#future wilmon
Text
Imagine some time in the future Wilmon living together. Simon still plays online games with Ayub and Wille comes to the room and straddles Simon in his gaming chair and crosses his head under Simon's linked arms holding the controller, putting his head on his chest and completely wrapping him with his arms because Simon has been playing for hours and Wille is bored. Simon says he is leaving because he has a baby to take care of and Ayub only laughs because this happens so often.
"Okay, you win, I am yours now." Simon says with a fond smile.
Wille kisses his cheek and holds him until he is fully recharged. Simon never gets tired of his boyfriend's clinginess even if they have been together for years.
"And I am yours." Wille says.

Wille removing his purple nail polish before his birthday broke my heart, especially when you consider that purple is Simon's color. He was essentially hiding who he was once again, all for the Crown's sake. I hope that in episode six he finally realizes that he can choose who he wants to be, and doesn't have to be trapped by the monarchy.

Hahaha but imagine if the very final scene of YR is Simon sitting by himself, back at Marieberg after Hillerska closes. The camera is on him and we see people around him still looking at him and he looks lonely. All of a sudden, someone says, "Can I sit here?" and Simon looks up and there's Wille with that sweet half-smile.
"It's just," Wille adds, "All the other seats are taken."
And Simon starts smiling as well. "Wille," he says. "This seat's always going to be yours."
The END.

The absolute ATTENTION and ADORATION and AGENCY that Wille gives Simon while they’re intimate is *chef’s kiss*.

Wille abdicates in the morning of his 19th birthday. He promised himself and Erik that he would try for a year of his adult life to see if he could see himself becoming a King in the future he would be proud of. But after a year of butting heads with the royal court and Simon suffering through more royal duties than he ever desired to, he decides to put himself and his love first.
That afternoon, he takes Simon out to a park, finally free of a security team. They sit by the lakeside in silence for a while, before Wille reaches into his jacket and pulls out a ring, holding it in front of Simon. It takes Simon all of two seconds to realise what's happening and he immediately bursts into tears.
Wille reaches out to hold Simon's hand with his spare one before saying "Simme, before I met you I could never have become the person I am today. Someone brave enough to stand up to my mother and face the whole country and tell them all that being the future King is not the life I want to have. I hope that I made you proud today, and I wish to make you happy for the rest of our lives. It would be the greatest honour I could ever be given if you would agree to be my husband."
Simon sobs again before saying "what the fuck Wille, of course I will be your husband! God I'm so proud of you" and Wille lets out a sob himself as he holds out Simon's hand and slides the ring on, before launching himself into his fiancé's arms and crashing them both down. They lie there kissing and laughing and crying for the rest of the day, because for the first time there is no one else to answer to, no one to get permission to take an afternoon off from, no one to witness their love but the bees and the flowers and the sun.

People getting stressed about 'endgame', but what does 'endgame' even mean? They're officially a teen royal couple in the public eye who perform Wille's royal duties together? We get a flash-forward of them in their late 20s/early 30s at their royal wedding? They are a teen couple who live under the radar of the media circus?
I am expecting the series to end on them being a teen couple/discussing the next immediate steps (university, military service, etc), but we don't know what lies in the long future. I assume there will be open questions and no confirmation of what happens if/when Wille ascends the throne.
I don't at all think we're going to get a, 'happily ever after' story, with two elder actors sitting on a sofa holding hands and giving a '50th anniversary' Wilmon interview in 2083. I think Lisa wants to give us room for our own imaganations.

I love Simon so much and understand every decision he’s made & don’t judge him. Wille is still my fave and my baby cuz I relate to him too hard. When Simon gets hate I get mad and defend him, but when Wille gets hate I’m ready to meet people in the pit to fight to the death. Like it makes me feral. I feel like the vast majority of viewers and fandom members are understanding and supportive of both of them even though I have seen people overly critical of both of them as well. What frustrated me about some of the criticism for Wille in s3 is that people are very sympathetic to what Simon is going through- losing love for his interests, kind of disappearing, being sad- and almost blaming Wille for it. Instead of remembering and understanding that THIS IS WHAT WILLE HAS DEALT WITH HIS ENTIRE LIFE. He has not lost interests because he hasn’t even had the opportunity to discover what he’s really interested in. He lost himself a long time ago, when he was still a child and it’s only continued. Meeting Simon was where he began to really FIND himself. He never wanted the life that he was given, and particularly did not want to be forced into the role of Crown Prince. But he’s also had no opportunity to just figure himself out and find out all the things that he might love and the things that he might want to do. It’s just so SAD. I would never judge Simon from making the decisions that he felt were right for him, I completely understand it and do not blame him at all. I just get really touchy about when I see people claiming that Wille was “dragging Simon down”. Simon had to deal with this for a few months and look how it negatively affected him. Wille has had to deal with it his whole life, and it only got worse when he became crown prince. Simon had a choice and Wille didn’t feel that he did. But he was wrong. Sometimes it just takes someone else from the outside to help you gain perspective and realize that you truly do have a choice.

Simon has a little cousin. He introduces Wille to her as his boyfriend and she asks "Simme, are you a prince now? Or will you be a prince when you get married?"
"No, I am not a prince. It is not something you can be. You just are." Simon explains totally ignoring the "when you get married" part. They have been together for some time but it is still early for that talk.
"Why are you lying to her?" Wille asks with a glint in his eyes.
"What?"
"You are my prince and you always will be." Wille says looking him in the eye the whole time.
"You are so lame." Simon says but he tries so hard not to show he is affected. He fails miserably as his smile takes over his face.
"Simme is a prince. Wille told me." the little girl yells to the whole room and everybody chuckles. Simon is so embarrassed and his face looks like a tomato.
"I hate you." he says fondly turning back to Wille.
"I love you too, baby." Wille replies with a smirk.

The moment Simon realises that whatever he will do, he can't get away from this, he can't deny his love for Wille, that time with him and being kissed by him is all he wants.

An AU where Wilhelm for some reason goes back in time, accidentally influences his teenage mom to be brave and pursue her "unfortunate romance," but then oops Wilhelm is at risk of not existing so he has to coach his own dad, the cardboard cutout Ludvig, to develop a personality and romance Kristina with joy and authenticity. When Wilhelm returns to the present day, his family is normal and happy, and he goes to Marieberg, and Erik is alive, and his parents love Simon, and Wilmon is just a giant fluffball of open queer teenage love, and they all live happily ever after.

After s2 I don’t really trust anyone from cast and crew. I need to see with my own eyes before deciding whether it’s really good or not…
I only have one “requirement” (not the right word, but the one I can come up with atm) just like you said you would be bothered by wilmon breaking up for a long time, I have one too and it would piss me off bc it wouldn’t make absolute sense in a final season soooo. We’ll see 😭
I was blessed enough to join the fandom when s2 aired so i do not carry the trauma yall carry😂 so i will continue to live in my happy little trusting Omar bubble and no one will take that from me 😌
Happy to share my delulu with everyone 😌

doesn’t everyone belong in the arms of the sacred
He painted and painted and painted and Wille held him and watched, shared Simon’s perspective, watched the whole thing happen, and Simon felt like a fucking miracle worker, creating a world in front of both of their eyes, a world of color and light, saturated with gratitude and love and affection, a documentation of Simon’s search for joy, his desire to grasp onto it, cling onto it, make it permanent.
chapter 1: still a believer, but i don’t know why
Painter AU part two :) for @royalwilmon
