If you think being the lover of a dysfunctional ex-convict is a chore, try becoming the lovers of two egoistic criminals.

You’re trapped. Sandwiched. Pulled from opposing sides but your magnets (lovers) are very careful to not ruin you because you’re prettiest when you still have your sanity intact.

DAZAI has generosity in allowing you choices compared to Fyodor. He's lenient with you and prefers to dominate you subtly.

Dazai has zero respect for personal spaces. He doesn’t like invading people’s boundaries due to the effect of people mistaking him as someone close later on, but since he's sharing you with Fyodor, he has to mark his territory.

He distracts you from Fyodor and gets on Fyodor’s nerves (in a rather hot enemies-and-lovers way). Two birds and one stone.

Opposites are an attractive sight, so he finds it really attractive to see you contrasting Fyodor. When you're flustered hot by Dazai’s wooing, Fyodor shoots ice at him with his eyes from afar.

He'll mess with Fyodor later. You first.

FYODOR is the bad cop between the two. Not that Dazai is a good cop but anyways. He's blunt and rude, but for you, he can be a little gentlemanly.

His love language is attending to your needs. He's a very good listener, you can vent your problems and he always gives you two options.

"There are two viable options, and I have a bias for one of them. Option A, the Me and Dazai’s way. Option B, society-confirming and the ineffective way."

When with you, Fyodor doesn't pay any attention to Dazai. Dazai is just passing wind. Fyodor’s all yours.

But if you, quoting him, "loiter around Dazai" exceeding the agreed time, he's double grumpy.

If you come to chat, he'll point to the door where a chair suddenly stands. "Sit outside and talk from there since you loved the 6 feet distance between us." He doesn't look away from his book.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂

What makes this relationship work is your versatility, you being the reason why Dazai and Fyodor can see eye to eye through the violence and agitation that comes with each other throughout the years. Such ability to pull them into realisation is also what made them compelled to you.

Fyodor's direction is riddled with his goals and Dazai’s interference breaks the harmony of it, and you are their middle ground. You're the person they wish to keep in their game when other external interruptions are unacceptable, and you made them see each other more than enemies.

Dazai and Fyodor are men who value enlightenment more than satisfaction, their behaviours have geared their nature to be compelled to whoever can ignite new thoughts in them.

You remind Fyodor that Dazai is more than a hidden gem he can compete with because you're close enough with Dazai to bring out his qualities Fyodor hadn't seen before.

You remind Dazai that Fyodor is more than an otherworldly threat since the air of alienation you share with Fyodor humanises him in Dazai’s eyes.

That's why they treasure you, and henceforth each other more (not that they’ll ever admit this). You opened their eyes.

DAZAI uses this relationship to make him feel something aside from the yearning for inclusion, putting into account Fyodor’s vindictiveness and your selective empathy. He has challenges feeling fulfilling emotions that nourish satisfaction, so he hopes that what he has between Fyodor and you can make him feel at least thrilled, excited, or threatened.

He looks forward to provoking Fyodor so he would retaliate and surprise him back because Fyodor is the only person he’s ever encountered whose actions he can’t fully predict as a big picture.

Fyodor’s reactions would range from snapping until the extreme of forgetting that he’s supposed to be “dating” Dazai, and that his retaliations are a bit too fatal for the human body.

When that happens, you have to step in. You’re Fyodor’s Pavlov Bell that reminds him of his current relation with Dazai which should he followed by understanding, patience, and empathy, albeit how irrational that sounds.

You’re also Dazai’s Pavlov Bell when he seeks too much dangerous fulfilment from Fyodor. He acknowledges Fyodor’s danger so much that sometimes he sees the man as a sure method to accomplish a successful suicide.

When it’s Fyodor’s turn to be grounded back in reality from the high of losing himself in the rush of adrenaline from the thought of reckless murder, he becomes quieter. He only talks only if it’s to speak curtly or to snap.

Honestly, you have to be really emotionally intelligent and patient to be able to handle Dazai and Fyodor both at once.

This relationship to FYODOR is an instrument to identify his instincts when he is paired with two different personalities. Unlike Dazai, Fyodor has a long term vision and incorporates this relationship into it.

He adopts an analytical approach. Often it's you and/or Dazai who dominates the conversation and interaction.

He takes pleasure in observing how he's geared to respond to your advances and to Dazai’s unsavoury jokes.

He lives in his head more than he previously has but it's more bearable and comfortable inside with your presence (and Dazai's. But this he doesn't want to admit at all).

Old habits die hard, so Dazai sometimes slip into the habit of harming Fyodor. You often find yourself gaping frightened, moreso when blood is involved.

Fyodor’s palm is delicate with no coarseness present on Dazai’s, hence your agitation when Fyodor bled through his hand.

He treats himself as a test subject in his psychology laboratory of a mind. Whenever Dazai stresses him, harms him even, or when you stand in-between the men, he's most amused.

Fyodor cherishes his emotional reactions as "unique results" he can only obtain from Dazai and/or you.

𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗗𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰

NO official labels. Nobody has asked anyone out nor discussed this. One day everyone just becomes a thing and it’s a consensus.

The mutual realisation that everyone in the relationship can bring out hidden sides of each other is the pillar that keeps the interaction ongoing.

It’s similar to friends with benefits except with no hookups. Just a deep understanding and the desire to stay with each other for a long time despite the odds everyone has against each other.

You have to be neutral to create distance between yourself and them, but doting to exhibit the unique character they like so much about you.

If you give the wrong impression of having a favourite, you can say goodbye to living. Whoever feels left off will turn your life into a survival game.

This is unfair since Fyodor and Dazai’s competitive nature sometimes decides to compete over you. You’re their prize, their muse, but also a rebound at their disposal.

Dazai and Fyodor have made a silent pact to never go too far in manipulating you to prioritise one of them. Since you’re caught in the middle of them and act as their lover, you’ll find them competing to win your attention.

Dazai’s character is to be physically all over you, he’ll never leave you alone for the peace of the mind. He’s very talkative that you won’t have time to listen to Fyodor or pay attention to anything else.

Fyodor knows he can’t beat Dazai when it comes to clinginess and being straightforward. So, he leaves his influence on your personal belongings instead.

You’ll often find your books rearranged the same way Fyodor does it, the Darjeeling tea in your mug you left this afternoon switched to a chamomile one, and Dazai’s shoes and clothes out of sight, so it’s just yours and Fyodor’s left.

And he’ll never bring it up ever. The tension of invading your traces of living just to give the message that he’s always with you gives him a thrill.

Sometimes he does it to pick a fight with Dazai.

Fyodor acts like he’s forced into this relationship with you and Dazai, but he’s the one who’s secretly the most invested. He has never felt fondness and now he’s romancing TWO people. He’s overwhelmed and is troubled to adapt to this feeling people call “smitten”.

The only way he relieves the stress is by sending weapons and poisons to Dazai and you. No chemicals are lethal enough to help with Dazai’s suicide though, because he’s smitten.

Mysterious packages arrive on your and Dazai’s doorstep in the first week of the relationship. You collect it in the back of your room as souvenirs since it’s Fyodor’s love language.

Dazai brings some to work because technically that’s a gift from (one of) his lover(s). He’ll tell you about everyone’s reactions after work every day.

“Atsushi-kun thought I decided to commit collective suicide with everyone when I unboxed the grenade from Fedya. You should’ve seen life draining from his eyes.” He snickers insensitively.

Fyodor is weirded out by Dazai’s positive reactions that the packages stop coming altogether.

Dazai doubles his flirts in public which catches eyes. He’ll cling an arm around you once or twice, bite your ear in a rabid dog kind of way, or pull your hair from behind.

Once in a team meeting, instead of referring to Fyodor as “Demon Fyodor” or “Dostoyevski” as usual, he said “The cunning Fedyenka”.

Nobody was familiar with Russian diminutives (except you, from having to hear it from Dazai until you’re sick of it). Everyone was confused with the name except Ranpo who doesn’t care. He just tells Dazai to be careful.

Dazai sends buckets of white chrysanthemums and lilies (funeral flowers) to you and Fyodor to patronise. Fyodor poisons his vase to spite him.

Fyodor found a cheap decent apartment to be a neutral ground, and Dazai smooth-talked (blackmailed?) the owner to rent it for cheap. Your role is to make sure no word about the 3 of you meeting up gets out at all. The communal apartment is like a break room for all 3 of you to meet up.

The apartment is used for Fyodor’s scheming, Dazai’s loitering, and your hobby space. 3 corners of the room are occupied by you all in silence. Sometimes Dazai and/or Fyodor fail to resist the urge to set up traps such as poison in tea and hidden needles.

You have no choice but to be the one to catch anyone in the act and remove all traps. You had to shut the electricity out one night because Fyodor and Dazai aggressively typed to hack each other.

If anyone has mutually available evenings, they meet up. If they just want to chill there to take a rest, enjoy the view, or escape the workload, they can come too.

The most frequent accidental meetups are between you and Fyodor. Kunikida often has Dazai on a leash so he can only come after the 9 - 5 work hour

There are two beds, a pantry, one small bathroom, and a veranda. One of the beds, big enough for 3 adults, becomes yours and Dazai’s since Fyodor insists he occupies the one bed alone.

To mark his territory, he hangs a rosary and a wooden cross above it, an Eastern-Greek Orthodox Bible on the nightstand.

“He’s exorcising us,” Dazai says to you. “And it’s working.”

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲

Domestic content is god tier and FyoZai makes it better. Quality time together for all 3 of you usually starts with one snarking at the other. Usually, it’s you vs Fyodor, with Dazai as your enabler.

Dazai knows the things you want from him (and Fyodor) and treats you the way he knows you want.

When Dazai’s head is on your lap, your fingers either on his hair or flicking his nose, Fyodor “reads” a book. Legs crossed, eyes on you and Dazai to observe. You and Dazai feel the weight of his stare and to retaliate, behave like an obnoxious couple usually found in public.

When Fyodor’s disgust peaks, Dazai nods at you as a signal for you to say:

“Care to join the party?”

"Or orgy," Dazai mumbles. You elbow him.

“Вы смущающее вид...” Fyodor mutters.

“What?”

“I said, lick a cactus for all I care.”

“No he didn’t,” Dazai whispers very loudly. “He said he’s too shy.”

Fyodor slams his book closed. “Дажай I swear to G—”

The cooking business is complicated, sometimes even flammable.

Fyodor nearly threw up eating Dazai’s soup. You were close to have a stomach ulcer from Fyodor’s congee, and Dazai almost broke the plate slicing your mutton.

Nobody uses the pantry anymore. The Chinatown has a lot of food anyways, which helps Fyodor’s cravings too.

You often force Fyodor to hack big restaurants to send takeout and if things go awry, you make Dazai pay for them.

"What do you do?" Fyodor confronts. Dazai nods, agreeing.

"I play the role of the model citizen so I can bail any of you out of jail if something happens."

Fyodor and Dazai look at each other for a second. "What makes you think we want to get broken out of jail?"

Fyodor would look like he choked on a soil-and-earthworm smoothie if Dazai touched any of his items. So, you often vandalise Fyodor’s hideout with a marker, writing “Dazai was here <3”

Eventually one day, Fyodor would tower over Dazai who sits on the shared larger bed. “Botched murals and name-calling I can tolerate. But this?” He slaps a sticky note on Dazai’s forehead.

Dazai reads it and laughs, collapsing on the bed. They found your “Fedya is a constipated bottom” note prank slipped between papers.

You grin at successfully framing Dazai for your mischief. Only Dazai calls him “Fedya”.

“You can argue your case for the ‘constipated’ part, I don’t care about your digestive system.” Dazai wipes his tears, getting up. “But you’ll need a lawyer to prove you can top me.”

“Are you a dullard? Your so-called Cyrillic is uglier than this. You’re letting yourself get framed for another’s crime.”

Fyodor points at you, and while they stare, you think of 100 creative ways to escape two criminals.

“I commend the effort.” Dazai shrugs. “It was an attempt.”

“You’re being uncharacteristically nice. Punishment is necessary.”

“Let (Y/N) dream. Don’t you want to argue the bottom allegation to me first?” He yanks Fyodor’s collar downwards. “Or are you a man who speaks through action?”

And that’s your cue to leave. Dazai will make sure Fyodor won’t bring this up to you, he’s such a good buddy.

I think Fyodor’s loneliness would manifest in being unexpectedly touchy. He’d seek out sleeping companions and would stand annoyingly close to others, telling himself he’s just cold. Right? His poor anemic constitution can’t keep up with the cold. Hypothermia can set in at only 50 degrees Fahrenheit and places like Russia can certainly get below that pretty easily. Hypothermia lends itself to decreased brain functions, and you can’t have that on a key mission.

Even if it was above 50, even if he was dressed in the usual cape and hat, he’d then tell himself that this is to manipulate others, if not for the cold. Touch is considered a fundamental to emotional connection. Certainly, targets he needs to cooperate would listen if they’ve been sweetened up. What’s spending the night with someone in the grand scheme of the mission? It’s not to make him feel better, no. Definitely not to feel something. Yet, some nights feel easier than others to seek out the touch of others.

He might have his suspicion about you whenever you stand up slowly, take your medication or have a lot of red meat in you diet.

Fyodor and you were sitting at the table having a casual conversations after eating dinner. Fyodor offered to clean the dishes. He stood up without realising he stood up too fast and he passed out.

Upon seeing him fall you quickly ran to him and took care of him by positioning him on his back, putting something under his legs and so on.

When Fyodor woke up he figured out you were also anaemic from how you took care of him.

After finding out you also have anaemia he would make sure you took care of yourself properly and if you couldn't he would take care of you.

You go to take your medication prescriptions together. Hospital date.

If anything happens to you he will take you to the hospital in the blink of an eye, but he will stress for you to never take him to a hospital and he has some medical kit or something somewhere

Maybe he has some trusted doctor that he only let's him to examine him and stuff since outside there are people who either want him dead or dead (legally).

He also knows what to do when you pass out.

Hold has hand while standing up, just to stand up, you can support each other while standing up.

a/n: I am glad you liked it, sweetheart! I hope you enjoy this one as well <33 mentions of blood + death

you loved the way fyodor’s glided along the cello as he played tune after tune.

it was comforting, calming, and sent a wave of security through your being.

but, at the moment, the sound of the cello is antagonizing to you. it creeps you out and makes you want to hide.

your husband isn’t the one playing it and the man who is playing is smiling wickedly as he moves his hands, roughly and stiffly—almost mockingly, “to think that fyodor had such a pretty plaything. I wonder,” he looks at you, “will he actually come to save you?”

his cackle echoes throughout the room and you hate that you can’t give a confident answer to his question.

will fyodor really come to save you?

or were you one of the chess pieces that can be discarded?

you shake the thought out of your head and try looking around once more for anything that would aid your escape.

your captor notices and quips, “give it up; this room is full of nothing—save for you and me, of course.”

you feel your chest tighten and despair is starting to fill your heart. will you really die here? Dark thoughts start flooding your mind.

but then, you snap your heads towards the door when it opens.

it finally reveals your husband, fyodor. the man leaves the cello, dropping it to the floor and you could swear that your husband’s eyes narrow, and approaches fyodor, “long time no see, fedya! hope you didn’t mind that I stole your wife for a bit.”

fyodor’s eyes travel to your form, ignoring the man, and analyze your state. you’re safe, but he would be blind if he couldn’t see the bruises on your arms, probably from their filthy and harsh grips on you.

the man snaps his fingers, catching fyodor’s attention again, “did you get my stuff? your wife for the goods, you know the policy.”

fyodor sighs, “you don’t deserve the salvation I will grant you, but—you also don’t deserve to walk this earth after what you have done.”

the man laughs, “and what will you do, fyodor? a frail man like you can only kill me if he touches me.”

a smirk settles on your husband’s face, “are you so arrogant to think that I would come unprepared?” and so fyodor snaps his fingers and a portal opens.

it’s nikolai’s, you note.

on the other hand, the man doesn’t get to react as a pole impales him right then and there.

a frightened scream escapes you at the sight and you look away. your breathing quickens and you try to move away from the puddle of blood forming.

Fyodor simply walks past it and looks at the man’s dead body, “may you be punished for all your sins,” he sneers then nears you, his eyes softer.

he kneels in front of you, taking your hands into his own, “are you okay, milaya?”

your eyes dart frantically from your husband to the corpse, “w-what about—?”

your husband shushes you before placing a kiss on your forehead then on your eyelids, “he deserved it. if left alone, a sinful fool like him will only cause chaos.”

fyodor pulls you close and strokes your hair, “you get it, don’t you, my dear?” he buries his face in your face, letting out a breath he didn’t realize he was holding, “he thought of hurting you and that alone is a big sin.”

you pat your husband’s back, “were you…worried?”

“you’re smart enough to figure that out, sweetheart,” he murmurs as he pulls away to examine your face, “surely, you don’t think that I don’t care about my own wife, right?”

you avoid his eyes and he frowns lightly, “foolish wife of mine,” he gazes at you and his lips graze your ears, “I wouldn’t have kept you if I didn’t care.”

for the longest while, he was shocked by how much you became to him, but he never fought it. he embraced it a while ago and he has come to the terms that to him, you being hurt is the biggest sin anyone could do.

so he pulls you close once again and prays that you’re spared from the aftermath of any action he does. because he is sure that once something happens to you, his heart will know nothing but vengeance in your name.

He is the person who walks around sick for almost half of a year, with a lot of sniffs and sneezes. Somehow he can manage to catch a cold even in summer. You say it is because he has an awful immune system

He already has anemia that makes his body weak. And if a bad cold is added too, he becomes almost pathetic...

If you ask him, he says he is used to being sick most of the time, but that is not true. He tried to take pills a few times for his anemia but they were useless (no, i am not self-projecting here, nope)

Most of the time, he can pull to do his work even if that means carrying tissues with him everywhere.

He hates the times when he got extra bad cold, it causes delays in his work. He is not someone who will accept to see a doctor even though his fever runs high. So if you're going to accompany him, you have to use more conventional ways...

You know hot soup, warm shower, herbal teas... He will act like you are being too "histrionic" and he is doing fine, but he will appreciate it secretly...

You put a mix of mint and linden leaves into the french press, added a tiny piece of ginger, and then poured hot water. After you waited for a while you poured out the liquid through a strainer. You had chosen your fav “I like mugs because they’re very comfortable in your hand” mug for it.

You entered the room where Fyodor was laying, he was trying to read a book but he was coughing constantly. You pulled the book from his hands: "Please drink this and rest a little. I am sure your book can wait for you." you scolded him lightly. He didn't argue with you, which was a sign that he was really feeling bad.

He took the mug, and looked at the writing on it "I don't understand why this is written on a mug" You chuckled "Because either you don't have a sense of humor or you have never heard Demi Lovato before dear.."

"Is it really an inadequacy of me that I don't get the references from the pop culture that was brought to people by no one but-"

"Darling darling..." you interrupted him "You can talk for hours about fatuity of popularism later, but I am begging you, drink this tea. now..."

He was annoyed by your interruption but he complied with your request. He sniffed before taking a sip. Then his face turned into a disgusted expression.

"Did you put ginger in this tea?.."

Depression: "... What will happen to the agency if I use two days off?" "...my program... I will be left behind on it.."

Acceptance: "..President, may I use two days off to recover?"

He knew it is natural to get sick for people... But it wasn't written in his ideals book... He must add some notes about this too...

All he wants is quickly recover and get back to his responsibilities. So he will see a doctor, he will take his medicines, will drink all the herbal tea he needs to drink...You don't have to do much indeed, he is someone who takes care of himself well. But this doesn't mean he won't appreciate it if you do some thoughtful things for him...

"I'm home" you called to him when you entered the house with your keys. You dropped the bags that you got from the grocery store to the kitchen. You could organize them later, you went right ahead to the room where Kunikida was resting. He tried to get up to greet you but you acted quicker and hugged him while he was still sitting. He froze for only one second, then slowly wrapped his arms around you

"Y/N... You shouldn't be this close to me, you will get sick too..." He murmured but didn't push you away too. You shrugged your shoulders while still hugging him "Then I will use a day off with my sick boyfriend, that doesn't seem so bad to me" Kunikida chuckled lightly "If we both use a day off at the same time, I can't imagine what sort of chaos would the agency have..." Then he slowly pulled himself back to see you eye-to-eye and started to ask you questions... How is the agency going? Were budget calculations accurate? Have you taken new cases? What kind of ruckus did Dazai cause when he wasn't around to lecture him? How many calls did you get for his suicide attempts this time?

You told him about how you took care of everything on his behalf with everyone's help (well mostly with the help of Atsushi, Kyoka, Kenji, and Tanizaki siblings... basically with minors of Ada...) But even Dazai wasn't acting so "wild". He was whining about how the agency became too quiet and no-fun without Kunikida and all the joy he got from work vanished without Kunikida...

"Everyone can't wait to get you better love they are planning to visit you tomorrow night," you told with a smile. Kunikida coughed and covered his mouth, then mumbled: "I see..." You knew he did it to hide the light blush and embarrassed smile on his face, but you didn't tease him for it. After all, he was deserving it all...

Dazai Osamu

Here comes the drama king...

First, let's be honest here... He is treating his own body like shit... We saw him in his flat, this man doesn't even cook for himself. He literally feeds with sake and canned crabs only... Despite that, he doesn't get sick easily. He has the durability of a cockroach (i swear i love him, these insults are with affection)

He is the kind of person who doesn't get sick even there is a cold season and everyone around him got ill. He catches the sickness not more once than a year, but when he gets ill, it is always the most unexpected time.

Once, while he was still in the port mafia he got a very bad cold right before an important mission. When Mori saw his situation, he had to cancel the mission.

Because this man acts like he is on the deathbed when he is sick...

"So I made some research on the internet... With all these symptoms on me; either I have some kind of chronic illness, or brain tumor.. which leads us to the conclusion that I have only 2 weeks to live..." "Or, you have a cold, you shithead.." "Do not act like you are a doctor now Chuuya, or I will throw up to your precious hat..."

He didn't change much... The only difference is now he is being your boyfriend, you have to take care of this man like you are taking care of a child. He will act like he is much worse than he is to get all your affection and care... You will need a lot of patience, to be honest...

"Ew, there is no way I would drink that crap!" You thought for a millisecond to throw the bowl of soup to his face but you didn't have the heart for it. Even though he was acting like a spoiled brat, he was miserable right now. You knew he hadn't eaten anything since yesterday morning, you had to convince him to put something in his stomach no matter what...

"Why don't you want to drink this babe?" you asked with your sweetest tone. Dazai shrugged his shoulders "It smells bad, makes me want to puke..." You tried again "What if you push yourself? Just a little? I know it doesn't look appetizing but this soup is too good for cold, you will feel better after your drink I promise..."

Dazai looked at you with defeated eyes, he couldn't resist any longer "..fine then"

With excitement, you took one spoon from the bowl and carefully held it towards his mouth, you were cupping the other hand under the spoon to keep it from spilling. Dazai slowly opened his mouth, only to make a sour face "It is too hot!"

"Sorry baby, my bad" you apologized and started to cool it down by stirring it with the spoon. You took another spoon from the bowl, this time you blew a little air before giving it to Dazai. When he started to make some teasing comments on you would be a great nanny, you decided he was already getting better. You tried to get up after he finished his soup, but Dazai held you weakly by his wrist. "You won't leave me alone on my deathbed, right?" You rolled your eyes: "You're an idiot, you know that right?" He smirked lightly "But I am your idiot, and you still love me..." You couldn't control your smile this time. You gently removed the hair on his forehead and gave him a little peck "Yeap... Only mine to love..."

well, i couldn't still get over from this week's episode and couldnt't write anything new. this was on the drafts and not proof readed, but i will still share it. fyodor stans can use it as a denial of ep 11 :')
