Here she is! The kotobukiya figure of Elesa, the Nimbasa city gym leader in her outfit from Pokémon Black 2 and White 2! I didn’t know that this figure existed until a few months ago and upon seeing her, I had to have her!

After ordering the figure from Japan, it arrived safely wrapped in layers of bubble wrap. The box is cardboard with the figure encased in 2 plastic holders that take up the space of the box. The box has a stock photo of the figure with some English text of her Japanese name Kamitsure and her moniker The Shining Beauty. The interior of the box has 2D art of Elesa in the pose that the figure is in.

The figure is made of ABS and PVC plastic with the sculpt detailing her outfit. Her pose gives the sense of her elegance as a model yet also playing on the gym type that she specializes with. The fit of her coat looks very comfortable and the figure gives a full 360 degrees of her outfit. Her Emolga is sitting by her left shoulder and comes with a detachable tail.

The accessories for Elesa are these electric bolts cast in a translucent plastic and Emolga’s tail. There’s a small paper that details the location of where the bolts would go on the base. The base is half of a Pokéball with small peg holes where the blue bolts would go.

In terms of scale, the figure stands about 10 inches tall with a Disney LE doll and a G4 My Little Pony for comparison.

Overall the figure was worth every penny and I would recommend this line of figures for the more serious fans of the Pokémon trainer characters as these figures are pretty pricey and some characters tend to go for more on the secondhand market. For real though I didn’t know about this figure line until a few months ago and learning that Elesa was released in summer 2020, well she was worth it!

hey why are the Van Helsings always the Vampire Hunting Family in modern Dracula stories. Abraham Van Helsing might be the guy who knows stuff but his family is off in the Netherlands and/or dead and totally uninvolved in the plot. You know who is a family who hates Dracula so so much and would totally teach their kids how to hunt vampires? The Harkers. I think there's something to be said for fanfiction that loves canon in a way that’s rude. the way i would pay for oliver to write meta about buck's character

#like. he Gets it. i've been thinking about buck in this ep for five days straight and he said it better in one sentence than any paragraph #i could ever come up with #people are arguing over whether buck #acted the way he did bc he wanted tommy's attention or eddie's attention or bc he was feeling left out or whatever but i don't think it's #any one thing i think it was just a general feeling of Wrongness when tommy showed up borne from thirty years of repressing his sexuality #and he tried to rationalize it as jealousy or whatever and worked through the fact that his behavior was completely unreasonable but #it wasn't until tommy kissed him that all of the rage that was trapped inside him was allowed to escape bc he finally had a name for it #he's been turning over parts of himself for years trying to find that final piece and getting more and more upset when it eludes him #n this kiss was the kind of cathartic relief that he so desperately needed bc it allowed him to understand what's been missing #anyway. oliver stark i love you so much i'm so grateful you play buck #buck #rae.txt #911
