is a body guard and a private investigator, and now that he has a phone, he's always glued to it and generally searching things up far too rapidly for answers. From what he's gathered from the Asim family, he reluctantly (even under Jamil's spell) agrees to go. Jamil probably doesn't try anything else on him for fear of Teruki catching on, since he was resistant.

Will be very humble and respectful in another dorm, as he usually is in other people's abode, but nearly tears the door down the instant he was locked away at night. If Carol wasn't in a room to his right and they could communicate through the windows that led to a large drop, he might have gone until his arm broke again. Carol would have to be the brains of this operation for escape, as Teruki doesn't handle loss of autonomy well at all. Teruki will willingly use a broom to train against students at the pond.

After the escape to Octavinelle, Teruki would be glad that they made it out okay... until he uses a broom to get their pursuers away with the Tweels. Will offer Carol the final blow because he swears he's about to snap, LMAO.

Teruki's greatest weakness: loss of autonomy or control of himself on any level. Useful info!

During the stint in the desert, Teruki would tell Kalim in no certain terms that anyone worth their salt as a friend wouldn't try and kill their friend. And wasn't shocked at Jamil refusing his friendship, or Azul's advances. This is probably the chapter that Jade, Teruki, and Carol's Trio solidifies.

Chapter 5 ―

Would probably be making breakfast at this point if Carol is okay with slightly spiced cinnamon dishes every so often (he's a spiced kinda guy) and she doesn't pull away for her missions as much. The dreams are far too coincidental, and he shares them with his small friend group that came back from break.

Of course, Ace and Deuce talked him down. Grim laughed at him. Carol, if she knows anything, will be questioned if she shows any sign. If she doesn't tell him anything or barely little, Teruki will be more independent this chapter. Not forgetting her, but Carol knows he has a fractured memory of his original home... he needs processing time.

Remembers a time a charge of his, as a bodyguard, had left out crucial information on his enemies family name. Also pieces together fractured bits of his demise as well, and his punishment for failure. Will now not take an emission of truth from anyone, he will be more aggressive in his persistence for his past...

... Then gets sucked into VDC. And even though he dances with ease and potential with the group, because Kalim asked... he absolutely will not dance in front of Vil. Grim does the dancing. Of course, Grim doesn't get in.

Is very supportive of Deuce and Epel being rebellious (his weakness), Carol please be the voice of reason if they need scolding! He is not mad when Vil starts a diet, he used to diet before he started working back home. Will now take up half the cooking, and has to be watched by Vil, because he might salt things a bit too much...

Carol, please, believe him when he spills his guts about the mirror and what he believes Vil is about to do! Of course, no matter what, he's dragging Carol along so she can help! (Is sad that Vil Overbloted on them anyways, and will apologize fully later for dragging Grim and Carol in!)

I honestly think Teruki would manage to keep Malleus ("Hornton") a secret, and would surprise Carol and everyone with their friendship. Of course, Teruki and Carol need to have a talk about secrets later... but for now, he votes for Night Raven, and is not surprised they lost. Was a bit surprised at Rook being the tie breaker...

Enlists Carol's help to find Grim after Mickey made him aware that he's missing! He trusts her and trusts Grim, as he has a weakness to animals as well as younger kids. Grim cuts open his previously injured arm like canon MC, and he scrambled out of there to call Carol and Crowley as fast as possible...

Chapter 6 ―

(Keeping this one short, Chapter 6 is veeerrry complex!)

He is upset that finally all those dirty rocks Grim ate are coming back to bite him, and surprised Vil is willing to pay for anything for Ramshackle. Of course he's going to ask Carol if it's okay but... I mean, that's a good amount of money!

Does not blame anyone for keeping their share, not at all. It's fair, and not everyone can just give it away when they have family and futures as well.

Is absolutely pissed and tries attacking the intruders with a staff made by Idia and/or Rook, but Vil uses magic to push him back and he is unable to stop anything. Will need Carol as a shoulder to lean on, as he is still stitched up from Grim.

Is very willing to call Rook's bluff with Epel on the broom over the ocean, but he just doesn't want to be left behind to wait. Will apologize if Carol chews him out for enabling being dropped in the ocean when Rook might not have been able to save them.

Definitely has his retractable staff or a quarterstaff, and has it confiscated. Will smile evilly if he gets a stun baton off of a guard robot. Carol, rein him in! Rook and Epel just enable violence, especially Rook!

When he gets a kiss from Vil, Teruki is just flabbergasted. He's gotten a kiss from a supermodel/actor/singer and he stares at Carol like :0!

Definitely does perform any first aid if needed. He's got basic knowledge and does know how to do a tunicate, field stitch, and CPR. Can drive, so he probably operates the hovering cars for the group that is Ramshackle+ Pomefiore on one car.

Wants to solidify their friendship, if she will allow it. Was definitely :0 at the new home hologram, and 100% is giddy to lay in the magical projection bed of his room!

In the Guest Room (function), Teruki would prefer anything with dark wood or dark colors, Octavinelle furniture, or anything victorian looking. He will also take anything that looks vaguely Japanese, even though... ow, it gives him migraines... !

kyuu would definitely appreciate carol! especially when ace and deuce is in his dorm....

kyuu will bring out some snacks either he or trey made to encourage the freshmen- and thank carol for the help

though outisde of that i dont know how often they meet, kyuu's very reserved outside of his dorm- and as a third year he doesnt share any classes with carol. instead its an admire from afar situation wwww, maybe he'll stop by with some extra food later as extra thanks for helping out the kids <3

as for yuu! OH LORD CAROLS A LIFESAVER

Aigtht so I am curious about this ship thing more if you get the once I chose for my MC support character or suggest me something new.

Carol is the group mom, kind caring, tries to be reasonable and a shoulder to lean on. She can get angry if people don't take her serious. She was insecure, but thanks to meeting Eve, she got more open and speaks her mind more.

In matters of love she is more on the shy and easily flustered side if it’s about her. Has lots of crushes but takes forever and overthinks Situations.

If it’s about others she is supportive and sometimes even makes some smug comments to kinda make light of the situation. As well is she won't take smack if others force their opinion on her. She wiöö discuss it to the end.

She tutors many students including ace and deuce which she mostly gets a bit annoyed by.

Kind and caring, you'd do anything for anybody.

You help people cook and even help them study.

Whenever people are sad, they always have your shoulder to lean on.

Though some will try to take advantage thinking you're easy to con.

If things get a little too much for you, just come over.

He'll always be there to help, the dependable---

Carol tutored students for money, but she wasn't heartless enough to those who couldn't afford the tutoring. What started out as a part-time gig became a daily thing, reeling in more students by the day. And of course they didn't have money.

Carol sighed and walked rubbing her stomach a bit. She was hungry and didn't have money to buy food. Her sight became blurred and she tripped over her own two feet. How embarrassing. Someone rushed to her and helped her up, it was Trey Clover. He asked if she was okay and she nodded, but her stomach betrayed her and growled. He instantly understood what had happened so he guided Carol to Heartsabyul and fed her.

After being fed, Trey mentioned to her that she needed to take breaks once in a while. Carol felt like she had a responsibility to help those she was tutoring, which made Trey sigh, "Looks like I need to help you out then." He then gave her a basket of muffins and escorted her back to her dorm. Carol didn't really know what that meant.

The next morning Trey gave Carol a muffin before class, to make sure she ate breakfast. And after school he joined the tutoring sessions to help the students study. He didn't accept any payments and insisted Carol kept the earnings for herself, he just wanted to make sure she wasn't overexerting herself.

Days passed and it became a daily thing. Trey gave Carol a muffin in the morning, helped her tutor in the evening, and made her dinner at night. For many of the residents of Heartsabyul students, they couldn't help but think the two of them were dating.

And they were... kind of. Not officially until...

One day Trey made her a cake that had frostine decorated on it that said, 'Will you go out with me?'. What a dork. Carol of course said yes and shared the cake with Trey, where they enjoyed each other's company from then on.

"Looks like we're declared as 'mom and dad' of the group. How embarrassing. Hahaha. ... What? I'm not mad about it Carol. I like it actually."

I offer you for the oc interactions: Carol, Gilly and Phobetor

Carol

So other than Juvia who’s already close friends with her, I think Tinsley and Carol would get along really well!! They’re both two of the more mature people around here in NRC so I feel like they’d team up to handle some things if needed. Both of them also give off mom-friend vibes so I can see them kicking back and ranting about their days together!

While I do only have 1 male oc officially released, I do think that Tiago would take a liking to Carol! He likes how she’s mature and speaks her mind. While Carol’s cooking may not taste bad, he’d definitely teach her how to make her dishes look more presentable during their time together.

Now Noor doesn’t necessarily dislike people without a proper reason, but she probably wouldn’t be very fond of Carol due to the fact that their personalities clash a LOT. Noor wishes she could be as responsible as Carol is and holds that against her. She’s also just a snarky person in general so some of her comments might tick Carol off.

Gilly

She doesn’t have a profile just yet but omg Gilly and Soleil would absolutely be friends! They have a lot in common!! They’d probably meet by complimenting each other's tattoos and the rest is history. I can see Gilly and Soleil having hangouts where they paint each other's nails and style outfits for each other!

For some reason, I can picture Tomi-Grey liking Gilly. Compared to Gilly, who’s way more approachable than Tomi, She would find them easy to talk to. They would admire Gilly’s style, maybe even let them style her! Tomi’s also probably a fan of their band.

Tbh I really cannot think of anyone that would dislike Gilly. 100 points to Gilly!!‼️

Phobetor

I’m not sure if they would exactly be friends but I could see Hyacinth being interesting to him. Considering Hyacinth is a pretty hard-to-read person, I feel like Phobetor would often try to figure her out while she just…kinda stands there. It could make for a funny dynamic!

Maria and Phobetor could def possibly have a thing goin’ on. Maria does tend to be a little morbid because..well she has to re-stitch her head on every other week. And since Phobetor likes violent people, he could enjoy her ghastly presence HSJDH. They seem like the type to team up and scare people for fun.

Bringing in Tinsley again to say that she and Phobetor would NOT get along. The knight-hater and the former knight? That’s a conflict waiting to happen. She’d probably have to stay 15 feet away from him at all times. Even if she wasn’t a knight, I just don’t think Tinsley and Phobetor would click very well.
