Hello everyone! This is yet another reminder that the Hot Glenn Holidays event will be taking place next week, that is, December 17th-23rd! That's right, it's a whole week of celebrating our favorite rock and roll bard and getting into the holiday spirit together as a fandom 💖. Here is some general info about the event:

The official tag for the event is #hot glenn holidays 2023. Please use this tag on works related to the event to ensure that we see it! You can also @ us directly (which we encourage you to do as well, especially since things do not always show up in the tags). Everything made as part of the event will be reblogged to the event blog (please specify in your post if you would rather not have it shared on the main blog for whatever reason).

Additionally, while a couple of the prompts in question pertain to Christmas specifically (since this is a week about Glenn- though to be completely honest the "Saint Nick" one was 100% just to sneak a Nicky day in there), do not let that stop you from depicting the celebration of a different holiday! This is is a blog for all things about Krow.

Does Krow have a VN? When is he getting one? I’ve gotten a number of asks and questions about this from numerous people since I first started this blog and the answer is still the same: I don’t know.  I created Krow mainly as just a way to entertain myself and because games like 14DWY and RH inspired me to. Krow happened to strike a chord with the community, I was asked by a few friends to make a blog so they could send in goofy asks. Now Krow has a decent following (which I am grateful for!) and so I’ve been getting asked this more and more. If I were to seriously consider a VN though, I would have to do a LOT of work. When I made Krow, I created him “in a vacuum” as I like to put it, by which I mean... he doesn’t HAVE a story. There aren’t other defined characters, a setting or such besides him and Dove. So if I were to make a VN, I would need to think of other characters, the setting and so on. While I am not settled on the idea of a VN yet, I HAVE been muddling on expanding the “Krow Verse” as it were. I hope to introduce some other characters to you all soon!

How old is Krow? So *I* personally headcanon Krow at 25, HOWEVER, generally speaking, he can be whatever you headcanon him at as long as he’s 18+. My other headcanon is that he is always a year older than you/Dove. How tall is Krow? Similar to his age, you can headcanon him at various heights. However, his MAX height (and what I headcanon him as) is 5′1″, but he is always at least one inch shorter than you.  Krow is absolutely fine with Dove being much taller than him. 

What ethnicity is Krow? Krow is Indian + Bengali, though he was born in America! And this will ALWAYS be canon.

What’s Krow’s job? He works as a crime scene/forensics cleaner! He works for a very small (as in about five people including him) licensed company to go around and clean up the scenes of murders, not so wellness checks and the like.  He also does some black market organ selling as a side hustle, which come from his own murders. He is also sometimes commissioned to do art! (In particular his other yandere friends go to him for art pieces.)

So Krow’s an artist, what kind of art does he do? The answer is... a bit of everything lmao. Mostly draws and paints, since that’s the easiest and most portable. But he also sculpts (as in using clay but he also buys blocks of marble or such to literally carve into when he can afford it), wood carving and widdling, has done metal working, sometimes writes poetry, customizes and even builds dolls. Pretty much any (traditional) visual art medium there is, Krow has done/does. 

Does Krow have a speech impediment? He does! He’s had his stutter for many years, but has never gotten any kind of correctional therapy for... spoilery reasons.

How did Dove meet Krow? There isn’t really a “canon” way (as of now) that Dove meets Krow, just that it was purely coincidental. So you can headcanon pretty much almost anything of how Dove and Krow meet. Examples I’ve listed before have been at the park, out just walking in public, the grocery store, maybe even your work. To Dove, it may have just been some run of the mill encounter. For Krow however, it was life changing.

Welcome all Grizzco employees! Training manual not enough information for you? No problem! We’re here to provide supplemental information to help you in your quest to climb the ranks in the company! We specialize in tips and tricks to make your Salmon Run experience easier and strive to expand the manual one tip at a time!

This blog’s goal is to highlight techniques that can make your jobs in the field easier. If you’re new here, please review the following information before exploring our content or sending an ask or suggesting a tip for us to test:

Salmon Run Tips caters directly toward beginner and intermediate players. We do cover a few advanced techniques and one of our mods is an overfisher (advanced players who try to optimize their playstyle), but we mostly cover techniques and skills that most middle of the road players will be able to replicate or aren’t aware of. This means that our tips might not be written in a way that optimizes egg gains or mob/chum/lesser control and instead directly address ways to stay alive to the end of the wave or to deal with pesky enemies that might be a problem for most players. In the future, this may change, but, for now, our goal is to help as many people as possible get to the end of their shifts!

For Salmon Run: Next Wave, we will not be revisiting tips that we covered for Splatoon 2’s Salmon Run, unless something has changed between the two modes (ex: how Killer Wail 5.1 interacts with Mothership similarly to Stingray, Maw’s new warning sound, etc.). Please take the time to review our whole archive of advice before sending in an ask about something, as we may simply delete your ask if it was something we already covered. Everything is tagged for your convenience, and we make sure to mention every important fact in the text of the post itself (weapon/map/boss/special), so the blog is easily searchable if you’re looking for something specific!

We strive to only post advice that we can replicate twice in the field on two separate occasions and only use videos that we take ourselves. We do this because we want to ensure that every tip, trick, and piece of advice we post here is 100% legit and replicable by everyone and to guarantee that there is no glitching or exploits going on. We do focus our investigations based on advice or discoveries from other people from time to time and give credit for the initial discovery when necessary, but every video here is taken by one of our mods during regular gameplay (unless stated otherwise, such as when playing in the Shoal). We consider ourselves as an aggregate operation: most of the things we post are things we discovered ourselves, but we also try to test, capture, digest, and present tricks from other sources. Our main goal is to provide advice based on a rigorous testing process. We do not claim to invent this knowledge and most of our advice would dawn on most people from regular gameplay, but sometimes it helps to see things written out. That’s why we’re here!

Please have patience when suggesting tips. Our team is full of working adults who have multiple projects going on and we have to carve out time to play and test things. We also run this blog on a queue, with 3-5 posts going up a day (when we have batches in the works), so it may take a while for your suggestion to make it into our testing queue and then onto the blog. We also do not answer most suggestion asks as we receive a bunch and don’t want to clog up the blog with the same message over and over again (we’re testing this! or it’s already in the queue!). The best place to suggest things is in our ask box. Dropping things in the tags or in a comment on a post will most likely get missed, so if you really want us to see something please place it gently and lovingly into the ask box.

Anyways just putting this here not all transmascs are men, and not all transfems are women, likewise enbymisia and exorsexism exist, nor do i intend to be these things with discourse shit

It's just a lot of it boils down to the whole women = pure innocent creature and men = evil disgusting cretin bullshit radfems like to push around, which doesn't really have much wiggle room to talk about gender-diverse experiences when the directed target is hyperspecific.

(A lot of it boiling down to the idea transmasc = man, transfem = women in trans discourse, especially antimasculism and transandromisia discourse and activism. While trying to put a foot in the door just for even binary trans men to be able to talk about their unique experiences doesn't intentionally leave out non-men/multigender/genderqueer/nonbinary transmascs, it sorta just happens when to even have an arguement you have to use hyperspecific language.) I usually try to include discussions on treimisia in these posts, but a lot of it is geared towards transmasc men and not general transmasc due to the whole binarism of this debate.

I'm a nonbinary multitrans (Transmasculine/Transxenine/Transkenoine) dude, however talking with specific language helps prevent clutter and to solidify a specific issue against a specific targeted group, even if it affects others visibility unfortunately. (I honestly doubt these people would even see past AGAB and the whole TMA=AMAB, and TME=AFAB intersexist transmisic bullshit that sprouted up last year or so on Tumblr, considering these transmisics use phrases like "AFAB privilege" while referring to anyone but cisgender women)

Hey! i have a quick (or long, depends on you!) question, You have a lot of AU's for your characters, so I'm wondering, which AU is YOUR personal fave? if u cant name one, top 3 or 5 works too

heheh ok this can 100% be a verrry loong answer. But the quick answer is easy.

My favorite au is the mafia au. I have a million ideas for that world, it comes super easy compared to some of my other stuff. And I just have fun. It also ties back to my really close friends since it started specifically because of them getting me into magic the gathering during the streets of new capenna set. Still need all the art cards for that set too

The others it's honestly hard to say. I could probably tell you my least favorite, but I don't wanna discourage anyone who likes it so I won't <3

Honestly each has merits. Depending on my mood I fall in love with another one all over again. Seer and the gods is fun cause it's one that feeds into a lot of my interests when i was growing up.

Ian and Mikhail as a whole are fun cause they are some of the oldest ocs I've had, but got a revamp for gt. (always brothers though :D)

The dreaming soul mates au is fun cause i can do strange methods of meetings in it. I keep having ideas for that one.

I could probably have you tell me an au, whether it's one I've listed as I might start or one I've started, and tell you what makes me happy with it.

- PYRO USES THEY/THEM. this is just a personal preference, please respect it! It's okay if you slip up and use he/him, but try and remember it if you can!

- NO ONE IS DISGUSTING. It’s come to my attention that one character might be seen as a p3d0, which is NOT true! That will never be a plot point, and will never be seen on this blog, as it is horrible and wrong.

Set in a dystopian-setting after the events of Shadow the Hedgehog, Shadow has become the Black Arms Overlord—an even more powerful mutation of/than Black Doom—and currently governs over a ravaged section of the world, where lingering black arms and badniks threaten, protecting the human and mobian inhabitants.

Despite the darker thoughts that torment him, Shadow continues in his endeavor to fulfill his promise to Maria and give the people on earth a chance to be happy. Even if his rule over everyone isn’t inherently ‘peaceful’.

➝ Shadow overthrows Black Doom, although the surviving Black Arms do not listen or respond to him after the defeat of their creators by his hands. He’s still connected to their hivemind and can send out signals to them, but again, they’re unresponsive in listening to him. They’re even more volatile than before, entirely out of control. ↳ Has his own ‘Doom’s Eye’. Functions the same, acting as a second pair of eyes. It follows you around whenever you’re not in Shadow’s presence.

➝ As one of Sonic’s friends, you initially met Shadow when he was first awoken from stasis by Dr. Robotnik. The two of you have an unmistakably close bond, the hedgehog vowing to protect you.

➝ You find a pink chao egg. It’s pulsating and thrumming with warmth, yet there’s a sinister presence festering inside—it contains the future of the Black Arms. ↳ When it’s hatches, it’s revealed to be a chaos chao/black arms-hybrid. ↳ Depending on how you raise it from here, it’ll either become a Darkling-like entity destined to usurp Shadow and take over earth… or a true son to the both of you, who fights staunchly for earth.
