do you have any tips on drawing pokemon in your own style, but still making them identifiable as pokemon? i'm ok at pokemon, but not great at fakemon or type swaps, and yours are so gorgeous!

HI I LITERALLY FORGOT ASKS EXISTED SO THIS IS INCREDIBLY LATE WOOPS

i think my art style has always been pretty pokemon-adjacent because i've basically been drawing only pokemon stuff since i was like 6 lmao, so i just grew up assimilating the style into my brain. everything else i do branched off from there! so basically im not sure how i do this, it kinda just happened? but heres some thoughts anyway!

for drawing official pokemon in your own style:

i feel like a really important/distinctive element of pokemon designs is their shapes and silhouettes. this probably sounds really vague but maybe try breaking the design down into simpler shapes that are still recognizable, and then change those shapes up and push them more towards your personal style and how you like to draw!

this will also help you get a feel for pokemon design tropes like common shapes and proportions, which you can use for fakemon stuff

for authentic-ish fakemon:

study official designs to see how they tackle certain design elements and use them as reference specifically take note of the shapes and amount of details that are used. as an example, take a look at how rillaboom, gogoat, and trevenant approach leaf clumps. they're all pretty similar, green blobs with rounded points around them, with a small amount of details inside them to convey their bushiness. but also remember that there are some style differences across different generations. earlier gens tend to be a bit more realistic when it comes to fur detailing or musculature, whereas later gens are more streamlined and simplified in comparison. its up to you what aesthetic you want to have!

keep designs relatively simple (generally) early gen pokemon were all designed as sprites first, so they were limited by the amount of details they could cram into a tiny box. nowadays this limitation isn't a thing anymore but i think the idea is still a good thing to keep in mind. even stuff that you'd expect to be really detailed gets a bit abstracted and simplified down, florges's flowers and autumn sawsbuck's leaves for example. not saying you can't ever have complex designs though, which leads me to the last points:

oftentimes these "rules" can and will be broken! none of these are really rules, break them if it helps the design! for example, ultra beasts are literally extradimensional alien things, so they benefit from breaking conventions. a lot of the bigger and more complex legendaries are designed to stand out from regular pokemon, so you can look at it and understand that its some divine creature that people tell stories about and worship.

and finally, don't stress over these "rules" too much, there's really no right or wrong way to design stuff, just have fun with it! also some other random thoughts:

the usual character design stuff is always pretty applicable - sharp and angular tends to mean meaner and tougher looking things, round tends to be more friendly and soft

faces and eyes are really important for conveying personality. they also go a long way when it comes to a design's relatability or friendliness, and pokemon are supposed to be your magic animal friends after all. that doesn't mean everything should have cute big eyes and smiles though, in general you'd just want them to be expressive and easily readable. there's a reason why most of the ultra beasts have very weird or no faces at all, as that makes them less human-like and more alien. also have this giant pokemon eye chart to refer to when you need ideas! (if someone can update it for gens 7 and 8 i will forever be in your debt)

I’ll get to those Magic Crafter Dragons I sweeeear But first, fun stuff from Discord. Dunno who made the original, it was just posted on a server, but yeet I did it anyway First of all, I don’t play a lot of games. I like games and the idea of them. I enjoy people playing stuff, I love watching others play. It’s that little sibling culture. But lemme toss a word or few about all of these. Though first of all, I only own 4 of the 8 games listed and even still I’ve only played 3 of them xD R.I.P. Pokemon Cafe Mix - The game is just Super Cute. Like oh my god Aesthetics! Adorable, every pokemon looks so nice and I just want to go to the cafe and taste everything and just chill. Please. It looks so cozy and relaxing. Gameplay is fairly simple too. Sometimes things seem a bit BS but in one way or another I’ll get through every stage etc. so it’s not too bad. Most of the time relaxing, can be addicting because of how simple things are. But really I love the game and I hope one day they’ll add more of the pokemon I like xD Buizel is my current favourite <3 It’d be nice seeing Mienshao or Mienfoo for one, maybe Glameow as it doesn’t get a lot of attention. We got Gogoat, but I wouldn’t mind a Sawsbuck or Deerling Pokemon Black 2 - To keep the Pokemon trend going, this is my fave out of the mainline games. I’ve been a fan ever since the first generation, I’m older than Gen 1 at that. But yeah, we did buy games but Nintendo stuff was too expensive and so I never really got to play those growing up. Black 2 was the first game I ever bought, for myself, with my own money. It was my first game and I loved it dearly. Still do and man I’d Love to replay it, but the curse of only 1 save file is cruel. I don’t want to restart my first ever save file. Currently I have no way of transferring anything over and I even have a Shiny Gothorita there (as underwhelming as it is, it was my first ever shiny). I love these games~~ Lots of different pokemon to choose from, great story, the fact that it’s a sequel is so freaking cool and unique I Love It So Much. Of course it’d be cool to have some extra things to do in it, like cleaning my badges, contests would be cool, I loved the mining stuff in Gen 4 when I got to try it on my friend’s Platinum save file as a kid. Speaking of, Gen 4 games would probably be my favourites, if I ever had the chance of owning and playing any fully. They have soooo much to do in them! Gen 5 is good and certainly up there in faves, but bruh, Gen 4 had all sorts of extra stuff, especially Platinum, and in HG/SS you had Pokemon following you like bruh that’s Crazy and I’d love to have that for a game I own, it’s like a dream Honorable mentions to Mystery Dungeon and Gen 6′s Pokemon Y for some grand memories. Firstly Pokemon Y, the second game I ever owned I think, great fun. I played that game for hooooooooours and it’s the only Pokemon Game that I’ve both played as a Nuzlocke and actually reset to play again. Also the first gen where I actually really got into competitive stuff, breeding for natures and stuff, and I’ve caught so many shinies in Y and Omega Ruby (mostly Y, OR has 1 shiny in Pidove, while Y has Ninetales, Pachirisu, Burmy, Gligar, and perhaps some other ones I caught/hatched myself). Mystery Dungeon games get a mention for having cool stories and I like the idea of the personality test and stuff. I’ve never played or owned any of these games, but I’ve watched Marriland play a handful of the games and currently am enjoying MDB playing through the first games in the series. Also a quick bloop on Colosseum being Cool as heck, and Battle Revolution gets a shoutout for looking so freaking good, having amazing music and making me search up videos with my favourite pokemon and just looking and watching hundreds of videos just because they looked so nice

Fire Emblem has to be the 2nd series of games I’ve gotten the most into. Although I’m a fairly new fan and my experiences and knowledge are limited, I do still enjoy the series and games - both old and new - a bunch. I only own Awakening, Conquest and 3 Houses, but I’ve again watched others play the past games a bunch, so I have some knowledge and memorable moments from those games too. Now I haven’t actually gotten myself to play 3 Houses yet, I’ve seen playthroughs of the game already and know the story etc. But yeh. Still, I’d say that I’ll probably like 3 Houses more than Awakening and Conquest. Awakening is nostalgia galore for me, but it does have its things with the story and characters and stuff. It’s nice, but I dunno, I just feel 3 Houses has an edge on it in some way. Maybe it’s just... Less controversial? Less Flame Wars? Maybe? Fates games, well, we all know the big glaring thing here. The story. And some of the characters suffer from this too. I kinda do wish that the Player had a biiiit more control in how the story went and played out, like I feel you definitely could have saved Scarlet in some way still, and all that. But eh, there’s enough stuff for me to go and prefer 3 Houses over it. And yes, I like choosing the members of my team and playing however I like, so giving me the ability to class my characters however I want is going to be a mistake as I’ll just make everyone a mounted unit and get destroyed but hey! Options :2 Variety :22 Great tiiiiimes~ Also it’s Blue Lions for me, Golden Deer Second Now for the games I don’t own. I chose Radiant Dawn because the Tellius games are just so good. I love the character in them, the story is pretty solid and the worldbuilding is cool too :2 I like both of the games, and while Path of Radiance is more coherent and doesn’t give split the characters up a bunch, Radiant Dawn has More of the great characters :2 Yes I know, not all of them are as fleshed out and thought out as the first game’s characters, but yo I still love them. I love a good continuation to a story. I love a ‘hey maybe it wasn’t as Black & White as we were made to believe’ twist. Also just hella good memories from watching BigKlingy play these games. The audience memed Aran to the final levels. We did it, he did so well, Aran deserved to be there xD Radiant Dawn also brings us Nailah, who is just. Yeah, you speak to me on so many levels, I’m easily readable. But also, woman, wolf, strong, yasss~~ Also I love the idea of the Jaegan character being a Thief/Assassin. That’s just so different and cool to me after all these Horse Units. And I’m the one guy who likes Levail and would love to see more of him. Give us more of Levail, the man who almost made it to being playable. Man. Levail is probably the one reason I’d pick Radiant Dawn over Path of Radiance xD The other game I’ve watched BigKlingy play through (and that’s my only experience on that game) is Sacred Stones. Pretty solid game all in all. Story, characters, but speaking of that story, if you really think about it, it’s Hella Dark, and that’s actually kinda cool in a way. I’m not that into dark stories, but here it worked. Also watched PhoenixMaster1′s playthrough on the Echoes game. I do like the game, if i find it one day I Might buy it but I’m not like in a hurry to get it. It was cool though, different for reasons but hey~ Also, Berkut, yes. I’m one of those people who like this angry man. But come on, he was really good xD Spyro I’ve already talked about in my lengthy little thing that I’ll get to continuing eventually xD But yes, I freaking love Spyro, my childhood, still very enjoyable experience full of great memories Metroid Fusion - Oh boy here come the nostalgia~ I’ve actually never played any Metroid games myself. I got introduced to the series in the early 2010s through youtube videos. I’m fairly sure it was me looking through dozens and dozens of Top 10 videos, several of which were on ‘the scariest bosses’, either unexpectedly scary or something else. But guess what, Nightmare from Fusion was in there, and I Think the person in the video said something on not wanting to even show the final forms of Nightmare’s face because it was that horrifying to them. And honestly? The fact that they didn’t show how bad it got, mixed with my morbid curiosity and woop, here I go~ Down the Metroid rabbithole where I watched a lot of videos on people fighting Nightmare and the other bosses in the game, eventually going into watching full run-throughs of the game and enjoying my time. Game looked pretty good, soundtrack was really nice too. And so I ended up on listening to a lot of the game series’ music and getting more familiar with the other games and the lore too. Learning to know that Samus was a lady was also hella badass. Fusion started it all for me, and while Super Metroid is cool, people also just play it a loooot, especially the Speedrunners, there’s also plenty of hacks based on that game and yeah I get it the game is Good, but that makes Fusion all the more special to me~ Devil May Cry 3 - Ok so again, I’ve not played any DMC games myself. This one again though is nostalgia ocean for me~ 2010 or such, I’m on some forum, said forum has a forum game based around songs or such and someone links one from this game. I Think it was the Doppelganger battle theme, or then I just found that one and listened to it for hours among the other battle themes these games have because they’re soooo gooood~~ DMC 4 was fairly new at that time, but I remember Gredo’s and Agnus’ themes being up there in songs I listened to a lot too. My experiences and stuff on this series was fully based on the songs, images on said songs, bits and pieces of the cutscenes of these games I saw and comments I read. I didn’t get too deep into DMC back then though, but I did have a bit of knowledge here and there, even if my idea of the stories in all the games was, well, I wouldn’t call it warped, but I definitely had imagined the story going differently to how things actually went xD Still, as a few years back I returned to DMC out of that feeling of nostalgia, and discovered DMC 5 had Just been released, boi, I was In. And I watched through cutscene compilations, playthoughs and what have you on all the games (Except for DmC, boot to you ReBoot), and it was quite the hype time~ I enjoy the chracters, the story that there is around them, and just how carefree and fun stuff can be. The party sure did get crazy~ Lost Dimension - The last game I have on the list there. This might be a weird one and I get that yeah. How many have even heard of this game? I sure wouldn’t have ever known of it without BigKlingy’s playthrough of it. But that playthrough was full of memories, I should really rewatch it one day~ I may not remember an awful lot about the game, but I do keep coming back to it in one way or another. I liked the character designs, the fact that all of them were unique and had their own abilities, there was a bit of story around all of them, the traitor system had you thinking & made each run a little different... That’s some Cool Stuff! The game might be a bit obscure and seriously not known at all, but for what it was, it was great and I enjoyed it a bunch! And now for stuff that wasn’t on the list but I kinda still want to mention. Because why not~ IB - This Almost made it onto the list, but I felt a little closer of a connection to the other games on it. But IB is one of those games from the early 2010s that I also got introduced to through the wonderful world of Youtube. I have forgotten the name of the person whose playthrough in the game I watched. But I watched a ton of people play this game. It was just. So cool. The puzzles in this game were nice and the fact I myself could solve and understand them too was pretty nice to me, and for some reason I just enjoyed watching other people react to the game and try solving stuff. It also had a couple different endings so watching and seeing what the other people got was also interesting. Great memories~ Witch’s House / Ao Oni / Mad Father - And all sorts of other horror games that kinda fall under this grouping and style and stuff. Yeah, IB kinda opened a bit of a thing for me as I realized I greatly enjoyed the horror games with puzzle elements to themselves + a bit of story here and there. There’s definitely much much more than these 3, I watched soooo many of these games being played by others. Ao Oni I may have discovered through my Hetalia phase though, HetaOni, if any of you still recognize that name. Daym. Although at first I didn’t want to watch HetaOni because of the portraits. Pfffff I thought the person who made them was being mean to some of the characters, but nah, I’d later learn that those were simply just mimicing the ones from the original game. But yeah, Ao Oni had a dozen variants and things inspired by it so those kept me busy for a whiiiiiile Hades - Now here’s a cool recent game! Again, haven’t played it, but it looks cool. The story is nice, character designs are God Like (hehe), soundtrack is super cool, aesthetics and oh my god everything is voice acted oh my gooood. This game is just. So cool. And the team who did it seems really cool too and are seemingly full of nice amazing people. This is definitely some great example work on how things should be done :2 Definitely something to look up to, I love everything about them~ The only reason Hades isn’t up there is because of its recentness and my brain not managing to think of it somehow even as I struggled to come up with stuff (I was mostly trying to think of stuff I had played, so that’s one thing. I even struggled to remember DMC because my current hyperfixations are elsewhere and that’s freaking Wild considering how much I enjoy DMC) But yeah, Hades is Super Freaking Cool Crash Bandicoot - These games I did play as a kid actually, the 1st one was way too hard and the 3rd one was my favourite. I like Crash, these games were nice too and I have plenty of good memories with the game, just not enough to make it up there on my list. Yeah it sounds stupid that I’d take out a game I actually played and replace it with stuff that I didn’t, but... Hey, my list Minecraft - Watched several videos on other people pllaying this game, I know of it, I respect it, but I’ve never played it myself and stuff. It’s cool but didn’t make it on the list Animal Crossing - Riiiiiight, these games seem adorable and I wouldn’t mind owning an AC game one day. I’d probably reset continuously though to get Skye in my town/village/island, she’s my favourite xD If the recent game had cost lest I might have gotten it. 60-70€ is just, a lot of money Persona - I guess I’ll mention these too. My experiences are through Bigklingy’s videos again. 3 is a fave, 4 seems cool, 5 I don’t know a lot about but it seems nice too. I probably wouldn’t be able to play these games myself, since some fights kinda need certain things and strategies and you can’t really just pick whatever and whom ever and roll through with brute strength. I mean, I Guess you could, but that might not be as fun in the long run? Who knows, but it’s not exactly like Pokemon or Fire Emblem in those regards you know The big conclusion is that I like all sorts of different aesthetic looks, mostly probably natural with some brighter colors in it. Stories are good, I love stories! Good characters with nice designs and backstories are really nice too. Things being thought out and built nicely is great you know? A little bit of strategy, fantasy here and there. Nothing too dark and gloomy or ‘hyper realistic’ or what have you. I guess no first person shooters either, though combat is fine. Games where I can pick and choose what to use and what kinds of ‘teams’ I build and the ‘members’ I use in them is nice. I do love watching others play, but with games like Pokemon & Fire Emblem I have that drive of choosing who to use and having my own unique experience kinda gets me to buy the games.

An iPod Named Ricky pt. 1 - A is for Artists

Back on March 31st (or so), I received a black 5th gen iPod Classic 30gb model (shown here with a 2nd gen iPod Shuffle 1gb i bought as well). I thought the thing would have had no songs on it as the eBay page mentioned that it was formatted with a Mac, and yet, the iPod has 5525 songs on it. This clocks in at about 12 and a third days of tunes. This is my thoughts on the music on this iPod named Ricky.

I decided that I would listen to the music in Alphabetical order of Artist names, then by album release date for each artist. The previous owner seems to be a big fan of Hardcore Punk and too a lesser extent, Hip-Hop. Naturally, we begin the journey through this iPod at the A's below the page break.

There are 8 Artists that begin with A on Ricky: AFI, AC/DC, Action Action, Anti-Flag, Arrested Development, At the Drive-In, The Ataris, and Atmosphere. The previous owner included a few albums from the band AFI under both "AFI" and "A.F.I.", woops.

AFI (1995 - 2006)

AFI was a band I had already heard of from their songs "Prelude 12/21", "Miss Murder" and their 2009 album Crash Love. I was unaware of the band's origins as a Hardcore Punk band. Their early work is actually rather good, often being kinda funny. It's really cool to hear their gradual change from the punk vibe to a more dark "emo"-esque vibe. Highlights: "I Wanna Get A Mohawk (But Mom Won't Let Me Get One)" and "Death Of Seasons"

AC/DC (Back in Black, 1980)

Never hearing this album before (beyond passive radio listening or it being inserted into media), but seeing folks with the t-shirt kind of hyped it up for me. Yet the album is pretty boring for me. It's honestly wild how sexist and/or chauvinistic some of the lyrics are, but as a relic of it's era, it does "Rock". Highlight: "What Do You Do for Money Honey".

Action Action (Don't Cut Your Fabric to This Year's Fashion, 2004)

This album feels like something someone would find on 2004's MySpace front page. Kinda punk, kind goth it just screams scene, especially with the cover art. Electronica elements twinge the albums rather punk sound and its fantastic. Highlight: "Instructions on Building a Model Airplane".

Anti-Flag (1996-2006)

I've seen this band's logo on punk patches for awhile now, but finally listened to them through this iPod. I'm sure that I will say this over and over for the punk music on this, but it's sad that this music is still 100% relevant 20 years after it's release. Thrashy, Angry, and highly political, fantastic stuff. Highlights: "F**K Police Brutality" and "Anatomy of Your Enemy".

Arrested Development (3 Years, 5 Months And 2 Days In The Life Of..., 1992)

This is the first Hip-Hop album on the iPod and honestly I was happy for a change in genre after all that Anti-Flag. The funky sound of the hip-hop beats by Speech on this album are fantastic. I liked the themes of love in the album. Highlights: "Fishin' 4 Religion", "U", and "Tennessee".

At the Drive-In (El Gran Orgo, 1997; Relationship of Command, 2000)

This band seems to have had a pretty on and off time, according to their Wikipedia page. The EP included El Gran Orgo isn't that great honestly, very some dudes in a garage making music sound that doesn't feel that inspired. On the other hand, Relationship of Command is immense. Multiple vocalists barrage the listener with competing lyrics and gang vocals. Really great post-hardcore. Highlights: "Invalid Litter Dept.", "Rolodex Propaganda", and "Quarantined".

The Ataris (...Anywhere But Here, 1997; So Long, Astoria, 2003)

Really didn't care for this band's albums. Both albums felt very generic, textbook pop-punk. They really lack any defining flavor to make it feel unique. Highlight: "Radio #2"

Atmosphere (God Loves Ugly, 2002)

I really like this album. Very personal lyricism atop sampledelic beats. Need to listen to this one more to appreciate the lyrics deeper. For sure, my favorite album overall so far. Highlight: "Vampires"

And that's the A's from an iPod named Ricky. The B's look promising as I've always wanted to give Blink-182's music a more serious listen.

nightly chats

ive been gone since monday sooooo it’s time for a week recap!! woop woop

this week’s Big Smile Energy: so ive been at camp all week and that’s been absolutely amazing because i’ve been able to get away from all the stressors and responsibilities of my normal life. sure, i had to take care of children, but at least it’s not bad music, studying, and housework. camp was definitely an amazing break from the disaster that was my life for the week or so before i left. another thing that made me happy at camp was that this year camper culture really changed. all these 9-12 year olds are full of gen z culture. they know vines and memes and they have cursed inside jokes and weird nicknames, and they like musicals, and a WHOLE BUNCH of them are gay. they’ve basically adapted the culture that gen z teens have now and it makes me really happy idk why

this week’s Laff Tracc: lemme hit u with some of my favorite camp quotes: “my hat is melting!” “if you sit on my lap again, i’m gonna get an erection.” “’how do you feel?’ ‘gay.’” “you’re on tumblr. i can see it in your eyes.” it was a good week, my dudes.

this week’s Sad Boi Hour: i’m EXHAUSTED from a normal sleep schedule, and i haven’t had nearly enough time to rest before i leave again tomorrow morning. if i’m lucky i’ll get like 7 1/2 hours tonight, although i DEFINITELY need a good 8, and where i’m traveling tomorrow i’m gonna be an hour behind which means i’m gonna sleep LESS, and that’s definitely not gonna help. basically i haven’t slept 8 hours in days and i WON’T sleep 8 hours for a few days and maybe not even until i get back home from my next trip, so i’m about to be a half functional human being. it’s yeehaw hours, bois.

1) You have the opportunity to become immortal, but you must commit heinous crimes to achieve it. No one else would ever know about these crimes. Would you do it? Why?

No. Simply cause I think immortality sounds awful. Living forever seems terribly lonely, since everyone else you know would eventually die and perish. And you know, not too fan of the heinous crime stuff either tbh.

2) What were your favorite television shows as a kid?

I think the obvious answer is first gen Pokemon? Like I’d get up at six in the morning just to watch that shit before Bonanza was on.

3) How do you think humanity would react to the discovery of extraterrestrial life?

Shit. Especially if Mars attacks! holds any truth and it’s the current xenophobic president who has to handle these intergalactic affairs.

4) Star Wars or Star Trek? Why?

Star Wars. Though I have yet to see the new movies.

5) Is free access to the internet a fundamental human right?

I think it should be. Everyone should have the right to educate themselves and learn about all the shitstorms of the world.

6) What would your perfect bedroom look like?

Just a big room with an equally big mattress. Lots of pillows so my gf and I can have pillow fights and lounge around comfortably. Maybe a television on the wall so we can watch Netflix.

7) Is there such a thing as freedom of expression, or is some degree of censorship necessary?

I would love to say in an ideal world, freedom of expression would be a human right, but unfortunately we live in such a toxic society that censorship of such things as hate speech is necessary I think.

8) What is something you would like to learn how to do?

I’m really interested in computers and IT, so would love to properly learn Python and such better. Also, to do an ollie on a skateboard.

9) What was your first cell phone?

I had a Simens which I got off my mum with a red screen that had a really cool game on it. I was beige and could play polytones lol.

10) How do you relax after a long day?

I write and watch mind-numbing shit on youtube.

11) What was something good that happened this week?

I GOT QUEEN TICKETS WOOP. Also, I skyped with my girl for three hours last night and we talked about what we were going to do when she came over, so can’t wait to see her! It’s been an exhausting but good week.

Describe your character; How do you see your character in your own eyes and not based off the bio. How have you developed this character into your own?

SO A LOT HAS CHANGED SINCE THE LAST TIME I WROTE THIS LMFAO. How do I even describe Wally??? He honestly means so damn much to me for many reasons mostly because he’s the character i‘ve had the longest. I’ve had him for maybe 8 years??? and he’s truly come leaps and bounds from where he once was. Wally is the actual human form of sunshine. He just emits light and love wherever he goes. He has one of the biggest hearts around and sometimes that gets him in trouble. He sees the good in everyone (except maybe auto but you know auto’s a d i c k). Wally has really come into his own these past few years. He’s learned to love himself, like, genuinely love himself. That has always been wally’s biggest struggle. All his life he was told he was nothing and treated like absolute trash by the BNL gang and the axioms. when he first came to walt he was this stuttering insecure mess, basically austin. He was scared of his own shadow and afraid to be loved, even touched. Now that’s not the case at all. He’s genuinely happy. he’s very confident with himself. Now that i’ve played wally long enough i’ve gotten to explore more bits and pieces of him and he’s quite feminine and he’s not ashamed of it he embraces it. He doesn’t feel like he has to hide who he is anymore because he’s married to one of the most understanding, supportive and loving men ever. Wally is a fighter. He’s come so damn far and I am proud of my little bean.

What’s your favorite thing about your character? what’s your least favorite?

There’s so many things about wally that I love, I love how carefree and spirited he is. I really love how fucking sassy he is. like my boy has SASS. But really my favorite thing about Wally is his ability to love just about anything and anyone. Which is one of his down falls as well, because he just sees the good even in the worst of people and Wally just wants to fix the broken. I would say that i don’t like how he still has a lack of faith in himself. He doesn’t hate himself as much as he used to but he doesn’t believe in his capabilities. also he’s a fucking tease like rip oliver spade.

What are some of your favorite relationships your character has formed? (Friendships, relationships, yada ya)

omgomg I love wally and silvermist. she’s the little sister he’s always wanted (before he knew marjoire existed rip me!!) and they’re just so pure and cute. I also love his relationship with Aurora. They’re both hopeless romantics and becca i’m so sorry i’m trash with replying but like their friendship has to flourish even more because they’re very a like and wally adored her. his relationship with donicia is so sweet too like omg they rot my teeth.

i’ll throw in next gen too because do i REALLY want to make more posts than I need to??? the answer is no.

Has your character changed you in any way? Or do you yourself in yourself in your character?

Wally’s changed me a lot. If anything. I’ve played many characters, and my biggest problem rping is that I can never connection with a character. I don’t see a story. There’s only one other character i’ve connected with the way I have with wally, but in all honesty Wally is the character I hold closet to my heart. Because I think there’s a bit of wally in all of us. We want to be loved and give love. We want to have hope in something that’s bigger than ourselves. That there’s this light at the end of the tunnel in whatever we’re searching for. We’re all just dreamers and I guess that’s the best way to sum up wally. He’s a dreamer and a believer. I give Wally a lot of praise, but it’s because he’s the thing i’m most proud of. He’s apart of me, and he’s as weird as it sounds, he’s help me grow as a person. Sometimes I wish I was more like Wally. I wish I could be happy about life and enjoy the little things and just love everything and everyone as much as he does. I’ve been told i’m sunshine before so I guess wally and I are a lot a like. So wally’s a big part of me and always has been. Like I said, wally’s just a good person. He’s the good in me I wish I had more of to be honest. or at least showed more of.

Do you think your character has had a big impact on Walt? Is it a good impact or bad?

I think Wally’s had a good impact. In all honestly, I didn’t think people were going like wally, or like, not really pay attention him. Yet this fucker’s impacted a good chunk of people. I just, sometimes I cry about it that so many people like him and that he does effect so many characters. It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside that I finally did something right with a character and it only took years of roleplaying. aye.

Favorite thing your character has done and worst

FALLING IN LOVE WITH OLIVER MY GOD THAT’S THE BEST THING HES DONE. listen to me when I say wally STRUGGLED for years to come to terms with his sexuality. and when he finally fell in love with Oliver oh my god it was the most freeing experience ever for him and he found his best friend and soulmate. The worst thing he’s done?? lmfao the fucking coma. That story arch haunts me to this day.

What is some progress you hope to have with your character in the future?

I want him to finally give acting a chance

What is one thing you would tell your character?

Honestly, i would tell him i’m proud of him and how far he’s come.

What has been YOUR favorite thing about walt?

My favorite thing about Walt is just how much it’s grown. When we started this roleplay, I was so afraid it was going to flop and people would be like 'oh it’s just another Disney school rp big woop’ but I was proven wrong because over the past views year. sure we’ve had or ups and downs. we’ve had drama that we DON’T speak of or speak of whomst but walt’s grown into something that I never imagined it could be. we’ve all became a huge family and that’s just…it’s my favorite knowing that. So thank you guys. Walt wouldn’t be what it is without you.

I’ll be real sometimes I get stressed out about everything. I’m always doing a million things at once rp and in real life. but i do love this place and all of you and i want to give you all the best roleplay you could ever be a part of. i’m not a perfect admin or rper for that matter but i’m trying.

Help. All the ideas. Help.

Having officially finished what there is of Teen Wolf (God I loved 6A), I am now going to inform everyone that--Holy fucking shit did all the ideas happen!

I started so many fucking fics during me watching Teen Wolf, you won’t believe! I’m trying to see whether I will actually continue writing some of them, or whether it’s just gonna stay like they are (unfinished), but I’d love some input. Maybe on what folks actually want to read or w/e.

Fair warning: I love Stiles. I love Chris Argent. I love Peter Hale. So...those will probably always be main. I love Derek Hale as well, BUT I can’t write him. At all. Ever.

So...here’s a list of things I’ve started writing:

1. Instagram - Peter/Stiles/Chris - Stiles finds Chris’ Instagram, there are many hots to be had, Peter finds out Stiles found the Instagram and decides that yes, they can get the Hunter. And convinces Stiles to get the damn man together. -Current wordcount: 2375

2. Alpha Chris - Gen/No-pairing - In which Chris becomes the Alpha of a pack of Weres, humans and a Banshee without even noticing. Chris would like it known that he didn’t realize letting the kids stay at his home and make it their pack base (to which he gave some token protests that were all ignored) would make him their Alpha. - Brainstorm drabble (600 words)

3. Son of a Red Room Girl - Chris/Stiles - In which Claudia is alive, was a Red Room trained assassin like the Black Widow, and has trained Stiles that way as well. Chris has many inappropriate hard-ons. - Current wordcount: 925

4. Bunker - Peter/Stiles/Chris - Peter courts Stiles, who doesn’t know what Peter is doing. Stiles wards and hides in Chris’ home (cause of all the wolfsbane and anti-Werewolf weaponry available), and Chris uses this opportunity to court the boy himself. - Current Wordcount: 2627

5. Prank War - Chris/Stiles - Stiles trains himself in stealth by breaking into the Argent home and temporarily misappropriating some stuff...okay, so no, he’s totally using this opportunity to prank the fuck out of Argent. There might have also been some stealing of sex toys, but considering Argent hasn’t noticed that yet after weeks... - Current Wordcount: 2294

6. Time-Travel - Gen/No-pairing - Everyone is dead. Everything went to shit. His wife’s dead, his kids are dead, his entire pack is dead. So in the end, Stiles goes back to change it all. He just hadn’t counted on the magic sending him back to a place in the past that allows him to save four Argents. - Current Wordcount: 5000

7. I Killed Someone, Mr. Argent - Gen/No-pairing - Stiles calls Chris Argent after he killed Donovan and found that the body had been taken. - Current Wordcount: 2123

8. Were Victoria - Gen, Victoria/Chris - Stiles does his best to save Victoria, to prevent her from killing herself. If he somehow manages to build a strong pack to protect Beacon Hills, well, that’s just a bonus, really. - Current wordcount: 3343

9. Roadtrip - Currently Gen - After 3B happened, Stiles goes on a roadtrip. He sees some monks for inner peace, makes friends with an assassin, becomes buddies with a Vamp, saves Derek and Peter from a basement and is off to visit more monks in Tibet - Current Wordcount: 4606

10. Aggressive Support - Chris Argent/Noah Stilinski - The two are keeping it a secret that they are dating. That’s totally fine, because Stiles figured it out like two dates in, after which he and Allison chaperoned their dads on their ‘secret dates’ and hurt anyone attempting to interrupt said date. - Current Wordcount: 2427

11. Family of Heart - Chris Argent & Stiles Stilinski - A series of one-shots where a familial connection between Chris and Stiles grows more and more with mutual support and love. - Current Wordcount: 1886 & 932 & brainstorm drabbles

CAN EVERYONE SEE MY PROBLEM?! THERE’S TOO MANY! EVERY DAY I’M SKIPPING TO A NEW ONE OF THESE, ADDING A SENTENCE HERE AND THERE, AND IT’S TOO MUCH HOLY SHIT! I GET NOTHING DONE BESIDES THIS, AND I DON’T EVEN GET THIS DONE.

I leaned back against the brick wall of the school, watching my breath float above me. "What was that?" came from a bubbly voice beside me. I turned to see Lacey, a blonde-haired blue-eyed girl with braces and pigtails, standing in a green skirt and a white button up top. I laughed, "I get it that you found your taste but do you have to embrace it so much?"

Lacey looked down at what she was wearing and shrugged, "I think I look great today." A boy with the same features as Lacey came gliding out of the door beside her, "Sure do Lace." He kept walking to the red sports car parked in the school parking lot, "Don't forget cheer practice later." Lacey's cheeks blushed. I laughed. Lacey's eyes shot back to me. Her face contorted as she tried to form a grimace. Her face started to turn red with a hint of purple around her eyes as she strained. "I mean we can stand here all day while you try to do something you know you can't do," I said, "or we can go pick up Lunde' like we promised."

Lacey let out a sigh as she stared at the ground and caught her breath, "At least I have a taste Katelyn. I'm the younger twin and I still caught mine before you did. So do you want to talk about things people can't do?" She reached out to a small bush. A vine sprouted and twist around her wrist before a full rose sprouted at the end and rested in her palm. She pinched the rose bud loose and held it up to my face. "Because it seems we have a non-gen in the family." I clenched my fists as she reached down and grabbed my arm. She forced open my palm and put the rose in. Every muscle in my forearm cramped as I fought the urge to send her back to the Orthodontist. The first pedal of the rose touched my skin and immediately began to turn black. "Woops, well we know you're not a pop enthusiast" she said. I gripped the rose, feeling it turn to ash, and threw it behind me. The car door unlocked as I neared it. I hopped in and gripped the steering wheel as I heard bouncy footsteps open the passenger door.

I wasn't the biggest fan of Timberlake High but if there was one place I liked less than Timberlake it was Mumford Prep. I knew we were getting close when the sun that beamed down on my blue sedan changed to the pitter patter of a light rain. The ice cream parlors were replaced with rows and rows of coffee shops and the ever present "guy with a guitar singing on street corner in Birkenstocks". "Terrible weather here," said Lacey. "I shook my head, "It's always terrible. It's how they like it."

"Sad really. I prefer the sunshine, but hey at least there's no traffic." Lacey wasn't wrong. No one drove to Mumford Prep. They either rode bikes or walked. I'm surprised they even went to school if you could actually call 8 hours of the philosophy of Poe school.

The sedan pulled up to a brick building. The inside was dimly lit with warm lighting. Lacey looked confused. "Are they closed?" she asked. I stared at the window, hoping to see someone I recognized. "Kate?" asked Lacey. "Yeah?" I asked still trying to peer past her into the window. Her arm gripped mine. I looked at her face that was frozen straight ahead of the car. The rain stopped as a red aura surrounded us. I turned to see three figures ambling towards the school. We ducked down and climbed out of the car as they neared the doors of brick building.

My eyes peered over my trunk and I watched as a pink mohawk with a ripped purple tanktop walked to the doors and started kicking. "Knock knock hipster boy!" he shouted. I could see figures beginning to move around the windows. A few heads were poking up and down from the couches inside. "We just wanna play little hipster wipsters. Come on give us some playthings!" the pink mohawk continued to shout. I could hear sobbing and I looked over to see Lacey holding the back of her head and crying. "It's death metal" she said. "We're gonna die. they're gonna rip us ap . . . " I gripped her mouth.

"Shut up," I said in a whispering yell. "It's not death metal. It's punk. Now shut up before they hear us."

"I want to see mom. Please Kate let's just go home," she said sobbing uncontrollably.

"Stop it Lace. I need you. We can't go home now. If we try to leave they'll see us," I said still whispering. Something hit the ground behind me. I held my breath. My heart beat into my throat and I turned to meet what was standing behind me. When I made it fully around, no one was there. I scrunched my brow and peered under the car. Three pairs of feet were still in front of the door, trying to break it down. Something else hit the ground. I saw a rock move as I faced the noise. I looked from behind the car. A small figure with long black hair was crouched under a table outside with similarly dressed classmates. It was Marcos. "Where's Lunde?" I mouthed.

A ripping noise vibrated around us. The punks were calling their aura. The kids under the table huddled together and covered their heads. I looked back at Lacey. "Call yours," I whispered. "I, I can't," she said as she stared into nothing. A tear fell down her cheek.

"Lacey if you don't call your aura their going to burn everyone in that school alive."

"I just got my gen. I'm not strong enough," she cried.

I clenched my fists and walked from behind the car. "Hey. You got a problem punk?" I said as I pushed girl with blue dreads from behind. A fist careened the air beside me and I ducked to miss it. I brought my foot up into her chest and kicked off. Her body flew back and hit the pink mohawk still trying to call his aura. "The hell Mavis." he said as he turned to see me inching my way off the ground. "Looky here. We got us someone to play with," he said. The three punks circled around me and began moving their hands in a ball in front of them. A light began to ignite between their hands. The girl with blue dreads barked and jumped at me. I jumped back and raised my fists. The trio laughed. "Why don't you raise your gen girly," said blue dreads. "Come on, give us a show," said pink mohawk.

A whipping noise slapped the ground and shook us all to our feet. Lunde' landed in front of me. I looked up at him as he raised his hands. A whisp wrapped around her wrists and he twirled around before striking the ground again with another whipping sound. The punk jumped to their feet and let loose three streams of red flames. A white cloud engulfed him as he held out his hands to meet the attack. He backed into me and jumped up to brace him as he was inching backwards. I could feel the heat beginning to surround us when a vine grabbed the girl with blue dreads. I heard her scream as vines wrapped around her, eventually muffling and then silencing her scream. The pink mohawk turned to Lacey who raised more vines to attack him. "Lace," I shouted. The vines came down toward the punk as he jumped and threw his hands up. His arms burst into flames as he hit the ground. A wave of fire grew and came straight at Lacey. I ran to her as Lunde' whipped him to his knees. Lacey was pushed against a fence. Her fingers were black. Her tan skin had turned pale white and her eyes were black.

I held her body in my arms and rubbed her cheek. She wasn't. I knew she wasn't. My blood was cold. My heart begged to stop beating. My eyes burned as tears poured out of them. "Lacey," I said shaking her. "Lacey wake up," I said in a serious tone. I thought back to the times she would play this stupid trick on me when we were younger. This time she didn't move. A feeling, an aura I'd always felt like another mind suddenly was gone. A constant blanket I'd always had faded and then vanished. Her hair turned from blonde to white as I continued to hold her. I heard the whipping stop as I watched Lunde' fly through a building behind him, followed by the pink mohawk. Footsteps slowly walked to me, accompanied by laughter. "Pour little pop girl. I can feel her aura in me now. I can hear her screams," said the girl with blue dreads. "Join her," she said as I heard a flame ignite. The heat surrounded me and pain gripped every part of me. I hunched over to protect Lacey's body as my lungs burned. I gasped for any cool air. My eyes felt like they were cooking in my face. I watched blisters emerge on my skin and then blacken. A seering pain was all over me and inside me. My muscles popped and crackled and the only thing I had left was to scream.

The pink mohawk was right on my heels as I tried to get to my feet. He emerged through the wall he'd thrown me through and bounded after me. I threw my arm out and felt the familiar tingle in my finger tips as I saw the whip appear. I tightened my grip and let it fly out to his neck. His palms caught fire and grabbed the whip. The flame started toward me as he yanked me closer to him. A flame started in his eyes and I could feel the heat as I reluctantly came closer. I tried to throw out another whip but the heat was too much. My skin started to blister as I heard what sounded like thunder. The flames stopped as everything around us began to float. Suddenly, we were both in the air. He reached out to grab me when his arms were pinned to his side. I could see his muscles tightening as he struggled to move. I dropped from the air. Through the hole I could see the other girl with him in the same position as him. Lacey's lifeless body was in front of her. Something touched my arm and I could have sworn I saw finger indentations in my skin. The blisters disappeared. Another clap of thunder and the three punks began to scream. Their screams were so loud they began to cough up blood. Still screaming through the blood in their throats, their bodies began to turn black. Their hair turned from pink and blue to pale white. Their mouths shut, blood still seeping out. Their blackened bodies convulsed and peered upward. In unison they spoke, "From Hell, to Hell." Each time they said it they got louder. Their voices sounded amplified. Now it sounded like they were everywhere. Their voices still getting louder as they shouted it over and over. A distant noise like someone hitting a bass guitar accompanied the screams.

I jumped to my feet and grabbed my friends under the table. I looked up to see a flame high in the air. Clouds swirled above it in blue and orange. Darkness flashed and sent everything into a deep black abyss before releasing an overwhelming silence. I noticed my friends and I were on the ground when I heard a drop of water hit the ground around me. The darkness was gone and the rain started up again. The three punks were gone. Lacey and Kate were gone too. As I walked my friends inside I looked back where Lacey's body was and watched as a single black rose sprouted from the concrete.

*This was originally a writing prompt but I got carried away with the story and didn't want to shorten it so I'm posting it here. Hope you enjoy.
