a/n: hello hello! (is acting like i haven’t been gone for forever), can you believe i found this just sitting on a random note in my phone 90% done???? i literally wrote this over a year ago and never found the motivation to finish it ;-; due to its age toshi might be a bit ooc.

anyways, i’m not entirely back yet but i keep seeing lovely comments and reblogs that just make me want to start writing again ;-; maybe with the haikyuu movie being released soon my motivation will amp back up. ALSO i’m gonna try to start reblogging regularly again

If there was one thing that you knew for an absolute fact. it would be that volleyball would always be his main priority.

You knew this well before you started dating him, it was part of the reason you refused to admit your true feelings for him. You refused to take him away from his first love. Something that he was so visibly passionate about.

So you stayed on the sidelines, watching wistfully as the boy you had a crush on rose higher and higher, while you stood on the ground looking up in awe. This was comfortable, you were content with just watching and admiring. It was all you thought you were able to do.

Until he had asked you out first.

You had genuinely thought that Tendou was joking when he had told you that the Ushijima Wakatoshi saw you as anything more than one of the team’s managers.

His face was always devoid of emotion. Your interactions were limited to him nodding in thanks as you gave him a towel or water bottle, or him humming in acknowledgment as you relayed to him the notes you took after the most recent practice match.

And yet you found yourself standing in front of him, just outside the gym after practice, heart absolutely racing as he asked you out on a date.

Your first date was awkward to say the least. Having never spoken outside of club activities, you found it hard to keep a conversation flowing as you two sat in a cafe sipping your drinks.

He had walked you back to your dorm that day, but before you could go in, he had grabbed your hand.

You stared in shock at the large hand enveloping yours, “Ushijima?”

Suddenly, you felt a tiny gust of wind and a slight pressure against your forehead. You could only stammer dumbly as you realized the pressure was his lips.

He pulled away after a moment. He was heavily avoiding eye contact and turned his head to the side, but you could see the tips of his ears turning red.

“I don’t know much when it comes to this stuff. But I know I would like to go out again… if that’s okay with you of course.”

You gaped at the boy in front of you “I- um we…” you took a deep breath to centre yourself and smiled “Yes I would like to go out with you again Ushijima.”

Your relationship progressed quite fast after that. More dates, hanging out with him and Tendou in their dorm.

You were there for everything, cheering him on during games, you were the first person he would seek out when he won, you comforted him after a loss.

Your relationship lasted through high school and even university. It wasn’t long before you two ended up moving in together.

When Wakatoshi found his place with the Schweiden Adlers you were ecstatic. You had also just landed a great job and it felt like your two were simply cruising through life with ease.

Unfortunately your seemingly perfect life would never last forever.

Being in the v-league, volleyball seemed to fill his schedule more now than ever. Constant practice, games outside of the city even in other countries sometimes.

You hardly saw Ushijima anymore despite living with him. Even when you did, he was tired or just about to leave for practice.

It felt like you were pushed back into the sidelines. Watching hopelessly as he rose higher and higher, to places where you could not reach. It was no longer comfortable, you could no longer look in awe, but in despair as you watch him slip from the already loose grasp you had on him.

You couldn’t even remember the last time you went on a date. Every time you mentioned doing something in his free time he had brushed you off.

Which led you to now.

You woke up to an empty bed yet again. It was your day off so you weren’t rushing to get out of bed.

Yet you felt off.

The dryness in your mouth and throat is what you felt first. Then how runny your nose was. Finally, the cold sweat you were experiencing.

You were definitely sick.

You groaned to yourself and pulled the blanket to your chin. Hoping that you could possibly sleep it off.

Yet your efforts were in vain. After what felt like hours of trying to fall back asleep you realized that you were just going to feel even more miserable without anything to eat or at least drink.

You pushed yourself up onto your elbows and immediately regretted it. The world spun around you and your entire body shook. You collapsed back onto your pillow and panted at the exertion it took.

As you caught your breath you turned your head towards your bedside table, where your phone sat charging.

Weakly, you lifted your arm and with a bit of effort you were able to grab your phone. As it turned on you winced at how bright the screen was and with bleary eyes you managed to open your contacts.

The words seemed to blend together as you searched through your contacts, you nearly sobbed in relief as your eyes finally focused on the name of your best friend.

You clicked the call button and dropped you hand to beside your ear, preparing for the way your throat would undoubtedly hurt as you spoke.

After a couple rings you heard the person on the other side pick up and you quickly began speaking, desperate to get them to come quickly so that you could hopefully feel better.

“Hey, I’m sorry if you’re busy but do you think you can bring me some drinks and maybe food? i’m not feeling the best and I don’t know if I can get up at all.”

The person on the other end of the phone began talking but you could barely decipher it as your head spun and your body shivered despite how warm you were.

“-/n….y/n?”

You froze at the deep voice on the other side of the phone. You pulled away an looked at the screen, nearly breaking down at the sight of Wakatoshi’s name instead of your friends. Quickly you put it back against your ear

“Ah I’m sorry Toshi. I meant to call a friend you’re probably busy you don’t have to come back home.” you said quickly, actually sitting up as you rambled nervously, reprimanding yourself for interrupting his practice.

You had called and texted him during practice before. At one point he was fine with it, responding during breaks or calling you back once practice had finished. But lately you had been greeted with one worded responses, or you were just ignored.

One time you even tried to pry once he got home from practice, asking him about his odd lack of response. That day, he had turned to glare at you.

“I’m busy y/n. I don’t have time for things like that.”

“You’re sick?” your thoughts were interrupted by his voice again. He used a tone much gentler than the one he had used that day.

“A little bit, nothing to worry about I can just call-“ you cut yourself off with a harsh cough, unable to hold back the whimper as your throat throbbed in protest.

“I’m coming home.”

Whether from his words or the fever you couldn’t tell, but a chill ran down your spine

“N-no toshi you don’t have to I’ll be fine don’t leave practice just because of me”

“I’ll stop by the store for some ingredients don’t get out of bed.”

And with that the call ended. Slowly, you took the phone away from your ear and looked at it in shock. He was leaving practice early. Something you weren’t aware he was willing to ever do.

At least not recently.

Only when the shock settled, did you realize just how much your body was protesting you sitting up. So, despite your better judgment, you lied back down, waiting in nervous anticipation for him to come home.

What might have been half an hour felt like forever as you laid in bed. Shivering underneath the comforter despite sweating profusely, rubbing your nose raw from having to blow it constantly, all whilst it felt like you were spinning.

In your haze you didn’t even hear the front door or you bedroom door open. How could you when your body demanded all the attention you had?

Wakatoshi stood frozen in the doorway, a plastic bag hanging off his arm, silent as he took in the state you were in.

How hadn’t he noticed before he left? you couldn’t have possibly entered this state within the couple of hours he was gone.

He felt a tug of unease pull at his heart and willed himself to walk up to you.

“y/n,” he called softly. sitting on your side of the bed.

You flinched at the sound of his voice not knowing he was in the room. Slowly, you opened your eyes and winced at the light in the room.

“Toshi,” you croaked pathetically.

His face softened and he brushed your damp hair away from your face, frowning when he felt how warm your forehead was.

“Hey,” he greeted, he lifted a hand and that’s when you saw a thermometer from the medicine cabinet in his hand “can you open your mouth please?“

Weakly, you did as he asked, and as it sat in your mouth, he quickly walked towards the master bathroom. Mumbling something about a towel.

You didn’t hear him however as you turned your head back towards the ceiling and already felt your eyes drooping again.

You only came to when you felt something cool against your forehead, you opened your eyes to see Toshi looking down at you with furrowed eyebrows. The thermometer beeped and when he looked at the reading the crease deepened.

Toshi disappeared for a moment again, making his presence known when he began to take the comforter off of you.

You whined as he did so, shivering even harder as air hit your body. You even sat up to try and grab it back.

“‘s cold toshi,” you slurred.

He was quick to place a thinner sheet on top of you “I know dear, but we have to get your body temperature down.”

As you pulled the blanket closer Wakatoshi opened the bag he brought with him. You heard the rattle of a pill container and then the crack of a bottle being opened. Wakatoshi turned to you and held out some medicine and water.

You reached out a shaky hand to take the medicine, placing the pill in your mouth. Wakatoshi helped you hold the bottle, noting how weak your arms were.

You sighed in temporary relief when you finished drinking, glad that your mouth felt less dry.

Wakatoshi allowed a small relieved smile to cross his face and he quickly helped you lay back down.

“I’ll make you some food, stay here.”

Once he was sure you were comfortable he made his way to the kitchen quickly getting his ingredients ready.

It was only when he was midway through washing some rice when he took a moment to pause.

When was the last time he had cooked for you?

Wakatoshi continued his task albeit feeling guilty thinking about how you’ve been the one cooking and eating dinner alone for some time now. It used to be a shared responsibility. Now he usually came home late so you would put a plate aside for him or he would go out to eat with the team.

He was still deep in though as he pushed the bedroom door open with his back, a tray consisting of a bowl of rice porridge and a cup of tea left a trail small trail of steam as he walked.

You were asleep but woke easily at the sound of his footsteps. It took a moment for your eyes to focus on him.

He gestured with the tray, “Do you think you can eat?”

You looked at the food, perfectly plated and garnished, your mouth watering slightly at the savoury smell.

“I think so. At least a little bit.”

He helped you sit up, and when he saw the weakness still in your arms he fed you himself.

You hummed contently at the first bite of food. You had missed this more than you thought you did.

After about half the bowl was done and your tea finished, you signalled that you stomached as much as your body would allow. Now with your body temperature having gone down and your stomach full you could feel yourself becoming less and less loopy. You watched quietly as he put the tray on the bedside table. When he was finished with that, he sat still on the bed and stared at the wall.

You looked at his face, despite it deceptively lacking emotion, you knew better than anyone else that something was bothering him.

However before you could ask he began to speak

“Why wasn’t I the first person you contacted when you realized that you were sick?”

You froze, looking down in your lap fiddling wIth a loose thread in the blanket.

“…Well…you’ve been busy as of late….I didn’t think it was important enough to take you out of practice. Someone less busy would have probably been willing to come.”

He slowly turned to face you. “You didn’t think that your wellbeing was important enough?”

You shrugged, “Well volleyball is always going to be your biggest priority. I’m just sick it’ll pass.”

Obvious distress crossed Ushijima’s face “y/n, you are my main priority.”

You paused. Perhaps it was time to tell him how you were really feeling instead of dancing around the subject.

“…It hasn’t felt that way lately.” you say hesitantly, your voice small.

Wakatoshi faltered. You kept looking down, almost scared to look him in the eye.

“I was content with that at first, your love of volleyball is admirable, it’s was drew me to you at first. But it always made you seem unattainable. When you asked me on that date all those years ago I was over the moon,” you paused to clear your throat huffing in annoyance as your sickness interrupted you.

“But I can only endure so much Toshi. Nowadays it feels like your going where I can’t reach. You’re always busy, which is understandable for a professional athlete… I just wish it wasn’t to the point where I’m worried about your reaction if I were to try to talk to you.”

There was a shift in the mattress. Then familiar arms that you had been longing for wrapped tightly around you.

“Toshi you’re gonna get sick.”

“It’s fine,”

“but-“

“I’m sorry y/n.”

you stiffened but stayed quiet to let him speak.

“You’ve done so much for me without complaint and I have done so little in return. i’m sorry for letting it get to this point. It took you getting this sick for me to realize.”

A stormy look crossed his face, “I… I’ve been struggling to balance work and home, in return I’ve been neglecting you and letting how tired I am influence my reactions. you don’t deserve that. you are my first priority y/n, I don’t know what I would do without you.”

You sniffled and wiped a tear that fell from your face. You didn’t even know you were crying. For a man usually so quiet and stoic, he always knew what to say to you when he needed to. It was always so endearing to you.

“If I had known you were going to take it this well I would’ve said something earlier,” you say softly.

He smiles sadly, “I haven’t been making it seem that way hmm?”

You shake you’re head but smile back, “no”

He sighs to himself but places a gentle kiss against your forehead much like how he did all those years ago. Your eyes flutter shut and you make let out a pleased sigh. You were much more comfortable than you were when you first woke up.

“We’ll talk more once you get better. I promise,” He eventually says. holding you a bit closer to him.

You nodded and snuggled closer to his chest. While it wasn’t an immediate fix, it was a start.

“Sounds good to me Toshi.”

He smiled down at you “Sleep, I’ll be here when you wake up.”

But would you mind doing a quiet, weak-looking s/o but when it comes to sports day, they joined bunch of activities with so much energy! Like they can run fast, jump high and etc!

Could you please do them with Zhongli/Albedo/Xiao/Scaramouche? Or any genshin characters you want!! Ofc, it's a modern AU!!

Sports Day

Ft: Zhongli, Albedo and Xiao (seperated)

A/N: I don't really know how to write about these characters (or lets say i just genuinely dont know how to write for male characters 💀) but i hope this is what you asked for!!! (scara isnt written in here bcs as i said in my pinned post, no unreleased characters sorry!!)

Zhongli

He would be the leader of the school swimming team

Quite busy on sports day since he's got some competitions too

You had told him you'd be very busy on sports day too

Right after he finished with all his competitions, he started hearing your name being announced for competitions

He was quite worried that you had entered competitions since to him, you were so fragile

"Here we have the mighty Y/N L/N VERSUSSSS YANFEI for tennis!!!!" The announcer was very loud indeed, as she was the one and ghostly Hu Tao.

Getting ready, you heard the whistle go off. Yanfei set the ball to you, swiftly hitting the ball back to her. After a few more hits and the ball was aimed quite high, you hit a quick spike, earning a point. Zhongli was astonished from what he just saw, Y/N???? Sporty??? He never heard of that before.

After winning gold medals for tennis, track and field, baseball and volleyball, Zhongli was genuinely terrified by you. The lazy Y/N who literally slept the whole time when Zhongli offered you to be the swimming teams manager for a day was a completely different person today???

After the day was done and you both were walking home he had so many questions.

Zhongli: You never told me you were...quite the active person.

Y/N: Practically quit, but I have gym in the morning before school.

Zhongli: Ah now I see why you're always tired at school, though what do you mean by quit?

Y/N: I used to be on national teams for fencing, so I got my skills for other sports from practicing.

Zhongli was dumbfounded. He paused and blinked, staring at you. He was too shocked.

Y/N: *sigh* Only reason I joined school competitions is because I have a deal with the head coach. He said I wouldn't have to join team trainings or P.E if I just did well in many competitions for sports day then he'll give me a good report. Thats why I always skip P.E class. Oh plus all the coaches are a pain in the ass.

Zhongli: They are quite something. But I'm very amazed by your achievements Y/N. Can't believe you get to skip P.E class too.

Albedo

Albedo was just the one in charge of making sure everybody that were competing knew where they were supposed to be

He never actually knew you played sports until he printed all the lists of competitors

He kept checking if the lists were right because he was SURE you were exactly like him

meaning not sporty and much of a nerd

It wasn't until the big day he finally found out.

"AND WHO DO WE HAVE HEREEEE??? Y/N VERSUSSSSS XIANGLING FOR FENCING!!!" Hu Tao shouted into the mic

Albedo almost spit his caprisun out hearing your name. 'So maybe my speculations were wrong and they were actually sporty?????'

To Albedo, you were just a person that sleeps whenever they can and live off coffee, the same as him. So he was quite amazed looking at you doing fencing.

Still slurping his caprisun, right after the match had ended he snuck up on you and became a whole questionnaire.

Albedo: So you're telling me that you're actually good at sports now?

Y/N: Since the age of 2, yes.

Albedo: But you never went to any training though?

Y/N: Before school training and heavy training for years.

Coach: Hey Y/N, volleyball next. And you kid, go back to your desk. There's a queue full of lost minds out there.

Y/N: Oh well, gotta go. Love ya

You kissed his cheek and ran.

Albedo: Love you too... *whispers* how can they even manage that without intense training everyday..

Xiao

The boy does javelin frfr

He was always going to before and after school training

Was clueless on why you were in a competition

You were always with him in training and slept on the bench so he thought you never really played sports

You were always handing him energy drinks after he finished training

On sports day, he was waiting for his turn on the benches. Until you came sitting next to him.

Xiao: What are you doing here?

Y/N: Waiting for my turn?

Xiao: Oh alright.

He faced the field again

He turned to you in a heartbeat

Xiao: Wait you're playing??????

Y/N: Mhmmmm

Coach: Y/N you're up!

Y/N: Coming right there! Bye, love you xiao.

He blushed intensely and soon jaw dropped when he saw your skills at javelin.

INARIZAKI MANAGER HEADCANONS BECAUSE I LOVE THEM SM PLSS. With the reader (gn or fem) as a 2nd year (dragged by either atsumu or suna) and then they're actually a really good manager! ..till they get a new ninetendo switch (genshin impact or Minecraft lmao) and just somehow is able to listen and pay attention to their practices while playing video games. Kinda like kenma yknow yknow

Inarizaki x manager

You weren’t a particular fan of sports.

When it came to sports, you were never the most athletic, nor the strongest one, or the fastest one. In fact, most of your life, you were always picked last in P.E.

So of course it came as a surprise, when a close friend of yours told you to become team manager of a volleyball team.

Inarizaki was a powerhouse, known by many, fear by all. What the hell could you bring to the table?

Suna, who currently was part of said team and your friend as well, had come up with the idea and had been pestering you non stop.

Suna and you go way back. Met at some event, became childhood friends and that friendship blossomed when both of you entered the same high-school.

Although Suna acts mostly disinterest about everything and claims he is lazy, you’ve seen him dedicate everything of his being into the sport so you felt guilty saying no. In the end you ended signing as manager despite not knowing anything.

Turns out, you have a knack for it! Managing was like buying a new video game (at least in your opinion). You just break it down in small pieces. The players are the pieces and the court is your board.

The team instantly loves you. You were always so attentive.

You were always punctual and neat which Kita always appreciated.

You would iron Atsumu’s uniform before any game because you know he liked everything perfect.

You would always pick Osamu’s favorite lunch.

Would always give great motivational speeches to the first years.

Would always stay to help Aran for whatever he needed.

Simply too good to be true.

The team already knew you liked video games, so to say thanks for all your hard work, they ended up buying you a new Nintendo switch.

Mistake from their part.

Is not like you didn’t deserve it, it’s just that… your attention… well it started to drift.

You were still organized, still did all the things you were supposed to but like your freaking eyes were always on the screen. It was annoying, scary and quite impressive.

You might not be athletic but you could easily dodge spikes without even looking. The Nintendo gave you some weird power or something.

Like at games, you are playing but at the same time annotating their plays??!!!

Everyone would see your eyes shine bright when you would play so they didn’t want to tell you to stop but like the team started to compete for your attention.

Let’s just say that you became more affectionate towards the players and they would never ever gift you another set of video games.

From the first day you entered your literature class, you had no idea that you would be partners-in-crime with Kotaro Bokuto. It wasn’t your choice, honestly. He sort of saw you when he walked in, and sat down next to you in an attempt to make a new friend.

Ever since that day, you two became inseparable. When you shared your passions, he shared his. After a few weeks, Bokuto introduced you to the volleyball team, his friends, and his best friend Akaashi.

Although you swore that you didn’t behave any differently, Bokuto insisted that, by your body language, you had a crush on his best friend.

However, he was the one that you had a crush on.

The ace swore that he would get you and his best friend together. Even if it cost him his dignity, he knew in his heart that the two of you were meant for each other.

“Bokuto I-“ you said for the nth time, trying to explain your disinterest.

“No! I swear to you! When you were talking to him, you crossed one of your ankles behind the other, and were smiling!” The white-haired male argued.

“Because I’m a friendly and awkward person! I have to keep still or else I shift my weight!” You attempted to rebut.

“I have the perfect plan for you! Let me tell you ab-“

“Bokuto, No!” You said with a sigh, “I am telling you that I do not like Akaashi like that.”

“(Y/N)-“

Before he could try and argue, the bell rang. Bokuto smiled. He knew in his heart that you were playing hard to get, and he would make sure you ended up with Akaashi.

You didn’t have Bokuto in your math class, however you did have Akaashi. After days of reviewing the situation, you opted for the best option: seeking help.

“Akaashi, I gotta ask you for a favor.” You say in exasperation, walking out of the classroom next to him.

“Oh I’m all ears!” The setter chimed, turning his attention to you.

“So, you have to keep this a secret from Bokuto. Promise you won’t tell?”

Akaashi stuck out his pinkie, “My lips are sealed.”

You chuckled and interlocked your own pinkie with his. “Alright.” After exhaling, you began to explain. “When we first met, apparently I did something with my body language that convinced Bokuto that I have a crush on you.”

The dark-haired male nodded, listening intently.

“Even though you’re a total catch, I don’t have a crush on you. But he’s so adamant on getting us together, and won’t understand when I tell him I don’t like you in that way. In all reality, I-“

“Have a crush on Bokuto.” Akaashi finished for you, a sly smile tugging at his lips.

You closed your mouth and hung your head low, “Unfortunately.” You teased in a serious tone. “And I don’t know how to tell him! I’m worried he’s going to get a partner before I can do anything!”

“If I’ve known Bokuto for this long, he isn’t the sharpest tack. But, he is very good at picking things up that he reads.” Akaashi noted, “So maybe you should just write him a letter?”

“I think that could work.” You reply, sighing. “What if he doesn’t feel the same way?”

“All you can do is try.” Akaashi chirped in reply.

Suddenly, the dark-haired male gasped and pushed you into an empty classroom, “Quick, hide!”

“Wh- Akaashi!” You yelped.

The setter peeked outside the window to the classroom, heart breaking at the sight before him.

“Do you wanna tell me what the hell’s going on?” You asked impatiently.

“No. The threat has passed. Now we can go.” He held out his arm, you grabbed onto it with an eye roll and a smile.

During a quiet period in your history class, you hastily scribbled out a letter. Sure it was messy, but it conveyed all that you wanted to say. You snuck a glance at a very focused Bokuto, smiling sheepishly.

When the bell rang, you walked with Bokuto in the hallway and met with Akaashi at your lockers. The dark-haired male shot you a look, resulting in you sighing and turning to your best friend.

“H-Hey, Bokuto I-“

“Ooh are you blushing?” The ace teased, “Is that for Akaashi?? He’ll love it!”

“No, Bokuto-“

“You can do this! You two are meant for each other!”

“Kotaro! It’s for you!”

The Ace’s eyes refocused as he jumped back slightly. “M-Me?”

“Yes, I really had a hard time with this. This was the best way to convey what-“

“(Y/N)… I-I’m really sorry but, I’ve been with my partner for about two months now. I’m not going to break up with them so I can go out with one of my friends.” The white-haired male said sheepishly, offering a sympathetic smile.

In that moment, Akaashi swore he saw your soul leave your body. He stood behind you, secretly taking your hand to show you he was there for you.

“N-No don’t worry about it! You can just- here give me that.” Within a second, your beautifully heartfelt letter was ripped into three pieces. You sighed as you looked upon them, tears welling in your eyes. Finally, you turned to Akaashi and your head fell onto his shoulder.

“I really am sorry-“

“Bokuto, we’ll talk at practice. You should probably head over now.” Akaashi said sternly.

The ace nodded and walked away. He couldn’t help but feel dejected, but he couldn’t abandon his partner for someone he barely knew.

“Are you okay, starshine?” Akaashi whispered, arms moving to wrap around you in comfort.

“No. H-How did we not know he was taken?”

“That’s why I pulled you into the classroom,” the dark-haired male said gently, “I saw him walking with them. I figured it was nothing, but I didn’t want you to get the wrong idea. I guess I was right.”

You let out a watery chuckle. “God. The world is such a weird place.” Sighing, you nuzzle into Akashi, “I’ll be fine. I just need a minute to be hugged.

“I can help you in that department.” The setter replied, holding you tighter, “And I’ve got a proposal for you.”

“Oh?” You looked up at him.

“If I do recall…” he smiled, “Someone in your life is a total catch, is he not?”

A new world opened up to you in that moment. After all, the world did work in weird ways.

You chuckled and hid your face in his shoulder. “I accept your proposal.”

“Omi-san! Pleaseeeee!”

“For the 74th times, no.”

“Wow, talk about cold,” Atsumu laughed, watching as Hinata slumped in defeat after pestering Sakusa for 1 week straight.

“Nah, talk about rejection,” Bokuto commented, laughing, slipping on his hoodie.

“I think you mean desperation,” Inunaki added, watching as his opposite hitter trial behind the outside hitter. Meian wanted to sigh into his hands, his eyelids were going crazy trying to stay sane. For the last seven days, the Miyagi boy has been asking the ravenette to fetch you, Kageyama’s younger sister, from the airport. You had been overseas for so long and recently coming home, with Osaka being your stop since you were moving to Kansai.

The thing was, you were okay with taking public transport, but Kageyama was adamant about not letting you do that. Atsumu volunteered eagerly, but was quickly shut down by your brother, saying he was more afraid of the faux blonde being near his sister than letting her go overseas alone. Bokuto would love to fetch you, but he has his entire day booked with interviews and photoshoot on the very day you were set to arrive. The poor owl boy sulked for a few hours, until Hinata relayed the message that you would pay the team a visit to stop his sulking. Hinata, of all people, would love to pick you up from the airport too!

If he had a freaking car-

Which was why the only one left was Sakusa.

It wasn’t as if he disliked you, nor did he like you because to be fair, he barely knew you. Honestly, Sakusa didn’t even remember Kageyama having siblings, since his behaviour indicated him being more of an only child. When Hinata listed out all the positive traits about you to convince him, Sakusa only stared at his teammate and wondered if he was getting set up into a blind date or something. But he seriously just wanted to be alone on his off day-

“Just pick and drop us off. I promise, she’s super hygienic! In exchange, 1 month supply of Lysol.”

“Give me the time of her arrival details and the drop-off address,” Sakusa said immediately in reply.

“YOU ARE MY LIFE SAVIOUR!” Hinata exclaimed, and quickly sent the details over to Sakusa in seconds.

Sakusa rolled his eyes and looked at the message he received. You were set to arrive tomorrow 9:25 am in Kansai International Airport via Japan Airline, and it was a direct flight from Heathrow. Gosh, Sakusa could never do that. Just imagine the amount of germs in that still air for over 12 hours with a bunch of strangers and their god-knows-what bacteria.

“Oh, and this is the address that [y/n] is headed to!” Hinata smiled, dropping another text to Sakusa so that he can plan his route and its details. The ravenette glanced at it, and saw that the area that you were staying was just a few minutes away from their home base. Well, then planning a proper driving route wasn’t that big of a deal for him now.

“Alright, now that we’ve settled the situation with Hinata’s girlfriend, can we all go home now?” Meian asked with a clap, to which the ginger head retorted that you were just his favourite junior that helped him a lot when he was in Brazil, so this was just a small favour.

“I remember she was quite the cutie back then,” Atsumu mused aloud, “but Tobio-kun refused to let me get her number. Wonder how she’s grown up?” A cheeky smile grew on the faux blonde as he walked out of the locker room with Bokuto, Hinata, and Sakusa.

“She’s super cute, too!” Bokuto added in. He remembered meeting you when he dropped by Fukurodani during their summer training camp after graduation, and met you being mentored by Yachi. It seemed you got along with Kenma and Akaashi due to having similar energy. “You’re lucky you get to see her first, Sakusa! But I’m going to buy her all her favourite snacks, so I’m going to be her number one!”

“That doesn’t make sense, and I don’t care,” Sakusa sighed and made his way to his car. He sanitized his car handle before quickly getting in. He didn’t care about how you viewed him—he highly doubted you even remember him anyway. You two barely interacted aside from polite greetings once or twice during competitions. And it appears you were overseas upon graduating, so you probably met a handful of people that were more interesting.

“Thank you, Omi-san! Kageyama said he’ll send you a month’s worth of hand sanitisers,” Hinata informed, and Sakusa nodded.

“Guess it’s fine to do this favour.”

They soon reached the airport, and after parking his car, the two guys made their way to your arrival gates. It wasn’t a long wait and soon Hinata jumped on his feet multiple times, waving at you. Sakusa looked up as well, and his eyes widened by a fraction. He knew Bokuto called you cute, but right now you were more than that.

You were cute, yes, but your eyes were so beautiful and innocent. With the face mask that you were wearing, it only made your eyes even more prominent and bright. Your outfit was quite tasteful as well. You had a cream turtle-neck along with a pair of skinny jeans, accompanied by a long coat and boots.

You smiled widely underneath your mask, finally seeing your senior after so long, and net to him was Sakusa. Your heart might have stopped for a second as you realized just how amazing he looked. However, you haven’t forgotten your manners and so you removed your mask to reveal your face.

“Welcome home, [y/n]! Hope your flight was okay?”

“Glad to be home. And yeah, I managed to fly business class so it was tolerable. Thank you for fetching me Hinata, Sakusa-san. I hope it wasn’t too much trouble.”

“No way! Right, Omi-san?” Hinata asked, but he was met with silence. The ginger turned around and stared at Sakusa, which broke the latter from his daydream.

“It’s fine, you stay near our gym anyway, plus I highly doubt Kageyama will let anyone else fetch you,” the ravenette explained, scolding himself for getting distracted by your face. What the hell, he was starting to become weird. He must be staying near Atsumu for far too long.

“Oh, is that so?” You laughed softly at the coincidence, “then I guess we can all hang out.”

Hinata reached over and grabbed your luggage, asking if you were hungry. You easily decipher his hidden message, knowing he must have woken up and left home with an empty tummy.

“Oh, sooo hungry,” you said teasingly, “where do you guys want to go? My treat, of course. Sakusa-san, I hope this arrangement is okay? I understand if you have other plans for the day, you can just drop me and Hinata off and go about your day?”

Something about this offer you presented made Sakusa a little annoyed, and he shook his head. “It’s fine, we can go grab breakfast together.”

Together, he liked the sound of that.

“Eyyy, let’s go!” Hinata cheered.

Right, he’s here too...

But because none of you had any idea what to get, the three of you settled for the most basics of basics and headed to Kansai University’s Starbucks to grab a quick bite. On the way, you and Hinata were animatedly catching up; well, more like Hinata asking about your life in Kingston University.

Could have sworn Bokuto said she was a quiet type. Must be because of Hinata, was what he thought to himself.

Although he wasn’t one for loud noises, he can’t say he hated it when you speak so fondly of your time in school. Still, he felt his stomach churning at the fact that Hinata brought out this side of you. Even in his limited memories of you, none of them gave him the impression of you being so talkative.

He chopped it up to him being hungry and acting differently due to hunger.

“Oh, and I got to see Alisa-san a few months ago, too. How can someone look so good without even trying? I felt like a peasant standing next to her, they were totally judging…!” You gasped, clasping your cheeks as you remembered how much Alisa clung to you whilst people stared, and you were so self-conscious about your appearance.

“Alisa-san is very pretty, but you are, too! I’m sure people were staring because you and Alisa-san looked so good together!” Hinata grinned, and you felt your face heating up at such a compliment.

“Quit lying! You know they’re just looking at Alisa-san! Anyway!” You tried to change the topic after noticing a certain ravenette stealing glances at them.

To say Sakusa’s eyes narrowed into a slit thinner than a venomous viper was an understatement.

But why?

“This place is so nice!! I guess being a popular streamer like Kenma has its perks, huh!” Hinata exclaimed and awed, looking at every corner of your fully furnished house. Thanks to the moving company you hired, they perfectly set up your home as how you detailed and presented in a few documents you sent to them.

Your new dwelling was in Nukatacho, Higashiosaka. A pleasant 2LDK house in a charming neighbourhood for ¥16,800,000 (≈ USD $130K). Since it was your very first home, it did seem expensive. Initially, this abode was at the bottom of your list because of the price, but Tobio told you to just purchase it, with him paying half of the house as a gift to you. On top of your own income you made as a VTuber, and having your own successful merch line, this house suddenly shot up to your first choice.

“I’m lucky to have my brother’s help with this too,” you laughed as you came down from your bedroom after removing your coat. You opened up your house for invitation to MSBY, stating that they were welcome to visit after their training, since you guys found out that your home was lesser than half an hour drive away from their training gym.

“Awesome! Atsumu-san and Bokuto-san will love to! I think we better leave so that you can rest up, okay? Just text me if you need anything!” Hinata waved and gave you a hug before removing the house slippers, heading out the door.

“Rest well,” Sakusa did the same and went to his car, ready to send Hinata home and to catch up on his deep cleaning for the month.

Once they left, you mindlessly went to your sofa and plopped down. “...Rest well...” You mumbled the two words spoken to you as Sakusa’s face surfaced in your mind. You bend forward and groaned. You knew he became even more handsome after watching his matches but seeing him in person? Lord you hoped you were not acting weird in his eyes.

You decided not to dwell in things that already happened and went to turn on music from your sound system before going around to inspect your new home. Your family actually came to make sure everything was done correctly, and every aspect of the house was properly furnished but you just wanted to make sure since you were going to live alone now. Your closest kin was Tobio, but with him being in Kodaira, you would have to spent close too ¥16,000 and 5 hours to even visit.

No thanks.

At first your parents asked why stay in Osaka of all places when you could go back to Miyagi. The housings there were bigger and cheaper, plus familiarity isn’t such a bad thing but they should have known Miyagi wasn’t your first choice. It’s not that you had bad memories in your hometown, but you just wanted to move somewhere else. It wasn’t that big of a deal, honestly, but maybe your parents felt somewhat guilty about not having spent enough time with their kids growing up because they were both working hard to provide for three children.

Evening came sooner than you expected after having spent your entire day setting up your office, the only place that was left untouched on your request since you wanted to revamp it. With your work now revolving around online and merchandise, you figured a minimalistic aesthetic would help and thus working on it, wanting it to be a room that doesn’t stress you out no matter how hard you worked; you knew how surroundings would affect your mental state. You were a fast worker, despite getting a few calls in between from your family and friends.

Your phone rang with the caller ID of Hinata this time and you unknowingly groaned, dropping to the floor ungracefully. You were so tired and hungry but you have no food since you family couldn’t buy any groceries when they dropped down, not when your refrigerator wasn’t sent.

You picked up the call after a few ring, hearing your senior’s energetic voice on the other side.

“[y/n]! Bokuto ended his photoshoot and was wondering if you wanted to go grab some shabu-shabu together? Atsumu-san can pick you up!”

“Oh no it’s fine! I stay near the train station anyway so just tell me the address and I’ll meet you guys!” You said, slowly getting up from the floor to get ready.

“Awesome! I’ll text you right now!”

You received the address of the restaurant, Kisoji, and noticed that it was also near a train station. You smiled at the convenience , not needing to worry about getting lost.

“We’re meeting in an hour’s time, see you!”

“Got it,” you nodded. After hanging up, you took a quick shower and changed into denim shorts and an oversized turtleneck pullover before making your way out once you made sure all your valuables were stored in your handbag.

The train ride was horrible with the rush hours and you honestly believed packed sardines were not even as pressed up as you were during the entire ride. Maybe you should have ordered a car right instead but you just told yourself that you wanted to experience it once, at least.

And it was safe to say you hated it so from now on, you were only getting a car ride.

“Ah! It’s [y/n]-chan!” Atsumu was the first time spot you and waved. Aside from the setter, you saw Hinata and Bokuto as well, but Sakusa was nowhere to be seen. Were you disappointed? Just a tad bit, but seeing the rest was just as great. You were definitely going to post about this meeting on twitter just to watch your brother freak out finding it out on twitter.

“Thank you for the food!” You four echoed before digging in and catching up.

Fun fact/trivia:

I actually didn’t see the address of the apartment I chose for [y/n] until I compared it on Google Maps with MSBY’s home base and noticed they were in the same area. It’s complete coincident! So… it's meant to be *Kappa*

Genshin Boys In A Volleyball Team (HC)

Short Headcanons about some genshin boys positions in a volleyball team!

A/N: Hey everyone im back with my monthly (more like 2 months but its fine) post! I'm so sore from conditioning for vb but ik it'll be worth it in the long run. It's the only sport I play so I probably won't do this with any other sports lol

Character/s: Zhongli, venti, kaeya, Xiao, childe, ayato, Razor, itto (Not x reader)

Fandom: Genshin Impact

Warning/s: in no way proofread and it was written at 11pm 😰

♤-Of course, Zhongli is the captain, he's overall very cool headed and calm. He's best at blocking. Not the best at "cheering them on", but he's good with words and knows exactly what his teammates want to hear.

♤-I was originally going to say Venti would be a good digger/libero, but now that I think about it being up in the air and blocking (MAYBE spiking) seems more fitting for him.

♤-Kaeya seems like he'd have a very strong serve and spike. Although he moves fast, he's not very good at passing, so when he's in the back row, he gets switched out with Razor often.

♤-When Xiao first joined he was focusing on blocking and some hitting, but now he's the teams' main setter. He can think quickly, and knows who to set it to in that situation.

♤-Childe is DEFINITELY best at hitting, a true powerhouse. If only his aim wasn't garbage when he serves

♤-Ayato isn't as strong as Childe, but he's quick on his feet and does really well with quick sets in the middle of the court.

♤-Razor is the teams libero. Best at passing, and good at staying low to the ground, so he's perfect for the backrow.

♤-I just know Itto's would be a serving specialist. I don't he's good at much else, aside from cheering everyone on from the sidelines (yes this is Itto slander).

Persona 5 oc !

Hi there! As I know I have only posted twisted wonderland ocs and two genshin ocs but now I am here to post one of my persona 5 ocs! I know a few of my friends know about her but yeah ^^

I made her in gacha a long time ago and the other three are picrews that are more of an idea of what she looks like ^^ Her name is Suzume Maruki, the daughter of Takuto Maruki. She's a second year and she's in class 2-E. She's not apart of the phantom thieves though she helps Mishima with the Phan-site (And because she's shipped with him). She does play sports herself though it's mainly soccer, basketball and the track team. Though she has a big interest in musicals. Ryuji is one of her best friends.

genshin (modern au??? earth au??) sports headcanons for da soul ❤️

- so anemo is speedy fast, since having two anemo characters in your party helps you go faster, so obviously i gotta put all of them in track or some other running sport

- xiao does high jump and long jump, he is obviously the best at it. he’s very serious about training but also sometimes he overdoes it and gets hurt. he works thru the pain tho but like calm down. he’s always got some sort of injury but whatever he’s state champ

- kazuha does high jump, but he’s pretty well rounded tbh so he’s a decent sprinter and distance runner too

- jean does shotput look at her skill of course she does shotput. she’s so good at it too. but she’s also a really good mid-long distance runner. girls got the 800 in the bag

- sayu does sprints she is so fucking good at the 100m, 200m, and 400m and you’d never expect it from someone so tiny. um. i think she needs to use her tanuki ball tho and idk if that’s allowed in genshin track. maybe?? if she’s not in her ball she’s not very fast lol

- HOWEVER sayu also does discus. look at her charged attack spin. any claymore user that spins for their charged attack can throw a damn good discus throw.

- i’m so fucking sorry sucrose mains but i don’t think she can do anything. she’s a science nerd she was in the science club until someone convinced her to join the track team. she does the short sprints cause they’re over quickly but she is so bad at them. however, she will talk her teammates ears off about how adequate sleep, water, and food all play into your performance at a meet, and how metabolism and digestion and lactic acids work.

- bennett is on the track team too and he’s so enthusiastic about being there but god he is not that good 💔 and he trips a lot which fucks him up during races

- venti is their “coach” but he doesn’t rly coach all that much? he’s good at jumps tho. and like he knows his shit he just slacks off about it lol

- heizou doesn’t do track he’s a boxer tho

- yanfei does volleyballlll i know this is a common hc cause of her normal attack but yea she’s a volleyball girlie

- i think xiangling would also be a volleyball girlie honestly? she gives me the vibes

- yoimiya too she is ALSO a volleyball girlie ❤️

- geo is weightlifting i’d think. itto can lift anything but he’s also the guy that will do unsafe things at the gym

- noelle is the girl that racks up multiple 45s on her bar and goes at it like it’s nothing. but also she’s so embarrassed about it if you praise her for it

- albedo is a fencer i don’t think he lifts much

- gorou does weight training but also i don’t think he’s really in it for the bulking up? like he does HIIT not just solely weightlifting

- i know kujou sara’s weapon is a bow but as a CHARACTER she would be an archer like she just gives me those vibes. that IS her sport

- amber also gives me vibes of archery being Her Sport but i feel like she’s a runner too. i don’t think she does track, maybe cross country, but she’s naturally a good runner regardless. maybe soccer? something that involves running but isn’t Just running

- traveler is good at everything honestly. any sport you put them in they’d perform decently if not excellently

- barbara works at the medic tent lol she has to wrap xiao in bandages. she’s an idol so like she does idol workouts. idk i know idols need to be some level of fit to do all that stuff onstage

- hu tao ….. tennis….. i think it’s her burst animation that makes me think that but tennis

- beidou is a swimmer, since she has that stamina cost reduction talent, but she can lift a Lot too. i don’t think she’s ever gone to the gym tho she just has a very active lifestyle. so if you ask her how much she lifts she couldn’t really tell you but it is a Lot

- i think mona’s a really strong swimmer too but she doesn’t like it

- since lisa is dying or something i think she might be too frail to do anything super hardcore but she has an elliptical at home that she uses. or one of those bikes
