Yuichi Usagi is [SURNAME] [given name]
lol I've written abt it before going into more specifics & making theories, but this post is just to clear it up again as a general ref for newer fans reading old or new posts abt it and finding themself confused... edit3(15.1): rightfully so! if you've ever watched more than 5 anime or just read some manga, you might recognize that Yuichi is most commonly a given name in Japan. Even viewers familiar with japanese would have made the same assumption. But the show itself uses it as a first name, so it becomes confusing. After jan 6th we found the behind-the-scenes lore for that too.
- clearest tell in the show itself that Usagi is his first name - his auntie calls him Usagi. What auntie calls their sole nephew or close family member by their family name? ... which would have to be her own family name then too...???
Secondly. He introduces himself as Usagi the more he's in the city. First as Yuichi Usagi, but then after a few chases, he gives up and introduces himself to Kitsune as "Usagi"in the 1st episode. boy wants to be known as Usagi haha.
edit 2 (8.1.2024): as of 6.01 we have official confirmation that this is fact + a little backstory! Yuichi is the boy's surname
the whole show, all the other characters use japanese naming convention - e.g. Gen introduces himself as Murakami Gennosuke to the Bat Squadron. it seems the other younger characters call each other by given name basis because they're either all around the same age or don't feel like using family names for each other. Often characters don't have family names because they're orphans (Chizu, Kitsune, Hana). Or it's the only name they go by in general (Tetsujin, Lady Fuwa).
it's that simple! you can headcanon whatever but at least know the show itself has named him this way.
I've already written about this b4 too but Yuichi can very rarely be a family name (apparently). there might be other reasons the show crew gave him Yuichi as a family name, but if that doesn't cut it, you can always adopt my theory that he has a rare two given names.
But yeah, the show makes it clear that Usagi is his first name. It's a spinoff based on Usagi Yojimbo and some of its stories and ideas, and made by fans of the comic and Stan's work. They decided to give him this name, for whatever reasons, and it's his name used in the show. There's too much much work in the show itself for them to give him a random name either, "just because they're ignorant" or even just bc they didn't research. They clearly did or the show wouldn't have some surprising elements to it as a spinoff or as a past+future combo of japanese aesthetics.
Him and the comics' original Usagi, Miyamoto Usagi can share a first name. I know it looks confusing coming from other shows where evryone has specific names. I know it's just generally confusing as a tmnt fan... but their names and tags can co-exist as-is. maybe i don't get out enough into other shows but I've never seen a fanbase stretch themselves so into a pretzel over characters sharing their first name. also Miyamoto Usagi is based on a famous historical samurai, more precisely - Miyamoto Musashi. His movie depiction was what inspired Stan Sakai in the 80s... ppl in real life share first and last names very often so it just doesn't bother me personally that they share one name, but not their family name. So I don't get anymore why ppl are upset that his name is a combo of two first names... I believe there's also a irl children's book author named Usagi Yuichi (maybe pseudonyms being animal names is more common in japan?idk) so I wonder if the crew knew about that 🤔
clearing this up again bc every time I see someone say smth about this show and it's some misunderstanding on top of a misconception, I just wanna make a simple chart to explain things lol. but i don't know if ppl would care even. I know ppl sorta dislike this show or don't care abt it anyways. but then... why talk about it? why share info like a fan who knows or cares about it... and then it's false info... so idk, if they're not a fan, don't take them at face value, but even if they're a fan, it's easy to share info without a source and have others think it's real. Be ready for info to change or your first impressions to break. I've mostly only theorised or drawn from the show itself so far, but even things I say might change if other evidence is provided. So... lol lets all just read into this show calmly I guess.
edit (7.1.2024): lol another thing to add that I didn't think about: there's a 1000 years between the generations of Miyamoto Usagi and Yuichi Usagi. so them not having the same surname would be considered quite normal (and so far, no evidence to conclusively say that M! Usagi is a grandpa... the scene between Usagi and his auntie in the evening in ep 1 also seems to allude that there are many generations between the og era and the future era and that Usagi's auntie is speaking of her own direct great grandfather and Miyamoto Usagi separately...
Anyway. That's all! Hope this is helpful to newer fans.

Hello I think I'm a little late (╥﹏╥), for the event request may i ask for Chronoir and fuwa + U, W or Y (im sorry if you have done it)
hi hii! I'm very sorry for posting so late :( but i hope you enjoy this!
Tumblr media
100 followers event request
Tumblr media
pairings: Kuzuha, Kanae, Fuwa Minato x gn!reader
letters: U, W and Y
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kuzuha
U = Ups and downs (Do they fight often? How do they make it up to you?)
Fights with him are pretty rare.
He hates fighting with you so he tries to avoid it at all times.
Even if he did something to make you mad and you raise your voice at him, he’ll never raise his voice back at you.
He would apologize to you verbally because he honestly doesn’t know what else to do to make it up to you.
If it’s a banter though, then he would playfully raise his voice back at you.
W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)
Very much.
He would tell himself that it’s fine and that he can continue living without you, but eventually, it takes a toll on him.
He would be thinking about you most of the time and in order to not do that, his streaming hours would concerningly increase.
No matter what he's doing, it would somehow remind him of you.
Eventually, he would go to Kanae for some comfort.
If he is given another chance to be together with you, he would definitely take it.
Y = You (Do their viewers know about you? How often do they talk about you in their streams?)
I have already written the letter Y for him and you can find it here!
Tumblr media
Kanae
U = Ups and downs (Do they fight often? How do they make it up to you?)
It’s a 50/50 I guess?
If he knows he’s in the wrong, then he would definitely apologize to you and bring you out on a relaxing date to make it up to you.
If he’s not in the wrong, he would fight back.
He wouldn’t necessarily be raising his voice at you, but he would be blunt about things that he says to prove to you that he did nothing wrong and that you’re just raising your voice over nothing.
After that though, he would still apologize to you for being too blunt, but he’s not the one to apologize over things he didn’t do.
W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)
Not really, no, he wouldn’t feel incomplete without you.
He would miss you, yes, that’s something normal when someone who's been in your life suddenly leaves.
But he wouldn’t mull too much over it or become too sad over it.
Would tell himself that he was able to live just fine before you came along, and that right now, it’s no different than the past.
It’s not that he didn’t love you much, but it’s more because he’s independent and he can totally manage without you.
Y = You (Do their viewers know about you? How often do they talk about you in their streams?)
I have already written the letter Y for him and you can find it here!
Tumblr media
Fuwa Minato
U = Ups and downs (Do they fight often? How do they make it up to you?)
Fights barely ever happen with him.
He’s good with his words and is always gentle with you so nothing about his actions ever tick you off.
But even if you do end up raising your voice at him, he would never raise his voice and would try his best to calm you down.
Honestly, he dislikes it when you get mad and shout at him.
Would make it up to you and cool off your head with some gifts, especially if there’s something that you’ve been eyeing lately.
Even if it’s not him in the wrong, he would still apologize to you and give you a few kisses.
W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)
Fuwacchi would definitely feel incomplete without you.
You leaving him would deeply hurt him and he would keep blaming himself for your decision of leaving.
Would take him a very very long time to move on, as he would keep letting himself get swallowed into the guilty feeling, even if any of this wasn’t his fault to begin with.
Everyone around him could clearly see that he has changed ever since you left, looking more and more discouraged every day.
To be completely honest, he wouldn’t ever be able to get over you.
Even if he manages to get another lover in the future, a part of him would still deeply love you.
Y = You (Do their viewers know about you? How often do they talk about you in their streams?)
He talks a lot about you in his streams.
There’s a hint of innocence and passion whenever he talks about you, which his viewers and colleagues very much adore.
His colleagues would often tease him saying how tired they are hearing about you but it wouldn’t even stop him.
He’s very proud and happy to have you by his side and isn't afraid to show it to the rest of the world.

ROF-MAO Spice Interview Translation (May 22, 2022)
Tumblr media
ROF-MAO is a male unit consisting four members of VTuber group "Nijisanji": Kagami Hayato, Kenmochi Toya, Fuwa Minato, and Kaida Haru, the four have been active in a wide range of activities, mainly variety shows and music on YouTube. On April 13, they released a mini-album "Crack Up!!!!" containing 6 original songs. SPICE had an exclusive interview with the busy group, which is scheduled to hold another live concert in July. We asked them about their thoughts on their activities.
――ROF-MAO was announced on October 21 last year, and on April 21, it was just half a year since its formation. Could you share with us miscellaneous thoughts about your activities so far?
Kagami: “What kind of scene will it create when we as VTubers do something akin to a live-action entertainment show?” I think this is the concept and theme of each of the videos that are being uploaded now. I feel that it is becoming more and more familiar to us, to our fans, and to the public.
――Like you're getting used to it, or it’s starting to get well received?
Kagami: Yes, that's right. I think people are starting to look at us not because we are "unusual", but because "the four of them went there!", not just fans but also non-fans are gradually acknowledging this in the past six months or so.
――I see. How about you, Kenmochi-san?
Kenmochi: At first I was filled with the fear that I would be made to give "fanservice" because it is a four man group.
――Asked to do fanservice (laughs) How was it in reality?
Kenmochi: I think I managed to get by with just a little bit of that after the reveal (laughs), also, as Prez (note: Shachō–Kagami's nickname) said, there was a strong mood of ‘new movement’ when it first got unveiled, the viewer reaction gave a sense of "Are you going to start something that is not Nijisanji-like?” However, now I feel that we were able to greatly expand the range of what can be expressed without changing the form and groundwork of "Nijisanji".
Fuwa: Personally, I’m surprised that it has already been half a year. I have been enjoying our activities with the same excitement I had when we first formed the group, and I still don't feel like I have been "active for half a year," and that is honestly it.
Kaida: For me, too, the past six months have been very hectic, and my impression is that I have become more involved with many different people. When ROF-MAO was formed, the viewers and even the four of us wondered what kind of unit it would become, but from that point on, it has become known that "ROF-MAO is this kind of unit!", this recognition of ROF-MAO as a unit is now well established. I think the past six months have only been the "prologue" of the group, and it’s been a half year for people to get to know what kind of group we are.
――What are some unforgettable things that happened during the past six months of working together? This could be something from the shows, behind the scenes, etc.
Kagami: I have a variety of special favorite times on the show. One that I particularly remember is the day when we had three outside location shoots, which was a lot of fun. Maybe I didn't mention this, but the "Go-Karting," "No Plan Drive," and "Private Boat" sessions were all shot on the same day. On a day that gave out "Let's have fun in Tokyo all day!" vibes, I was thinking “It's great to have this kind of shooting because of our activities....” in the car that Kaida-san drives.
(No Plan Drive Episode) ノープランドライブ 墨田~お台場付近
――How would Kaida-san describe your most memorable experience then?
Kaida: The Private Boat episode was so much fun that I remember every detail of the shoot. To begin with, I’m not the type of person who enjoys going out for leisure, so I don't think I would ever think of taking on a private boat in my life. Besides, after being active as a Liver for so long, I don't get to see the outside scenery as much, so that time when we took pictures while enjoying the night view was really memorable for me.
(Private Boat Episode) 【屋形船貸切】初心者の一眼レフ写真対決!
――How is it for Fuwa-san?
Fuwa: Well...like you two, I am attracted to outside shoots, partly because I don't usually go outside. I think Go-karting is the first thing that comes to mind in terms of having fun with everyone. The guest times are also a lot of fun, but I do have to pay attention whenever it is with a guest......
(Go-Kart Episode) 【クラッシュ】ゴーカートで日和ってるやついる?いねえよなぁ!?
――When it comes to guests, that reminds of syudou's times as a guest (laughs)
Fuwa: I was quite nervous that time, but I had fun doing it...
(syudou as Guest Episode) 【過去最高の緊張感】絶っっっっ対に失敗できない戦いがここにある・・・!
Fuwa: If I had to name the riskiest/most dangerous episode ever, I would have to say the "Safari Park" episode. Actually, I had to record this episode early in the morning after not being able to get much sleep because we had the "Paranormal Spot Location” shoot late at night the day before, perhaps this was the one time I was the most listless. Kaida was driving and wobbled me around, so I became even more quiet... If you are curious, please do check the episode out.
(Safari Park Episode) サファリパークで運転したら囲まれ舐められ大変なことに……
Kenmochi: If I could add a light story that hasn’t got caught on camera. But one time he fled from the shooting spot by boat at full speed, because of an urgent situation.
――By boat? (laughs)
Kenmochi: Looking back, surely it was a sort of dangerous situation, but I remember well everyone was enjoying the unexpected turn of events and it was a good time. I think it will eventually be made into a video in some form and get released. When it does, I hope you will enjoy it by all means.
Kagami: Actually that part is the one that definitely shouldn’t get released to the public.
Fuwa: Now that I think about it, we might got a little out of our mind too (laughs).
――I'll be looking forward to your weekly updates then, as it made me very curious about it. Now, on the mini-album "Crack Up!!!!" released a few days ago. Placed No.1 on the weekly album chart on both Oricon and Billboard, it was a great place to start off with.
Kagami: Honestly, there wasn’t much reaction from my surroundings to the fact that it got #1 position on Oricon and Billboard, which made me not feel special about it. Isn’t that the case with everyone? How is it?
Kenmochi: When I saw a big advertisement in front of the train station, or when I went into an anime-related store and heard our song being played, I still could feel the "Is this… for real!?”
Kagami: That being said, there were times when I avoided going to CD stores on purpose, so I may have been completely oblivious to that.
Fuwa: You could also find huge advertisements for the album on station platforms.
Kaida: For me, it's actually the opposite. When I got a call that we had reached #1 on the Oricon and Billboard charts, I thought, "Huh? Could it be that we're actually popular?” (laughs)
Kagami: I see. It feels like the initial Spirit Gun in Yu Yu Hakusho*, it wasn’t only us, but also all the staff involved in this work, who put everything they had into this at one blow, which is why we were able to get such great results.
*(霊丸 / Spirit Gun, Yu Yu Hakusho MC’s signature move as he concentrates his Spirit Energy into his right index finger and releases it as a projectile)
Tumblr media
――When it comes to the four of you, it seems that all of you is someone who has shown your passion for music and been actively involved in music even before the formation of ROF-MAO. Can you name one musical artist who has had the greatest influence on you and whom you respect?
Kaida: For me, it was the composer ryo, I was greatly influenced by supercell and EGOIST, including their vocalist.
Kagami: There are many artists who have influenced me, so this kind of question is difficult, but if I had to narrow it down to one person, I would say Moto Fujiwara of BUMP OF CHICKEN. Fujiwara-san is the first vocalist of a rock band that I was into in my life, so I’ll have to mention him.
Fuwa: I also have many favorite artists, but if I had to name one, it would be TAKUYA∞ of UVERworld. One time, I had the opportunity to perform at a live house as a hobby, and I heard from a staff member that he "always gives his all". I learned a lot from his attitude and stance and grew a strong admiration for him.
Kenmochi: Even though I have more opportunities to be involved with many people in the music industry now, I would say it is FLOW, with whom I had the opportunity to perform live together at last year's "Nijisanji Anniversary Eve Festival 2021”. I was able to experience firsthand how these amazing people have been working in this field for many years. In the midst of feeling like I’ve been allowed to stand on a stage that is beyond my capacity, I was shown "how to be on stage" and "where I should aim to be”.
――How did the mini-album "Crack Up!!!!" proceed in the making? Did you record the vocals while the tracks were already in the works?
Kagami: The production itself starts around the end of 2021? That was as far as I could remember.
Kaida: Vocals were basically recorded by two people at a time, with one group consisting of me and Prez (note: Shachō–Kagami's nickname) and the other group being Mochi-san (note: Kenmochi's nickname) and Fuwa-san, and so on. We would proceed in such a way that the first person that records the song would be the one to do the harmonizing, and so on.
――There are a lot of duets and harmonizing in the song, it must’ve been quite difficult?
Kagami: It was difficult.
Kaida: That’s right.
――Kaida-san also had some comical duet parts with Fuwa-san, Isn’t it?
Fuwa: When you say "duet" do you mean that part?* (the talking part in Let’s Get The Party Started!)
Let’s Get The Party Started!
――It's that part for example (laughs), it gives off all over the place feeling.
Kaida: That was me summoning "Imaginary Fuwa Minato" inside me and thinking, "Is this how he would act?"
Kagami: Ah, I see, now that I think about it, that was recorded on a different day, wasn't it?
Kaida: That song was recorded with me and Fuwa-san in a separate group. I remember we recorded that song at a time when our schedules were quite tight.
――You have assembled a very splendid team of creators, including Q-MHz, KEYTALK's Shuto, syudou, Maeyamada Keniichi (Hyadain), Noi, and MONACA’s Keiichi Hirokawa. Did you get a chance to meet them in person for the actual recording and be given any direction?
Kaida: Everyone was present during the recording. I think it turned out to be a good recording session because they could clearly convey the passion in "this is how I would like it to be”.
Fuwa: Maeyamada-san's direction was so memorable because it’s so fast-paced. “OK!” “OK!” “OK!” It proceeds just like that. That was very interesting because the speed was totally different from the others.
――It looks like everyone was getting on board with what Maeyamada-san was seeking from the start. Now, this is not meant to be demeaning at all, but on the other hand, what song took the longest time to record?
Kagami: For me, it was “Shitteiru Tegami/Familiar Letter”.
Kenmochi:  That was the same for me.
Kagami: In a sense, this song is a literary composition that placed particular emphasis on the singing expressions. We each had our own views with Hirokawa-san's view laid out about the song, and then asked each other, "How should we do it?” We started the recording by singing the same phrase in several different patterns, using different voices and nuances, and the process ended up taking quite some time.
Kenmochi: While the other songs are energetic, this song has a slightly different flavor, so I tried various approaches to the song, such as emphasizing expressiveness in the way I sing it, and it took me a long time to grips the song.
知っている手紙
――I see. Now, please tell us one recommended song for each of the four of you from the songs included in "Crack Up!!!!".
Fuwa: I would recommend listening to any of them depending on your mood, but if I had to pick just one, I would pick "Shitteiru Tegami/Familiar Letter"
It may seem like a follow-up from their answer (Kagami and Kenmochi's previous answers), but the interplay between the instruments, especially the guitar and bass in the second half, is really cool, so please do give it a listen!
Kenmochi: I would also choose "Shitteiru Tegami/Familiar Letter". I think this song has the "The ROF-MAO you can't grasp unless it’s through music" in it, that can't be conveyed only through ROF-MAO Cram School where we appear. I hope you will give a listen to it.
Kaida: I would have to say "Lack Hack". It is a song composed by Vocaloid P, Noi, with a very catchy intro and powerful grip in it. There are parts of the song where the notes go very high and the structure of the song was also difficult, so I practiced a lot for it at home. On the recording, I felt quite the sense of “I sang it well!”
ラックハック
――Kaida-san in “Lack Hack” is remarkably good (laughs).
Kaida: When we were recording together, Prez praised me so much that I left home with a big smile on my face (laughs).
――How about Kagami-san?
Kagami: I think it's "I wanna! You wanna!”. I simply love the song. The person who wrote this song was Shuto-san of KEYTALK, and of course I knew that he was known to be a band member with a lot of energy but I was surprised to find out later that he used to be a member of “the cabs”, and in that sense, I was deeply impressed.
ROF-MAO "I wanna! You wanna!"
――Shuto-san is well known for KEYTALK, but his work with “the cabs”(note *1) is also great, too.
Kagami: While the song is not something like the cabs, the bass right before the last chorus plays a ridiculous phrase, almost like it’s Billy Sheehan (*2).
――the Mr.Big bassist? (note *2)
Kagami: Yes, that's right (laughs) the part feels really wild as if messing around. During the recording, I was barely able to keep up with the music, and I was doing aggressive shouts from the top to the bottom, to the point where I thought, "Can I really go this far?”  It was fun to record the vocals.
the cabs: A three-member post-rock band that belonged to Zankyo Records from the mid-2000s to the early 2010s and was active with ‘te’, ‘cinema staff’, ‘mudy on the last night’, ‘highsinonasa’, ‘3nd’ etc. After the disband, Shuto focused on KEYTALK, and Kunimitsu Takahashi, who was also a member of the band, is currently working on a solo project "österreich”.
Billy Sheehan: American bassist active on the rock scene from the 1980s to the present. After playing in the Talas and David Lee Roth bands, he made his big breakthrough with Mr. Big and became the center of attention for his super plays. He is still active with various artists and is one of the greatest rock bass heroes with one of the best techniques of all time.
Kaida: When I heard Prez's chorus, I had a feeling that he really had fun recording it.
――Is there anything that you have become more conscious of or pay attention to in your daily life as you work in ROF-MAO?
Kagami: We have a regular ROF-MAO meeting about once a week, we and the staff have to come up with ideas to the point where we are all heaving with frustration to squeeze it out. It would be great if we could come up with various projects from our own ideas, so we start to look at our daily lives and think "This might be useful" or "This might be interesting”.
Fuwa: One thing I have learned in ROF-MAO is that I have to be very careful to get a good night's sleep the day before a recording session. Since the recording sessions sometimes start early in the morning and last until late at night, In fact, I have become much more conscious of this during other on-site recording sessions as well.
――You mentioned the same thing before. (On how the Safari Park episode was shot when he lack asleep)
Kagami: I think it really is such a huge deal for him. There was one time he slept really well, and he mentioned it maybe 13 times that day, "It totally feels different!!”, he kept saying it over and over (laughs).
Kaida: I get that (laughs) When Fuwa-san is listless, he looks like he could actually fall asleep in the middle of recording, so I can see it in his eyes.
――Haha (laughs) Kaida-san, do you have anything to add?
Kaida: I, the same as Prez, have started to look for ideas everywhere, and become more conscious of the video contents uploaded by creators. I also try my best not to get injured. ROF-MAO Cram School involves a lot of physical activity, so even a slight injury can prevent us from doing it at full strength. Of course, we take safety precautions during the recording, but I am very careful not to sprain or injure myself because I am the type of person who is careless and prone to it.
――How about Kenmochi-san?
Kenmochi: Something I become more conscious of, huh… I wonder... If I had to put it bluntly, I'd say that I try "not to be too conscious" of anything. I think being in this kind of showbiz industry sometimes makes you feel like you should give away your own true self for fame, but I’ll still make sure not to act too idol-like, flirty/giving fanservice, and push myself too much.
Fuwa: Like ROF-MAO’s last frontier?
Kaida: The one who wants to keep his beliefs intact and unwavering, right?
Kenmochi: Yeah, just like that.
――To wrap it up, Kuzuha & Kanae & ROF-MAO Three-Man LIVE "Aim Higher" is scheduled to be held on July 27th. I know it is still early to prepare for the event, but we would like to hear your feelings toward the live performance such as "I want to do something like this!” or “I want it to be this kind of live performance!”
Kaida: The strongest image of what I want to do is to show everyone who has supported me so far that "I can now do this!" This will be my first time performing at a live concert, and I am very excited to be able to sing on stage. I would like to experience the heat of the moment, which is something you can't understand unless you are there.
Fuwa: We ROF-MAO, Kanae, and Kuzuha are going to perform as three separate artists, so I imagined this concert as a battle of live performances. I’m really looking forward to seeing what kind of performance we will have, and I hope we can give a performance that won’t lose to the other two.
――Thank you very much. Kagami-san?
Kagami: One thing I keep in mind is that it’s my defeat if the audience thinks, "It was good this time, too."
――Defeat? Why is that?
Kagami: I think we are at the point where holding live concerts in Nijisanji is now becoming the norm, in a sense. Except for Kaida-san, if the members who have the opportunity to perform on many live stages cannot excite the audience with something brand new and fresh, there won't be next time. Personally, for me, it’d be better not to consider "It was good this time too." as a passing grade. I want to aim for the live performance holding a certain sense of risk in order to go to a higher level.
――I see. And finally, how about you, Kenmochi-san?
Kenmochi: I have participated in various live performances since the early days of VTuber, and I feel that VTuber live performances have progressed rapidly. This is because not only the performers, but also all the staff behind the scenes, such as the one in charge of lighting, sound, and producers who plan the events, share the same attitude that I can sense from Prez's talk. Even the way we set up this 3-man live concert was quite aggressive, and it was the first time for the four of us to perform in a live concert. We are trying to present something new in terms of performance, and we hope to make it a new experience for the audience as well.
――Indeed, and with that, I'm sure to look forward to the July live concert! Thank you very much to all ROF-MAO members for your valuable stories today!
ROF-MAO: Thank you very much!

Trivia
Color: #002FA7[16]
Gilzare's stream output is very inconsistent and usually only streams once every few months. Despite this, his viewer turnout is usually quite high in comparison to his subscriber count. As of 4 January 2023, he has only streamed 31 times (34 archived videos in total) since his debut.
Gilzaren is known for being a big fan of VTubers and lurking/commenting in chats, as well as updating his music playlists, which are filled with VTuber-related music. However, as he is slightly inactive when it comes to streaming it has become a running joke for VTubers that see him in chat to tell him to stream more.

Episode 10 of The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses: Release Information
Welcome! The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses anime series, which has experienced tremendous global success, is finally come to present us with the most enthralling love story. The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses' episodes were immensely moving and won over viewers' hearts. Riho raged at Hayato as he made advances towards bikini ladies, as we witnessed in the previous episode. Riho has a lot of difficulties when Fuwa's grandson visits the hut. Ami is advised by Hayato to scare off Fuwa's grandchild.
The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses' Episode 10 release date, as well as information on the story's current progress, are all covered in this article. The past of Riho as a child actress is revealed by a reporter. Her mother made Riho work a lot, which had a negative impact on her health. If you continue reading this article, you will find out more about what happens in the story after that.
Tumblr media
We may anticipate that Riho will progressively gain Hayato's trust in the following episodes based on what we saw in the most recent episode. In the last episode, we saw Riho shouting at Hayato for flirting with bikini ladies. It's possible that Akane will confess something to Hayato in the future episode as she discusses her feelings for her first love. To give Hayato a hint about the song, Ami might drag Akane into the water. For more information about the release date of this anime you can visit the theanimeupdates website.

There’s something so tragic/emoi about the ending of the last fuwagusa stream (not the pr one). First off, them understanding each other completely in the game when even the viewers may not understand. Fuwa explaining things in a batshit insane description and Akina understands it completely. and the same go reverse. The game made in a way so the players screen can be completely different yet they can understand.
Secondly, the ending choice where Akina keeps thinking about “Life” (ex. “I want to live/survive” “I want Fuwacchi to live”) VS Fuwa who keeps thinking about “Death” (ex. “Don’t die” “Am I going to die?”). They balance each other out yet still face the same way, wanting each other to live. Saegusa “want to live” Akina VS Fuwa “won’t die” Minato
Finally, Akina asking Fuwacchi if they will be friends forever, even after they are no longer livers and Fuwa telling him they will, even though they won’t know what will happen. Akina saying what if Fuwa gets stab (probably Fw’s host lore) and saying he doesn’t want it, and it’s going to be difficult to handle it if does happen. Then fuwa tells him he won’t die because he doesn’t want to and that whatever happens he won’t forget their relationship and that it’ll be nice if they can be friends in the future.

For once, have some Assassination Classroom content from me that is not about Karma, but about Fuwa instead.
Fuwa Dubbing AU
Basically, Fuwa is really good at changing her voice
Deep girl voice, little kid voice, high and mighty old lady voice, raspy yet comforting voice, dreamy voice, she can do it all!
So when she felt like she was on top of her studies before E class, she started a channel of her dubbing mangas
She does all the different voices, edits in sound effects, even background music when the scene calls for it
Instead of mimicking the voices in the animes, she picks a voice for each character herself, going by her own headcanons
By the time final exams in the 2nd year at Kunugigaoka are coming around, she's dubbing 2 different mangas, and uploading them all every two weeks
Not to mention that she has a lot of subscribers who have say that she's like a beacon of light in the midst of exams
Let's just say that she failed to balance studying and dubbing mangas, and dropped down to E class
She was so sad, and took a short break from the channel about two weeks
It would've been longer if it hadn't been for this one guy
This one guy
Who had commented on every single manga she had dubbed with a new character for her to voice with an analysis on how well the voice she did fit each character
I don't know about you, but being genuinely told that something you made was good? That is the literal best thing I have ever experienced, especially by a random stranger on the internet
Fuwa uploaded a video the very next week, and started getting things back in order
Since E class work was a lot less hard and stressful than her old work was, she had a lot more time for her channel
She managed to get one of them out of the way (finally, after all of those chapters!), and picked out a new manga to dub
She did a livestream so she could pick out the voices for all the characters while getting feedback from all of her followers
She faked her voice and wore a mask to protect her identity
Do you think I'm done here? Absolutely not
At some point, maybe near the start of the second semester, she and Takebayashi try studying together
Takebayashi helps her with science, she helps him with history
It becomes a semi-regular thing for them, and their love for manga and anime lead them to make a lot of metaphors and references to make things easier to memorize and understand
One day, Takebayashi decides that they deserve a little break, and shows her one of his favorite manga videos
One of Fuwa's manga dubbing videos
She then notices the name of his account
Which turns out to be very familiar from her brief hiatus
Takebayashi was apparently the guy who had given her the analysis that made her snap out of her Sadness Time
She pretends that the video is new to her, because she thinks that he might judge her for doing that stuff when her grades are less than satisfactory compared to his
He finds out
Takebayashi somehow manages to find out
He does not, in fact, judge her at all
Long story short, after a fair amount of fanboying, he becomes her assistant
He helps her edit in the background music and sound effects, the manga panels being shown at each moment, and helps voice some characters
The upload schedule becomes a fair bit quicker with him helping, and they get another manga finished
The two of them do a new livestream together to decide the new voices and also to formally introduce Takebayashi
The fans are pretty happy
Some are a bit jealous, but hey, faster updates are faster updates
All is well
At least until Koro-sensei finds out
He is... very proud of them
Which is nice
But like
He also really wants to be part of it
They eventually cast him a very minor character to get him off their case

fuwa’s radical views are often more amusing than anything, but i think he’s partially right in being wary of self-aware robots, considering they’re the kind of robots metsuboblabla (who are robots themselves) likes to target for the sake of their evil agenda. so aruto and izu’s “everything’s fine :D ;)” mentality doesn’t exactly make me root for them

Samurai Rabbit trivia refs (+ name reminder)
just short post to say: Usagi is meant as his given name.
We don't know the lore or backstory for why Yuichi was picked as a surname
update from 6.01.2024: Candie Langdale, one of the showrunners for SR, confirmed that it is indeed Yuichi Usagi [surname][given name] and that they asked about Yuichi as a surname from both their japanese consultant and Stan.
the backstory is that they wanted to name him Usagi, but wanted to differentiate him from Miyamoto Usagi as well. They also wanted to honor the guy working at the karaoke bar they had been frequenting the past 12 years. Yuichi was considered based on these as a surname.
(read the reply in this post post by Freakova here: https://www.tumblr.com/freakova/738803294989860864/the-writers-of-samurai-rabbit-have-confirmed-that)
the show follows the same naming conventions as the comic, so [surname][given name] as in real-world japan, Gen introduces himself as Murakami Gennosuke in ep 4.
However, it mostly drops honorifics in the EN language original (but the honorifics are back for some characters in the JP dub)
You can use/do whatever you want in your own fanfic/versions but it's just good to know where the show is coming from
You can also use them in the same way as Stan and the show's crew do - Usagi when it's just about him, Yuichi when they also bring Miyamoto Usagi into the convo, or "our Usagi"/Yuichi and "Stan's Usagi/Miyamoto when talking about them both.
Whether Yuichi is meant as a namesake, a title, or just a very rare surname, the show itself has all the younger/ally characters call each other by first name, while older/enemy characters get called by their title+surname (w/ the exception of Lady Fuwa and Chizu, bc of the story arc there)
his own aunt calls him Usagi
both names are probably meant to be used in general, but in-world, everyone who becomes friends with him starts calling him Usagi, which is the name he prefers to introduce himself (see episode 1)
(lol this next part is a lil debunked now after the news from 6.01.2024 haha)
I have a suspicion that maybe that's what the name was for, like a consideration for the old fans and new viewers. Maybe it was intentional because the showrunners were aware how naming is tricky for this franchise (re: that 1987 TMNT re-named Miyamoto Usagi "Usagi Yojimbo" and most 87 fans still know him as that? the showrunners are old enough to have been in that audience) so maybe they intentionally looked for something that would sound good as both surname and given name (just another thought)
Anyway, since there's still confusion by fans abt it, here's some good general sources also just for those interested in learning more random trivia abt the show. But these are the sources I've used to refute for myself what older posts/tags claim: that there was no research and no respect in the show for Stan's original work or for Japanese culture. From these it seems like the opposite is true.
"Samurai Rabbit Facts" - this is a "# facts" video but provides a lot of interesting trivia from both the show and crew, as well as about Stan's involvement in the show. Fun stuff in general, like how Usagi's sandal features Stan's signature as a fun easter egg to characters they wanted to include but didn't have time to.
Tumblr media
The Comicbook Couples Councelling podcast with Stan and Samurai Rabbit crew (youtube vers) - This interview features Stan and art director Khang Le talking about the characters and the art, while showrunners Candie and Doug Langdale answer burning questions about the storylines and writing the show as well as learning new things during pre-production and research. Both sides talk a bit about the challenges of adapting something as prolific as Usagi Yojimbo for a younger audience.
The 2021 SDCC @Home panel with Stan, crew and cast - LOTS of fun visuals and very informative on how the crew worked on the show when the first COVID lockdown happened.
The POPverse interview with Stan Sakai - This is a great interview about many of these same things in the other interviews, if you prefer reading rather than listening to interviews.
I have my old post abt Usagi's names and the connection to Senso (one of the main inspirations for the series) and i'm writing a new one, but I thought this shorter post might be useful. Plus, while writing longer essay-like things can be fun for me personally, the ultimate goal there is to provide some food-for-thought for other fans while being informative abt the show itself. Hope this helps!
(update 16.01: both of these are now slightly disproven I suppose since we know the real reason from co-showrunner Candie Langdale now since january 6th haha xD but - still keeping these as the theory is still interesting).

Tumblr media Tumblr media
»— TANJIROU
"Tanjirou, are you okay?" You waved a hand over his face as he suddenly stopped mid-way his sentence. "You just stared at me out of nowhere."
"Uh, ah!" He gulped. He blushed. Bby boi melt. So cute....
"Tanjirou?" You called out to him because he looked so nervous.
"So pretty. I-I-I mean you're just so pretty I just want to look at you!" Realizing what he just said, he covered his mouth. "F-Forget what I just said! But also don't."
»— ZENITSU
You were talking about your most recent mission when you noticed that Zenitsu wasn't listening to you anymore.
"Zenitsu-kun," you called out to him bursting his little bubble.
"Y-Y/N-chan? What is it? Is there something wrong?!" Zenitsu panicked
"No, nothing really. It's just that you're staring at me. Are you-"
He paused for a while then screamed. "I-I'm sorry, Y/N-chan! It's just that! How can I even explain it! Marry me right now please!"
»— INOSUKE
You placed another piece of meat on his plate just to see if you'll get a reaction out of him, but...
"I-Ino-" You started, however he's just staring at you bewildered, until he screamed and erupted.
"What are you doing to me, woman!?" He screamed while jumping up and down perhaps just as how erratic you made his heart beat deep inside with those fuwa fuwa feels.
»— KYOJURO
You were eating lunch together when you noticed that Kyojuro's unusually quiet. Looking up at him, you saw that he's just staring at you, his food untouched.
"Uh, are you okay? You're staring at me."
"Oh, am I?" He laughed. "Oh, right. I am, I am."
He continued his hearty laugh as you blushed.
"Can't help it! You're just so beautiful. I guess I got lost just by looking at you." Kyojuro proudly announced which got you even more flustered.
»— GIYUU
The two of you were playing shogi when you realized that Giyuu was not thinking of his move rather he was staring at you.
"Giyuu," you called out and it seemed like you finally brought him back to earth. "Uh, you were staring at me."
He just gave you a blank look. "Am I?"
"Yes," you answered.
"Okay," Giyuu answered, however he didn't even bat his eyes nor change his expression. His gaze still locked through yours.
"Uhm...you're still staring at me?" You told him.
"I know." He answered. "Can I stare at you some more?"
»— SANEMI
You placed a hand on his forehead and he flinched as if you surprised him. His face ultra red as he questioned you, "W-What are you-"
"Well, you're just staring at me all this time so I thought you're not feeling well."
"S-Staring!" He blurted out, pouted and turned his face away, all flushed while covering the lower half of his face with his hand. "'ts all your fault!"
"What is it?" You asked.
"Nothing! What're you talkin' about!" He grumpily returned.

Okay.
No one cares about my two cents but I feel like saying a thing.
Do I think this is absolutely the end of the Western toku fandom? No, honestly. If the Mouse can’t stop leaking and piracy, Toei can’t stop all of it. It will definitely start having to come from small circles/shady places, but they are not gonna be able to stop all of it. I think it might slow stuff down make it harder to access, but if people stick w/ it, it won’t disappear (also subs will get worse bar certain services).
Tbh, I’m not entirely convinced there’s a genuine threat either, at most might be a scare tactic, however I strongly support the fansubbing groups’ decisions to not risk it. In cases like this it is way better to be safe than sorry. While it’s disappointing to lose access, it’s in no way worth them risking getting sued or anything like that, esp since they’ve done it on their own time for free for so long.
But I do also have to admit that I think there’s a portion of the Western fandom (esp the American one, I think, as an American, but I could be wrong) that brought this on themselves/the rest of us. It’s not so much an issue in smaller circles, where I try to stay, but I’ve felt for a long time that the ‘mainstream’ ‘general’ toku fandom in the West is… Very, for lack of a better word, toxic. There’s a certain sense of entitlement and arrogance? So many people who seem to totally lose the fact that we are not the target audience. That’s not to say one can’t criticise (I’ll be the first to say that I have things I disagree w/ in shows), but I’ve in many places seen people say things that utterly baffle me, and esp in the Western fandom there’s this attitude that some toku, KR in particular ‘isn’t actually for kids anymore, more adults watch it.’ I see people making wildly inappropriate comments about actors (whoever started that rumour about poor Noa, the challenge to fight you still stands). Stuff like that. The sort of elitist attitude I felt from the whole Amazonz thing.
But the fact is, it is a kids’ show, and we, Westerners, are not the target demographic. Sure, we do represent a portion of sales, but we’re not where bank is. Toei doesn’t care if you won’t buy a Sentai toy bc the girl isn’t yellow, or whether you hate all the characters. We’re not the target viewers. For all I whine up the wazoo and joke about fighting Takahashi, I have no illusions that he cares what I think or that I have any power/can do anything about what was done. I can critique and say I disagree, but ultimately Toei doesn’t care what I think (although I’ve given them some solid cash bc of Horobi and Fuwa… ;^^). I think there’s some large misconception that the Western fandom is more important than it actually is. I’m not saying we’re not part of the equation and we don’t give them money and it wouldn’t behoove sales for us to have access to the shows, but that I don’t think we’re such a substantial cut that ‘losing’ us or having Western consumption slow down will be a large blow to them—at the very least, from their perspective, we wouldn’t be.
Also… There’s this attitude of invincibility? Japan’s not some distant, exotic, magical land of mystery. Toei has a public social media presence. There’s absolutely multiple people at the company who speak and read English, at least, fluently, probably even other languages. You put stuff in places where they will see it, they will see it. I may not be a huge fan of Shirakura’s producing style and I don’t know what he’s like as a person, but I do have to say I respect the grace w/ which he handled getting (twice?) confronted by piracy/leaks by simply saying ‘you/we’re not supposed to know about that.’ And I know those aren’t the only instances (I remember when Nachi was announced as part of the cast, someone was asking him about Thouser, who we were, to quote Shirakura P. ‘not supposed to know about’ at the time).
Basically… It’s the same thing as people harassing fansubbers for not being ‘fast enough’—we were never entitled to these shows, esp not for free. Yes, us getting to see them did provide Toei w/ revenue, but we are not the target audience, this was never an official release of the show or anything else. It was something that some people who were interested in the shows/genre did out of the kindness of their hearts to share it w/ us on the down low. We were not owed anything, we do not deserve any super special treatment. We invested our time, by our choice. It’s sad to see the access go, but again, we were never entitled to it, it was just something people did to share something they cared about, and their well being is more important than getting the shows free.
Of course, I do understand being upset. I’m very disappointed. Maybe support movements to get the shows legally easily accessible in the West? I heard stuff about there being people advocating for that. Alternatively, and not like anyone who would do this is following me or near my blog, maybe don’t brazenly show leaks and mention benevolent piracy to people in the company? For one thing, you’re putting the leak and/or fansubbers in the crosshairs when they’re just trying to do something nice, and you’re being tactless and rude in general. I wouldn’t be surprised if Toei was on the side of turning a blind eye towards the sharing bc of the sales, until it started getting shoved in their faces. What started as a fun, well meaning way of giving access to something enjoyable that other people might not be able to get to was twisted into some sort of… Weird, entitled, toxic, arrogant, demanding mess by people who… I dunno. Forgot the circumstances? Were so full of themselves they didn’t care? Didn’t understand the situation?
Either way… Congrats, guys, you ruined it for everyone. Thanks.

Note
vulval killing fuwa was definitely something, but it had a lot of guts to try and make viewers shocked over mbjr's death considering how many times humagears exploded and came back with no consequence on the show (This is Jin's third time dying, even)
and yet it honestly succeeded
