Severus Snape And Constance Hardbroom Are Twin Flames. But They Do Differ In Various Ways:
-Snape is an INTJ while Hardbroom is an ISTJ.
-In comparison to Hardbroom, Snape seems a lot less incline to follow rules/tradition. This could be emphasized with their hair; Constance's long, dark hair is condensed in an extremely tight, neat bun (possibly tighter than McGonagall's). Severus's greasy, long, black hair would out and almost wild, itself.
-Snape has more of a sweet-tooth (*cough* *cough* Holiday Blancmange *cough* *cough*) along with being a jazz man judging by "Cauldron Full Of Hot, Strong Love". With Hardbroom, she mostly finds herself too disciplined to succumb to sweets. As for music, she often leans more towards traditional chants. That being said, Snape, himself, may be into that music genre too as "In Noctem" is another of his favorites.
-While Snape does care for the well-being for his students (notice how he'd be the first to show up in the incidents in "Chamber Of Secrets"), we all know he would be better off doing something else other than teaching. With Hardbroom , it can be argued that she always wanted to teach and does care for the education and well-being of her students.
-It is true Hardbroom favors Ethel Hallow while Snape favors Draco Malfoy. Yet, Constance favored Ethel not (just) out of classism but mostly due to Ethel being a prestigious student. And, to Hardbroom's credit, she would punish Ethel when she finds the Hallow girl has done something wrong. Snape would let Draco and the Slytherins get away with murder.
-While stoice, Constance is often more prone to expressing herself a lot more than Severus does. When Hardbroom's angry, she mostly yells. When Snape's angry, it's more (what TVTropes calls) "Tranquil Fury". Still not sure which is worse...
-While Constance is often critical of Mildred Hubble, she doesn't hate her; she just wishes for Mildred to not be...Mildred. As for Snape, he HATES Harry Potter for the "sin" of being James Potter's kid. But, at the end of his life, Snape may have grown to...care...for the boy due to finally seeing that Harry's also being Lily's son.
-While we don't really know Constance's childhood (did Kate Duchene ever say anything about that in her interviews?), it's implied that her "road to villiany" was due to being tutores under Heketty Broomhead during college. With Severus, his "road to villiany" was due to an abusive dad, a negligent mother, a band of bullies, teachers who barely took action against either the bullying or domestic abuse, losing the one true friend he had due to his own mistakes, and taking part (and abandoning) a terrorist wizarding group.
-While Constance doesn't shy away from dark green as seen in her Halloween attires, she seems more incline with purple/lavender judging by her pajamas. As for Snape, you could say his second favorite color is the Slytherin green.
-To Alan Rickman's dismay, poor Snape basicallly wore the exact same wardrobe throughout the films. With Constance, the woman's a low-key fashionista! Wearing so many kinds of black dresses and pajamas!
-Speaking of meta, while (according to Georgina Sherrington) small children were afraid of Kate Duchene's Hardbroom, it was almost the opposite with Rickman's Snape as costars like Evanna Lynch would recall a happy Rickman-in costume-being around cheerful kids. Ironic as Snape's technicallly the more...deadliest...out of him and Hardbroom.

Some pics from The Worst Witch S1 E7 ‘Miss Cackle's Birthday Surprise’
After Millie and Enid escaped the cupboard Ethel locked them in (and also having to preform a sudden unexpected air display introduced by Maud on one broomstick!) Mildred, Maud and Enid enjoy some cake after Miss Cackle’s birthday party,
Miss Hardbroom appears and congratulates Maud on the ‘ surprise’ seeing as it saved them from “A fate worse then death”
Millie finds out she’ll be going on the school trip.

TWW S4 E3 (Contains Spoilers)
So it looks like the writers are giving us what I ordered last decade in my s4 wish list (Miss Drill backstory--what I mean by this is that they’ve hinted at some sort of childhood drama between Miss Drill and the new teacher, kind of reminiscent of Pippa and Hecate). They also almost gave us Hecate becoming a parent! But then in the end she did the same thing that Indie’s bio mum did? Gave her up blindly and hoped for the best? Like did she think to ask her? I know Indie already told her that she wished she had never been a witch, but still, I feel like Hecate should have given her the choice, though it’s definitely not in her personality too. Idk if the tww writers read fanfic but it already feels like we’ve had some subtle references to some of the fanfic out there this season.
My question is where was Indie this summer? Did she go home with Mildred? Stay at the school? I guess now we’ll never know? A little detail, I guess, but I had envisioned Miss Hardbroom taking care of her over the summer. Maybe the writers felt that would have made the ending of this episode too sad.
Also what’s up with The Great Wizard just being able to randomly grant parental rights? No court case at all? Just, oh, I like you, I’m sure you’ll do fine?!??
(AND HECATE WENT TO THE ARCTIC CIRCLE FOR INDIE!!) worst part is Indie never knew Hecate wanted to adopt her. But if she did she might have--might--have wanted to stay I guess.
In the end, Indigo got back the years she lost, and she even got to see the school that had been erased from her memories, but what about Hecate? She lost those 30 years of her life.
As a side note Lydia Paige is doing a fantastic job of playing Bella playing Mildred, and her voice occasionally sounds like Georgina Sherrington so although I was really upset over Bella’s departure at first I feel like her replacement is somehow bringing even more nostalgia to a show that is already incredibly nostalgic?
I like that the rest of this season looks upbeat, and I’m already nerding out over the potion that makes Mildred an elegant speaker--love that they’re including that from the 98 version!

You know, Worst witch has a really wild timeline. It’s like star wars or something, let me explain?
like for example right now  its 3am and I’m copying a pen drive full of 98′s episode for someone in their late teens who vaguely remembers seeing a few on repeat but never like the full thing. but saw it on a 00′s buzzfeed thing rather then doing their uni work and felt nostalgic for a thing that came out and technically finished the year they were born but knew I probably had a youtube link handy. and also awake at 3am lol. A lady in my art group didn’t realise the books were still going till Jill Murphy was in the Saturday magazine a couple of years back. she read them to her kids when they were little and they’ve like what 5 maybe 10 years on me even so thier like 36 max? . She brought a then complete set for her granddaughter that same week and has the upcoming one on preorder after I told her it was coming out because we got chatting about a mildred hubble sketch i’d doodled.
I also have a workmate in her 30′s didn’t know that that the 98s series was a thing. she knew of the 80s film and had seen the NEW worst witch and knew there was a new Cbbc series because her markus love the four oclock club so just assumed they were all like the same universe. like sequels.
I’d read the books i had religiously and I’d seen the shows a kid but only got back around about gcse/6th form into it after an storybook illustration of mildred hubble showed up on deviant art. so then i found the seris and then fanfiction and the work of jill murphy and that then altered my life re those friends the art i did and writing friends which in turn had dirsct impact on recievieng mental health help, and working out what collage then uni i went to as well as realising I were queer/nb? who I wound’t have met if not for a bit of fan art, a fan fiction site which had like less then 200 stories at the time and this werid adaption of kids books?
I know someone who saw weird sister first? before anything else? One of my old tutors mates worked in print distribution or something and remembered seeing either the First or the second book come out. (who also hates the logo the books have now btw)
I’ve had so many time where I've seen “worst witch is like a harry potter” or WW is a rip off of HP.  which is werid because theres definate element were the WW advertisng or what ever tried to jump on the HP bandwagon? but at the same time WW its both newer and much older the the HP francise and a clear inspiration for some of HP elements???
You got these classical trained actors, and telly actors who’ve been in everything, and actor who are both. but who will always be __ from worst witch to a bubble of people. you got kids who will now be __ from worst witch. you’ve actors whose first or last jobs were/are on worst witch. you’ve a retired from acting mother of two somewhere who is still ‘Maud’ to many folks, in the same line Felicity Jones is now on the big screen and bella the newest Mildred is in GOT?
Ebay adverts keep popping up with VHS’s with Tim Curry’s face on  because I once tried hunting don the series. In fact every Halloween on tumblr if you go on the worst witch tag its full of Timmy currys face and folks asking about tamborines.  and another much smaller bunch yelling in caps its punky-night.
and like last fortnight I leant my spare copies of a bad spell and all at sea to a kid in my brownies/rainbows units. she loves reading, saw “based on the book” in the cbbc opening credits and couldn’t find half of them in library at school, but has to wait till her birthday to get the whole collection for herself. I asked if she was okay with missing a few or spoiling the ending of episodes potentially. but nah she just wanted more mildred hubble stories but she like how Mildred ‘is only a bit older then me rather then a nearly adult older’ because she’s going to big school soon or something.
and then she laughed cos bad spell has the reading level printed on the back because that was a thing? that copy of bad spell was printed (not released) from same year as the movie release. and All at sea is battered as hell and has a “now TV seris” cover so its Georgina Sherrington on the back and frount.  And I’ve had that copy of lost at sea from when I was her age. and now I’m copying the old seris and chatting about the movie and the spin offs and she’s reading them because she saw the new show. and i woulnt be in this deep except someone else liked it enough to draw fan art too like a decade or so ago. and there a new book possibly the very last one coming this year as season two wraps up.
Its werid. worst witch time line is werid some come and speak to me about this because its 3am and I just broke my brain.

I feel like I never mentioned the super important life fact that for about .04 seconds in 2006, I got to hang out with Georgina Sherrington, original Mildred Hubble, in Oxford? I was there for summer program when I was sixteen and I was studying Shakespeare, and she was the cool counselor who chaperoned all of the student trips into town to see whatever the local Shakespeare plays were. Even though I was a childhood fan of the series it took me a SOLID WEEK to put Georgie the counselor with Georgina Sherrington, Mildred Hubble, and the one time she did talk about it, she complained that they dubbed her out in the American version (which, they did! they dubbed everyone American except Miss Hardbroom. what the hell, HBO). Anyway I just remember her being really sweet and me just being thrilled to have a fellow Shakespeare dork around.

The Worst Witch (1998): Character Names, Spellings, and Performed By (to be reblogged/added to as needed)
Pupils
Mildred Hubble (Georgina Sherrington) – Mildred is a clumsy, bungling young witch-in-training, who never seems to get anything right at Miss Cackle's Academy for Witches. She does not come from a witch family like most of the other girls, but earns a scholarship at Cackle's Academy through a first-class piece of creative writing (she is portrayed as being creative throughout the series, especially in art)
Ethel Hallow (Felicity Jones, later Katy Allen) – Ethel is Mildred Hubble's acid-tongued rival. She is a "straight-A" student, comes from a prominent and historic witch family, and gives the impression of being a model student to her classmates. She is spoiled, snobbish and vindictive; though in the presence of the school's teachers she can turn on the charm and act sweet and innocent.
Maud Moonshine (Emma Brown, credited as Emma Jayne Brown in Series 3) – Maud is Mildred's best friend at Cackle's Academy. She is fiercely loyal to Mildred and assists her on most of her adventures, often against her better judgement.
Enid Nightshade (Jessica Fox) – Enid is another of Mildred's close friends, who is introduced after she is transferred to Cackle's Academy and Mildred is assigned as her guardian. Enid turns out to be a wild practical joker whose attempts to make Mildred like her only result in getting Mildred into trouble. Overall she is friendly and kindhearted, but sometimes oversteps the mark in her attempt to befriend and help people.
Drusilla Paddock (Holly Rivers) – Drusilla is Ethel's best and only friend. She is a vindictive bully but lacks the acid-tongued spite of Ethel, and seems to be in awe of her. Drusilla and Ethel have stuck together because nobody else can bear to be around them
Ruby Cherrytree (Joanna Dyce) – Ruby is another friend of Mildred's. She is a very tall black girl, with frizzy hair worn in pigtails and an inventive personality. Ruby is very loyal to her friends and keen to learn at Cackle's Academy. She is also heavily addicted to all kinds of "electronic contrivances" and therefore a thorn in the flesh of old-fashioned Miss Hardbroom.
Jadu Wali (Harshna Brahmbhatt) – Jadu is another of Mildred's close friends. She is mostly very sensible and, during the first two years at Cackle's, of a rather meek nature, yet she is often dragged along on whatever crazy crusade Mildred and the others are going on.
Sybil Hallow (Charlotte Knowles) – Sybil Hallow is Ethel's long-suffering younger sister. She starts attending Cackle's Academy as of Series 2, in the year below Ethel and Mildred.
Clarice Crow (Georgia Isla Graham) – Clarice is Sybil Hallow's best friend. She is very loyal and steadfast in character, supporting her tearful and less confident friend throughout Series 2. She revealed that she wanted to become a proper witch ever since she was very small.
Teachers
Miss Amelia Cackle (Clare Coulter) – Miss Cackle is the Headmistress of Cackle's Academy.
Miss Constance Hardbroom (Kate Duchêne) – Miss Hardbroom is the fearsome Deputy Headmistress of Cackle's Academy.
Miss Imogen Drill (Claire Porter) – Miss Drill is the PE teacher, and the only non-magical staff member at Cackle's Academy.
Miss Davina Bat (Una Stubbs) – Miss Bat is the slightly loopy Chanting teacher at Cackle's Academy during Series 1 and 2.
Miss Lavinia Crotchet (Polly James) – Miss Crotchet is the replacement Chanting teacher for Miss Bat
Recurring characters
Griselda Blackwood (Poppy Gaye) – Griselda (”Gris”) and her best friend, Fenella, are the main recurring characters of the series
Fenella Feverfew (Julia Malewski / Emily Stride) – Fenella, often known as "Fenny", is Griselda Blackwood's best friend, and never seen without her.
Charlie Blossom (Nicholas Pepper) – Charlie is Frank Blossom's nephew.
Frank Blossom (Berwick Kaler) – Frank is the caretaker at Cackles Academy.
Mistress Hecate Broomhead (Janet Henfrey) – Mistress Broomhead is an OFWITCH inspector and a member of The Witches' Guild.
Mrs Cosie (Sheena Larkin) – Mrs Cosie is the owner of the local tea rooms which are in the "out of bounds" area of the forest around the castle, but this does not stop the girls visiting whenever they can.
Barry "Baz" Dragonsbane (Paul Child) – Baz is a student wizard who attends Camelot College.
Gary "Gaz" Grailquest (Anthony Hamblin) – Gaz is Baz's best friend, and a fellow pupil at Camelot College.
Mr Hallow (Patrick Pearson) – Mr Hallow is the Chair of the Governors at Cackles, and Ethel's father.
Grand Wizard Egbert Hellibore (Terrence Hardiman / Richard Durden) – The Grand Wizard appeared in several episodes throughout the series, often visiting Cackles Academy with his wizard students. Hellibore is the head of Camelot College for Wizards
Merlin Langstaff (Guy Witcher) – Merlin, nicknamed "Loppy Lugs", is a student wizard at Camelot College. He was bullied by Baz and Gaz and accompanied them on several visits to Cackles. He left Camelot College to become Algernon Rowan-Webb's apprentice
Mrs Tapioca (Annette Badland) – Mrs Tapioca is the school cook. She is Italian and often complains that she has to cook traditional school food for the pupils rather than her own Italian cuisine.
Algernon Rowan-Webb (Paul Copley) – Algernon attended the Academy as a pupil when it was a wizard college, along with Grand Wizard Egbert Hellibore. He was turned into a frog while still a teenager by a fellow pupil named Mortimer Mistletoe. Not having the ability to change himself back, he took up residence in the school pond and remained a frog for over forty years.

The Worst Witch
“The Worst Witch” series is based on the first four “Worst Witch” books by Jill Murphy. It follows the adventures of Mildred Hubble, (Georgina Sherrington) a witch attending Cackles Academy. She’s called the “Worst Witch” because she’s always caught getting into trouble. The Worst Witch syndicated from http://ift.tt/2rLj3l6
