Last weekend I went to the Akiba Pass Festival, which is basically watching anime movies the whole day. Just the right thing for me. In total they showed 12 movies, 2 always screening kinda at the same time. Fortunately I didn't get into a conflict with myself because I had sorted out really quickly which I wanted to watch. So I thought I'd share my thoughts on them.
Fuse: Teppou Musume no Torimonochou: This was a nice movie. The trailer made it look more interesting than it actually was but it was definitely worth watching. For me personally the artstyle of the characters wasn't really my thing, but the backgrounds were really beautiful. I also liked the setting, but story wise I think a less rushed pace would've been better. Also I think everyone except the main character seemed kinda flat. I wish they would've choosen to give them a bit more depth. Anyway a solid 7 out of 10.
Cencoroll Connect: I found out later that this is a sequel to another movie, which I didn't watch, but if I did maybe this would've made more sense to me. It felt like I just got thrown into the story but not in a good way, also it really wasn't that exciting, even the fight scenes felt quite tedious. The artstyle was okay, but the colours were so dull and the backgrounds so empty and let's not talk about the character designs. My only comedic highlight was that black haired antagonist boy but that's about it. It was okay but I wouldn't watch it again, 5 out of 10.
Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love Kingdom: If Uta-pri weren't one of my guilty pleasures I probably would've walked out of this. I really can't speak of any story cause there was none, it's basically just a full concert. Let me just say that this was Uta-pri in every way, the visuals, the music, the characters... everything. But as I am quite the Uta-pri fantrash I enjoyed this so much, but still 6 out of 10 with at least 2 extra points because Uta-pri.
Children of the sea: Holy fucking shit was I blown away by this! Not only was the story totally captivating and beautiful but the animation was one of the most gorgeous things I've ever seen. The amount of detail, the fluidity of the movements, the colours, the artstyle, everything, just wow. Also the music was really atmospheric and nice. This felt like it was over in an instant that's how much it sucked me in. Also did I mention the animation?! Definitely my Highlight and I'll totally buy this on Dvd, I also already ordered the manga and am very excited to read it. A fantastic 9 out of 10, cause I almost never give a 10 out of 10 but let's be honest that's what it is, a friggin 10 out of 10. Go watch it, now!
Birthday Wonderland: This was my second highlight. Also definitely woth buying it on Dvd. To me it had less of a classic 'Alice in wonderland' vibe than rather a huge 'Ni no Kuni' vibe. Nevertheless a great movie with a heart warming story, charming characters, good animation, lovely characterdesigns and setting and really great music. A bit predictable story wise but still 8 out of 10.

Fuse: Memoirs of the Hunter Girl was a soild C+ very entertaining to the very end had a lot of faults but still good. Ending could have been more romantic but i think it all kinda fit seeing how the romance and everything came- like in quick rounds.
