Physical Touch
George Weasley x reader
Tumblr media
Summary: George Weasley discovers his love language of physical touch in his relationship, leading to a deeper understanding and connection.
Just wrote something short to get the idea out of my system.
****
In their sixth year at Hogwarts, George Weasley and you had stumbled into a relationship as unexpectedly as one might stumble upon a hidden room in the castle. It was fresh, exhilarating, and filled with the kind of magic that didn't require a wand.
In the bustling corridors and beneath the ancient trees of the Hogwarts grounds, George had a way of speaking without words. His fingers would absentmindedly play with a strand of your hair during study sessions, his hand would find yours under the table in the Great Hall, and during quiet moments in the common room, his thumb would draw invisible patterns on your skin. These small gestures were his language of affection, his way of saying you mattered in a world that was often too loud and chaotic.
One crisp autumn day, as you both lounged by the Black Lake, watching the giant squid's tentacles occasionally break the surface, Fred Weasley, George's inseparable twin, ambled over with a mischievous grin. "Merlin’s beard, George! Do you need a magical adhesive to keep your hands off her for a second?"
George's smile faltered, and a shadow of doubt crossed his face. You laughed it off, assuming it was just Fred being Fred, but something shifted in George after that.
He became hesitant, his touches fewer and more restrained. The corridors seemed colder, the classes longer, and the common room a bit less welcoming. You felt the change but couldn't understand it. Why had George, always so warm and playful, suddenly turned into a distant echo of himself?
One chilly evening, in a quiet corner of the library, surrounded by ancient tomes and the soft glow of candles, you decided to breach the silence. "George, what's wrong? You've been acting so differently."
He looked up from his book, his eyes meeting yours with a vulnerability you hadn't seen before. "I... Fred made a comment the other day. About me always touching you. I started thinking, maybe it's too much. Maybe I'm making you uncomfortable."
You reached out, your hand covering his. "George, do you know what love languages are?"
He shook his head, confusion written across his face.
"They're the ways we express and feel love. Yours, I think, is physical touch. It's not too much, George. It's just your way of showing you care. I love it. It makes me feel close to you."
A small, relieved smile broke through George's uncertainty. "Really? I never thought about it like that. I just... feel more 'me' when I'm close to you."
Grinning, you nudged his shoulder playfully. "Well, feel free to be 'you'. Hogwarts can be a big, lonely castle, but your touch makes it feel a lot more like home."
From that moment, George's hesitancy melted away. His touches returned, each one a silent word in a language only the two of you understood. And in the middle of a school full of magic and mysteries, you found comfort and warmth in the simplest magic of all - a touch, a look, a connection that needed no spells to be real.

You were surprised how quickly you were getting through this book. Determined and excited to start the third instalment in the series.
George had been out for hours, you had noticed the rain softly washing against the window, wondering when he would pop back in to see you again. Although it wouldn’t surprise you if he kept practising in the rain.
You eyes skim over the words, a small smile on your face as Archer and Astrid, the two main characters finally shared their first kiss. You continue to read ahead, pulling the strawberry lollipop from your lips as you turn the page, excitement filling your body. You place the sweet back in your mouth, sinking down into the bed a little bit more, knowing your coming up to the juicy part of the novel. Small butterflies fill your stomach as Archer and Astrid pine over each other, both taking their relationship to the next level, solidifying their love.
“Love?”
“Sweetheart?”
Your book falls into your lap, your face a slight tint of pink, eyes adjusting to the man in front of you. Slightly wet with rain and sweat, his shirt off and on the end of the bed. Your eyes rake over his body, your mind wandering back to your book as you rub your thighs together, which doesn’t go as unnoticed as you thought.
“Sorry.” You shake your head, pulling the blanket up your body, feeling a slight shame for being caught with smut.
George smirks, taking the lollipop from between your lips, slightly glossy with sticky strawberry residue and spit. He places the sweet in his mouth, his hand under your chin. Tilting your face to look up at him.
“Love, don't tell me I’m losing you to your book boyfriend.”
You pout slightly, before you can speak the lollipop is back against your lips. You frown, swirling your tongue around the sweet, watching George’s eyes lock onto your actions as the bed dips under his weight, him resting on his knees in front of you.
“Please keep reading.” He insists, a swift wink sent your way. Moving the blanket off your legs.
A gasp falls past your lips, your fingers gripping the stem of the lollipop to ensure its safety.
“George, I don’t-”
He places his hand around your throat, his face inches from yours, the sweet smell of strawberry wafting between you.
“Shh, darling, I simply can’t take you away from this book, I’ll occupy myself.”
George grabs the book from your lap, his eyes quickly skimming the words, a small smirk on his lips. He tuts, shaking his head before, his fingers tracing down the top of your thighs, slipping between your legs, tracing the outside of your panties.
“Ah, no wonder your panties are wet.”
Blush creeps across your face, your eyes slightly wide as the embarrassment of him reading the smut washes over you. You bury your head in the book, wishing it would swallow you and help you escape this shame.
George chuckles, laying down on his stomach, his lips kissing up your thighs, biting the soft skin with every second kiss.
“I want to know who you prefer by the end.”
His fingers hook inside your panties, pulling them down your legs.
“Me or your fictional man.”
You roll your eyes, your heart hammering in your chest.
“Don’t be like that.” You mumble, his warm breath fanning against your folds.
“If you stop, I stop.” His tongue softly licks up and down your slit, an eruption of butterflies soars through your stomach.
“George.” You whisper moan, heat filling your body.
“Don’t stop love, I'm enjoying this.”
You sigh, picking the book up and resuming where you left off. George kisses your folds, his tongue slipping back between them, circling your clit while you re-read the same sentence.
Fuck, this is harder than it seems.
“Yes.” You moan, your grip on the book tightening, your hips rocking slightly.
“Read it to me, darling.”
“Uh.” The sound falls from your lips as his wraps around your clit, sucking on the sensitive bud. Your eyes lock with his as he softly drags his tongue up your slit.
“Enlighten me, I won’t ask again.”
You nod, quickly picking the book back up and finding where you left off while George continues to play with your pussy. You clear your throat before reading aloud to him.
“Archer gripped Astrid's hair, his hand pulling the strands around his palm. He liked the contrast between her red locks and his skin. He continued to thrust into her with heated passion- Fuck George uh.”
George chuckles against your clit, his fingers now slowly pulling in and out of you.
“Astrid moaned something that caused Archer to slow his thrusts, wanting to hear- fuck just like that - wanting to hear more of what she could offer him. He knew if he kept it at this pace she would beg, a situation Archer only dreamt of. Astrid rocked her hips back, Archer's grip tightening on the strands of hair, pulling her back against his chest, his hands falling from her fiery red locks and groping - George Oh- her bo- Yes, Yes, uhh - her boobs.”
Your head tilts back, George's pace picking up both his fingers and his tongue. The book falls on your chest, your finger tangling in his hair, chasing your hair. You rock your hips against his lips, his hands slipping under you and squeezing your ass, helping to support your slightly elevated angle.
“I’m close.”
George simply responds by humming against your clit, his fingers curling inside of you. Your back arches off the bed, your book falling off your chest and onto the floor with a small thud.
“C-cumming” You moan, your vision blurry as you squeeze your eyes shut.Your teeth biting against the strawberry lollipop as it shatters in your mouth. George slows his actions, small aftershocks shooting through your body, your legs twitching. You release a deep sigh as George pulls his fingers out of your pussy, his lips glistening with a mix of your wetness and cum.
He reaches for the lollipop stick between your teeth. You simply open your mouth showing him the shattered remnants as he smirks, leaning forward and capturing your tongue in his mouth. Intertwining his with yours and savouring the strawberry flavour before pulling away with a lick of his lips.
“You should read to me more often.”
You simply blush, hiding your face in your hands and pulling the blanket back up over your legs.

George Weasley - What Matters
Tumblr media
Pairing : George Weasley x (she/her) Reader Word Count : 0.8k Warning : Takes place on the night after the Seven Potters event. Not proofread I'm too tired. Synopsis : Soothing conversation after what seems to be the greatest nightmare the couple had to live through. Notes : Part of Shadowbriar's 2024 Valentines Project. If you like this story and would like to support me, please visit my kofi page and perhaps get me a coffee?☕
"Have you ever imagined a world where we’re not together?”
George frowns, lifting from the bed to lay on his side, his arm supporting his head. He watches her closely, seeing the glimmer of uncertainty in her eyes. Supposed the nightmare of him arriving at the Burrow with blood soaking his shirt earlier was still etched in her mind.
The plan was a success, should one argue. Their objective was met. Harry is now safe and sound, sleeping in Ron’s room like a baby. Though some sacrifices needed to be made, loss to mourn and cry for, at least knowing that what they fought for was achieved would be the softer side of the bed they’ll sleep on tonight.
“No, never.” He says firmly, trying to provide some comfort for her “Why would I ever think that?”
She shrugs, “Reasons.”
Gently, George reaches for her hand and places it to his chest. He hopes that it could ease her wary mind a little. He wanted her to feel his heart beat, to feel his heat, to feel him. He knows that it would take more than sweet words and tender embraces tonight to get them through the night, to get them just a blink of sleep no matter how sore and aching their bodies are, but he has no idea how else he could comfort her when he too was still a little shaken from the event that occurred.
“I’m sorry,” She whispers, her voice shaky as she tries her best not to let the tears fall “I should be the one comforting you, but I just—”
“Shh, it’s alright, Darling,” George says as he pulls her close “It’s okay. I’m right here.”
“I could have lost you.”
“But you didn’t,” He reassures, patting her head gently “You’ll never lose me.”
“But I almost did, George. I almost lost you.”
“Love,” George pulls away a little, staring deep into her eyes with that boyish smile “It would take much more than Voldy’s gothic underling to keep us apart, trust me.”
She forces a smile, one that didn’t truly reach her eyes. Her stare was still vacant, like she’s trying to comprehend her surroundings and finding firm stepping after the rug beneath her feet was pulled. There has been no greater horror, no bigger fear and terror than the one she felt a couple hours ago.
“I can’t lose you,” She says to him “I just can’t.”
“I know. I can’t lose you, either.” He says gently, caressing her cheek “I’m here. I’ll always be here.”
“What’s left of you, you mean.”
George raised an eyebrow, “Meaning?”
“You lack an ear,” She tries to jest, smiling slightly bigger though her eyes still welled of tears “Can’t decide if it makes you lose a couple points in the appearance department or if it enhances it.”
“The latter, of course. You have one hell of an unkillable boyfriend,” He says proudly, grinning “Reckon muggles write it on their papers? A bloody ear fell from the sky. Imagine the horror!”
Her laughter finally breaks. Though it didn’t last as long as George wished it would, the lingering smile on her lips was enough to tell him that the storm is slowly passing. Gently, he leans in and kisses her. How the night went by was certainly unideal but now that she’s here, laying on his bed, everything feels alright. Like the pain on his ear was reduced into a slight itch and the soreness of his body was caused by nothing but a typical quidditch practice.
The sigh she let go as they parted lifted tons of her burden. The corners of her lips were still curled, satisfied with the solace they could both find in each other though chaos still unravels around them. It was modest and unadorned, but much more than enough to soothe both of their scarred minds.
“I love you,” She says softly “I don’t want to ever imagine a world without you.”
“Then don’t,” George answers “Don’t imagine it, don’t think about it, don’t worry about it because it would never happen. It’s us or nothing, remember? That’s all that matters.”
She chuckles, “That’s a bit extreme now, init? Us or nothing?”
“Well, I wouldn’t have anyone other than you,” He argues, raising an eyebrow “Do you have anyone you’d have other than me?”
“There’s a short list of possible names.” She jokes once again “You’re in my top three at the moment, honestly.”
“I hate you.”
“Okay, top five now from that comment.”
George let out a satisfied laughter, pulling her head close to his chest that she could feel the echo of his chuckle and the steady beating of his heart. Her arms now encircle his waist. There seems to be too much space between them tonight though their bodies were cramped together on such a tiny bed. No close is close enough for the two right now.
“I hope you know I didn’t mean that.” She whispers to his shirt “There could be no one but you.”
“I know,” George says, planting a kiss to the crown of her head “I know, Sweetheart, I know.”

The Lore family was one of the most prejudiced pureblood families in the entire wizarding world. The entire family were Slytherins and Juliette Lore, the youngest of the family, was one as well.
She couldn’t help but notice how surprised her parents were when she told them the news, but she assumed that they were proud. Shocked of course, she could see the way her father’s eyes nearly went out of their sockets at the news, but pleased, or at least she hoped so.
The Lore family consisted of 4 people; the father, Henry Lore, the mother, Christina Lore and the eldest child, Tristan Lore and Juliette.
Henry Lore had dark black hair and looked nothing like his age, he was almost Fifty, but he didn’t look a day over thirty two. He worked at the ministry alongside Lucius Malfoy; and he forced his family to eat dinner with the Malfoys every Friday in the summer.
He expected only the best from everyone around him, he could not handle chaos or change, and he could sometimes be the cruellest person in the world, at least in Juliette’s opinion.
Christina Lore was a brunette with highlights. Highlights that she swore to everyone that they were real and with her since birth. Juliette knew that her mother was lying since every month she would hear her mother make appointments on the phone to touch them up.
Christina, unlike Henry, looked exactly her age and maybe even a little bit older. She is forty five years old and is best friends with Narcissa Malfoy, a forced relationship after multiple dinners. Some people (meaning Juliette) would say that she and Narcissa should switch names because as she always says ‘if anyone is the true narcissist it’s my mother.’
Tristan Lore was two years older than Juliette and a seventh year. He was the preferred child as he would say and as most people would say, and as his parents made it clear every night at dinner. He was one of the prefects, but had lost in gaining the title of head boy. He was charismatic and had dark hair and blue eyes that seemed to make every female fall to her knees at the sight of him.
Juliette Lore was born in 1980, and a fifth year prefect. She had brown hair, a shade that’s unlike any of her other family members and had hazel eyes. She was a snarky, quick witted teenager and was the complete opposite of her entire family.
She’s the disappointment.
Juliette Lore was adopted and even though she knew that fact her parents refused to tell her who her real parents were. She doubted that they even wanted to tell her that she was adopted, considering that she found out the news like this;
Juliette had sat on the train of her ride back home from third year with the Weasley twins and Lee Jordan. She wanted to talk about quidditch considering how obsessed she is with the sport but was not allowed to play. Her mother had told her that it was unlady-like, and even though she was not convinced; she wasn’t going to go against her mother’s wishes.
At first the Gryffindors were hesitant to talk with the girl considering her family and her house, but after a few mere moments spent with her, they realised that she was unlike anyone from her house, and to them, that was a good thing.
After the most fun train ride she ever had, her parents seeing who she was exiting the train with, they became furious. Her mother was far less composed than her father. While she could see her mother’s fist clenching and her nostrils flaring, the only hint of anger she could see off her father was from his eyes.
Fred and George had bid her farewell with a kiss from each of them on each of her cheeks and started calling her Snidget. As the snitch was invented from a reference of the Snidget bird.
When Juliette returned to the mansion she was immediately greeted with a slap on her right cheek from her mother, and several insults from her father. Her father kept muttering about how they never should’ve taken her in and then out of frustration they accidentally told her that she was adopted.
She had after a year questioned them about her parents and they refused to say a word and only told her their blood. Which was pure; that fact helped her with nothing as she already knew that Henry and Christina Lore would have never taken a non pure-blood. However, in some way, not being her parent’s child made her relieved.

Take Care of Each Other
Warnings: angst, death of a major character, George grieving
Summary: An old friend returns on the morning of Fred's funeral.
This is a continuation of sorts to Oh, Brother. It's not necessary to read the first one, but it will give you a bit more background to this story.
~•~
It was the morning of Fred's funeral and the Weasley family was gathered at the Burrow. Charlie came downstairs from his bedroom with something in his hand. "Hey, George. I found this in my old trunk. I guess somebody thought it was mine and tossed it in there."
"Oh--wow. Thanks, Charlie. I always wondered what happened to him." George's voice was hoarse, barely above a whisper.
You felt more than heard your husband shudder. "Wanna walk outside, Georgie?"
He nodded.
Once you were far away from the ears and eyes of his family, George's composure broke. You felt his knees buckle as he clutched Beans to his chest. Sinking down with him, you held him close until his wracking sobs subsided.
"Fred always wanted Beans." George said, still clutching his lost treasure. "We fought over him all the time."
You knew all the stories of the infamous Beans. When George and Fred were three years old, George found the tiny, purple, stuffed dragon at a rummage sale and just had to have him. He named him Beans after his favorite food at the time. For the next few years he and Fred clashed over the toy, resulting in more than a few bruises and a bit of bloodshed on one occasion.
Eventually, as they got older, George played less and less with his wee dragon, and the fighting over Beans stopped altogether.
Then, at some point, the tiny beast disappeared. That's when the jokes started.
"I know you have him." George would tease.
"Who?"
"Beans. I know you two secretly cuddle at night."
"Well, of course we do. I don't flop around like a fish out of water in my sleep. The poor fellow can finally get a decent night's rest."
~•~
Over time, what started out as a joke, became a way for George and Fred to say 'I love you' to one another, without actually saying the words. The two of them joked about Beans the last night Fred was alive, before The Battle of Hogwarts.
So, it was only natural that George made the choice he did.
~•~
After the funeral, you and George lingered while everyone else went outside. You stood together next to the casket and you pulled Beans from the inside of your cloak, handing him to George.
"Freddie, look, it's Beans." George said, holding up the little purple dragon. "Charlie found him in his trunk. You're finally off the hook, mate," he chuckled, placing Beans next to Fred. "He's gonna look after you while we're apart. But, I want him back when we see each other again, so you look after him, too."
You and George stayed with Fred until Bill stepped back inside. "Sorry," he apologized. "They're ready to head to the cemetery."
You nodded. "We'll be out in a moment."
Once Bill was gone, the two of you turned back to Fred.
"We gotta go." George's voice cracked. "I love you, Freddie." He reached down and briefly touched Fred's hand and then touched Beans. "I love you too, Beans. Take good care of each other."

DOB: Jan 13th, 1979
House: Slytherin

Wand: 10 inches exactly, alder wood, dragon heartstring & “switch-like,” flexibility
Patronus: was unable to produce one until age 20, when she did, it was a Capuchin monkey.
Marital Status: Married George Weasley in 2002
Residence: Malfoy Manor, Wiltshire (school days), 12 Grimmauld Place, London (post graduation/wartime), Malfoy Manor, Wiltshire (wartime/post-war), Lestrange House, Mayfair, London (post-war)
Occupation: Student (formerly) Socialite, investor, philanthropist (post war), eventually went on to work in Wizarding Crisis Management, making her a direct hindrance at times to the DMLE and Ministry.
Background: The s*rial-killer’s daughter of the Wizarding World. Born with a gift for Occlumency yet cursed with a name almost as notorious as the Golden Boy himself’s, but for all the wrong reasons, this Slytherin aristocrat dedicated her immense reserves of ambition, cunning, and determination into ensuring that her peers, along with the rest of society, would never, ever view her in the same light as her parents. Due to her charismatic and overall easygoing, if not slightly aloof and arrogant personality, as well as her behavior throughout her school years, she became known amongst her peers both sincerely and insincerely alike, as The Slytherin Sweetheart, and was known throughout Hogwarts as one of the more approachable members of the snake house in her time. However, as the events of the Second Wizarding War began to unfold, it became apparent that in times of hardship, blood often runs thicker than water, and she and her mother had far more in common than either of them had originally anticipated— to neither one of their benefits.
random shit-
Lyra has an Alder wood wand which speaks to her natural aptitude for nonverbal magic, which she began practicing her first year and mastered by her fourth. She is also a natural born Occlumens, which helped her tremendously during the war.
Her favorite spell is crucio, just like her mum’s. She unfortunately has a natural gift for Dark Magic, and is able to use it in limited amounts without it entirely corrupting her soul and mind (something that she gets from her father and uncle, as it runs in the Lestrange family— obv Bella was driven mad by it sooo… sorry NHOB).
She, like most Purebloods, follows the Old Ways of magic (i.e, celebrating Pagan holidays, using ceremonial magic, etc.), something she gets from Narcissa. Litha is her favorite holiday.
Lyra is a small constellation which is often represented by a bird, such as an eagle or vulture, carrying a lyre through the night sky. This ties into how the symbol for the Lestrange family is a bird (raven/crow), and the lyre is a musical instrument favored by Apollo, and when placed in the hands of Orpheus, was said to produce the most enchanting and beautiful music with the ability to charm anyone, even inanimate objects. This relates to Lyra’s personality, and how she is known as a very good talker, able to slither her way in and out of any situation using only her words.
Lyra & George’s relationship is loosely based on Orpheus and Eurydice— one loses the other due to circumstances beyond control, and makes a seemingly impossible journey in order to get them back.
She was handed off to Narcissa and Lucius right after she was weaned, and her mother was incarcerated not long afterwards. As she was raised by the Malfoy family, she considers Aradia and Draco to be her siblings rather than her cousins. She did not remember what her mother looked like, and only had 3 conversations with her father before he died. Due to this, she considers Narcissa as her mother, and it is reciprocated. Narcissa adores her, as Lyra is more interested in knowing how to network and thrive in society, which was greatly utilized after the war, and Aradia, her other daughter, is much closer to Lucius and more interested in learning how to be the next Malfoy Heiress.
Her patronus memory is when George stood up to Molly and defended her to the Weasley family. It was the only happy memory she had that did not have any negativity/impurity attached to it on her end.
The Lestrange Family words are not just a motto, they are a fatal blood curse on every member of the family, that typically lays dormant, as its sole focus is prohibiting them from ever doing anything directly to intentionally betray or turn against a member of their family. Due to this, she could not testify against her parents. However, due to his involvement in helping Lyra and Aradia escape Malfoy Manor, she testified for her uncle, Rabastan post-war and this led to him receiving a reduced sentence in Azkaban, followed by permanent house arrest… unfortunately, she did not predict him having to live with HER, due to her being his only kin. Rabastan spent most of his time keeping to himself, and eventually began to unlearn his bigoted ways. He died soon after as a man on the pathway to complete reformation.

From The Outside: 1. George Weasley x Fem!Reader

The Battle of Hogwarts was fought just over a decade ago, not that you were there to remember much. The only thing you could remember about that time, other than what was taught at school, was the bad feeling that hung around for a while and then celebrating your 8th birthday like always.
Ten years later and you were celebrating your birthday the same way. Almost. Your friends replaced your parents on your trip to Diagon Alley. They'd taken you for brunch and the four of you got most of your back to school shopping done. The sun was beginning to set, casting a golden hue over everything when the girls decided to call the shopping trip quits.
"Are you sure?" Lydia asked, raising an eyebrow at you.
You nodded back and smiled. "Absolutely. I only have one more shop to go in. I can handle it myself." You assured her.
"Maybe she'll find the love of her life and finally leave that Gryffindork alone." Rowan teased from down the nearly empty alley, making you roll your eyes. The tease stemmed from the old school feud between your boyfriend's house, Gryffindors, and yours, Slytherin.
"Andy isn't that bad." You defended, though deep down you knew it was over. He'd seen you once since school let out, not to mention he was supposed to be here now.
"I've got to get the training schedule finished for quidditch!" Had been his excuse every time you'd asked to see him.
Mary Alice rolled her eyes and patted your shoulder. "Whatever you say, Elodie. See you later." She squeezed you before skipping off to join the other two girls.
You watched them disappear around the bend of the walk way before heading towards the only shop you hadn't been in: Weasley Wizard Wheezes. You stepped into the empty shop, a total 180 from when you'd passed by earlier.
"Hi, welcome in!" A man's voice called from somewhere you weren't able to see.
"Good evening!" You called back as you looked at a few things on a display table.
"Can I help you find anything?" The voice asked as a presence settled behind you.
You weren't uncomfortable. Quite the opposite actually. You felt safe in the presence of the man whose face you didn't know. "No, thanks. Just shopping around." You replied, not sparing a glance just yet.
"Just shout if you need anything. I'll be around." He said and you nodded, letting him now you'd heard him. His footsteps sounded, signaling he was leaving you to browse in peace.
You'd made your way around the store, somehow managing to dodge the man whom the voice belonged to, and stood in front of the Pygmy Puffs.
"When my brother and I first bred them, we only got pink and violet. A few years later they started popping out in different colors." The voice stated as the presence settled in behind you again.
You stuck a finger into the cage, letting a black one latch on like it was hugging you. "I think they're absolutely adorable. I've always wanted one but my parents would never allow it." You sighed, pulling your finger back from the creature that now looked to be pouting. You could feel the strangers body coming closer to your own until he stopped just behind you.
"Well, I think that one likes you. What if I just gave you one?" He asked, hand settling on the latch of the cage.
You turned to look at him for the first time, taking in first his brown puppy like eyes, then his crooked smile lined perfectly by small folds in his skin, showing just how much he liked to laugh. You could see he was missing an ear, but you could barely pay attention to it as you took in the bright orange hair spilling from the top of his head. "You'd give me one? Wouldn't you get in trouble?" You asked, furrowing your eyebrows at him.
He let out a laugh, showing exactly how the lines creasing his skin got there as he shook his head. "I don't think so, love. It is half my shop, after all." He winked at you.
Your heart skipped as the name rolled off of his tongue so easily, stunning you silent. You could only nod as you fought the blush that tried to claw its way up your face. "Oh." Was the only noise you could mutter.
"Mum and dad can't get mad if it was a gift, now could they?" He asked, finger pointing to the small button pinned to your shirt by Mary Alice earlier that day. It's my birthday!
You looked down and shrugged. "They probably wouldn't be thrilled with another mouth to feed." You replied, drawing your bottom lip between your teeth as you looked down at the small black puff that was still looking up at you.
The man watched your lip, wishing he hadn't. "Why don't you work here a few days a week. You'll make enough to take care of him, and have extra left over. Plus, you get a discount on everything." He said before he realized he had. They did need some extra help with it being so close to back to school, the shop would be busier than just he and his brothers could handle.
You looked up at him again and nodded. "I can do that." You smiled, unintentionally making his heart rate increase.
"Great. Come in tomorrow morning. I'll introduce you to Fred. That's the co-owner. Ron our younger brother works here too, so he'll be here as well." He smiled, opening the cage and sticking his hand in for the puff that had been eyeing you for the past five minutes. "And you can take this little guy home tonight." He offered the small animal to you.
You grinned wide, taking it gently and brushing your hand over his. You felt the electric shock but tried to ignore it as you cuddled the creature into your neck. "What are we going to name you?" You asked, before realizing the man that just gave you a birthday gift and a job had yet to give you his name. "And what should I call you, other than boss?" You asked, still smiling.
"Oh, right." He chuckled, offering his hand out for a handshake. He was trying to see if he would feel sparks he'd felt just seconds ago. "George. George Weasley." He smiled as you reached out, setting his skin alight again. He knew now he was in trouble.
"Elodie Whits." You grinned and laughed as the small puff made a home in the pocket of your dark overall dress.
George watched the creature nestle in, comfortable, happy. How he longed to be like that again. He had been once, years ago, with a girl he was now married to. Things had changed over the five years of dating and six years of marriage.
Angelina was a wonderful woman, helping when needed. Going above and beyond. Doing everything she could for herself and George. They'd known each other in school, that's where they met almost twenty years ago. She wanted more than George was willing to give her though. She'd always wanted kids, having been an only child. George was the opposite. Having been one of seven, he wanted a few years of peace.
He didn't blame her for wanting it. He had at one point agreed to having kids and they tried, but nothing came of it for a while, which he now thought had been a blessing in disguise. He wasn't sure if or how long the marriage would last. He was just waiting on her to decide.
"It's a pleasure to meet you." He smiled, reaching down to a small cage under the Pygmy display. It was filled with food, treats, and toys. "Everything you need for him. Feel free to bring him to work with you. Seems like he wouldn't want it any other way." He laughed, resting a hand on your lower back to lead you to the front.
"I don't think I'd be able to leave him." You chuckled, petting his head with one finger. You tried again not to let the blush creep up, but you lost the fight this time, a light pink settling on your skin.
"I've just got some paperwork I need for you to fill out before tomorrow." He said, stopping you at the end of the counter and walking around to the register. He grabbed a small stack of papers and handed them over. "Nothing too bad, just the application and whatnot." He added, sending you a quick wink. He noticed the pinky red that covered your face and smiled.
"Thank you." Your voice was small as you took the papers from him. "Have a good night, George. I'll see you tomorrow." You added, turning to walk away.
"Let me lead you out. Gotta lock the door anyways." He said, quickly rounding the counter and settling his hand on your back again.
"Thank you." You said again, smiling a bit bigger at him.
He pushed the door open, allowing you out of it. "Have a good night, love."
"You too." And with that you walked away from the shop, smiling to yourself, wondering what you'd just gotten yourself into.
***
It had been two weeks since that day. Two weeks since you'd met George. Two weeks since he'd given you a birthday gift. Two weeks since you started working for him. In that time you'd met his brothers and his wife. She didn't seem to like you very much, the little that she saw of you. You had barely spoken to her seeing as she only popped in from time to time so you couldn't be sure why. Maybe she knew George had given you the Pygmy puff you always carried around in your pockets or on your shoulder. Maybe she'd caught your longing stares on him while he was putting up a new display. Maybe she didn't like the way the two of your laughed and joked through the day. Maybe she knew you had a crush in her husband.
You still smiled and greeted her everyday you worked: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, just like you did with the rest of them, then avoided her for the time she stayed. Today was no different than any other, aside from the fact that Ron had gotten sick half way through and wasn't able to stay and do inventory like every Saturday night. George offered so casually to teach you, you didn't think anything of it. Once you found out he was married, you'd assumed he had no interest in you and that the events of your birthday were just him being nice.
The store had been closed for close to an hour now. You and George were just about finished with inventory. You'd been up on a stool, counting some of the top shelf items and relaying the numbers to George. You were on the last one now, the snack boxes that were kept on the top shelf to prevent kids from getting into them and eating them.
"I count 27." You stated, moving to stand straight, but losing your footing. You squealed as you felt yourself falling. Only you didn't hit the ground.
George had been standing close enough to catch you, arms wrapping around you, pulling your chest to his. "Careful there." He said, brushing some hair away from your shocked face. His finger ran over your cheek as you smiled up at him.
"Thank you." You blushed, hiding your face in his chest, making him chuckle a bit.
He kissed the crown of your head as he rubbed your back before he realized what he was doing.
You looked up at him, trying to read his intentions. You were usually good at that but tonight you questioned yourself. He was married, you reminded yourself as your lower lip settled between your teeth.
George couldn't stop himself. He reached a hand up, gripping your chin lightly and tugging your lip from your teeth with his thumb. "You've got to stop doing that, love." He mumbled, looking from your lips to your eyes. "It drives me insane."
You blinked at him a couple of times, speechless.
"Maybe insanity is the reason I want to touch you so badly..." He squeezed your hips, making you release an involuntary squeal. "Maybe it's the reason I think you want to touch me, too."
You whined and reached up, resting your hand on the side of his face. "You're not insane, George." You whispered, fingers tracing lightly over the stubble on his jaw.
He chuckled as your faces gravitated closer to each other. "Maybe we both are." He said in a low voice, making you whine as his nose brushed yours. "Tell me to stop." He whispered, eyes closing on their own.
"I don't want you to." You couldn't hide the want and need that laced your voice. You craved him so badly. Your bones ached for him.
The gap between your mouths closed, though it wasn't clear which one of you did it. It didn't matter anymore. The feeling of your lips molding together was so much better than you'd thought it would be. His hands rested on and squeezed your hips while your arms hung around his neck, pulling him closer to you. You felt his tongue slide over your bottom lip and immediately gave him the access he was looking for.
His tongue slipped into your mouth, exploring every inch as he backed you up against the wall. His hands fell from your hips to grope your ass, pushing and squeezing roughly.
You whimpered as your fingers disappeared into his beautiful orange hair, tugging at the roots.
His mouth detached from yours and planted kisses down your jaw and to your hairline where he nipped and sucked, branding you as his.
"George, baby." You begged, hands falling and clawing lightly down his back.
He pulled away and looked down at you. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that." He stepped back, leaving you cold, chilled to your core. He dug the heels of his hands into his eyes as he tried to snap himself back into reality. Only this was reality.
You pouted a bit and stepped up to him, resting a hand on his shoulder. You were both guilty of the same things. "I shouldn't have let you. But I did. I wanted it. We don't have to talk about it again if you don't want to. I won't tell anyone." You promised, hand slipping down to rub his back.
"We can't do it again." He said, reaching out to fix your hair.
You nodded, agreeing.
The agreement between you two proved difficult in the coming weeks. You longed to touch him again, feel him against your skin. You knew how wrong it was, imagining him pinning you to his chest while his lips kissed down your neck, especially as you worked the register next to his wife. You didn't think it would be an issue since he wouldn't look at you for more than a few seconds at a time, at least that's what you noticed.
He couldn't keep his eyes off of you, as long as you weren't looking at him. He imagined himself holding you again. Sweeter, softer than before. He thought about what it might have been like to have you in his bed at night to hold and kiss. What it would be like to make you laugh again. It was all things that didn't happen anymore in his current relationship. He missed it.
Now that you knew how to count inventory you and George were together most Saturday nights, freeing Ron from the responsibility. You'd count the store front and he would count the storage room, keeping yourselves separated. It was the best way.
Today had been particularly busy, kids running around, mixing items on shelves. You'd spent the first half hour trying to straighten things up before you could even begin counting, so you were behind.
"Storage room is good. How's it going out here?" George asked, emerging from the basement.
You looked over at him, exhaustion in your eyes. "I've barely started. Everything was everywhere, Georgie." You didn't mean to let the name slip, especially with that whining tone, but you couldn't take it back now.
He nodded and smiled at you. The name was the confirmation he'd been looking for. He'd spent the last month wondering if you were mad at him, upset, repulsed. He knew now that you weren't. "That's alright, love." It had been the first time he called you anything other than your name since the kiss.
Your stomach flipped in the best way as you walked up to him. Exhaustion or boldness, you weren't sure which was the reason you decided to say what you said next. "You don't know what you do to me when you call me that, Georgie." You bit your lip instinctively as you looked up at him through your eyelashes.
He grunted slightly, fighting himself. He wanted to reach out, pull you into him. He wanted so badly to kiss you again, but he knew he shouldn't.
"I know it shouldn't do the things it does. It's only a name. A simple word. Yet, it pulls me deeper and deeper into you. I know it's wrong. I have a boyfriend. You're married for Merlin's sake." You let out a bitter and exasperated laugh. You were so close to him now. You could feel the way his breath fanned across your face.
His mind was all over the place all at once. You were taking over his mind, taking over his senses. How pretty you were. How good you smelled. What your lips felt like against his. The sound of your laughter. The way you tasted that night. He was consumed by two things. You and guilt. Guilt that he craved you more than anything on the planet. Guilt that you were the one invading his thoughts at night while he laid next to his wife. He needed you.
He grabbed your hips and pulled you into him, hesitating for only a second before smashing his lips onto yours once more. He groaned into your mouth as you pushed your hands up his chest, wrapping them around the back of his neck to bring him closer. The kiss was a clashing of teeth and tongue, pure need and lust.
You whined at the the way his hands sank under your ass so he could hoist you up. Your legs wrapped around his waist as he carried you to the basement door. You detached your lips from his to kiss around his neck, careful not to leave any marks on him, although every part of you wanted to.
"If you don't stop me, I won't stop." He mumbled, as he reached the landing of the creaky steps.
You pulled back to look at him, taking in his lust blown eyes. You were sure yours were in the same state. "Does it look like I want you to stop?" You reached out, popping the top button of the patterned dress shirt.
"You're a little minx, you know that?" He growled, hands slipping back up your body.
You couldn't tear your eyes away from his. You were drinking in the way he seemed consumed with you, hoping he was because you were with him. Every thought you had, he was in the background of, looming.
He sat you on the table meant for opening boxes and stood between your legs as you finished opening his shirt. "If we do this, love, no one can know. And we can't do it again." He held your chin in his hand, looking into your eyes with an intensity that made you melt.
In this moment, you wanted nothing more than to be his dirty little secret. "Never again." You nodded, giving him the most innocent eyes he'd ever seen.
He groaned as his shirt fell to the ground. "No marks." He added, hands resting high on your thighs, under your skirt.
"Yes sir." You gasped, fighting the urge to scratch over his freckled skin. "Please touch me." You whispered as your hands fell to his hips, gripping at his belt loops.
He licked at his lips as his hands pushed higher until his fingertips were brushing against the damp lace of your underwear. "Shit. You really want this then?" His finger trailed up and down your covered slit, pressing lightly against the bundle of nerves.
You moaned and nodded. "Yes. Yes please. George, I need you." You begged, hips rolling on their own in search of friction.
"I know, I know darling." He cooed, removing one hand to rest on the back of your head and guide your lips to his. His other hand rested on your hip, pulling you to the edge of the table before bunching your skirt around your hips. "Green. How could I not have guessed." He chuckled, dipping his fingers into the waistband and tugging them off.
"House pride, Mr. Weasley." You smirked, moving your hands to work his pants open.
He smirked, running a finger through your folds. "I can see the ambition and determination." He leant down and kissed your neck as your hand slipped down to rub him through his underwear. "Feel what you do to me, love?" He asked, nipping at the skin hard enough to be felt but soft enough not to leave a trace.
"Fuck, yes." You groaned as he circled your clit with his thumb while his fingers teased your entrance. Your eyes closed and you sighed as he pushed them into you. "Feel so good." You whined, one hand holding the back of his neck while the other slipped into his boxers to really feel him. You moaned out as your hand ran down his full length.
He knew he should feel bad, but he didn't. He couldn't. Not when it felt this good. "I want to see you, love. Can you take that shirt off for me?" He asked, pulling away from you.
You pouted and watched him lift the fingers that had just been inside of you to his mouth before wrapping his lips around them. "I'll do anything you want me to do." You said, mesmerized by the sight. You gripped the hem of your shirt and pulled it over your head, exposing the matching bra to him.
Foreplay was something none of the guys your age were good at, given they even tried it, which was not very often. They were never like this.
"When is the next time you'll see your boyfriend?" He asked, lining the edge of the cup, flicking his gaze from there to your eyes.
"School. He's too worried about quidditch drills." You answered, slightly confused by why he was asking.
He nodded and reached behind you, unclasping your bra, but holding it. "This okay?" He asked, eyebrow raised as he waited.
"Yes." You answered with a nod.
He let go, letting the article fall down your arms until you allowed it to fall to the floor. "So beautiful." He mumbled, reaching out to push you gently until you were laying down on the table. "Still want me to touch you?" He asked, hands running up and down your torso.
You whimpered and nodded. "Please."
His hands pushed up your body, grabbing onto your breasts and pinching your nipples between his fingers. He smirked before bending down and taking one into his mouth.
You gasped at the feeling, eyes rolling back into your head. "George, fuck." You couldn't understand why these minimal touches had the largest effect on you. You were aching for him.
"Is that what you want?" He asked, looking up at you, warm breath fanning over your saliva coated nipple before he latched onto the soft skin, leaving his claim.
You whined, so turned on by how simple it all seemed to be in this moment, everything else forgotten about. "Yeah. I want you to fuck me." Your eyes were half lidded, looking down to connect to his.
He growled, dropping his head once more. He bit at your collar bone, sucking a dark bruise there as well as his hands worked to push his pants and boxers down before he stood up straight.
You looked down at him, taking in his body before settling your eyes on his cock. He was bigger than you thought he'd be, not that you thought he was small. He was definitely above average. You watched closely as he gripped himself at the base, moaning when he slid his tip from your entrance to your clit then back down.
"You ready, love?" He was already pushing in slowly, watching you crumble under him.
You nodded, unable to form words due to the pleasure flooding your body.
He set a near teasing pace. He wanted to savor this. It was the one and only time, after all. Right?
You reached out, grabbing his hand and lacing your fingers with his as his pace increased bit by bit. His free hand moved to rub at your clit, matching the mild pace. You were a mess of moans, whines, and gasps with your eyes mostly closed. "Feels so good." You were breathless as you spoke, free hand grabbing at your chest.
"So wet baby. You ever been touched like this before?" He asked, making you think more than you thought you could.
You shook your head. "They don't know how." You answered, feeling the building pressure in the pit of your stomach. It was a feeling no other man had brought you before.
"Who doesn't, love?" He was bent over you now, hand resting next to your head, still laced with your own.
You squeezed his hand as your brows knitted together. "The ones my age. Don't know how to touch me like you do." You moaned, reaching a hand up to pull him down to you. "Don't fuck me like you do." You pressed your lips to his, feeling the impending orgasm pushing full steam ahead.
"Scream for me, love. Tell them who can make you feel this good, hm?" He urged, picking up his pace as he felt you tightening around him.
"George! Oh George yes!" You yelled out as the coil that had been tightening snapped in two, flooding all of your senses with him
He spilled into you, groaning and giving you everything as he bit down onto your shoulder, making you scream a bit louder at the pleasure caused by pain.
The two of you stayed like that for a moment, only the sound of your breathing echoing around the room.
A million thoughts ran through your head, but you couldn't speak any of them.
"You're amazing, love." He brushed your hair back and pressed his lips to yours one more time before standing and finally pulling out of you. He wanted to apologize, not because of what the two of you had done, but because you couldn't do it again.
"You're not so bad yourself." You smiled, stuck in the after sex haze. Once you were dressed you wrapped your arms around him from behind. "I'll see you on Monday." You mumbled before rushing around him. You knew you'd be too weak if you looked at him.
"See you Monday, Elodie." It hurt him to say almost as much as it hurt you to hear.
You nodded and ran up the stairs, not looking back.
The next day was spent in your bed, fingers tracking over the claim he laid on your collar bone, thinking about him. Thinking about what Monday would bring.
You walked into the shop, waving at the two gingers that were setting up the displays. "Morning Ron, Fred." You smiled as you made your way past them.
"Morning! I heard about Saturday night." Fred said, standing up straight.
You froze and turned around, slightly panicked. "Yeah?" You asked, nausea causing your stomach to churn.
"Yeah, I didn't realize how bad it was. George said the store was a mess. Said it took over an hour to straighten up in here, much less count. Next time it's like that I think we'll all stay." He said with a curt nod.
You sighed, relieved that he was only talking about inventory. "Yeah, it was something else." You chuckled, pushing a hand through your hair.
"Glad it wasn't me. They make me do it alone." Ron said, popping his head from behind the display, making you laugh.
"You would have been here until noon on Sunday." You joked, continuing your walk to behind the counter to sit your bag and Alfie, the Pygmy puff's cage, down in your cubby.
The boys laughed at the joke before going back to doing what they had been before.
You looked up in time to see George coming down the stairs.
"Good morning, El." He greeted you, a gentile smile on his face. Maybe this would be less awkward than you initially thought.
"Good morning." You smiled back, resting against the counter as Alfie climbed up your arm to settle onto your shoulder.
"Morning." The sharp voice belonged to a very annoyed looking Angelina, descending just behind George. "It was bad Saturday, huh?" She raised an eyebrow at you expectantly.
You nodded. "Yeah. It was a mess in here. Every time I thought I had everything where it went, something was missing, or it had been hidden where it shouldn't have been." You replied, which wasn't a lie. You'd found things hidden in boxes and bins and under displays. Only you hadn't counted anything.
"Told you. We were here until after midnight trying to sort it out." George stated, stepping onto the landing and gesturing to the store that was in perfect condition.
However, that was a lie. The store closed at 9:00 and you'd walked out teary eyed around 11:00. You were left to assume that he stayed and actually counted everything once you left. You felt bad about leaving, but there was no way you could face him after that. Not that soon.
Angelina scanned you, looking for anything obvious but found nothing.
That's how the mornings went that week, warmth from George and ice cold from Angelina, though you couldn't blame her for having her suspicions, mainly because she was right. You also couldn't bring yourself to feel bad about it either, seeing as George was getting the worst of it. You wondered what it was like for him at home if she was the way she was at work.
Saturday came, much calmer than the last, so again, it was you and George left to do inventory, much to Angelina's dismay. She'd stormed out at about ten til nine, leaving you and George alone to lock up and count.
George wasn't blind. He could see the way his wife's attitude was irking you. "Love, what's wrong?" He asked, coming to stand behind you as you put Alfie in the cage to start your work. He put his hands on your hips and watched you smile as he pulled you into him. "You can tell me." He whispered into your ear, letting his lips lightly brush over them.
You shuttered with chills at the sensation. "I don't like her being rude to you. I don't mean to overstep because it's not my business and she obviously has every right to be cautious, you know, considering, but she is being just nasty to you." You answered as his hands slipped from your hips to around your body, locking you against him.
He chuckled, vibrating your back gently. "Considering I'm here, holding you, thinking about what we did last weekend for probably the hundredth time, I think maybe I deserve it a bit... Tell me, love, have you thought about it?" He swayed you gently from side to side as you nodded.
"All the time, Georgie. Can't get it out of my head." Your eyes grew heavy with lust and want and need as his hands trailed your body, dipping into the waistband of your skirt.
He latched his lips onto your skin behind your ear, creating a mark there, which caused you to whimper. "If we get inventory done quickly, we can do it again. I can't stay away from you like I thought I could. I'm foolish for even thinking I could." He confessed, squeezing you a bit tighter.
And the two of you did. You repeated the process every Saturday up until the last one, just before you left for school. You'd also managed to fall back in the routine of laughing, talking, and joking through the shift. Everything felt so good with each other once again.
It was your last day before you had to get ready to go back to school and George had brought you up to the office to talk to you about working winter break. "I figure you have off the week you get back from school, then if you're okay with it, work Monday through Saturday. We're going to be insanely busy and the less new hires, the better." He shrugged, looking over a few papers so casually, acting as if he wasn't the cause of your three orgasms and shaking legs.
You nodded at him, nearly jelly in the chair. "Yeah, I can do that. I'll get to see more of you." You smiled, making him do so as well.
"I'm going to miss you and I'll write when I can. Just, don't write back, love." His eyes fell at the end, reminding you why exactly you shouldn't write back.
You nodded and stood on weak legs to walk over to his desk. "I know. I won't." You said, settling on top of the desk where he'd just finished fucking you not ten minutes ago. "If you can't write either that's okay too." You reached out and put your hand on his just as a knock came at the door.
Your eyes widened as you scrambled to make your way back into the chair rather than the top of the desk.
George rose quickly, straightening himself as he walked to the door, giving the room one last look before opening the door and sighing. "Oh, hey. Come in." He stepped out of the way to reveal his twin's smiling face.
"Just came to see our best employee off. George talked to you about winter break, yeah?" He asked as he walked into the office.
You smiled at him and nodded. "Yeah, we were waiting on you but it got late. I'll start the Monday after I get back here and work until the Saturday before we go back there." You said, crossing one leg over the other. The move had a cool breeze flow up your skirt, reminding that you had yet to find your underwear. You sat up straighter, on edge almost.
"Yeah, that sounds great." Fred said as George settled back into his seat. Fred looked around the room, eyes catching on something he was sure was not meant for his eyes.
George could see the look on his brothers face and knew immediately what was happening. He followed his line of sight to the black lace that was hanging over the edge of the pot containing the large plant in the corner. Shit.
You could see the panicked look in George's eyes. "Well, I'm gonna head out. I've got to pack and get ready. Got a long trip in a few days." You chuckled awkwardly, standing and straightening your clothes out.
George stood again and cleared his throat. "I'll, uh, I'll walk you out." He came around the side of the desk and opened the door for you.
"See you in a few months, Fred." You waved, following George's direction.
Fred waved back with a quick "See ya."
George closed the door and lead you down the stairs silently, which worried you. He stepped onto the landing and looked back up at the office door. "He saw them." He said simply, making your heart sink.
You paled, eyes going wide. "I- we looked everywhere. He was in there for two minutes. He couldn't have..." you shook your head, gripping the fabric of your skirt to ground yourself.
George let out a dry laugh. "That's Fred for you. I'll talk to him. Don't worry, love." He assured you, placing his hand on your lower back as he walked you to the door. "I'll miss you, really." He rested his hand on the knob as he looked down at you.
You met his gaze and had a better feeling. "I'll miss you too, Georgie. Write me soon." You added, resting a hand on his chest.
He nodded and bent down, pressing a quick kiss to your lips. Fred had obviously figured it out, so keeping it from him was the least of his worries. "I will. Have a good night."
You nodded and walked out of the door, leaving George to go face his brother alone.
After a moment he made his way back up the stairs and opened the office door to see Fred leaning against the desk, one arm folded over his chest, the other bent at the elbow with the black lace dangling from his finger.
"Probably should have given these back to her, you know?" He said in a monotone.
George ignored him, moving to sit in the chair once more, starting at his brothers back.
"Really, George. What are you thinking? Obviously I can't tell anymore." Fred stated, turning and dropping the fabric on the desk and settling his hands on the edge as he leaned on it.
George looked up at him and sighed. "I- ever since I told Angelina that I don't think kids would be a good idea right now, she's been cold. Distant. We haven't had a good moment together in almost two years, Fred. I just- I wanted some happiness." George had told his brother all about his relationship with his wife, but never that he was unhappy.
Fred was a bit shocked. He nodded and settled in across from his brother. "And Elodie. Screwing her makes you happy?" He didn't mean it as harsh as it sounded. He truly was trying to understand.
George sighed and leaned back in the seat. "It's more than that. We talk and laugh and get to know each other. She's more than some girl I'm banging. She makes me happy. She makes me feel like I used to."
Fred nodded, knowing that was true. When it was the four of you in the shop he was happy, laughing, playing around like when they first opened the shop. When Angelina showed up, it was as of his mood switch immediately. He would do what needed to be done and that was it. "I know, but that doesn't make it okay. I won't say anything to either of them, and I'm fine with her continuing to work here, but I trust you to make the right choices."
George sighed, shaking his head. "I don't know if I trust myself to." He stated, eyeing the lace that sat in a crumpled pile on the shiny wood of the desk.
Fred stood and nodded. "I believe you can. Try." He said, leaning over to pat his brothers shoulder.
George nodded, knowing he couldn't lie to his brother. He would have to actually try and keep away from you. "I will."

IT WAS A cloudy day, cloudier than usual some would say, but the two girls walking along diagon alley paid no mind. both identical, the one with shorter, brown hair was busy dragging her twin sister by her arm towards a display window with a broom in it.
"look, esis! the new nimbus 2000!" she exclaimed, pointing out the sleek, beautifully polished broomstick for her sister. "it's just a broom, lovey." the nonchalant response from 'esis' receives an offended gasp from 'lovey'.
"just a broom, my arse!"
"lovelynn!" her cussing causes their mother to give them a word of warning paired with a threatening glare. lovelynn shrinks, a sheepish smile spreading across her face. "sorry, mum." she apologised as her younger sister, genesis, stifled a giggle.
the heath family were out and about, shopping for the girls' school supplies as they'd receive their hogwarts letter a day before. their mother, irene, was beyond ecstatic and their father, richard, was excited. not just for his daughters but also for the fact it gave him a reason to visit the wizarding world more than usual. "gosh, this is all so fascinating!" he said as he clung to his wife's arm, a giddy smile on his face. irene smiled at his reaction, even after years of being together and her telling him all there is to know about magic, he still acts like a kid in a candy store when surrounded by it.
the youngest and only son of the heath family wore a bored expression. "why do i need to come along again?" 10-year old michael asked, his arms crossed the entire time. "well, why do you need to be such a little snotty brat again- ow!" lovelynn rubbed the area of her arm where her sister pinched her, "because it'll be a good experience for you." genesis tells him, giving his shoulder a light pat.
irene ushered the girls towards her, "now, you two will go get your wands." the golden-haired woman told them, "your brother, dad and i will go get your books. then, we'll be off to go get a pet for the both of you." the hint of getting only one pet makes the older of the twins groan. "we're sharing a pet?" irene grinned, "ever the observer, aren't you, lovey?" she teased her and lovelynn rolled her eyes.
the family separated and made their ways to their respective shops. the twins walked in peaceful silence, not having much to talk about. there were only a few times lovelynn would spark up a conversation about what genesis thought her wand was going to be. "d'you think i'm gonna get a dragon heartstring core or a unicorn hair core?" is something along the lines of what she was asking.
when they reached ollivander's wand shop, lovelynn yanked her sister back by the collar of her dress.
"what?" genesis asked, giving her a questioning look.
"maybe we should take turns. to make the experience more... what's the word? ah! mystical!"
with no answer and only an incredulous expression for a reply, lovelynn took that as a yes and pushed her sister to the door. "you go first!" she told her but genesis pushed herself back. "no!" she exclaimed, "i don't want to do this without you, lovey." her long hair swished behind her as she turned frantically to look at lovelynn.
the older's facial features soften, "you're going to have to do a lot of things without me at some point, 'esis. this could be your first step!" she encouraged, "come now, sister mine. i'll be right here staring at you through this window." well, that definitely wasn't creepy. genesis took a deep breath, nodded and entered the shop.
as lovelynn waited for her sister, she leaned her back against the wall of ollivander's. she took peaks into the store every now and then but opted to stop when she saw absolutely nothing going on every time she looked. unbeknownst to her, every time she looked away, a strong gust of wind flew against genesis' hair or sparks shot around whenever she held certain wands.
with a yawn, lovelynn convinced herself to stay put and not abandon her sister unlike that one time when they were eight.
"alright, you're up." at the sound of genesis' voice, the girl jumps before recovering quickly, excited to head inside. when lovelynn went in, genesis stared at the bag she was carrying that held her wand. thinking back to what ollivander said, "witches and wizards who hold this wand rarely ever sway from their beliefs. do you do so, ms. heath?" she didn't answer his question for some reason, couldn't answer his question. only god knows why.
loud exclaims and 'yahoo's were heard from inside the shop before travelling outside as the door opened. "unicorn hair, cypress wood and ten inches, baby!" lovelynn's noisy announcement attracted some unwanted attention and strange looks from people nearby.
"quiet down, lovelynn. you're so loud, i bet even the house-elves at hogwarts could hear you." genesis complained, grabbing her sister by her arm and dragging her towards flourish & blotts. that was how the day of their shopping went, now, let's get on with the best part.
"ugh! i'm going to miss you guys!" lovelynn hugged her parents and brother as tight as she could before releasing them from her death grip. "we're going to miss you too, lovey." genesis was having a hard time. she had her arms crossed and she had averted her gaze towards the train, praying that her tears wouldn't escape her eyes and slide down her cheek.
her mother smiled, "'esis, come here." she called for her, gesturing to come towards her. genesis reluctantly went, hugging her mum close to her. "i know you're scared, but this is for the better. you'll make new friends at hogwarts, and you'll still come back home for christmas break and at the end of the school year." irene's words of comfort didn't go unheard, but the girl just didn't want to say anything. no goodbyes, no 'i'll miss you's, none of that.
she only gave a silent nod as she pulled away, wiping a tear off her cheek with her sleeve. this gave lovelynn the perfect opportunity.
"aww, don't cry, genessy-"
"don't call me that!" genesis exclaimed, shoving her sister harshly. the two began to squabble but their parents and brother paid no mind, it was a common thing after all. the older twin decided to go on ahead when her younger sister was still stalling so she could stay with her parents longer.
"mum, what if there's dogs?"
"it's hogwarts for goodness sake, not a pet shop. right, ricky?" irene nudged her husband with her elbow who frantically nodded, agreeing with his wife. after a bit more convincing, lovelynn boarded the train.
it seemed that stalling was a mistake, because now she couldn't find her twin sister. the panic started to settle in, what was she going to do? she was all alone, the one thing she's been trying to avoid. not to mention her sister could possibly get expelled before even stepping foot in hogwarts. taking her eighth deep breath for the day, she calmed herself down and walked past all the noisy compartments before finding a quiet one with two boys.
sliding the compartment door, genesis looked between the two. "um, sorry, but could i please sit in here? everywhere else is rather full." at her request, the brown-haired boy with dirty, round spectacles smiled.
"of course, come in." he said as the boy with orange hair moved his stuff so she'd have more space to settle down. "thanks. i'm genesis heath." she introduced herself, "i'm ron weasley!" the redhead said with a cheerful disposition, giving her his hand. genesis shook it with her own hand, "i'm harry..." the one with glasses seemed to trail off, looking unsure if he wanted to tell her his last name.
genesis tilted her head, "just harry?" she asked curiously, "harry potter." the girl's eyes widened, "as in the harry potter? as in the boy who lived?" she questioned, excited she was meeting someone who made history. harry looked somewhat scared at her reaction, she was entirely buzzing with questions, anyone could see it.
however, the long-haired brunette caught herself. "oh- uh, sorry. i've just heard amazing stories about you from my mum and i think you're amazing to have survived what you've gone through." she gushed, beaming at him. harry smiled back, "thanks, but i think it was just luck." he said as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"you're lucky, but it can't be just luck, harry. not for the boy who lived." it seems her words struck him in a way, his expression changing to one of deep thought. genesis realised this, "sorry for bringing it up. it wasn't my place." she apologised, feeling as though she might have overstepped some boundaries.
"no, no. it's fine." harry's assurance was cut short when the trolley lady strolled by. "anything from the trolley, dears?" ron gave her a tight-lipped smile before holding up a packed, smushed sandwich. "no, thanks. i'm all set." genesis and harry exchanged looks, "we'll take the lot." he said, fishing out a few gold galleons from his pocket.
and that was the start of the trio's lovely friendship — candy. well, sort of.
"what?!" the two boys exclaimed when genesis declined their offer of sweets and had told them she wasn't the biggest fan of candy. "we let a madwoman in our compartment. we should get out of here, harry." ron joked, making harry let out a small laugh.
genesis only rolled her eyes, "ha-ha, very funny." she simply said, ignoring their jokes. "bertie bott's every flavour beans?" harry read the packaging aloud, "they mean every flavour!" ron exclaimed, "there's chocolate and peppermint, and there's also spinach, liver and tripe." genesis explained, taking a bite of her sandwich that her mum had packed for her.
at the sight of harry's expression, ron spoke up. "george swore he got a bogey-flavoured one once!"
"george?" the girl asked, "my older brother. i've got about six other siblings." the redhead's answer has genesis dumbfounded. "six other siblings? wow. i've only got two other siblings and it already feels cramped. can't imagine how you feel." ron only snorts before taking a bite of his own licorice wand.
"yeah, they're a lot to deal with. especially since my brothers, fred and george, they're twins and they're absolutely troublemaking." the girl's eyes widened, "twins? what a coincidence! i'm a twin, too! my sister's the only troublemaker, however." ron's mouth falls slightly open, "that is a humongous coincidence." he says, slowly taking a bite of his pumpkin pastie.
turning to her right, genesis noticed harry looking isolated. "so, harry, who're you staying with?" well, this opened many doors as the boy started telling her all about his horrific aunt, uncle and cousin.
"they sound horrid."
"yeah, they are." harry said with a sigh, "if you want, you can always come over to bournemouth and stay with my family. they're quite welcoming." genesis offered, taking a sip from her water bottle. "too welcoming..." she quietly added, but they both caught it and chuckled.
"thanks, gen. i'll think about your offer." the boy smiled, picking up a packaging of a chocolate frog.
"these aren't real frogs, are they?"
"it's just a spell. besides, it's the cards you want! each pack's got a famous witch or wizard. i've got about 500 m'self." ron explained as harry opened the box. a chocolate frog sprung out of its confinements, jumping onto the window.
"watch it!" ron exclaimed, furrowing his eyebrows. "awh, look how cute!" genesis gushed, grinning at the magical creature.
"speak for yourself, frogs give me the ick."
"well, now you give me the ick, weasley." she joked, ron only rolled his eyes as the three watched the frog jump out the window. "oh, that's rotten luck. they've only got one good jump in them to begin with." the redhead commented, frowning.
genesis looked at harry, "what card d'you get, harry?" the girl asked him as his face contorted. "i've got dumbledore!" he told them, overjoyed.
"i got about six o' him." harry looked at ron before looking back at his card, shocked to see the old wizard was gone.
"hey, he's gone!"
"well, you can't expect him to hang around all day, can you?" genesis only shook her head at their conversation, too busy staring at the rat on ron's lap. ron notices her looking, "this is scabbers by the way. pathetic, isn't he?" harry and genesis exchange looks once more, "just a little bit." genesis smiled, "fred gave me a spell as to turn him yellow. want to see?" ron's question makes the two curious and interested, agreeing to see the spell.
the boy pulled out his wand and as he was clearing his throat, about to say the magic words, a girl with brown, bushy hair popped by their door.
"has anyone seen a toad? a boy named neville's lost one." she told them, ron only frowned.
"no."
"oh, are you doing magic?" the girl asked when she saw his wand, "let's see, then." she told him, sounding a bit cocky. with that, ron attempted it once more. "sunshine, daisies, butter mellow..." at the sound of the first sentence of the spell, genesis could already tell ron's brother, fred, was clearly messing with him.
when scabbers didn't turn yellow, obviously, the bushy-haired girl scoffed. "are you sure that's a real spell? well, it's not very good, is it?" her words make ron's eyes widen towards harry and genesis, who only observed their exchange with amused expressions.
the girl continued to boast about her own abilities in magic, even though she hasn't even stepped foot on hogwarts yet, even displaying it by fixing up harry's glasses. that's when she realised who he was and introduced herself as hermione granger.
she turned to genesis, "i'm genesis heath. nice to meet you." hermione smiled at her, shaking the hand she held out. "you three better change into your robes. i expect we'll be arriving soon." and with that, hermione granger left, not without telling ron about the dirt on the side of his nose.
"i like her." genesis stated when she left, a huge grin on her face.
"i don't." ron grumbled, rubbing his nose rather harshly. harry and genesis giggle as they watch him. genesis' panic and anxiety seemed to calm, she'd already make two friends, she'll be fine.

Break for Distance - Part 2
Part 2, I’ll try to whack these out quickly!
Word count 1.3k
Rating: Angst, family fluff
Tumblr media
The summer before her final year, Francesca tried to avoid as much magic as possible. For once, this was pretty easy. Her parents were both stressed and busy with work, it was quite a toll having to try keep their moral integrity while not becoming a target of the ministry for not selling the propaganda. So she tried to stay out of their way, visiting her mother’s muggle family, and not opening any windows for any owls, realising in the first week George was writing to her from his new flat in Diagon Alley. She didn’t even open these letters, still not ready to go near that emotional hell again.
In fact, she was reliving her childhood. She smiled softly at her reflection in her aunt’s car window. Her aunt, being her mother’s muggle sister, was aware of the magical world (having watched her sister attend Hogwarts through their teenage years). But her cousins and their dad were none the wiser. Which meant, while growing up, Francesca spent lots of non-magical weekends while her parents were working.
It was late at night, and there were rain tracks streaking the backseat windows. Francesca’s younger cousins leaned against her, fast asleep. They’d spent the day at the beach, and clearly the sea air had tired them out.
“What’s on your mind Frankie?” Her aunt asked, from the driver’s seat. Francesca hadn’t heard that nickname in a long time and she felt the nostalgia wash over her.
“I just miss you guys,” she replied softly, not wanting to disturb her cousins. “I should’ve made more time for you these past few years.”
“Oh honey,” her aunt replied, smiling at her in the mirror. “I remember what it was like with your mum at that school. It’s a bit consuming. We know you still love us though,” her aunt’s eyes flicked back to the road as Francesca hummed softly at her words. “I hope you still know the same?” She added, not taking her eyes from the road.
“That I still love you guys? Of course!”
“No, that we still love you, sweetheart,” her aunt’s eyes flicked back to see Francesca in the rear view mirror again. “You seem lonely these days.”
Francesca blinked. She didn’t expect her aunt to have picked up on that.
“Is it your friends there? Normally you spend the summer with them,” her aunt continued.
“Not really friends,” Francesca started, “well kind of…” She trailed off, gaze dropping out the window.
“So it’s a boy.”
Francesca almost flinched.
“How did you know?”
“Honey,” her aunt said with a sympathetic (yet slightly smug) smile. “We’ve all had a teenage boy break our hearts at least once.” As they pulled up to some traffic lights, her aunt turned around to look at Francesca properly. “Tell me what he did Frankie.”
Francesca simply blinked at her. She was a bit stunned that anything about her life was “normal” to a muggle. Of course when she actually thought at about it, relationships are pretty much the same magic or not. Still, she wasn’t sure how she would even begin to explain it, or if she even wanted to. So, she let her gaze flick back to the window.
“He just made it clear that the future isn’t something he wants me in.”
Her aunt smiled sadly, and patted her niece’s knee before turning back around to turn onto their street when the light turned green.
“Then talk to your friends at least, he won’t be the only great love in your life,” she advised.
“They’re his friends too, they were his first.”
“So? If they’re really your friends, then it won’t matter to them. And if not then you can make new friends.”
“It’s my last year.”
“That’s life, love.”
Francesca frowned, but accepted her aunt’s words.
When they got back to the house, Francesca helped her aunt put her younger cousins in their beds, and quickly went up to get ready for bed herself. As she was brushing her teeth she noticed an owl staring at the house outside. Reflecting on her aunt’s words, she cautiously opened the window, and it quickly flew over to the ledge. Francesca noticed Katie’s hand on the envelope, and carefully removed it from the owl’s leg. The poor bird looked around for a treat for its efforts.
“Unless you want toothpaste buddy, I have nothing,” she told it apologetically, and it took off with a bit of a huff.
She didn’t open it until she went downstairs. Showing her aunt, Francesca told her that it was her friend Katie. Her aunt gave her an approving nod, asking if she wanted a cup of tea while she read it.
Hey Cesca,
Why are you so MIA? Angie said she’d written to you when George didn’t get any replies, but why are you ignoring her?
Francesca rolled her eyes, deciding not to reply if she read his name one more time in the letter. She accepted the tea from her aunt and continued reading.
I know you’re down about everything, but don’t cut us all out, okay? Send me back at least a little something so I know you got this. Even just a sad face on the paper so we know you’re alive at least.
We’re all going to the alley next Saturday (the 24th, in case you don’t open this right away), please come. We won’t go to their shop until right at the end, so we can all get our things for school and you can go.
But I think you should come.
You don’t have to.
(But you should).
Let me know you’re alive please,
Your bestie,
Katie.
“Well?” Francesca’s aunt asked, as Francesca put the letter down on the table.
“They want to meet.”
“That’s nice?” Her aunt asked more than commented. Francesca simply raised her brows from behind her mug. “They still care about you.”
“Yeah,” Francesca said fiddling with her pyjama sleeve. “They want to go to his shop after getting school things.”
“The boy?” Francesca nodded in response to her aunt’s question. “He owns a shop? How old is he?”
“Year above me at school, but only a few months older by age.”
“Ah,” her aunt replied. “Well, you should go. Make yourself look top notch, and make it seem like life got better without him.”
“I’ve been hanging out with a ten and nine year old all summer!”
“You tell them you’ve been busy with people from your, what do you call it… muddle? Us non-magicky people?”
Francesca snorted and corrected her aunt.
“Muggle.”
“Muggle!” Her aunt shared a giggle at the funny word. “Anyway, tell them you were busy with some old muggle people you knew, you took a beach trip with a guy called Sam, he’s a bit younger than you but he wants to know everything you’re doing-“
“Sam is nine years old!” Francesca laughed.
“They don’t need to know how much younger, Frankie-“
“And my cousin!”
“Well you’re trying to make this boy jealous, you can’t let them know that!”
The two girls shared a little fit of giggles that was interrupted by a yawn from the younger.
“Off you go to bed honey, sleep on it,” her aunt told her. “I think it’ll do you the world of good.”
Just before Francesca was about to switch off the light and sleep, she pulled out her notebook and scribbled a quick, I’m alive. I’ll see you there, 1pm in the LC. Hoping on a chance Katie’s owl was still around, she stuck her head out of the window. Sure enough, he was on the tree opposite the window. He must have been instructed to wait by Katie, and wasn’t very happy about it judging from his grumpy pecks on her hand as she fixed the letter to his leg. Still, he flew off dutifully with the letter.

Electric Love
George Weasley x reader
Tumblr media
George Weasley was someone who could light up a room with his infectious energy and sense of humor. From the moment you met him at Hogwarts, you were captivated by his vibrant personality and carefree spirit. He was always up for a good time, and his natural charisma drew people to him like a magnet.
Despite his outgoing nature, George had a kind heart and a genuine concern for those around him. He was quick to make friends and even quicker to make them laugh. As you got to know him better, you found yourself drawn to his lively personality and the way he made you feel.
At first, your relationship with George was purely platonic. You enjoyed spending time with him, and the two of you had a lot in common. But as you spent more time together, you began to see him in a new light. You noticed the way his eyes crinkled when he laughed, the way his smile lit up his face, and the way he made you feel like the most important person in the room.
As your feelings for him deepened, you began to wonder if he felt the same way. You started to look for signs that he might feel the same way, but nothing was ever clear. It wasn't until a chance encounter one day that George finally revealed his true feelings, and you were overjoyed to find out that he felt the same way.
The moment George confessed his feelings for you, everything changed. The dynamic between the two of you shifted from friendly to romantic, and it was like a spark had been ignited. You began dating, and it felt like a whirlwind romance that you never wanted to end.
Being with George was an experience like no other. His presence filled you with a sense of excitement and energy that you had never felt before. Every time he walked into the room, it was like the air was charged with electricity. You were constantly on the edge of your seat, waiting to see what he would do or say next.
You loved the way George made you feel alive, and he was always pushing you to try new things and take risks. With him by your side, you felt like you could conquer the world. His humor and light-heartedness were infectious, and you found yourself laughing more than ever before.
As your relationship progressed, you began to discover new layers to George's personality. You found out that he was incredibly caring and compassionate, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He had a way of making you feel like the most important person in the world, and you cherished every moment you spent with him.
For you, being with George was like being caught in a whirlwind of passion and excitement. You never knew what each day would bring, but you were eager to find out. Every moment you spent together felt like pure magic, and you knew that you had found something special in each other. Your love for George was electric, and you felt like the luckiest person in the world to have him by your side.
One night, you and George collapsed into bed, exhausted but content. As you lay there, wrapped up in each other's arms, you felt a sense of peace and happiness wash over you.
Just as you were starting to drift off to sleep, George looked deep into your eyes, and the intensity of his gaze made your heart skip a beat. He whispered those three little words that you had been dying to hear: "I love you."
It was like the whole world stopped for a moment as you realized just how much you loved him too. You looked into his eyes, and you could see the depth of his feelings for you reflected back. You knew in that moment that he was the one you wanted to spend the rest of your life with.
Tears welled up in your eyes as you whispered back, "I love you too, George." You wrapped your arms around him tighter, feeling like you never wanted to let go. It was a moment of pure, unadulterated love, and you knew that it was something you would never forget.
From that moment on, your love only grew stronger. You spent all your time together, exploring the world around you and creating memories that would last a lifetime. And no matter where life took you, you knew that your love would always be there, shining bright like an electric spark.

George Weasley - Delicate
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing : (F/M) || George Weasley x Reader Word Count : 4.1k Warning : Heavy angst as requested. Notes : I got a little bit carried away with this one.
Their laughter echoes within the walls of the Common Room. Her face was burning, both from fluster and the fatigued muscles of her face from the non stop smile. She was sitting the furthest from the fireplace yet she could’ve sworn that her skin was flaming in fire. Her eyes are glued on him, watching every gesture, every breathy laughter and every cheers he made. He was the centre of her life, the very source of her drive.
But she supposed, so is the whole castle.
She’s reminded every other time they have a conversation that she’s merely one from his long list of admirers. Being the calmer twin only meant that it was easier for girls to approach him. Girls would come at him, giving him love letters and other trinkets in hope to catch just a glimpse of his attention. And every single time, she has to pretend that the gesture didn’t bother her because what exactly could she do? It isn’t like she has a chance with him in the first place.
George Fabian Weasley was the definition of perfection. At least, in her dictionary. He was smart, within and outside of academic achievements. He knew exactly how to brighten the room, which jokes to crack and what prank to do to lift the mood. He was kind and affectionate. Everything a girl could dream of their knight in shining armour would be.
“Have you heard?” Some girl from her left whispered to another yet loud enough for her to hear “Fred Weasley has asked someone to be his date, meaning only George’s still up on the market.”
“Really? Who’s he going with?”
“Angelina!” The other girl answers “It’s no surprise really, seeing how close they are from quidditch practices.”
“I suppose so. Do you think George would ask someone from the quidditch team too, then? Alicia perhaps?”
“Wouldn’t be a surprise if he does. They’re like honey and bees, especially lately. I think they might’ve been an item already.”
She chews on her lower lip, trying to maintain the calm composure she’s losing through her fingertips. She too has noticed the not so subtle closeness George and Alicia have these days. He’s spent more time taking care of the quidditch equipment with her, coming to the Great Hall together for meals, and doing his paperworks together. All the mentioned activities, aside from quidditch practice, were normally done with her, not Alicia. To say that she felt replaced would be an understatement.
But she knew deep down that she has no right to ever feel disappointed and hurt. George was never hers to begin with. The sense of belonging was only felt one sided, never reciprocated by the other end. She was the only one holding onto every little mundane thing they shared as if they were her life milestones.
“Neville asked me to be his date.” Ginny says, whispering excitedly as she squeezes in to sit next to her.
She flashes a smile, squeezing Ginny’s arm in a warm response, “That’s brilliant, Ginny!”
“Mhm,” Ginny nods eagerly “Have you found a decent date yet?”
“Yeah, I’m not so sure that I’ll be going.” She says with a soft laughter “Balls and dances are not my thing.”
“What are you talking about, balls and dances are every girls’ thing!”
She smiles, averting her eyes back to the pranksters who are still cracking their jokes.
Ginny’s right, balls and dances are every girls’ thing. A huge part of her was screaming and hoping that she could go to the ball with her charming prince, spending the night as they waltzed to some romantic song, being completely intoxicated with each other’s presence. But the thought feels like nothing but a mere dream now that she uses her head more than her heart. Exactly how long would she entertain herself with the blissful fake scenarios where her love was reciprocated?
“It would be a fun night, don’t you think?” Ginny asks, still persuading her “Imagine how beautiful the Great Hall would be, the music, the food, everything! And we get to dress up! Out of these insipid robes for once.”
“I suppose.”
“What is making you so uninterested?” Ginny asks with raised brows “If you can’t find a bloke worthy enough, I can ask one of my brothers to escort you. I’m sure one of them would be delighted to be your date.”
“No, please don’t.” She says fast, afraid the younger Weasley would pursue her wild idea. With Fred escorting Angelina and Ron who seems to be so determined to ask one of the Beauxbatons, George would be the only brother left for Ginny to ask the favour and although it would’ve been nice to have George asked her for the ball, being asked merely out of pity would be the one embarrassment she could not live with.
“You’re right. None of my brothers are deserving enough to escort you.” Ginny says as she watches the twins fuse a firecracker “You know what, the ball is still weeks away. I’m sure we’ll figure something out.”
She remains quiet, only replying to the redhead girl with a small smile.
She knew that the possibility of her being escorted by George to the ball was slim to none. The distance that’s slowly growing between them is becoming a hurtful thorn that’s piercing deeper into her heart each day. From day one she knew that there would be no chance of him ever returning her feelings. Why should he when he could choose literally any other girl?
—-
Her mind was loud. The ball is approaching close and there’s still no news of George having a date just yet. It was as if she was stuck in a labyrinth, every step she took led to another door that just further fuelled her insecurity. Perhaps George has asked someone in private, unlike his twin brother who asked Angelina in public. George has always been the more reserved twin after all.
But wouldn’t he want to share the happy news if he indeed does have a date? She knew that their friendship had been strained for the past few months, but something as special as a Yule Ball date would surely be something he’d want to share with her. She’s been his best secret keeper after all.
Understanding that slumber wouldn’t be her friend tonight, she peels herself off of her blanket and walks outside of the room. Perhaps she could ask the house elves a tiny favour of hot milk and biscuits to help. Or maybe a late night stroll would make her tired enough to fall asleep. Either of which seems like a better idea than to ponder herself with these unanswered questions.
Walking down the staircase, she could hear faint noise of music from the Common Room. Laughter was heard louder as she descended closer. There were two people, a boy and a girl’s voice echoing through the walls. One’s voice she would recognise anywhere anytime.
“Alright, I think that’s enough practice for the night.” The boy says with slight pants “I think tomorrow I’ll ask- Hey, you.”
She was frozen on her spot. The sight she’s just witnessed would be the bane of her nightmares to follow. There they were, her hands resting casually on his shoulders, big happy grins plastered on their faces. The very position she wishes she could be with him. Close and intimate.
“George, Alicia,” She says softly, forcing a smile and fighting the tears welling up her eyes “I didn’t mean to interrupt, I’m sorry.”
“Don’t worry, you’re not interrupting anything. We’re about to get to bed, too.” Alicia answers with a warm smile “Where are you heading?”
“Kitchen.” She says short “I couldn’t sleep.”
“Oh, can I join you?” George asks, a warm smile evident on his face “I could use a glass of milk too.”
She stares at George’s innocent eyes with defeat, thankful of the limited light showering them both so he wouldn’t see the disappointment and sadness she’s feeling. How could he stand there and still look as beautiful and charming as he always had when he’s just broken her heart into pieces?
“No, actually I’d rather you not, George.” She says softly, not being able to look at his face a second longer “I need some space and time alone with my thoughts.”
Without waiting for his response, she walks out of the Common Room in a haste. Her tears were flowing just when she reached the staircase, unable to hold them any longer. Her nightmare has happened. Every bad scenario she tried so hard to push out of her head has finally come true.
George Weasley has a date for the Yule Ball.
—-
The following days have been hell. Hours spent detached to reality while nights would be filled with her silent cries. She has emptied her bottle of non-puffy potion to help ease her swollen eyes, but it was to no avail. Her sadness is bleeding out of her.
She’s tried her best to avoid George. Exchanging her seat in every class they shared and would leave before George could reach her. She doesn’t even take her meals on her usual spot at their table anymore. She reckons that her spot has been long occupied by another now that he’s got a new bird to entertain.
She knew that from the beginning she stood no chance to be with him. She knew that she was just another background girl in his bright and daring life, praying that with whatever miracle there is he would spare just a glance and wave her a smile. Yet with all this knowledge and understanding, why does it still hurt? Why does it still torment her everytime the memory of him and Alicia plays in her mind?
“Love, wait!” George calls, running and barely able to catch her as he pulls her hand “Blimey, do I have a stench or something? You’ve been avoiding me like I was the plague!”
“I’m busy, George.” She says, prying her hand off of him “Now if you’ll excuse me-”
“Not so fast.” He says, stopping her by placing a hand in front of her “I just need a minute of your time, please. It won’t be long. There’s something rather urgent I need to speak to you about.”
She wanted to flee from him. Run as fast as her legs could carry her and go back to her room, hide under her blanket and wait until the weeks passed. She’s demented enough, couldn’t he tell? What could he possibly want to talk to her now that he’s got Alicia? Couldn’t he just leave her be?
“Please,” George begs once more “I’m only asking for a minute of your time.”
Looking at his pleading eyes, she finally gave in and gave a slight nod.
He grins in victory, clapping his hand, “Right, so uh- Godric, I don’t know where to start.”
She stares at his eyes. A sense of nervousness was evident from his face. George rubs his palms to his trousers, trying to maintain his cool composure though it’s clear that he’s losing it. She wonders if these jolts were caused by his excitement for sharing the big news with her. A little bit overdue, sure, but it’s not like she’s given him the chance to tell her that he’s seeing Alicia.
“I have something to ask you.” He starts, a nervous smile decorating his face “It’s, uh, it’s about girls.”
She takes a sharp breath, “Right.”
“I, uh, I have a bit of trouble on said topic.” He continues, beating around the bushes to find the right words to say “You know how the Yule Ball is coming, right? And I, uh, there’s this girl that I wanted to ask to be my date. I know that time’s wearing thin and I should’ve asked her the first time the ball was announced but I just couldn’t muster the courage to ask her, you know? I don’t want to come as too strong or anything, she’s a rather special girl.”
She grips her robe tighter, trying to keep her emotions packed. She couldn’t break down in front of him, not when he looks like he’s flustered and in need of a friend to talk to.
“She’s a close friend of mine.” George says, smiling as he begins to describe her “She’s brilliant, to say the least. I just- I can’t find the words to describe her but take it from me, she’s the most brilliant girl there is.”
She says softly, forcing a smile, “You seem to be so fond of her.”
Fighting her tears, she wasn’t sure why George hadn't mentioned Alicia’s name once when she had already caught them red handed the other night. It wasn't exactly a secret for her anymore, so why not just say her name instead of describing how wonderful she is? Doesn’t he know that it’s hurting her?
“I am.” He nods, looking completely intoxicated with admiration “I’m head over heels for her.”
“What exactly is your problem with her then?” She says, sounding a little bit more rude than she expected to but she clearly couldn’t stand another second hearing him swooning over Alicia “You said you two are close.”
“I- Well,” George stutters, completely caught off guard from her irritated tone “I suppose, I wanted to ask for your opinion. If you were in her shoes, how would you like me to ask you for the ball?”
She lets out a scoff. Is this boy for real now? Asking how she would like him to ask her for the ball? Isn’t that just plain cruel?
“What do you want, George?” She asks with more annoyance in her tone “Why are you asking me this? I mean haven’t you been occupied with Alicia lately? Shouldn’t you ask for her opinion or approval instead?”
“I- Well, I have asked Alicia actually but she said I should ask you.”
“Oh, so you’re here because your plan with Alicia didn’t go well? Is that what this is?” She argues, anger and hurt clouding her mind “Is that really all that I am to you? A back up plan? Someone you go to when things aren’t going well with your bird?”
George raises an eyebrow, looking bewildered, “Love, what- I just- What are you talking about?”
“Look, George, I really don’t have time for this.” She says fast before letting herself get even more angry “I’m sorry that things didn’t work out with Alicia, but frankly speaking you have tons of other girls you can ask with so just pick one and be done with it.”
Before George could utter another word, she left him in a hurry. She takes big angry steps away from the redhead boy, praying that her leg could carry her as furthest as it could. The puppy pleading eyes of his would haunt her. She knew that she’s being an arse for spitting him right on the face where he clearly needs someone to talk to, but she couldn't let herself drown even deeper. She couldn’t let him drag her further to the pit of despair. He’s hurt her just enough.
—-
The dreadful night finally comes. In contrast to the happy and excited looks of her friends, she drank the glass of non-alcoholic drink with a frown. If it wasn’t for Ginny dragging her by the neck, she wouldn’t have stepped a foot to the Great Hall tonight.
Taking the empty seat beside her, Ron let out a huff of annoyance. His shoulders were dropped, hair dishevelled and face red in embarrassment. His date was nowhere to be seen, that is if he’s got one in the first place. The dress robe he’s wearing and the long face he’s showing is making it hard for her to tell.
“You having fun?”
Ron rolled his eyes, “The best night of my life.”
“Mine too.” She sighs “I just want to hex myself to death, you know?”
Taking a look at the room, her eyes stopped at the sight of George, talking casually with his date in the corner of the room. Things worked out in the end, she reckons. They’ve finally sorted their problem and he finally got Alicia as his date. She wasn’t sure if she should feel relieved that he’s finally got to go with her, the girl he so much praised about, or should she hate him even more for rubbing his happiness on her face.
“Where’s your date?”
She shrugs, “I don’t have one.”
“Bullshit.” Ron chuckles yet stops right away as he notices her seriousness “You haven’t got a date?”
Once again, she shrugs.
“But why don’t you? I thought you already had someone, that's why you rejected my brother.”
“Your brother?” She asks, raising an eyebrow “What are you talking about?”
“Well, George’s been saying that he’s going to ask you to be his date since the ball was announced, but a couple days ago he said he’s going with Alicia instead, so I figured you must’ve had a date already.” Ron confesses, face full of confusion “He even asked her to teach him the dance so he won’t make a fool of himself in front of you, you know.”
She closes her eyes as her brain tries to digest the new information. She facepalms herself, realising the grave mistake she’s made for giving in to the bad scenarios she over-thinks about. She should’ve let George finish his words that day. She should’ve waited for him a little longer. She should’ve given him the benefit of the doubt and let him explain himself. All these disastrous nights could’ve been avoided if she had been a little bit more patient with him.
“Merlin, I screwed up everything.” She whispers, turning to Ron “Do you think he’d forgive me? Do you think George would ever forgive me for being such an arse?”
Ron chuckles, “Are you kidding? My brother’s mental about you. You can rip his heart out and stomp it to the ground and he’d still kiss the dirt you stepped on.”
She smiles, cheek tainted in light blush.
“But please don’t tell him I told you that.” Ron said fast, realising the secret he’s spilled “He’ll have my head if he knew I told you about his crush.”
She chuckles and nods.
The night felt lighter with Ron to accompany her. That or the fact that she knew more of George’s feelings about her. Perhaps she’s placed too much attention to his surroundings to ever realise where his eyes are actually at. The girls fighting over his affection had blinded her from the fact that she was the only one he ever wanted to impress. She was the only one he wanted to be with.
“Evening, you two.” A voice greets, an unsure smile plastered on his face “Lovely ball, isn’t it?”
“Right, that’s my cue.” Ron says in a low volume, loud enough for her to hear him before standing up and leaving “She’s all yours, George.”
George squinted his eyes, eyeing his younger brother with a suspicious look but chose to say nothing. He turned to see her, smiling and taking the spot Ron left, “You look lovely tonight.”
“As do you.” She says with a smile “Much more handsome than usual.”
A hint of blush appears on his face.
George chews on his lower lip, looking as if there’s something fighting its way out of his lips. The palm of his hands were getting clammier, his heart was beating at an alarmingly fast rate. He’s been trying to find the words to apologise to her from their misunderstanding yet now he seems to have lost every word he’s ever known. Perhaps it was because he wasn’t sure what he should be apologising for, but remembering her reaction the other day, he knew that he made a mistake and whatever it was he’s desperate to fix it.
“Do you want to dance?” She asks, breaking his internal argument to stop “I mean, if Alicia’s fine with that of course.”
He blinks, stuttering, “Of course, yeah, sure! She’s fine with it, she couldn’t care less.”
With a satisfied grin, George stood up and held his hand out. She gladly accepts it, letting him lead the way to the dance floor. The music has come to the calmer side now that people begin to leave the Great Hall. It’s beginning to be late after all.
She places her hands on his shoulders as he rests his on her waist. Both were looking visibly nervous, afraid that they would make the wrong move and step on the other’s foot. Neither would mind if such a thing happened, to be truthfully honest. The world could burn and crumble right on this very second and they wouldn’t even notice as they drown themselves in each other’s gazes.
“I, uh,” George stammers, shoulders slightly shaking from the nerve wrecking havoc inside him “I want to apologise for the other day. I don’t know what happened but I figured you’re right, I’ve kind of been too occupied with Alicia lately. I’m sorry for that.”
She shakes her head, “No, don’t be. I was being unreasonable and dumped you my frustration when you were innocent all along. I should be the one apologising, George. I’m really sorry.”
“What were you stressing about?” He asks softly “Mind sharing them with me?”
“It’s silly, really.”
“Nothing’s ever silly about you.” He cuts in, eyes still glued on her “If it’s bothering you that much then it must be something serious.”
She shows a small smile, contemplating if she should be blunt and speak her mind, “I’ve been feeling more insecure lately. I feel like I’m not good enough for someone, like I’m just someone easily disposed of and replaced with.”
“Someone?” He asks, eyes softening and looking guilty “Please don’t say that I’m the culprit.”
She remains quiet.
“Oh, Love.” George sighs, understanding her silence “I’m really sorry. I never meant for you to think that I’ve replaced you, I never intended to. You’re someone I could never replace, believe me. Nothing’s happening with Alicia and me, she was just being a friend, I promise.”
George continues with his long apologise yet she couldn’t process any of his words. Her eyes were locked on his lips, wondering how blissful it would be to kiss them. Her heart was beating fast, she could only pray that he wouldn’t hear its loud thumps. Her skin was hot, an unfamiliar tension building inside her.
“I like you.”
George was stunned. He looked at her with widened eyes. The confession caught him off guard, causing his brain to completely shut down.
“I like you, George Weasley.” She confesses once more, this time with a tone more firm and assured than before “And I’m really sorry that my feelings only caused us to fight. I just- I’ve seen the girls who've tried to approach you. I’ve seen how much prettier, smarter, and better they are than me and I just- I couldn’t help but to feel inferior than them.”
He remains quiet, listening to each of her words with full attention.
“You could pick any girl in this castle, George. You have a long list of admirers and I just-” She paused, smiling pitifully to herself “The thought of you ever reciprocating my feelings is just too good to be true.”
George’s hands moved to cupped her cheeks. He caresses her cheek gently, staring at her with a smile, “Can I kiss you?”
She nods lightly, showing a faint smile.
With a warm smile, George leans in. The kiss was gentle, as if he feared she would pull away anytime. His hands never left her cheeks, gently rubbing her skin as if she was the most precious thing he’s ever held. He’s holding her ever so tenderly, making her feel like she was the most delicate thing he’s ever laid fingers on.
“I’m sorry that you ever feel that way, Love.” George whispers as they pull away, his eyes never leaving hers “For what it’s worth, there’s never been anyone more important to me than you. You’re the only one I have eyes for and I’m sorry for not making it clear before, but if you’ll have me, I promise I’ll spend each day proving that you’re the one best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
“You’re going to lose your admirers.” She says, smiling from his lovely confession.
“Fred can have them.” He says, rolling his eyes “I’m sure he’ll be more than delighted.”
She chuckles.
“So, is that a yes?”
She makes a thinking face, teasing the boy, “Maybe I could use one more kiss. To make myself sure and all, you know.”
“Just one?” George questions, chuckling “Here I am willing to kiss you all night.”
“Shut up and just kiss me already.”

Drunk (Part One)
pairing: George Weasley + OC
word count: 3348
warnings: underage alcohol consumption, slightly smutty? let me know if there's anything else
my masterlist and part two
Tumblr media
Juliette is sitting in the train on her way to Hogwarts with Malfoy, Zabini and Parkinson. She and Draco have just gotten out of the prefect’s carriage. Currently Malfoy is talking about how much he will enjoy seeing the look on Potter’s face when he sees Umbridge.
“Juliette since you sit beside me anyway you might as well see it with me.” he said
“Yeah, sure.” she replied, uninterested in the subject. She was so used to him obsessing over Potter that after some multiple love accusations she learned to drown him out as soon as he starts mentioning his name.
“Juliette, come sit beside me.” he said, pushing Parkinson away to make space for her. If looks could kill Juliette would’ve been six five feet under at least six times a day. Pansy likes Draco and since his parents and Juliette’s are so keen on them getting married after hogwarts; they had made it their priority to urge both of them to sit together all the time.
Juliette does enjoy Draco’s company most of the time, when he isn’t being a git that is. She knew that he was mostly misunderstood, and that when he wanted to he could be a really good person. She didn’t like him in the way that their parents wanted them to, but she doesn’t let that have an impact on their relationship.
Juliette stood up and went to sit beside him, he looped an arm around her waist and she rested her head on his shoulder. They were comfortable with each other, mostly everyone in the Slytherin house knew that they didn’t like each other and only saw themselves as friends. However, that didn’t stop Parkinson from being a bitch to her.
The rest of the train ride went smoothly, she kept stealing glances at the door of the compartment waiting for a sign, the sign. She didn’t get it until there were only ten minutes left of the train ride, a face she recognised as Fred Weasley walked past their compartment looking anywhere other than the door and kept tugging on his tie.
A small smile spread on her face, tugging on their tie was Juliette’s and the Weasley twin’s sign that they wanted to talk to each other. It was painfully obvious that there was something going on because the way the Weasleys tug on their ties was so awkward and weird. She was sure that it was the only reason why they even wore their ties in the first place.
After their first train ride together, she decided that she wanted to be friends with the twins; but since she didn’t want her parents to kick her out she told them they had to keep it secret, one slap was more than enough in her world. The idea really excited them knowing that it was, as they put it, ‘mischievous and cool’ they really liked the whole secrecy aspect.
“Blood traitor filth everywhere in this school, I get disgusted just thinking about it.” Draco said, looking at Fred as he went into the other direction. She really resisted the urge to hit him, and glare at him. She has tried before, but it’s no use, so Juliette doesn’t bother replying as she hears murmurs of agreement from the two other Slytherins, and she rests her head in the crook of Malfoy’s neck and says “Wake me up when we get there.”
“There’s only ten minutes left.” He replies, looking at her weirdly but still pulling her closer to him. She murmurs against his neck, “Like I give a fuck.”

Juliette is once again sitting beside Draco, but this time at dinner. He is snickering at Harry Potter’s face as he listens to Umbridge’s speech, and even she has to admit that he looks a little bit stunned. Most of the Hogwarts students look stunned except for ninety nine percent of Slytherin house, whose parents already work at the ministry, and knew that this was happening.
After a lot of speeches, the feast has finally begun. Everyone is eating and in the middle of Juliette eating a bit of Treacle Tart, which was her favourite. She was mostly excited about finally having her own room, because of her being a prefect.
She felt Draco’s hand tug on her waist, which was already there from the beginning of dinner. She looked at him with an eyebrow quirked up in questioning. “I know you’re gorgeous but he needs to stop.” He said, looking at her with a smirk.
“What are you talking about?” She inquired, confused.
He titled his head to the Gryffindor table where a particular ginger was looking at her. Upon seeing her gaze on her, he flushed and looked away. With a slight flush on her face she looked up at him and said “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
He scoffed and rolled his eyes and then looked back at her, their faces close. “Juliette we both know you aren’t dumb, so tell me which one of those blood-traitors was that?” he asked with a smirk.
She pulled her face slightly away from his and replied “George, I think.” She knew for a fact that that was George, she knew how to tell the twins apart from being friends with them for this long. She was glad that he was staring, she felt less weird doing it herself now.
He hummed and looked back to his food and then he gave his treacle tart to Juliette and then returned to his meal.
Juliette gave him a grateful smile and then looked back at George and he mouthed to her ‘your dorm tonight, miss Prefect.’ She returned his smile and ate her treacle tart.
⤹⋆⸙͎۪۫。˚۰˚☽˚⁀➷。˚⸙͎۪۫⋆
Juliette flopped on her bed, she had finished her rounds with Draco and he had led her to her room which was surprising near her’s. She had noticed that her room had two doors, one from the Slytherin Common Room and another one which was connected to an abandoned corridor.
She took off her robe, shoes and tie; leaving her in her sweater, a skirt and her knee high socks. She heard a knock on her door; -the one that connected to the corridor- when she opened the door she saw a smirking George Weasley, leaning against the door frame.
“George! Fucking finally!” She said as she stepped aside as an invitation for him to come into her room. As soon as he stepped inside and she shut the door, he embarrassed her with a long hug. She had to stand on her tiptoes to hug him properly. His hands were around her waist and her arms around his neck when he said, “I missed you.”
“I missed you.” She replied, pulling her arms away from his neck and she settled back on her feet. “Where’s Fred and Lee?”
“They’re in detention with Filch, and I wanted to come talk to you” He said, with a smile and his hands still around her waist.
“How are you not in detention then?” She questioned her eyebrows furrowing, stepping away from him and his hand falling from her waist as she sat on her bed.
“Congratulations Snidget, you now know who is the best runner out of all of the three of us.” He replied smirking, sitting on her bed beside her. “I tried to convince them to take detention since it was only fair, but they said it’s only fair to you that someone talks to you. Considering we did the signal and all.”
She let out a small chuckle at the story and said “Well look at that, detention on the first day. That has to be some school record right?”
“Mostly likely.”
“So what did you do?” She asked.
“Dungbombs.”
“Where?”
“Filch’s office.”
“Classic.” She replied with a smile, and that same fluttery feeling in her stomach returned when she noticed that he was staring at her with a similar smile. She didn’t say anything for a second before she realised something. She asked, “How did you know that there was another door, from that corridor?” she asked, she didn’t even know that there was a door until today.
He looked nervous slightly and said “A few old friends helped me with that, they knew where everything was.” She nodded, accepting his weird answer.
She layed on her back to look at the ceiling, and she felt the mattress shift and she looked to her right to see George in the same position as her. “So, what did you guys want to talk about?”
“Do I need a reason to see you after an entire summer?” He replied looking at her, his eyebrows raised teasingly. “I actually just wanted your company.” he looked away as he said the second part, cheeks slightly tinted.
She ignored the weird gesture and went into her closet. “Look what I have!” She said in a sing-songy voice and a smile.
George jumped off the bed and grabbed the bottle of Fire-Whiskey from her and asked “where’d you get this?”
“I have five, I got’ em from my parents. Snuck them here from their wineceller.” She replied, with a smirk. She went to her bed and sat down and took a sip from the bottle.
Before she could process the alcohol burning down her throat, the bottle was snatched from her, and she saw George sitting on the bed beside her drowning at least half the bottle. She got the other one and started drinking too.
When they were both properly drunk, she saw George looking at her in an odd way. She furrowed her eyebrows and asked “what?”
George then did something that he was sure that if he was sober he could have never done. He wasn’t Fred, he couldn’t flirt with the girl he liked. He placed his fingers under her chin, lifted it up and said “have I ever told you how absolutely gorgeous you are, Darling?”
She flushed and was about to reply when she saw his gaze shift to something behind her and he let out an audible gasp and he let go of her chin and went towards whatever excited him this much. She looked behind her, annoyed that her moment with him was ruined.
She got off the bed and looked behind her where she saw George standing almost like he was going to explode from all the excitement. He was standing in front of her muggle radio, normally muggle objects don’t work at hogwarts; but charms was her best subject. She looked at George annoyed and said “have I ever told you that you have the attention span of a fish?”
He let out a sarcastic laugh and she said “you really are your father’s son aren’t you?” She obviously has never met Arthur Weasley but she heard a lot of stories of the twins speaking of their father; and her father complaining about him to know what he is like.
“I never heard about any muggle object that I liked except for those-” he said pointing to the radio and added “and muggle fireworks.”
She looked at him and asked, “do you wanna play something?”
He nodded eagerly, and watched her intently as she placed a silencing spell.
She had to place the spell to avoid anyone from her house to hear the music, she didn’t want to attract any unwanted attention. She pressed some buttons and some music started playing.
She recognised it as the music from the Yule Ball, she had gone to the ball with Draco per her parents’ request. She enjoyed the ball with him and even got her first kiss from him.
George very gailently bent down slightly and put his hand out; said with a smirk and a very posh over exaggerated accent “may I have this dance m’lady?”
She rolled her eyes, but placed her hand in his anyway and said “you’re extremely cliche, you know that right?” It was then his turn to roll his eyes. At first they slow danced, with his hand around her waist and the other in her hand, while her hand was on his shoulder and the other hand in his’. They danced for a while, until the music turned up beat, they were laughing, jumping and running around the room.
After a while they got tired and sat on her bed. By that time they had both drowned down two bottles of fire-whiskey each. Juliette layed on her bed, her elbow propped her up and she watched George drink. She watched as his Adam’s apple started bobbing up and down; when he was about to put his head down. She couldn’t control her hormones anymore and placed her lips on his neck and started placing small kisses and hickeys on his neck. She heard him groan and as the fluttering feeling started in her stomach, he placed the bottle of fire-whiskey on the floor and placed his hand around her hips and squeezed lightly.
»»————- ————-««
George felt her lips on his neck giving him a hickey and he squeezed her hips; he wants to kiss her so badly. He’s wanted to kiss her for so long; but as much as it pains him he can’t. Not when she’s drunk, he felt himself start to harden; that’s when he pushed her slightly away and said “I’m going to go to the bathroom.”
She nodded slightly pouting, they were both so drunk it wouldn’t have been right. He knew for a fact that even though she could hold her alcohol she would remember nothing from the moment she starts the second bottle, he wouldn’t want their first kiss to be like that.
After he took care of his boner in the bathroom, he got out and saw Juliette asleep in an awkward position. She let out a small chuckle and he ignored the fluttering feeling in his stomach, as he placed her wright under her blanket.
He looked at the clock and saw that it was way past curfew, not that it would have mattered to him; but he decided that because of how drunk he was there was no way he was going to not get caught by filch.
He sighed and lifted the blanket and slept beside her.
He unknowingly, in the middle of his slumber; he placed his arm around her waist and buried his head in the crook of her neck. He slept with the smell of coconut, almonds, and lavender.
⤹⋆⸙͎۪۫。˚۰˚☽˚⁀➷。˚⸙͎۪۫⋆
She had a massive hangover that was the first thing she felt when she woke up, she couldn’t remember a thing. The second thing that she noticed was the presence of another person on her bed, and that that person was george. Juliette felt her cheeks flush massively and then she took notice of their position which caused her to turn into the color of his hair.
She looked at the clock, and realised that she was extremely late. She started gently pushing George to wake him up, “George.” she called in a soft voice. Noticing his lack of movement, she nudged him harder; “George, wake up.”
He turned a little bit and pulled her closer to him. Juliette rolled her eyes and pushed herself out of his grip and then she yelled out “George fucking Weasley, WAKE UP RIGHT NOW!”
He sat up in the bed quickly, looking around alarmed. He calmed down when his gaze landed on her and he had a look of confusion then it was quickly replaced with a smirk. “Well, good morning to you too.”
“Go back, we’re both already late.” She said annoyed, as she started to grab her uniform out of the closet and headed to the bathroom.
When she got out she saw George still in her room. She looked at him with a wide expression, “you’re going to be late for class, we already missed breakfast.”
“You know for a fact that I don’t care about being late.” he said with a smile. He sat on her bed, which she noticed he had made for her; she muttered a quiet ‘thanks for the bed.’
She was packing her school books, while George was looking around her room; when they both heard a knock on the door of the common room.
“Juliette, are you awake? You missed breakfast.”
Juliette heard the voice of Draco Malfoy and she panicked slightly. “Um, I’m awake. Don’t come in, I’m changing.” There was a moment of silence before they heard him reply with a slightly deeper voice.
“Well um, I got you breakfast; I’ll wait for you outside.”
She muttered ‘okay’. She turned to George, and motioned for him to leave to the door. He grabbed her wrist away from the door, and went near the other door and hugged her tightly. “Wanna go to the kitchen sometime?”
When they let go of each other, she lifted an eyebrow and asked “what kitchen?” There was a smile on his face, when he said, “exactly, I’ll come to you when we can go.”
She nodded and he opened the door and left. She grabbed her bag, and went outside the door where Draco was waiting for her to go outside. She saw him holding a plate with all her favorite snacks, she smiled at the gesture and said “good morning.”
He replied with a smile of his own, “took you fucking long enough.”
She gave him a playful push, and then took the plate from him and gave him a kiss on the cheek. He then started lecturing her the entire way about punctuality, taking her studies seriously, taking her OWLS seriously, and that she should finish eating before they reach the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom.
She however missed the slight blush on his face the entire way from her small gesture.
When they reached the classroom, Draco sat at the end of the class in the right row; they were sitting in doubles so they sat beside each other. Surprisingly they were 10 minutes early, so they talked.
“I can’t believe that Zabini was stupid enough to take Divination as an OWLS subject.” Draco said, rolling his eyes.
“Oh come on, he might be interested in it.” Juliette tried to defend her -somewhat- friend and the subject.
“No, he’s only taking it because it’s an easy O.” he scoffed, turning away from her and leaning back slightly in his chair as he crossed his arms on his chest. “Who would be interested in Soulmates?”
“I would.” Juliette said truthfully, she looked to the front classroom thinking about this matter even more. She truly had wondered a couple of times if they did exist or not and if they do who would be her’s?
“Me.” Draco said, looking at her with a smirk.
“What?” she asked, confused.
“I know you were thinking about who your soulmate might be and I’m telling you it’s me.”
She folded her arms in front of her and said with an accusing tone “how could you be so sure?”
His smirk spreaded and he unwrapped his arms. He tilted his head slightly and said “well as a first, right now, I knew what you were thinking about; without even using legitimacy. We have known each other from when we were seven, and I know you better than anyone else.”
She opened her mouth to oppose him and then shut it again, finding no response. His smirk grew at the action, “you’ll know that for a fact sometime, don’t worry; just when you do be sure to tell me.”
“Arrogant git.” she replied, annoyed as Umbridge started the lesson
an: If I'm being completely honest, when I made the poll I really didn't want this story to win because I wrote it such a long time ago and I remember that I didn't really like it that much, but it's too late to change that so...hope you guys at least tolerate it, and I'm really going to try to make it better.
