luckily because she didn't have FIP in the end, i don't have to worry about viral transference whenever i do adopt again (and any viral load would have died off in 2 months anyway), but just because i've been in p much a 9 week fugue state that has uhhhhhhhh had its effects on the apartment, i'm doing a deep spring cleaning anyway...
found 7 of her whiskers around on different bits of furniture so far 🥹
so many dog groomers who say that furminators have ruined their clients coats and tell people not to use them but all it takes is one person who decides they know more than them to be like "actually my dog is fine :)" for people to think its harmless

Dulce is an enthusiastic greeter, and is always eager to see you when you enter the room. She was rescued on Valentine’s Day, is an avid movie buff, and loves sitting next to you while you take in a sofa-side matinee or a late-night showing. Other interests include: Meeting new people; being brushed (she loves the Furminator); being held; playing and hanging out.
Caramelo was rescued on Valentine’s Day (with his mom Dulce), and is an inside-the-home adventurer and bedtime-reading pal. He loves exploring his environs and taking in new territories and scoping them from windows. After a romp with his wand and bell toys, he likes hanging out on the sofa with you, and enjoys falling asleep to a good bedtime story. He can be reserved around new people. But once he settles in he is a curious, playful, affectionate book-loving guy.
Caramelo is bonded to his mom, Dulce. They are waiting for their forever human who will love them both so that they can live the rest of their lives together.
okay but I think the Furminator Hair Collection Brush might actually be my favorite currycomb brush I've ever tried ????? and I bought it on clearance at the petsmart on a lark??
Weird narrow shape lets me actually use it on a smallish dog rather than a giant-ass horse while following the curves of her shape. Rubber thing like "shedding blade" very good for upholstery. The back is the best curry I've ever used for a dog. The whole brush is sized really well for really currying out a short to smooth coated dog, especially one between 10 and 40 pounds that can be a pain in the ass to work over with a shedding blade intended for horses.
And it works perfectly well on upholstery to get hair off. Where has this thing been all my life?!
This was not my dog. But he was a dog who was in my care for the last few years and I am mourning him now. My good buddy was a retired greyhound who lived most of his life pampered and cozy, a known entity in the neighborhood who introduced me, just his walker, to many people I'm happy to know. I haven't had my own dog in years, and I got to vicariously love though him.
the last song i listened to: highway star by deep purple
last show/film watched: the notebook. i cried so much. would not recommend if you're in a vulnerable state
relationship status: single and ready to mingle lmao
sweet, savory, or spicy: savory! i've had a sweet tooth for a while, but i prefer savory by a mile
last thing i googled: furminator - i always research things i consider buying for my dog and this has mixed reviews :/
my current obsession: hot chocolate.... i'm a bit ashamed to say how much i've had this month so let's just leave it at that :)
last book i read: i started reading percy jackson the lighting thief this morning!
looking forward to: writing more!! and seeing more films!!
