Welcome to my blog!

I'm Mika from Slovakia currently living in Japan. I already joined the 30s club, I'm married and have a little boy. As you can see English isn't my first language, so there are some mistakes 😅

I'm going to post my little creations in my clumsy English here (list is below👇) and maybe even links to my newest YouTube videos (not really decided about this yet). As you can see I'm big acotar fan, especially Azriel's 👀, but I like also other characters and other series like HP etc., so I hope to write for that, too. If you'd like to get more in touch, you can visit my main blog that is written in Slovak, but you can use translation option on the right to translate it into your language. I post there my own original stories as well as Japan travel and life content.

And… weirdly familiar.” “Pinched she may be, but that girl’s been plucked,” remarks Isabela with a wry twist of her lips. “What do you mean she’s been plucked?” asks Merrill. “Because she’s a Rose?” “Yes, because she’s a Rose,” answers Isabela.

Funny little Introduction

Hello all! I'm new to the whole writing and book community here on Tumblr, so I wanted to go ahead and make my introduction!

My name is Taylor Howell, Tay if you'd like! I'm 23, use she/her pronouns, and I'm a Leo. I like to think of myself as a chaotic bisexual who is a little too into horror movies and occasionally practices witchcraft :). I've been writing since I was in middle school and wrote fanfiction up until 2017. Since then I have been published in the Rio Review in the Spring of 2019, and in the Surrentium (a local magazine in Sorrento, Italy) in the Summer of 2022.

My favorite authors include but are not limited to, V.E. Schwab, Aiden Thomas, Samantha Shannon, and Erin Morgenstern.

My favorite artists include but are not limited to, Halsey, Hozier, Lil Nas X, Dua Lipa, and Florence and The Machine.

My favorite media includes Kiki's Delivery Service, Clue, X, Hereditary, Fullmetal Alchemist, The Twilight Zone, Final Fantasy VII, and Legend of Zelda.

What I like to do when I'm not reading or writing is cook/bake, Color Guard, watch silly horror movies, try to find my crafty sapphic hobby, and find a nostalgic game to hyperfixate on (we've graduated from Wizard101 to Diner Dash).

The last book I finished was A Day of Fallen Night by Samantha Shannon.

I'm currently reading Inferno by Dante Alighieri, Ring Shout by P. Djèlí Clark, Bloodmarked by Tracy Deonn, and Circe by Madeline Miller.

My favorite genres to read are fantasy and horror. I won't turn down a good contemporary though!

My WIP is currently the first in a fantasy horror trilogy that is a retelling of The Odyssey by Homer with Fullmetal Alchemist influences. But if you wanna know more, you'll just have to stick around! ;)

With that, I'm excited to be here and I can't wait to be a menace on main.

18. Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process? How do you come up with titles?

after. always after, it's actually my last step in writing.. i hate titling fics ngl, so i just go for quotes, lines from songs or try to think what short thing would fit the plot

i think part 2 of my hanahaki fic.

55. Of the characters you write for, which is your favorite? Has that choice been swayed at all by your followers/readers’ reactions to certain ones?

hmmm probably Charles. it's very tight with Carlos who was my fav last year actually, but rn i usually go for Charles' pov and feel better writing. I also enjoyed writing marc marquez ngl. and for the side characters (for now) i love writing lando. and no, it hasn't changed because of reactions :))

Hello all you wonderful humans! Thank you to everyone who decided to follow me so far. I thought I would go ahead and put a little Get to Know Me post up so I wouldn't be completely anonymous.

My name is Hannah! Pronouns are she/her. I'm an '02 liner. My favorite color is any blue-green color! My favorite food is sushi and my favorite drink is coffee. I've been a KPOP stan since 2019 and my ult groups are: ATEEZ, TXT, Stray Kids, Enhypen, and BTS. My ult bias is Hongjoong! Do you plan each chapter ahead or write as you go?

So, I mostly just start writing an idea that I have, and it keeps evolving as I go. I dont write multi-chapter pieces anymore, so there isnt much planning. If I sit on idea for some time, I go through it in my head a couple of times, but thats it.

Where do you find inspiration for new ideas?

I find inspiration anywhere possible. Maybe a scene in a TV show, movie or video in general. Sometimes just a picture is enough to spark an idea, or even tags from my beloved mutuals. It just happens at times ha.

what’s a common writing tip that you almost always follow?

I try not to rush things. I dont know if thats a common tip, but I always take my time. I hate that feeling of, you have to post this today, or whatever. Write in your own pace, and enjoy it!

What do you do when writing becomes difficult? (maybe a lack of inspiration or writers block)

Do something else. Its no use to stare at the page, hoping letters will find their way on to it. Relax, do something you enjoy, and ease your mind. It might be difficult, but for me, it works.

Are there certain types of writing you won’t do? (style, pov, genre, tropes, etc)

Oh, there are multiple. I wont include the real family of the people I write about. Thats just not it for me. Or once, someone requested a piece, in which the reader would be involved in a crash after having an argument with Madders. I hate crashes, and I would never ever write anything like that. Just to name a few.

Worst writing advice anyone ever gave you?

I dont think i ever got a bad advice actually.

Currently Reading: I've been the literal worst about reading lately. I've started 3 books in the last couple of months, the most recent was The Orchid and The Lion by Gabriel Hargrave. Also Quincy Harker: Year Two by John G. Hartness and Paradisa by Michelle Iannantuono.

Last Movie: Spider-Man - Into the Spiderverse. I really like Miles as Spider-Man and Slacker Spidey Peter B. Parker. The animation for both movies is gorgeous, too. I wish Marvel would embrace animation just a little (These movies are both Sony productions.)

Currently Working On: I'm finishing my fantasy novel; originally called Only Man Standing, now titled Sword of the Voivode. It's my first longform project, and I'm both excited and terrified that I produced something so long and did so much work to make it happen. The writing has taken about 8 months and the loose ideas have been bouncing around for about two years.

My next three projects are already loosely planned: A Historical Urban Fantasy/vampire romance, A queer Eldrich Beauty and the Beast quasi- retelling, and a t4t superhero book.

4.) I love writing sad and tough situations and exploring how the characters handle it. I’ve been told I do this really well, at least in regards to making people feel things, which means I do it even more. I try to be kind/gentle in my exploration while also letting the characters feel how they’re feeling.

5.) Gruff/aloof on the outside, cinnamon roll toward their parter.
