Give me TV shows with gay characters.
And no, I don’t mean two characters that are written to be purposefully misleading (*cough cough* 9-1-1, I’m looking at you), I mean two characters that are in love with each other.
And guess what? People will flock to your program because thats what they want to see.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m sick of the trope that gay people can’t hold down a relationship, or that they’ll inevitably die before the end.
That, and the fact that they don’t even have to make the happy gay couple the focal point of the show! Make them secondary characters for all I care, but writers and producers need to stop making the gay characters as the “others” and setting them so far apart from the other happy couples on the show that it becomes very obvious what they’re doing.
Take Agron and Nasir from Spartacus for example. The show runners didn’t have to keep them both, but they did. They killed off every single other couple on that show except for the gay one. And people liked it. They liked seeing two gay men who loved each other and had a happy ending.
Or Drew and Rick from Nightshift. Same thing as Spartacus, they could have quite easily killed off either one of them, or had something horrible and devastating happen, but no! They adopted a kid together, they got engaged, they celebrated each others achievements.
It was realistic and it was good. Lets do that more.

I cannot help but notice while reading All for the game series that there is so much resemblance between Andrew Minyard and Laurent of Vere from Captive Prince series.
CaPri is one of my favorite series of all time and Laurent is my favorite character from the series obviously🥲. I am just in second book of AFTG and I am absolutely in love with Andrew🥰
I feel Neil and Damen are parallels and so is Andrew and Laurent.
