simblr gatitude day <3

i have never been the most active in this community, mostly because of how insanely busy life has been since i decided to make this blog. i first started playing the sims 3 at 13, and fell in love with @berrysweetboutique's world that she and other berry simmers had created. that colorful, vibrant, magical world absolutely captivated me and when i made the jump to simblr in 2019 and started playing the sims 4 I felt so nostalgic and so grateful for the opportunity to nourish and heal my inner child again. it truly felt like coming home after a long time away.

simblr was an intimidating community to join!! (lol) so i mostly just kept to myself in my little corner. i didn't know how to jump into the amazing and robust space that so many people here had been fostering, so I just started posting a half-baked re-boot of a bpr i'd had bouncing around my head since i was a kid. if I recall correctly, @glimmerstonesims reblogged one of my first rainbowcy posts with the sweetest comment, and then @simmancy posted a recommendation of several rainbowcies that included mine (thank you both for your kindness❤️). I knew from then on that I was here to stay, no matter how few people found their way into that little corner of the internet with me.

i know that my simstyle is not the most "popular" on this site (who cares tho) but despite that, so many sweet people have become supporters of my story and characters over the years, and I have met so many wonderful and talented simmers! i want to give a shoutout to a few lovely folks who are top of mind, because every time i see your URLs in my notes or your posts on my dashboard i smile. please know that if you and i have ever spoken or connected over this game in any way, however brief, then i DO remember you and i am SO happy you are here. it is a privilege to celebrate this game with you all <3

I’m sorry I don’t have any good and meaningful words to give today, other than that I am sorry you’ve been upset this week. I know you’ve been excited about your singing work, and I wish you could be having nothing but the best time with no other worries.

Honestly, when I’m sad it really DOES effect my singing. It puts me back into that depression side of my brain & I’m recording right now but I don’t sound as refined as I do when I’m in a happy mood. I wish I didn’t have this “contemplating about what friendships should be” existential crisis I’m going through right now but I can’t help it? 

When I make a new friend, I get attached to them emotionally very easily and I care SO deeply about them. Like I would do ANYTHING to make them happy & feel encouraged & validated. And they will never know how much I actually care about them & think about them on a daily basis. And when I try to strike up convos directly or indirectly about a similar thing we have in common, I just get ignored COMPLETELY. At this point I don’t know if it’s on purpose or not. I have a terrible habit of overthinking things I’ve been trying not to do that. But when I clearly see we’re both online at the same time it just??? It makes the paranoid side of my brain question everything & it’s hard to just “ignore those thoughts” But I’m tired of repeating myself over and over and over again about how much friend support means to me. The most terrible part is that there are several people who have trampled over my kindness & have left me for no reason without an explanation, so maybe I have some kinda ptsd from that cuz I don’t LIKE losing friends. It makes me feel an unimaginable sadness when I do. And when they leave without telling me why- that is like getting stabbed to me. I’m always afraid when I see the same patterns start to happen. I’m sorry ;~; I get anxious.

Thank you for comin to cheer me up ;n; Sylph. Please never feel like I take your advice or kindness lightly. I’m a person who values people’s compassion IMMENSELY. And every word, I do cherish a lot. It’s what keeps me going & it’s honestly the only reason why I’m still here today. So from the bottom of my heart thank you for caring enough to always check up on me when Im sad. It literally saves my life every time.
