Cutetober: Sharing a Fuzzy Blanket, ft. Genzarya
I’ll have you know that this is all @rondoel‘s fault. Go check out the ridiculously cute and amazing art they do for it and many, many others.
It’s short, but I hope you enjoy!
Coming back to a blizzard after an already cold, miserable, and lengthy mission was the last thing Genji wanted, but since he had been stationed in an old Overwatch facility in the Swiss Alps, he really did not have much of a choice. Weather was not exactly something he had control over, as much as he may have wanted to at the moment.
He was used to mountain weather and the fluctuating, freezing storms it often brewed at this altitude, but a few sunny days certainly wouldn’t hurt anyone. He might have actually been able to go outside every once in a while and enjoy the view. As it was, snow was piling on the windowsills, harsh winds battering the windows and freezing the corners, making the glass foggy.
The ninja sighed, wrapping himself up tighter in the Overwatch uniform jacket he had been wearing religiously for the past two weeks. He had made himself a cup of tea, the concoction sitting on the coffee table of the commons steaming. Too hot to drink just yet, but the mug felt good to hold.
Genji took it and wrapped his fingers around it, the fine tuned receptors on each hand alerting him of its heat. He could only feel some of it. Muted, as if he was wearing a glove. He had to say, as far as prosthetic hands went, his weren’t too bad. Genji smiled at the thought of Angela hearing him say that about some of her finest works of biotech, how she would chastise him for not taking it seriously.
There was a time where he had torn it to shreds, when he would have given anything to have his human body back. That time had passed, though, and he was grateful for her work the way he should have been from the start.
Genji blinked out of his thoughts at the sound of footsteps shuffling through the door, heavy and sure. Footsteps he knew. He leaned his head back with a grin, the familiar shock of pink hair greeting him, making his smile widen. Zarya returned the gesture, leaning against the couch with her hip.
“They said you would not be back until the storm was over. You came in before it became this bad, then?” She wondered, Genji bobbing his head, turning on the couch to face her.
“It was close, we barely got in on time. But it’s better than having to stay in the jet until it blew over.”
“Mm, much better for both of us. I am glad to have you back,” Zarya murmured, pressing a kiss to the top of the ninja’s head, then rubbing her hand fondly through the greying spikes.
“Can I make you some coffee to keep you warm? It is going to be a cold night, from the looks of it.”
Genji shook his head and raised his tea mug, patting the couch with his other hand.
“Beat you to it. But, I won’t say no to an extra warm body beside me.”
Zarya smiled and took up the offer, Genji making enough room for her next to him.
“You can have some of this too, if you want,” Genji offered, gesturing to the mug before curling up against Zarya’s side. She wrapped most of him with just her arm easily, taking his hand and lacing their fingers over her stomach.
“Perhaps later. It is not too cold for me,” She sighed as she leaned back, head resting against the back of the couch.
“I missed you. Could have used an extra tank on that mission too, would have made things a lot easier,” Genji started, making small talk as he listened to Zarya’s heartbeat.
“What, and take away all the challenge for you? Is no fun then,” Zarya laughed, Genji chuckling with her.
“I missed you too. The base is too quiet without you here.”
“You’ll be missing that here in a few days.”
“No, I like the life you bring with you everywhere. It is one of my favourite things about you.”
Genji looked up at Zarya as she smiled down at him, stretching up to steal a quick kiss. He shivered a bit as he snuggled back against her, the chill in the room getting stronger as the light faded outside. Zarya seemed to notice, shifting to sit up after a few more minutes.
“Here, I have something you will like. Let me get it and bring it back for you,” She told him, Genji loathe to let her leave, but nodding anyways.
“Hurry back. My tea only warms me on the inside.”
“Where is all that patience you supposedly learned?”
Genji huffed a laugh as she left the room, curling his legs up into his jacket now that he did not have his own personal Siberian bear next to him anymore. Zarya was back after a few minutes, Genji perking up at the sight of numerous fuzzy blankets hanging from her arms, now sporting a pair of polar bear pyjamas.
“You will not be cold with these, I know it!” She grinned, tossing a few onto the couch. Another one went around her shoulders, and she held out her arms for him.
Genji went into them willingly, humming contentedly as he was wrapped up tightly between them. For being stuck in a frigid base, this was certainly the best way he could imagine spending the evening.

A “late” Birthday gift for @sapphireangelbunny (to be honest, i was away on a holiday to America)
For her gift i draw her two favorite ships in both normal and a pregnancy vesion. Dragonsquire and Genzarya.
The first one is Zarya hugging Genji like a “big, fuzzy Siberian bear” which is a actual voice line.
The second which is a pregnancy one is Zarya at the gym doing weights and Genji has done some but he’s looking after her and the baby so he was kissing her belly to give her some motivation and love too.
Third is Hanzo taking Brigitte out for a data at Hanamura for some yoya and some calming down also (like the Hanzo sitting dowm emote)
The final is probably my favorite pregnancy fanart ever, Hanzo has cook Brigitte some Spaghetti (or Brigitti) and Brigitte know that her Husband know her too much. Also i love her casual clothing even if she was pregnant and i hope Blizzard will make it into a skin.
Enjoy
