Gonna be real with you guys I'm getting sick of the Malenia Vs Radahn debate again (oh my god what a shocker Internet debates are driving people insane)

The whole point of the battle was that it was a pointless tragedy cause both parties were equal opposites. Malenia is a Dex and Faith build, Radahn is a Str and Int build; Malenia rejects the Golden Order, Radahn embraces it (moreso Godfrey tbh); Malenia's got no poise, Radahn is the poise (I'm joking w/ this one).

Even despite their differences, both had similarities, like how their armies are extremely devoted to their leader and how both are insane on the battlefield. Just like other characters, they fit perfectly into Elden Ring's theme of perfect opposites (take Marika and Radagon for instance)

No attribute they bear outweighs any others, so the battle is literally the definition of 'Unstoppable force Vs Immovable object'. Inevitably, it ended in disaster for both sides: Malenia is losing her memories and self and is only being driven by her blind faith in Miquella, whilst Radahn and the entirety of Caelid are rotting away, waiting for someone to put him out of his misery. No one benefitted from this fight or got the better outcome, which makes it the perfect tragedy that could've been so easily avoided had their Great Runes not corrupted them.

So... Chao haven't changed much. Chip however ? HOO BOY. Say hello to ring sprites, also called chips, Light Gaia's minions ! They're scattered fragments of the ring flame ( that firey thing above Chip's head in all the doodles ) that never made it into proper rings.

I experimented a lot with Chip as you can see. Skipped ahead a lot with that last image, but had to include it. Final design ended up being the last one in the middle right labeled "Chip chip !"

Hello! Glad you like the content teehee! to put it simply it's a "this was an alliance that was made through manipulation and selfishness." that then leads into "Oh no, we're bonding and also I may have feelings?what the god damn." type deal. Though I don't have a timeline of when or what triggers the change (YET) I have a relatively good idea of how it really begins. Jon and Jervis aren't exactly proactive when coming to alliances so Edward is the one to girlboss, mansplain manipulate the other two while in arkham for the time they are there. They were all loners of sort without many "allies" and with enough in common with their...strengths. it was easy enough to Jervis on board mostly because of a combination of emotional manipulation and some CHARM on eds end which worked...well!

too well maybe. (the meme being an exaggeration? probably.)

Meanwhile, for Jonathan though they had already known each other somewhat prior as acquaintances, was harder to achieve... mostly due to Jon not really falling for Edwards pretty words as well as being stubborn as a mule. SO he had to rely mostly on a logical "quid pro quo"

so if I wanted to say one word to sum it up "complicated" it's complicated.
