sorry if youve already been asked this but what brushes do you normally use for comics? your art is one of my biggest inspirations to keep drawing :)

hey sorry for the late answer!

For lining I usually alternate between using the default "Real G-Pen" CSP brush, or this Wrinkles Pen (じわペン) [Content ID：1721747] I downloaded from the CSP Asset store. It's very crunchy I love it!

For the textures, it's a combination of different brushes, but I mostly use these recently:

Hello! Thank you so much, it was a pleasure to draw Alucard! He is a cute boy. c: I hope you can get back into drawing, my recommendations would be to first draw things you love, and also, don't try to be perfect! It will drain your energy and motivation! Answering your questions: I use Clip Studio Paint (Pro) for my art. I have been trying many pens and brushes for my linework, but these are my to-go:

Before inking, I set up where the light comes from, so its far easier to determinate where the hard shadows/block black areas will be placed. I start with the bigger parts first and last are the details.

I don't use the eraser tool, instead, I use the same pen (usually the Comic Ink or 鉄鋼発狂ペン/3rd. one) but transparent, it feels way more natural to me to create the white space.

(Using the Comic Ink Pen, just black color and transparent). I work with Vector Layers because those give me more control with my lines, and it's easier to fix stuff (like line thickness), but it's not necessary. One of the cons is: the file is heavier and if you don't have enough RAM (like me, with 4GB RAM in 2023 LOL), it may freeze the computer if you want to move stuff (with transform tool), and liquify tool doesn't work with vector layers.

AAAAnd my best tip is: don't overthink the inking process and take care of your lineweight! Something not so detailed but with great lineweight can look good.

hi! guess its time for me to update my brush list anyway for anyone who is curious.

i use clip studio paint, i dont really have one brush i use there because i have loads downloaded, but heres my favourites as of recent:

default g pen (i think ?? maybe????) , 日本gペン、pen tip、にゃんペンmeow、羽ペン , ペン入れ、らくがきミリペン(墨)、うにゃペン

i also use this to paint still from time to time, but nowdays i just use the fill tool cus im lazy

for heavypaint, idk how much is relevant because im using an older version (2.3.0) while the current version rn is something like 2.7, i just really couldnt get used to it. i know theres lots of new settings/ tools/ noise controls but i dont understand them + it doesnt run well on my computer so im sticking with this ^_^ for the most part i use the fill lasso tool with the colour jitter mode at around 8-12 set to point. thats really it, occasionally ill use other tools and textures for texturing but thats really all

#my complaint i really wish heavypaint guy would not change things so drastically those menus are unreadable to me #that and among other things idk if i could really recommend heavypaint the new ver doesnt run well for me.. but theres free trial so #anyway #asks #anon #faq #sorry it took me this long to answer i was debating if it really Needed any update but i dont even draw like that anymore

Xでのフォロワーさんに勧められハズビンホテルを観たところ、まんまとハマってしまいました。まさかカートゥーンアニメにハマるとは思わなかった……………

4話でハスエン可愛い……純愛だね…と思わず堕ちてしまい…久しぶりにここまでカプにハマった気がします。ひたすら幸せになってほしい。しばらくこの熱のままハスエン描いてそうです。

天国グラデ とカラーノイズテクスチャ白(細)オーバーレイで20%

PNG保存した後Procreateで色収差3%、明るさを少し下げたあとぼかしを1%だけ乗せる

感想

いいろ鉛筆描きやすくて驚き。リピ確です👍

Huskerdustの文字列をLoserのネオンライト看板風に仕上げてみましたが、1番お気に入りです。描いてて楽しかった〜✨

個人的に、イラストを描く上で単色じゃなくて描き込んだ感が大好きなので、少しでもそこに近付けるように目指して沢山の色を多用してみました。目の部分を塗りつぶすのではなくて、ペンでガシュガシュ塗ってみたり……とか、いろいろ挑戦してみながら1つの絵を完成させるのって楽しいと感じました…！

カートゥーン調の絵を沢山描いているとどうしても普通の人間の方が描けなくなりそうで怖いというのが今の正直な気持ちですが、熱に浮かされているこの現状を絵に乗せることしか出来そうにないので、前記の通りしばらくは描くと思います。

もっと絵が上手くなりますように…！

THANK YOU SO MEGA MUCH!! means a lot to hear :3c I used FireAlpaca for a couple years, though I recently switched over to using Clip Studio Paint (which has been fun)! The brush I use for coloring/painting is called "Zassara Paintbrush Oil Wind (ザッサラ絵筆油彩風)" ,for my line art I use a slightly modified version of a brush called "Custom G-pen (カスタムGペン)", and for sketches, I usually just use the default pencil brush.

What did I learn from this experiment?

Nothing replaces drawing things yourself and working brushes into the piece saves little time, but the ones with repetitive patterns like braids, twirls, chains, and lace are worth it;

Many popular hair brushes are indistinguishable from default pens;

It’s a nightmare to find downloaded brushes when they’re named differently than in the store and in Japanese;

Textures rock.

なかなか寝れないのでブログでも書こうと思います。

超〜〜〜適当に自分の改造ペンのこだわり？というか気に入ってるペンについてだらだら書くだけの自己満記事です。ゆるくいきます、暇な方は最後までお付き合いよろしくお願いします。

▽α.BT

・マジでこれ最強なんですよ……今まで人並み以上に色んなペンを回してきましたがこれが1番回しやすいです。1番好きです。てかこれしか回せないです。正直これ以外改造ペン必要ないです。

・仕様としては梟BTのチップをゴム付きのボールペンタイプ（←これ重要）のαゲルチップにするだけです。シャーペンタイプのチップを使うと回し心地旧ドクチップのBTと大して変わらなくなるので注意してください⚠️ もし詳しく知りたければDMまでどうぞ〜

・改造コテのあるくんもブログで言ってましたが、ボールペンタイプのαゲルチップと備長炭軸の相性が良すぎるんですよね…。

備長炭は軸自体に重さがあるので、オプトチップだと軽すぎるために軸の重さに負けてしまって遠心力が効かない感じがするし、逆にドクグリとかエアフィチップだと重すぎて指が死にます。あとドクグリチップは見た目がダサくなります。

なので重さがそいつらの中間くらいで、チップを付けたときの形も綺麗になるゴム付きのボールペンαゲルチップを使うと、ちょうど良いとこ取りができて最強になれるってわけです。（旧エアフィチップのBTもたぶんこんな感じだと思うので気になってます。回したことある方、感想聞かせてください。）

・今言ったBTのチップ問題、あるくんのブログにも同じようなことが書いてあるのでぜひ読んでみてください。🔗　『正解』に辿り着いたスピナーなので考えが完全一致してますね。嬉しい。

自作G3です。こいつはこだわってる点っていうより裏話とか、遷移の歴史みたいなのを書いていきます。

① V1

・初代かろじー。実はまにあさんのクズペンを作ろうとしてたら偶然ペン先が良い感じになったので、いっそのこと自作G3作っちゃおう！となって作った記憶があります。

・ただ見た目に極振りしてるので、ペン先があり得ないくらい脆いです。インフィするとペン先のエニボが吹っ飛びます。

・回し心地はそこまで重くないけど遠心力がしっかりかかるーみたいな感じだった気がします。そこまで回しにくいわけじゃないのがウケますね。

・作り方は……正直おすすめしないしなんと言っても黒歴史の塊なので、リンクは貼らないでおきます。どうしても気になるならネットの海を探してみてください。たぶんどっかに転がってます笑

・2代目かろじーです。V1のペン先が脆すぎて発狂しそうになったので作り替えました。たしか。

ペン先があずきくんの自作丸パクリしたみたいな見た目になってますがガチで偶然です、信じてください。

・たぶんこれが自作G3の中では1番万人ウケする回し心地だと思います。重すぎず軽すぎず、長さも丁度いいし普通に回しやすいです。

・今手元にあるのは最近新しく作ったもので、オリジナルは今みくが持ってるはずです。ちなみにオリジナルはキャップ内のVPグリップにバーガンディーを使ってるのが地味にこだわりポイントです。

・3代目のかろじーです。せなさんとオフしてるときに、たまたま事務キチで見つけたボールサインNXとかいうペン（のグリップ）がめっちゃ良かったので作りました。

・なんかやたら重いしそこまで長さがあるわけじゃないので、好き嫌いが分かれそうな回し心地です。そのうちチップ変えたりするかも。

・特に語ることはあんまりないです（ごめん）

・4代目、今のところ最新のかろじーです。黒棒しか回せない自分でも回せるG3が欲しい！てことで作りました。

・とにかく長くて重くて遠心力が強いです。重さは正義、ゴリ押し最強🔥

⑤ インサ

・歴代のかろじーでは全てこのインサを使ってます、こいつらのアイデンティティみたいなインサです。普通の透明軸はもちろん、スモーク軸との相性が異常なまでに良いです。（スペースでとあるウマコテに全部同じインサじゃないほうが良いと言われたのは内緒）。

・元々ノーリスくんとトレードした時に貰ったものなんですが、流石にカッコ良すぎますよねこれ…

ノーリスくん本人から許可貰ったので、もしインサのデータ欲しい方がいれば自分のDMまでどうぞ〜

・本家は写真の通り、インサの一部の線をシグノのボルドーブラックで塗ってます。カッコ良く仕上げるコツは線を塗りすぎないことだと思ってます。ぜひ。
