Gavriel…you’re the only one i’ll be wishing a happy father’s day too 😁
warnings: somno, oral (m receiving)
↬ 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐝𝐚𝐲 ↫
You’re beyond happy when your eyes blink open on father’s day to find Gavriel still sleeping soundly by your side. He’s usually always the first to wake up. So the fact you’ve been given this opportunity on such an ironic day has you feeling ecstatic.
The morning sun shines through the gaps in the curtains, highlighting Gavriel’s bare body. To you, he looks godly, and it only excites you more.
You’re careful with your movements, not wanting to wake him just yet. Inching closer, you lean over him, starting to plant light kisses across the expanse of his chest and tattooed neck. There’s a switch in his breathing when you introduce your tongue to his skin. He takes longer, deeper breathes, no longer emitting soft snores in his sleep. The tip of your tongue dances across his tattoo, tracing each line with precision. You slip your hand over his lower stomach, letting your fingers trail lightly back and forth, his abs flexing in response. You skim the hair of his happy trail, which sadly cuts off due to the thin sheets preserving his modesty. Yet, you can already see the outline of his manhood growing as he hardens due to your light, teasing touches.
Unable to resist, you let your move travel lower. Sensually kissing your way down his body, leaving wet streaks that glisten in the sun. You’re patient when peeling the sheets off of Gavriel, thankful it’s warm enough that the air won’t shock him into waking. You bite your lip at the sight of his cock, the ignored heat between your legs wanting nothing more than to pounce on him. But this wasn’t about you. Pleasuring your lover will you more than enough pleasure as well. You practically get off on knowing you’re the one who can make this reserved, closed off male roar like the lion he is.
You watch his face when you take your first lick of his cock. Noting the way the his eyebrows furrow as he takes a sharp intake of breath. His body shifts slightly, but he hasn’t yet woken. Continuing to drag your tongue slowly along his cock, over and over, it’s difficult to conceal your moans as you feel him getting harder against your tongue. You keep at it until his cock bump against your nose. You giggle quietly, before wrapping your lips around his tip and testing a gentle suck.
Gavriel groans, eyes still squeezed shut and hips bucking up unconsciously. You don’t mind, taking the opportunity to begin bobbing your head at a steady rhythm, taking him deeper into your mouth. The taste of him makes you hum contently around his cock. You watch as Gavriel grows restless, panting now, squirming, hands fisting for purchase. He’s on the brink of waking up, and what a surprise it will be.
Spit drips down to the base of his cock. Wet, lewd sounds can be heard each time you bob your head. You do moan this time, unable to hold it back, and Gavriel…whimpers. It’s a sound you’ve never heard him let out before, and gods does it make your cunt spark in response. Sucking his cock deeper, you feel the brush of his tip against the back of your throat. You’re breathing heavily through your nose, your lips stretched wide around his girth. He’s so big, you haven’t been able to fit all of him inside your throat in the time you’ve known him. You don’t try to now. Knowing that if he woke up to full size of him engulfed by your mouth, he’d be more concerned that you’ve hurt yourself instead of the pleasure you’re giving him. He’s a worrier like that. But, you can do just fine without. Sucking and lapping at what you can fit in your mouth, you can already feel him occasionally twitching against your tongue.
With a particularly harsher suck, you hear Gavriel groaning out something incoherent, you see his eyes flutter open to look down at you. He manages for a swift moment before his head lolls back and he moans out once again. Gavriel instantly reaches out to bury his fingers in your hair, trying his hardest to compose himself so he can speak. Yet all that he manages are stutters and groans. You’ve completely taken him by surprise. Shocked to have woken up to close to a climax.
His head is thrown back, the muscles of his neck bulging, stretching the black lines of his tattoo. His huge chest rises and falls at a rapid pace. You’ve got him right on the edge…so you double your efforts. Swallowing when his tip meets the back of your throat, humming and moaning around him, tongue massaging his prominent veins.
As he hits his peak, Gavriel finally manages to grit out your name through a sob like moan. You flush with triumph, your fist coming up to stroke him through his release, having pulled back slightly to let his cum spurt directly onto your tongue.
You make a mess, your tongue not big enough to hold all of his release without it dripping down. Gavriel has his forearm draped over his face as he attempts to come down and catch his breath. Yet he watches you clean both yourself and him with a cracked eye. He can’t help but chuckle at the sight of you doing so, paining him slightly considering he’s still so out of breath.
“Good morning to you too, little one,” Gavriel puffs out, and your eyes immediately dart back to his face. He removes his arm from his face to extend his hand to you, pulling you up to straddle his warm stomach. “What did I do to deserve that kind of wake up, huh?” He asks, palms landing on your hips. Gavriel narrows his eyes when you smile mischievously, knowing that look all too well.
You lean forward, face close to his, lips brushing against each others. Your smile doesn’t fade when you whisper, “Happy father’s day, daddy.”

Books of 2024 - January, February and March
Tumblr media
I may have been absentee but I have read a fair bit during the last few months. There's too many here to do reviews but I'm always happy to discuss my thoughts if anyone is interested.
January
The View from the Cheap Seats - Neil Gaiman
The Graveyard Book - Neil Gaiman
The Blade Itself - Joe Abercrombie
Epic of Gilgamesh - Anon
A Brightness Long Ago - Guy Gavriel Kay
February (or the month I went mad)
A Court of Thorns and Roses - Sarah J. Maas
A Court of Mist and Fury - Maas
A Court of Wings and Ruin - Maas
A Court of Frost and Starlight - Maas
The Paper Menagerie and Other Stories - Ken Liu
The Fellowship of the Ring - J.R.R. Tolkien
Before They are Hanged - Joe Abercrombie
March
Last Argument of Kings - Joe Abercrombie
The Sunlit Man - Brandon Sanderson
The Lions of Al-Rassan - Guy Gavriel Kay
Moving Pictures - Terry Pratchett
Not many classics are coming through, although I think April will make up for the deficiency at this rate... I may have read too much fantasy and it's making me a bit loopy.
The standout for the first quarter of the year was definitely The Lions of Al-Rassan. I knew I'd love this book but I needed to find the right time, well March was that time and I'm absolutely obsessed. I may even love it more than Tigana?! Time will have to tell but I'm so glad I've finally finished it and I'm looking forward to a reread in the future.

Honeymoon Book Reviews continue with The Lions of Al-Rassan by Guy Gavriel Kay! This was a @pagemelt rec- they said it was their favorite read of the year so far and now it is mine too!
The Lions of Al-Rassan
Are you a fan of sweeping historical fantasy where the greater epic conflict is consistently grounded in carefully drawn characters? Do you love an instant and erotic connection between two men destined to die at each other’s hand or no one else’s? Do you believe that it’s possible to love more than one person at the same time, not in a way that leaves any room for the common jealousies of infidelity, but is instead marked by the understanding that each love is made greater and stronger by the existence of that other love? Then do I have a book recommendation for you.
When Fitzgerald wrote “They slipped into an intimacy from which they never recovered.” He was actually talking about the three protagonists whose love story is the centerpiece of The Lions of Al-Rassan. I have a specific fixation on this kind of entanglement- not a love triangle but something far more interesting. What was refreshing here was to see it allowed for adults. I’m the kind of reader who can still enjoy books written for every level at any age, but when I seek out YA now it is often because I’m looking for this specific kind of friendship that I have trouble finding in adult fiction. The message being sent to me is that this kind of obsessive intimacy- deeper than mere friendship and more perfect than romantic love, yet not entirely divorced from desire, is reserved for the young. Something so intense is the terrain of teenagers. The mandate is that your life is a process by which you must funnel your varied attachments into neat and expected categories, that these fraught entanglements are something you “grow out of.” Guy Gavriel Kay says, “No!” He writes three people, not old yet but mature when they are struck by the lightening of their connection, and lets that connection be the defining one of their lives. The book places this love at an equal importance to the large machinations of history at play in the story- it is as significant as the lost great cities built and burned by men, as intense as the faith flaming across a conquered continent. When the brief time allowed for such love ends, you feel the loss like the death of an empire.

Hello!!! Can I please request a Fenrys x reader fic where they realise they’re mates during the war and all that but reader and Aedion are twins so Gavriel is also obviously her father and just how they deal with the messiness of the situation but also with lots of fluff from all sides? Thank you so much 💚💚💚
I LOVE this request; it took me a minute to figure out how to make it fluffy just because Empire of Storms is so intense but this is such a cool idea; I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it💜

Fenrys x Reader (ft. Daddy Gavriel)
Tumblr media
Your world flipped upside down when Adarlan conquered Terrasen. Managing to escape with your brother, Aedion, the two of you formed a plan to infiltrate the Kingdom of Adarlan, developing rebel forces for when you were reunited with your cousin, Aelin.
Aedion took over as general of the Bane, filling his ranks with those who sympathized with your cause, while you worked your way up in the palace as a servant. Your duties, ranging from cleaning rooms to becoming a handmaid to the Queen, provided great intel for Aedion that allowed the Bane to stage battles.
When Aelin returned, you aided in her rescue of Aedion, joining her and Rowan on their journey to Skull’s Bay from that point.
It was in Rolfe’s office when your world turned upside down. You stood alongside Rowan as Aelin pitched her deal to Rolfe to join forces against Erawan. And then the door opened, revealing two males who made your heartbeat stutter for different reasons.
You recognized your father immediately, and he you, when your tawny eyes locked with his. He stumbled forward, a gasp leaving his lips as you stared at each other. Rowan stepped protectively in front of you, one hand on your wrist as he stared down the famous Lion, the legendary member of Maeve’s cadre, Gavriel.
“Please, let me see her,” Gavriel pleaded with Rowan, his gaze struggling to meet yours around Rowan’s hulking form.
“Rowan, it’s fine,” you whispered. You hadn’t held the same animosity towards your father as your brother, Aedion had, as you always believed he had a reason for leaving you. This was your opportunity to learn it.
Rowan turned to you, his gaze softening at the hope in your eyes. “He is blood-sworn to Maeve. He can only deny her will to an extent, and I will not let him hurt you.”
Your eyes flicked to the other male in the room, losing your balance as you stumbled backward at the look in his eyes. Fenrys watched you, awe etched on his face as he, too, moved towards you.
Rowan growled, Aelin leaping up from Rolfe’s seat where she lounged as they moved in front of you in a protective stance.
“It’s okay,” Fenrys promised, his gaze never leaving yours. “She’s my mate.” Tears formed at your eyes, the instant connection you felt towards the striking male in front of you breaking your guard down.
“Please, Row,” you tugged against his grip, desperate to meet the two males you were sure would be the most important in your life.
Rowan looked down at you, pure fae instinct in his eyes as he turned to the members of his cadre, every bit the legendary warrior as which he was known. “What are your orders from Maeve?” he demanded.
Gavriel spoke first, his voice like something from a long-lost dream, a memory from a past life that you longed for. “We were ordered to find Lorcan and kill him. If you can help us fail in finding him, we can assist you for as long as possible. Please, Rowan, Aelin, let me meet her.”
After a long, tense moment, Rowan and Aelin nodded to each other, parting ways as you now saw clearly the two males ahead of you. Your father moved towards you first, his dark tattoos in contrast to his golden hair the first thing you noticed as you rushed towards each other. He was warm, broad, muscular arms pulling you into his lithe form as you wrapped your own around him. This is home, you thought, holding back the tears as you allowed yourself to simply feel.
Gavriel didn’t move, waiting until you reluctantly pulled away enough to look up at him. “I have so much to explain to you. So much that I wish I could take back...”
You shook your head, a small smile gracing your lips to silence him. “We will get to all of that - later. For now, I just want to know you,” you whispered, leaning up to press a kiss to your father’s cheek before turning your gaze to the male in the corner.
Breathing was difficult as you took in the extraordinary beauty of him. Blonde curls fell around bewildered, onyx eyes that locked in on you. The world spun around the two of you as his gaze held you in place. “My mate,” you whispered, moving towards him slowly, as though your feet moved of their own accord, your body drawn towards him.
Fenrys simply nodded, swallowing as his chest moved with each deep breath. A chuckle from where Rowan and Aelin stood drew the two of you from your trance, and you turned to see the amusement written on Rowan’s face. “Fen, I don’t believe I’ve ever seen you so stricken,” he teased.
You turned, enjoying the blush on the handsome male’s face. Biting your lip, you dared to bring a hand to the golden-brown skin of his cheek. With a slight giggle, you joked, “it’s nice to meet you, Fenrys.” He nodded, transfixed on you.
Gavriel cleared his throat, clearly refraining from his fatherly protective instincts as he leaned backwards slightly. “I’ve never... scented a mating bond quite so strong,” he noted, lip slightly curling as his glance flicked to Rowan and Aelin. They nodded in agreement, smiling encouragingly at you as they held their hands up, covering the scent from their noses.
“A strong bond, indeed,” Fenrys spoke softly, stepping forwards towards you as his fingertip grazed your jawline. A slight shift in movement from your father drew you out of the moment, stepping back as you giggled nervously at your newfound family, and mate.
Rolfe rolled his eyes, shooing the group of you out the door as Aelin sent him a wink. “Let’s go figure this out elsewhere,” Rowan grumbled, guiding you outside. The group settled at a pub downstairs, where you sat in between Gavriel and Fenrys, a deep peace settling through you as you enjoyed the presence of two males who cared about you more than you’d ever dreamed.

Can you write jealous Fenrys with some fluff at the end?🥰
Okay... this took a turn... I apologize but it did 😂
Jealous
He trusted you. There was not an ounce of fear in his heart that you would leave him. He knew you. Knew in ways no one did. No one could. No one would get to. But oh, did it grind Fenrys's gear, when he had to watch males twirling around you like moths around a glass of ale. Was his scent not there? Didn't they feel it lingering? The smell of a mate. The smell of a male that had her. Had her in more than one way.
But he had told himself that he was not going to become like those other territorial bastards. He was not gonna try to fuel his pride by jumping into pointless tassels over you. What was there to prove? You never entertained the males. You always came back to him.
"That girl of yours... Man, bet she rocks your world", a stranger clapped Fenrys on the shoulder as he walked by, barely standing on his feet. Lorcan let out a low laugh and Fenrys was quick to send him a death glare. "No, but tell us, how much does she rock your world?", Lorcan asked and it took all of his strength for Fenrys to not jump over the table and tackle Lorcan to the ground.
The uneasy tightness ripped at Fenrys's chest. It didn't help that your relationship was new too. Fenrys had known you for decades yes but only recently had you finally lowered your guards and took a step forward with him. So Fenrys, maker, and all the stars above, he didn't want to come up as possessive. But each and every cell in his body screamed in desire to keep you close.
To be able to touch you at any given moment. To be able to sense your presence near. To know. To know that he had finally found him forever. Had found his happiness in you.
His senses suddenly flood out. Bubbling over the top. The music got too loud. The laughter around him made him want to rip at his ears. Fenrys gripped the table tightly his fea hearing betraying him as all he could focus on now were males talking. "Look at her hips", "Can you imagine just how good she would look...", with that Fenrys jumps up. Hand ripping at the collar of his shirt. He looked like a lost pup, twisting and turning until he practically fell through the door. "Get, Y/N", Gavriel said coldly as he followed the boy. Lorcan raised to his feet in a heartbeat.
You had Lorcan's cloak on as you rushed through the street. Letting your senses guide you. The situation was scarcely explained to you by Lorcan, and you had indeed shown him a middle finger for teasing your boyfriend like that. But he had also been the one to say that all this could be because of a suppressed mating bond. A frenzy of emotions that reached its highest climax.
You eased a breath as you noticed Gavriel and Fenrys standing by the dock. Fenrys was pacing aimlessly. Hand in the air while Gavriel just stood there. A calming presence. A shore for the wave to crash on. "Fen...", you breathed out, his eyes instantly turned towards you but then his eyebrows crunched. "Take it off, that, that off", he stepped closer, trying to get hold of Lorcan's cloak that covered your body. A gesture with no bad intentions. Just the timing now was wrong.
You shrugged it off, letting it pool on the damp concrete. Gavriel stepped between the two of you, "I think this here might be...", he stated but you still walked closer to Fenrys. "Lorcan told me. I got this", you reassured the lion. Those suppressed frenzies were rare. Just as rare as mates hurting each other in an outburst of emotions. You reached for Fanrys who was breathing heavily. Guiding his arms to lay upon your body.
"I'm here", you muttered, "I'm with you", your eyes searched his. "They all...", Fenrys breathed out, eyes darting to the tavern. But you quickly guided his face towards you. "Ground yourself", you said softly. You laced your hands around his torso, melting into his strong chest. Fenrys let out a deep growl. His hands held onto your hips. The roaring in his head faded. Filled with the sensation of your heart beating.
You looked up to him, "I'm yours. Body and soul. They all can talk all they want", you stated firmly now. You needed him to believe it too. As much as you did. "Because even if the world was ending, I'd still be yours", you reached deep within yourself. Flowing deep within your senses where a bond you knew lurked was. Pulling at it softly. Awakening it. Wanting nothing more but to link your life to Fenrys's forever. The white wolf let out a deep sigh as that big black void filled with you. A feeling of you. He rested his forehead on yours. Breathing finally back to normal. You smiled at him sweetly. "I'm afraid I'm even more in the mood to rip them apart for their words now", Fenrys snickered but you only rolled your eyes. "On that note, I'll walk myself out", Gavriel chipped, making you both turn his way. Fenrys let out a low growl but you pulled at his hand, laughing.

You love going horseback riding through Oakwald Forest. The fresh air helps you think and calm your anxieties from the day. Sometimes Gavriel would go with you as a silent companion. Sometimes he’d walk beside you in his lion form. He could feel when you were stressed through the bond and reminds you to go on rides.
He always encouraged you to take breaks, saying you wouldn’t get good work done if you couldn’t focus. And as always, he was right. Throwing your pen down on your desk you stand and stretch. You had been working for too long and policies have started blending together.
You tug on the bond to get Gavriel’s attention, sending a message to tell him you were going for a ride. He flooded the bond with love. You could distantly hear him say, “Be careful, my heart. I’ll see you soon.”
Approaching your horse’s stall you heard Clara huff, scrapping her hoof against the hay that lines her stall. Peeking over the door you smile at her. “Hi girl, I brought you a treat.” You hold out an apple in the palm of your hand that Clara chomps down on immediately.
While she’s busy with her snack you start to brush Clara’s golden mane. She’s so beautiful, you could just stay here and brush her silky hair. The stable boys always insist on prepping her for rides but you like doing it yourself. It makes you feel like you did something productive.
Clara was a gift from Gavriel when you first started working in Aelin’s court. She’s well taken care of in the stables at the castle. And you love that you get to visit her whenever you want.
Strapping the saddle on her back you lead Clara out of the barn to the courtyard. Mounting her you lightly dig your heels into her sides to get her moving. Starting off at a walk you head off for Oakwald.
An hour into your ride you pull on Clara’s reigns bringing her to a stop. You look around confused. You should be at the lake by now. Where are you? Clara knows where she’s going, so why were you lost? You slip off the saddle to look around for landmarks that might tell you where you are.
A groan that sounded like a tree breaking echoed through the small space. You covered your ears waiting for it to be over. Darkness rolled in above the tree and the wind howled. Clara tensed, throwing her head back letting out a neigh that was practically a scream. She turned on her hind legs and started booking it out of the forest.
“Clara! No! Come back!” You start running after her until an invisible force hits you square in the chest knocking you to the ground. Gasping for breath you sit up on your knees. You whip your head around wildly looking for the source of your attacker.
A misty dark mass takes shape in front of you. It’s only discernible feature two white glowing eyes. Your eyes go wide, watching the darkness swirl in and out. You feel frozen. The darkness moves forming an arm, extending it toward you. Fingers separate and close around your throat. A chill runs through your body before your vision blurs and you fall into a deep sleep.
——
As Gavriel’s meeting with Rowan and his advisors, he pulls on the bond. It’s quite on your end. He tugs harder and floods the bond with concern and love. No response again. Worry takes over his features as he leans back in his chair, Gavriel’s knuckles turn white from how hard he’s clenching his knuckles.
He jumps a little at the feeling of Rowan’s hand on his shoulder. “What is it?” His tone hushed as the rest of the Cadre file in. “It’s y/n. She’s there but…I can’t feel her.” Rowan bites his lip in thought, a small frown forming.
Lorcan sits on Gavriel’s other side. “I have a bad feeling. Y/n never does this.”
“Do you want to ask if anyone in the stables has seen her?” “Please, thank you Fenrys.” The white wolf nods, leaving the room at a hurried pace. He’s like a son to Gavriel, meaning that he’s very protective of you. Aedion and Fenrys were the first two people Gavriel introduced you too. He knew both would go to the ends of the earth to protect you. You were growing to be a mother-figure for both of them so gods forbid any harm come to you.
While waiting for Fenrys to return Rowan and Lorcan talk him through where you could possibly be. He lists them all, talking through the steps you take and what you like to do.
Taking a break, Gavriel looks out the window and notices the late afternoon sun. It’ll be dark in a few hours. He wouldn’t be able to do anything if you weren’t home for dinner. He’s considering going out in his lion form to search for you when Fenrys comes barging back into the meeting room.
The young pups face is wild with rage and worry. “No one has seen her. And Clara isn’t in her stall.” He growls out. The three males turn to Gavriel, waiting for orders. Aedion comes flying into the room seconds later, slightly panting, his chest moving quickly. He could smell the fear and anger rolling of Fenrys as he ran through the castle.
“What’s going on? I saw Fenrys running and knew something was wrong.” “Y/n is missing. We don’t know where she is and no one has seen her.” Aedion’s eyes meet his father’s. Worry simmering in those Ashryver blue-greens. He stands straight, his hands clasped behind his back. “What do you want us to do dad?”
“Follow me.” He said storming out of the room and down to the stables. The Cadre followed, ready to follow his command.
The plan is to split up to search different sections of Oakwald that you like to explore. Lorcan and Aedion mounted their horses and headed east. Rowan transformed into a hawk to look overhead and covering as much ground as possible. Fenrys transformed into a wolf and headed west while Gavriel headed north to the lake.
He didn’t transform yet, he was just focused on getting as far as he could to find you. Gavriel squinted as he approached a clearing. A wall of darkness between trees separated a section from the rest of the forest. He heard rustling from all sides and drew his sword.
Rowan landed first, then Lorcan and Aedion emerged, and then Fenrys holding the reins of your horse. “Clara?” He whispered, reaching out to stroke her snout. “I found her wandering then she noticed me and pulled me back here.”
“My shadows found the wall a half mile that way. I sent them in to try and find her.” Gavriel felt the blood leave his face. His eyes went wide as he turned back to the swirling mass. Reaching out a reluctant hand, Gavriel touched the darkness. He expected resistance but his hand fell through. Stumbling a little he righted himself, taking a deep breath he formulated a new plan.
The bond was glowing making his protective fae instincts kick in. His mate was in danger and he had to go in there.
“Gavriel,” Rowan says cautiously. Before they could talk Gavriel out of his new plan he leapt into the darkness. Without thinking Fenrys and Aedion followed, leaving Rowan and Lorcan to keep watch.
Fenrys and Aedion flank Gavriel, drawing their own swords. “We stick together.” Gavriel says as he steps further into the woods. It feels like hours before there’s any sign of you. Gavriel sniffs the air picking up your scent.
He starts running until he’s skidding to a stop. Dropping to his knees Gavriel pulls you into his arms from your spot in the brush. He presses his ear to your chest to make sure your heart is still beating. The bond humming with joy at the fact you were reunited. Gavriel’s only focus now is to get you back to the castle.
——
When you came to your head was pounding, your vision swimming in and out. You let out a groan and you hear Gavriel scramble to sit on the edge of the bed. “My heart, are you alright? Can I get you anything?” “Water,” you croak out. He moves to grab the glass of water from the bedside table.
Helping you up Gavriel holds the glass to your lips. You gulp the water down like you’d never have any again. Letting the glass go you slump into Gavriel’s side.
“What happened?” Gavriel lays you back down, fluffing your pillows. “We aren’t exactly sure. Lorcan and Rowan found that phantom-thing and chased it down. They lost it but the guards are on the look out for it and Aelin has the little folk keeping their eyes out too. The healers checked you out and your ok, just cold for a while which scared me.”
You gave him a small smile, bringing your hand to cup his face. “I’m sorry I scared you.” “Hey, you don’t need to apologize. I’m sorry I didn’t find you sooner.” “But you did find me. And brought me home, like you always do.”
He let out a breathy chuckle, “Yeah, and I will for the rest of our lives.” You pull him closer to you for a kiss. You break apart at a soft knock on the door. Gavriel sighs, tilting his head back in annoyance. You giggle at him. “Fenrys and Aedion want to see you. They’ve been worried about you and want to see you.” You let out a small aww.
When you and Gavriel first started dating you jokingly called and treated Aedion and Fenrys sons. You are older than both of them so they viewed you as a mother figure, always coming to you for advice over Gavriel and hanging out with you when he was out on missions.
When you accepted the mating bond you asked Aedion if he would be ok with you officially adopting him, even though he’s an adult, you just wanted him to know that he was part of your family. Since the bond the two boys have been very protective of you.
“Let my boys in.” You sit up as Gavriel begrudgingly opens the door. You heard him give them a stern warning before they entered quieter than usual. “Hi y/n.” “Hi boys. Come, sit with me.” You pat the bed and they happily jump up.
Gavriel slides in next to you, a gentle arm, wrapping around your shoulder. You love moments like these where your family is together and safe. You squeeze Gavriel’s hand as a thank you. For bringing you home and always looking out for you.

Fenrys x Reader
You watched Rowan leap in between Aelin and Skull’s Bay, her eyes went wide. A heartbeat later she swung her arm away from him. Instincts bleating, you reacted, screaming for your men to MOVE. You lunged for the crew you had stationed near the young queen. The blast sounded, the shouting and splitting wood barely registered as you grabbed the nearest pirate and yanked him past you. The force of the eruption launched your body into the air.
You felt the searing pain in your leg before you hit the water. Your body tumbled in the chaos as you flung your arms around, trying to gain your bearings. You clenched your fists, the water around you steadied, allowing you to claw your way up to the surface. Fighting to get air in your lungs as you took in the destruction around you. Three Valg ships remained, and the Sea Dragon was reduced to rubble, floating on the waves. A breath of relief rushed out when you noticed most of your men survived, Rolfe hauling them onto Lysandra’s scaled back on the far side of the ruined ship.
A head of silver hair flashed in the corner of your eye. Rowan was cutting through the water, aiming for a reef not too far off. Remembering the sea wyverns, you swam for it too. Clamping your teeth on your lip as you paddled for the reef, the pain in your leg bellowed, slowing you down. The magic escaped your grasp as you tried to get the water to push you forward. Have you really run out already? It seemed too soon to be depleted, but this damn magic stuff was hard. You had to learn how to control it, clearly teaching yourself hasn’t worked.
Strong, calloused hands gripped your shoulder. “Grab on to me,” Gavriel, the lion shifter, on your left.
“I know how to swim, go help someone who needs it.” You ordered.
“You need it. You aren’t moving fast enough with that leg,” He pulled your arm around his shoulders, “Hold on.”
Pride stinging, you obeyed and held on to him as he swam toward his friend.
Rowan kept scanning the sea, even as he crouched to help pull you up onto the reef. Gavriel followed less than a moment later. You bit back a scream as you put weight on your leg. The sound broke free when you looked down to see a splinter of wood the size of your foot sticking out of your thigh. Rowan snapped his arms out to steady you as you teetered, his eyes never leaving the bay.
“I have to pull it out to heal it.” Gavriel’s calming but urgent tone drew your eyes away from the injury and to his tawny ones. You nodded.
Rowan muttered a thank you to the gods as he spotted Fenrys and Aelin making their way towards the reef, but still a ways out.
“Rowan,” He turned to the golden haired man at the firm tone. They stared at each other. Rowan’s chin dipped once, confirming something from their silent conversation. He wrapped one arm around your middle a heartbeat before Gavriel yanked the splinter out. The leg holding all your weight buckled, the prince behind you keeping you upright. The warrior in front of you gripped your thigh with his glowing hands, your blood coating them as he began to quickly heal your wound.
Adrenaline sparkled in your veins from the chaos. Aelin and Fenrys were swimming closer. The latter had been his magic to leap further, but they still weren’t close enough. Shifting your weight to your good leg, you tapped Rowan’s tattooed arm twice and told him to go. He dove into the water without hesitation and began swimming towards the female.
You squatted down to offer a hand and haul Aelin up. Gavriel’s grip on your thigh kept you from toppling over, though the pain surging in your thigh had black spots dancing in your vision. Rowan and Fenrys hauled themselves up, the prince immediately scanning Aelin for any injury. She waved him off with a hand.
Fenrys bent over, panting with his hands on his knees, and said to no one in particular, “I’m out.” Rowan gave him a single sharp nod.
“I’ll need to work on it again later, but you’re good for now,” Gavriel said as he rinsed his hands in the sea. You nodded your thanks and tested your weight on it. Still tender, you’d likely have a limp for a while, but not at risk of bleeding out. You’d take it.
Fenrys slowly straightened, his hands moving to support his lower back as he took a deep breath, “Don’t you have water magic? Shouldn’t you be able to heal yourself with the water and healing magic tendencies?”
“Pirates aren’t exactly flush with magic tutors. Self taught, and shit’s harder than it looks. For lack of a better term, water magic is slippery, I can’t get a good enough grip on it to control it like that.”
The male smirked and opened his mouth to reply but a loud crash and roar had everyone’s attention snapping to it. Lysandra was facing off against two sea wyverns.
After the shifter killed the two beasts, a collective stomach drop could almost be heard as three full grown sea wyverns came to avenge their young. Lysandra, Dorian and Aedion defeated them in the most incredible battle you had ever witnessed. Fenrys had to steady you with a hand on your elbow as the battle raged - your adrenaline ebbing, the pain in your leg became more prevalent. As soon as Lysandra headed towards the shore, your group on the reef dove for the beach. Aedion was already with Lysandra when you all arrived. Fenrys and Gavriel halted by the tree line while Aelin surged forward, the silver prince on her heels. You stopped somewhere in the middle, giving them space.
“What happened?” Aedion asked, eyes trained on his cousin, “What the hell happened out there?”
“I’d also like to know what the hell that was!” You echoed, limping closer.
“Now is not the time.” Rowan snapped, looking at both you and the general, his green eyes lingering on Aedion.
Your temper surged, “No? When would be the proper time for me to be angry about the lives of my men? Give me a timeframe, you godsdamn bastard!” The terror of the battle wearing off, giving way to your fury at what happened on that ship. Attempting to stomp through the sand to Aelin, your limp hindering the threat you tried to present.
Fenrys cut off your path with little effort and growled in warning, your blood reaching a boiling point at the sound.
Through your gritted teeth, you snarled right back, “Keep growling, dog, and your pelt will be the new rug in my cabin.”
“Enough.” Gavriel commanded, the growling ceased but your eyes stayed locked on the onyx ones. The shimmering you saw in them was enough to reignite the rage you were trying to stuff down.
You lunged at him, hands raised to wrap around his throat, but faltered when you had to balance on your bad leg. His hands that flung out to grip your wrists doing as much to hold you up as they did to keep your hands off his neck.
Wrenching them back, you turned back towards the scene on the beach.
“I’ll stay,” Aedion said. “You deal with Rolfe.”
Aelin and Rowan headed off to do as much, Aedion remained by the shifter’s side. You heard Gavriel offer to grab supplies and stay with them. Having no desire to hang around the awkward family reunion, you hobbled back to town.
Fenrys followed a few steps behind you, though he could have easily made it back to his lodgings without your pace slowing him down.
“I’m perfectly capable of walking back to town by myself,” You gritted, keeping your focus ahead of you.
“Oh I’m sure, but Gavriel will never let me hear the end of it if I left you to stumble home alone.”
“Leash a little tight, pup?”
He chuckled, “Another dog joke? I gave you too much credit, thinking you were far more clever than you clearly are.”
“Think of me often, do you?”
“Darling, I only think of you often enough to picture besting you when sparring, I delight in your anger.” The male now walking by your side.
“If you wanted to challenge me so badly, you could have just asked. I’d love the chance to filet you.” Your smile edged with distaste. “I’ll meet you at dawn in the courtyard.” You batted your lashes.
“Not unless you’re fully healed. It will be too easy with the injury, I want it to last longer than a minute.”
You chuckled, “Don’t have much experience holding out?”
Fenrys started just a fraction, blinking before a smirk grew on his face. “No complaints in my immortal, indulgent life.”
You rolled your eyes, sidestepping the glint in his eyes at the turn in conversation. “I’d argue that this injury would put us on equal footing.”
“You do realize I’m a fae warrior with over a hundred years of battle experience, right?” His golden brows rose.
You glanced sidelong at him, one brow cocked, “And I’m just a stupid little half-breed with less than ten years of training from pirates, right?”
“That’s not what I meant,” Fenrys blurted, halting and facing you.
You shrugged, “It’s ok, it’s more fun when you underestimate me anyway. Makes the victory even more…” You trailed off, turning your head to him. You cocked your head, akin to a predator assessing prey. Your purposefully half lidded eyes met his before sliding down to his lips. A subtle, almost subconscious darting of your tongue to the corner of your lips, delicately swiping just a little over your top lip. Driving it home with a hitch in your breath, gazing into his eyes again, you breathed, “Delicious.”
Fenrys stood impossibly still, but the smallest catch in his breath and the change in his scent gave it away.
You laughed and faced forward again, “Too easy.” You silently swore as your thigh burned, slowing your exit.
“Alright, I’ll concede that one. Looking forward to paying it back, honey,” He drawled, three strides putting him back on pace with you again.
“You’re gonna have to work a lot harder to gain my interest, mutt.”
Fenrys grinned. “Interest? No, I meant the upperhand.” You rolled your eyes.
A block and a half, a few more snide remarks and you stood in front of your meager lodgings. Barely more than a bedroom, bathing room and kitchen, but it served its purpose when you were in between sailings. If he had any thoughts on the building, Fenrys thankfully didn’t share them.
“Ok, you saw me home. Shoo,” You waved a hand at him.
He looked up at the second level window. “Can you manage the stairs?”
Eyes closed, you sighed, “I’ve done far more with far worse. Now leave.”
Fenrys shrugged, and walked away. He half turned his head, still walking, “Ocean Rose courtyard, an hour before dawn. Gavriel can fix up your leg before we start swinging.” You grunted and headed into the building. Prick.

Elorcan:
She was almost to the first of the saddled birds when a voice said behind her, “You should have ignored him.” Elide halted, finding Gavriel following. “Pardon me?” The Lion’s usually warm face was grave—disapproving. “You might as well have kicked a male already down.” Elide hadn’t uttered a cross word to Gavriel in all the time she’d known him, but she said, “I don’t see how this is any of your business.” “I have never heard Lorcan apologize for anything. Even when Maeve whipped him for a mistake, he did not apologize to her.” “And that means he earns my forgiveness?”
Elucien:
I knew I wasn’t truly angry with her, not angry with anyone but myself, but I said, “You couldn’t say a single word to him? A pleasant greeting?” Elain only stared at the steaming kettle as she set it on the stone counter. “He brought you a present.” Those doe-brown eyes turned toward me. Sharper than I’d ever seen them. “And that entitles him to my time, my affections?”
Elorcan:
She held open her arms, and Lorcan’s breath heaved out of him as he pulled her against him. “I hear,” he said onto her hair, “that you’re to thank for Erawan’s destruction.” Elide withdrew from his embrace, leading him from that room of sadness and candlelight. “Yrene is, ” she said, walking until she found a quiet spot near a bank of windows overlooking the celebrating city. “I just came up with the idea.” “Without the idea, we’d be filling the bellies of Erawan’s beasts.”
Elucien:
Elain fell into step beside me, peering at Lucien. He noticed it. “I heard you made the killing blow,” he said. Elain studied the trees ahead. “Nesta did. I just stabbed him.”
Elorcan:
“A bastard-born nobody,” she went on. “Did you think I’d sully myself with you?” “I think you might be my mate,” he rasped.
Elucien:
Lucien’s hands slackened at his sides. His voice broke as he whispered to Elain, “You’re my mate.” “I am Lucien. Seventh son of the High Lord of the Autumn Court.” And a whole lot of nothing.
Elorcan:
Lorcan, with his unending cold rage and a talent for killing gifted to him by Hellas himself, never allowed himself to lose. Battles, riches, females—Lorcan always won, at any cost.
Elucien:
“Autumn Court males have fire in their blood—and they fuck like it, too.”

Broken Promises - Fenrys Moonbeam - Part 2
A/N: Thank you for all the love on the first part of this! A few of you have asked for a part 2 so here it is! I hope you enjoy it!❤️
W/C: 3K
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
"We can't send Elide in there alone!" You hissed at Rowan and Gavriel, Lorcan behind you, nodding his agreement. "Why not?" Elide demanded, "I can do this!" She didn't look at Lorcan. "You can't move quick enough if you have to, Gavriel's magic won't stretch that far!" You told her, throwing your hand towards Doranelle. She opened her mouth to retort but you carried on, "You're going to walk into a city of Fae and start asking about one they trained to be lethal." You gestured to the three males with you, Rowan cringed.
Elides eyes blazed as they met yours, "Then what do you suggest?" She all but spat at you. "Same plan, but I go in and ask about Fenrys." She hesitated, contemplating, but it was Lorcan that spoke, "No." You whirled on him, "No? You want to send her in there?" He didn't have a chance to respond before Gavriel did. "Fenrys revealed more to Maeve than you think when he snarled at her on the beach when she threw you, showed too much with the gentleness he picked you up with." You met the lion's tawny eyes as he continued, "If Maeve is there, and word gets to her that a human is in Doranelle asking for Fenrys she'll know it's you, she'd have marked your face as a way to keep him in line." You sighed and turned to Rowan, "We need to get them both out, we can't leave Fenrys behind." Rowan searched your eyes, "He won't leave without Connall and Connall won't leave." Lorcan said quietly, Elide glared at him as she took your hand, "We won't leave him behind, Y/N, but Aelin is the priority." Rowan's tone told you there was no room for argument.
"Where do you think you're going?" You sighed, "Leave it alone, Gavriel, I'm begging you." He shook his head as he walked out of the shadows, "It's the middle of the night Y/N and you're heading directly to that path that'll take you into Doranelle, so what's your plan?" Your eyes blazed, "I'm going to get him back." Gavriel raised an eyebrow. "I'm going to ask for an audience with the Queen and then I'm going to bargain for his freedom." He ran his hands down his face. "What are you going to bargain?" You raised an eyebrow this time "Myself. She'll know my family name, the power that lies within it." He paled, "You can't be serious?" He asked, "I'm deadly serious, she won't give up Aelin but she might give up Fenrys and then there will be four of you to go and save Aelin, one who might even know where she is." He shook his head, "This is not the way, Y/N." You threw your hands up, "I can't just sit around and do nothing!" He pulled you into his chest, "Stick with the plan, we'll get them both back."
So Elide went, and she did better than anyone of you could've imagined, coming back with not only Cairn's location, but an ally as well. You made Rowan wait, while Lorcan and Gavriel scouted, while a plan was formed.
Rowan had moved early, you supposed it was a miracle you had gotten him to wait this long. They had tried to convince you to stay in the clearing with Elide but you outrightly refused, so there you stood with Lorcan as the young Queen emerged. Lorcan was moving towards her before you'd even really registered what had happened or what was going on around you, and then there was a lion running next to her, Gavriel, and a Hawk above their heads. She collapsed as she reached you and Rowan was there in an instant, but she only said one word, one word that nearly made you sick, that cracked your heart. "Fenrys." He was still in there somewhere.
You ran, straight towards a camp you knew you wouldn't make it out of, but he was in there and you wouldn't leave him, Rowan had Aelin now and you didn't believe he'd risk going back to Fenrys. Rowan caught you around the waist and held you by your shoulders. "No." You pushed against him, "I have to go back for him, I can't leave him Rowan, I can't leave him!" You weren't sure when you started crying. "We aren't leaving him, Gavriel and I are going to get him right now, I need you to go with Lorcan, keep Aelin safe for me, I promised we wouldn't leave him." You searched his eyes, then Gavriel's who said, "He'd hate that you're crying over him, Y/N, we'll bring him back." You nodded and Rowan let you go, the two were back in the camp before you'd reached Lorcan and Aelin.
You always saw Aelin as strong, someone who would never break, she was the shore on which the waves broke, but watching her claw at herself trying to remove the irons was heartbreaking. Elide tried her best to keep Aelin calm but nothing worked and they couldn't get them off. Rowan emerged from the trees, a white wolf you'd have known anywhere limp in his arms, blood covering his fur. He placed him down gently and was at Aelin's side in a second.
"Is he?" You asked Gavriel as you approached the wolf. "No," he said grimly, "But it appears he broke the blood oath on his own, he doesn't have long, Y/N." Fresh tears fell down your cheeks. You murmured to him quietly while the others worked to free Aelin, Fenrys didn't so much as crack an eye. You felt a heat on your back and threw a look over your shoulder, Aelin, covered in flame, was walking towards you, no, not you, Fenrys. Gavriel pulled you out of the way as the flame engulfed Fenrys as well, as she knelt and cut her palm, as she offered him the blood oath and commanded him to live. His eyes opened and they blinked at one another, a silent language only the two of them knew.
It was days, maybe more before he acknowledged you, he'd followed Aelin in wolf form out of the clearing, had followed her into the cave, had slept next to her, had sat at her feet in the boat taking you to safety, he hadn't looked at you once. Elide kept glancing between the two of you, raising an eyebrow in a silent question that you didn't want to answer, because no, you weren't okay but you felt like you had no right to feel like that considering the unspeakable trauma the two of them had been through together but it was like he had forgotten you existed, maybe he had, maybe after everything they had been through you were all but a stranger to him now. Your heart clenched uncomfortably in your chest and your hand pressed the spot, willing it to loosen. "You okay, Y/N?" Gavriel asked gently, nothing but concern written on his face. You didn't get the chance to answer, Aelin had asked for the boat to stop, so it did and you were following her, Rowan, Fenrys and Gavriel into a tomb.
You told yourself it didn't matter, that you shouldn't be upset, you'd only come to make sure he was alive, you'd done that and as soon as you were back you'd set off to find Dorian and you'd leave any involvement with fae males behind as you shoved gold and jewels into your bag from your spot behind the tomb, hidden from the others. He'd told you on the beach that anything you thought he felt for you was pathetic, that he'd not meant his promises. That didn't stop the tears that fell without your permission when you heard his voice again, "I thought we'd need more pockets." You clasped your hands over your mouth to stop the sob that was crawling up your throat. Facing him in wolf form was one thing, but actually seeing his face again would be another. Gavriel came into view, his face morphing into shock as he took you in, you shook your head at him urgently as he opened his mouth to ask you what was wrong, instead he sat next to you and pulled you into his side, continuing to fill your bag with his other hand as you silently cried into his shoulder.
Elide was instantly on her feet when she saw your face when you emerged from the tomb, followed by Fenrys and Gavriel, you shook your head at her once and took your seat next to her, Fenrys taking the one opposite, still he didn't acknowledge you. In fact, you were halfway back across the ocean before he acknowledged you for the first time.
Sleep had been alluding you since Fenrys had been taken, you'd grown so used to his presence, whether as a male at your side or on the floor of your cabin as a wolf, or curled around you in the Marshes, you'd grown accustomed to the feeling of safety he brought with him. Instead of spending another night tossing and turning in your stuffy cabin you rolled out of your bunk and left as quietly as possible so you didn't disturb Elide and closed the door softly behind you, as usual at the end of the small row of cabins, a white wolf slept outside the captain's quarters where Rowan and Aelin slept and you fought the urge to scoff, you had no right to be angry and hurt you told yourself. They went through hell together and he was protecting his queen, as he should and you took yourself to the deck.
Legs through the bars, sea spray hitting your feet you let your heart hurt, you let yourself feel what you had been feeling for Fenrys and you let yourself mourn it's loss, you didn't hear him approach, you had no idea he was there until he wrapped a cloak around your shoulders and sat next to you. He said nothing, so you took the first step. "Why can't you look at me anymore?" He said nothing. "I understand it was all a lie, that you didn't mean any of it, but do you really hate me that much?" He said nothing. You tried to swallow the lump in your throat and force away the tears lining your eyes, "I don't understand why you played this game with me, was it fun for you? To break me like this?" Your voice cracked and your tears betrayed you, the silence hanging between the two of you was awkward in a way it had never been.
"I hope you can heal, Fenrys, from whatever was done to you. You didn't deserve any of it and I don't expect you to tell me, I just wanted to say that, before we get back and go our separate ways." He spoke then, "Separate ways?" You nodded. "I came after you, I should've stayed with Dorian but I came after you, so when we get back, I'll set off to find him again. I'm not needed here and I'm certainly not part of this court." He repeated your words, "You came after me?" You nodded again. "Damn near walked into Doranelle and demanded an audience with Maeve, I was going to bargain for your freedom." He paled, just like Gavriel had, "What were you going to offer her?" You stared at the side of his face, "The only thing I had, myself. She'd have known my family name, wouldn't have been able to resist it." His hands curled into fists, "Family name?" He asked, almost whispering, "Perrington," He gasped. "After I was born, in an unusual act, Dorian's father kept my mother and I at the castle, claiming his wife missed her friend. They never married my mother and father, Perrington had no claim over my mother and I, not against the King's wishes." You scrambled to explain, "I'm not one of them, at least, I don't think so, but it would've been enough, I hoped it would be enough." He faced you then, stealing the air in your lungs, "Valg princess or not, you do not trade yourself for me, ever." Without waiting for you to respond, he walked away.
Anielle, Chaol's home, you wondered to yourself if he was here, if he'd healed, he'd clearly managed to convince them to send armies. Silver lined your eyes as you walked through the tent flap Gavriel held open for you. "Y/N," Chaol breathed in shock, you looked between him and the pretty woman who stood next to him, rings on both their fingers. "Hello, old friend!" You grinned as he stood and the tears fell, he opened his arms and you threw yourself into them. "I knew you were too stubborn to stay in that chair!" You sobbed into his neck, he pulled you away gently, "All thanks to Yrene," He smiled, gesturing to the pretty woman next to him, "My wife." He beamed. "It's lovely to meet you, Y/N, I've heard so much about you!" She offered you her hand but you pulled her into a hug, "Thank you, Yrene, welcome to the family!" She laughed, "I needed a sister, between Chaol and Dorian it was always boy stuff!"
The battle was won, you could tell that much. You'd followed Lorcan and Gavriel down a siege tower and had stayed on the field, an arrow to the shoulder had taken you to the ground but it was the sword to the gut that kept you there. You turned your head to see Elide on Chaol's horse take off across the field, darkness crept into your vision, you'd never see Dorian again, never meet Chaol's child, you'd never know if Fenrys would come around again. A single tear slid down your face and as oblivion took you, you could've sworn you heard Fenrys on the battlements above, "Where is Y/N? Where is she?!"
Much to your surprise, you woke again, in a tiny little room, on the most uncomfortable cot you'd ever laid on. A weight on your thigh drew your attention, a head of golden hair was resting on it, you couldn't see the face but you knew who it was and by the sound of his breathing you knew he was asleep. You reached out a tentative hand and twirled the strands that had come loose from his braid through your fingers. He was here. A while later, he stirred, his head turning to face you as his eyes cracked open, relife washing over his face. "Welcome back, sleepy head, good dreams?" You teased and cracked a half smile, "Well you were in them," you waved a hand at him, "Must've been a nightmare then, if I was there." He sat up and rolled his powerful shoulders, "Never, how are you feeling?" You shrugged, "Sore, it was a terrible experience, I don't recommend it." Fenrys snorted out a laugh and despite yourself you beamed, you'd missed this with him, the easy banter, the teasing, it was almost like it was before.
"I owe you an apology, Y/N, I haven't been fair to you." You waved your hand at him again, "It's fine, it's done, it doesn't matter." He took the hand you'd waved in his. "It does matter, I hurt you, therefore it matters, I never lied to you, Y/N, I meant the promises I made you, when Aelin and I got out, I couldn't think straight, I'd watched them take her apart and put her back together day after day, I watched Maeve make my brother kill himself, then you were there and it was hard to believe it was real, that we were out and safe and that despite all I did on that beach to make you hate me, you came anyway."
His thumb was rubbing circles on the back of your hand and you leant towards him, ignoring the pain it caused you and cupped his face, your thumb wiping away the tears that ran down his face. "I heard you, in the vaults, I heard you crying and I knew it was because of me, Gavriel spotted me coming over and shook his head, so I left you with him, he was always the best of us anyways, but you, you have every right to feel hurt by what I've done, how I've handled things," He was rambling now but you didn't have it in you to stop him, "I was terrified that first night in the marshes, when I figured out that what I felt for you was more than a fleeting crush on a pretty girl, watching you sit that close to Dorian, and watching him pull you into his side, and all I could think was, how do I compare to a King that could literally give you the world, I had nothing to offer my mate other than a blood oath to a tyrant queen-" You cut him off, "Mate?" He nodded, "I knew for sure when Maeve made me walk away from you, I could feel the pain you were feeling, flowing into me like a stream, I felt your heart break, Y/N."
He wasn't looking at you again, so despite the pain in your body, you sat up and crawled across the cot to him, you wrapped your hands around his neck and pulled yourself into his lap. "She couldn't know how I felt about you, I couldn't let her have you, I figured if I could keep you at arm's length until we manage to kill her, I'd be able to keep you safe." You turned his head towards you, "I don't want you to keep me at arm's length, keep me safe at your side, apparently, I'm not very good at this battle thing, I'm safer with you, Fenrys, and I'll always come and find you." You could feel his breath on your lips, you watched him flick his eyes between yours and your lips, "Do it Fenrys, kiss me, please?" He groaned and gave in, kissing you desperately, you met him stroke for stroke, when he pulled away your cheeks were flushed, "No more battles for you, okay?" He asked, "Okay Fen, I promise."
