“Andor” is doing what I’ve wanted Star Wars to do for years; the Imperial side being humanized. The thing that I loved about “Rogue One” was that it took the unnamed rebels who were always set up as cannon fodder and gave them fully realized identities. They weren’t just extras who get shot at, they were Cassian Andor, Jyn Erso, Baze Malbus, and so on. So, I’ve always wanted to see the same treatment for the Empire since they’re always portrayed as this one-dimensional, evil faction whose troops are also seen as cannon fodder.

We’re getting the humanizing treatment with Dedra and Syril. Yes, they’re working for the Empire, which means they’re our villains. But when you take a step back and look at who they are, they’re not one-dimensional, mustache-twirling bad guys that we typically see in Star Wars.

Imperial officer Dedra is ambitious and has a strong sense of justice, although her meaning of justice aligns with the Empire. Syril is a mama’s boy and a cop who wants to find the man who murdered his subordinates. When our heroes kill off people on their side, they’re rightfully horrified and want to see “justice” be served. That doesn’t mean we have to root for them, but it does make you realize that the Imperials are still people with their own lives and goals. It taps into that “morally grey” tone that the cast and crew talked about, where no one character is fully-good or fully-evil. They’re just people trying to make sense of their lives.

Wait, I have a question about Foundation, the TV show more precisely. They keep talking about "humanity" and "saving mankind". The Empire is the entire Milky Way (I presume). Even people presenting biological differences like the Thespians and the Anacreons are still called humans.

Does this mean that there are no non-human sentient beings in the whole of the Galaxy? Or were they all killed when the Empire was established? Or were they assimilated to the broader population of the Empire until no difference could be made?

Because I find it really peculiar that an Empire comprised of an entire galaxy and millions of star systems would only be inhabited by homo sapiens.

Though, Asimov was more of the robot strand of sf, than the aliens one. But the show, afaict, is only loosely based on the books.

If anyone has an answer, thanks.

We're starting a new Star Wars RPG campaign and I did a *totally normal thing* and created an entire cast sheet as part of my character's backstory My character (Zuzu) is a former reality show cast member, from the popular holovid show Halcyon: Below Deck She was on two seasons of the show, so... of course I have to have TWO cast sheets! Don't ask me if there are episode synopsis' because... maybe.  :X Based of course on the Halycon Galactic Starcruiser. Only the show is set earlier than the current hotel timeline. I’ve not had the pleasure of going to the Star Wars hotel, and I doubt I ever will, so this is the closest I may get ahaha. Used photos online to help with crew member outfits!

Kneel for Your Emperor (Brother Day x Reader) 18+ Finale

Brother Day leads you into his room. He insisted you don't stray too far behind him, as he wanted you near him. Demerzel stayed in the dining hall with the rest of the Empire.

As soon as the doors closed, he gently grabbed your wrist and guided you to the bed. You sat down and he wasted no time lifting your head up and all but crashing his lips into yours. He couldn't keep his hands off of you. His tongue made its way to your neck as his fingers reached under your robes. He felt how slick your inner thighs were and smirked against your neck. He pushed you back and worked his tongue around your sensitive area making you shiver.

"You like how this feels, love," he asked whilst leaving love bites along your thighs.

"Yes. It feels amazing, Empire," you say, nearly panting with anticipation.

"That's what I like to hear."

He got up and moved forward, his lips making their way to yours again. He removed his robes and rubbed his hardness against your entrance. Your eyes fluttered shut and your back arched, slightly, making him smirk at the sight. He slowly pushed himself inside, you both simultaneously groaning at the feeling. He enjoyed seeing you come undone underneath him. It spurred his fire to make you feel as much pleasure as possible.

He slowly moved his hips, making you gasp. You pressed your lips together, trying not to moan so loudly. His brows furrowed at this. He wanted to hear you scream. He wanted to hear you beg. He wanted everyone to know that you were his and only his. He craved the sounds of your pleasure.

He sat up and placed your legs across his thighs. He placed his hands on your hips and waited for your ok. You nodded and he proceeded to thrust almost erratically. Your screams echoed across the room. You were almost certain that the rest of the Empire heard you, but at that moment, you didn't care. It just felt too good to keep it all inside.

"There you go, love. I was waiting to hear your beautiful screams," he said, his voice slightly gruff. You sensed that he was close. As were you.

"Won't I get in trouble," you asked, knowing that your status and his protected you from almost all harm, even from his brothers.

"Only trouble you'll get in is with me if you don't behave," he teased.

You nearly laughed until your climax started to get near. Your breathing became more laboured and you held onto his wrists as you felt it get closer and closer. You steadied your breathing as it hit you and you nearly felt an explosion inside of you, your legs trembling and your eyes nearly rolling in the back of your head.

Seeing you release made him follow soon after. He released inside of you with a low moan and all but collapsed on your chest. You both laid there for a few minutes, listening to your breathing get quieter as you calmed down from your high.

"I wish we could do this more often," you remarked, quietly. You placed soft kisses against his neck.

"We could do it as much as you wish," Brother Day said. "No one can stop us."

"I don't think Brother Dusk approves of me."

He let out a heavy sigh and closed his eyes for a second. When he opened his eyes back up, he reached down to your hand and gave it a soft squeeze.

"I wouldn't care if he despised you. I'll protect you from him. You have my word."

He placed a soft kiss on your forehead and pulled you into his chest. You fell asleep soon after, leaving him alone with his thoughts.

'I promise you.'

Watching Andor episodes 7 and 8 kind of reignited my disappointment in the sequel trilogy. I know, that trilogy has been talked to death by this point, but I can’t help but picture a version of the trilogy where the villains are an extremist faction of the former Rebel Alliance rather than the First Order aka Empire 2.0.

Andor clearly established that the rebels wasn’t this uniform movement, they were a collection of movements that were all united by their hatred of the Empire. With the Empire gone after Return of the Jedi, it’d make sense that the alliance, now without a reason to stay together, descends into in-fighting. You’d have Luke, Leia and Han trying to keep the peace, but failing to do so due to how stubborn each faction is. And not only is this in-fighting tearing the New Republic apart, it’s affecting the main heroes too since there’s disagreement on which faction is “correct”.

Oh well, at least we still have Andor and Rogue One to give us “morally grey Star Wars”.
