A/N: i haven’t written anything since last month and i’ve missed writing so here it is... dad!Mason for me and y'all my loves 🥰🫶🏻 apologies if this isn’t so good lol tbh i wrote this for my own comfort cuz it's been an extremely rough few weeks so i kinda needed this and i’m a huge sucker for my faves as attentive partner and dad fics! not to mention this is officially the longest fic I've written + posted here! hope you guys enjoy and i’d love to hear your thoughts thru ask/reply/reblog 💗 apologies for any grammatical errors! feedbacks are highly appreciated 🤍

You just woke up from a short nap after your C-section. Your baby was not supposed to be born for another month, but when your doctor saw the umbilical cord was wrapped around their neck during ultrasound, they told you and Mason that an emergency C-section had to be done the next day before your baby moved to the birth position. You recalled the day it happened.

You were really scared and nervous even though you have given birth before – but your first pregnancy and labor went smoothly so you didn’t exactly anticipate this. Plus, you had never gone through any major surgery your whole life ­– you just were not ready at all. You wanted another vaginal delivery but since the circumstances changed, you didn’t have a choice and all you cared about was your little one coming into the world safe and sound.

Mason was scared too, but he tried to conceal it from you. He just knew he had to be by your side all the time, as you were about to go through another life-changing moment but not as you planned. He was worried about the baby but even more about you ­– he felt so helpless because he basically couldn’t do anything but be there for you. If he could, he would make himself be the one who bears the pain instead of you.

On the way home after the checkup, you sat in the passenger seat and just silently stared at the road with your hand resting on top of your belly – subconsciously rubbing it sometimes – while thinking about the sudden news. Mason noticed how quiet you were, and as he drove he grabbed your hand to hold it tight.

“My dear, everything will be okay,” he said softly, “little peanut will be just fine. So will you.”

You sighed. “Maybe you’re right, but Mase...” Your voice was shaky, “I’m terrified. I really am...”

He took his eyes off the road for a second to glance at you, then kissed your hand and rubbed it with his thumbs repeatedly.

“I know, Y/N. But you’re the strongest person I’ve ever known and you’re going to get through this like the badass you are.” He assured you.

“And I will be with you the entire time and take care of you. I promise.” He added.

You smiled a little, still nervous but way less than before. You knew he was also worried yet he still gave you the comfort you needed. That is one of the things about Mason that made you fall in love with him in the first place.

“Also, picture how excited Gem will be when she finds out she’s going to meet her baby sibling soon!”

Before Mason even finished his sentence, the possible scenario was already playing in your head. You looked back to the time you and Mason broke the news to Gemma, your 4 year-old daughter – she screamed then cried out of happiness. She has been so excited to have a little sister or brother since and kept asking when will the baby be born. You could clearly imagine how she would react this time.

“Oh God,” you put your hand on your forehead and jokingly groaned, “she’s going to scream her ass off again isn’t she?”

He shook his head playfully and laughed. “Well that’s my daughter alright!”

During the surgery, Mason was sitting next to you the whole time, not wanting to let go of your hand. You were fully conscious since you had regional anesthesia, and to distract yourself from your anxious thoughts you and Mason chatted about the most random things – and it helped calming you down.

You both decided not to find out about your baby’s sex just like when you were pregnant with Gemma. Of course you two were curious, but you wanted to surprise yourselves. A boy or a girl, it doesn't really matter because you will love the baby regardless of the sex.

Suddenly, you both heard the sound of your baby’s cry. The doctor lifted them up so you two could see and excitedly announced, “Congratulations, it’s a girl!”

You and Mason had your mouths wide open and looked at each other immediately once you knew you had another daughter. She came to join your little family sooner than expected, but she was healthy and all your worry was gone in an instant. Mason kissed your forehead and your lips, then whispered to your ears, “Thank you baby, I’m so proud of you.”

The nurse then brought the baby to you so you could see her up close. She put her next to your face, and you could feel tears of happiness streaming down your face – the presence of your newborn girl warmed your heart.

“Hi baby girl,” you tearfully greeted your daughter, “welcome to the world! Mommy loves you so much.”

Mason watched that moment and he was left speechless. He couldn’t stop smiling and crying as he couldn’t find the words to describe the overwhelming joy and immense love he felt at the moment. He was still processing the fact that he had another girl to love for the rest of his life. As he wiped his tears, he quietly whimpered in awe, “she’s so precious… My little peanut.”

As you woke up from your nap post surgery, you could feel the anesthesia started to wear off. You moaned and pressed your lips together over the pain you felt on the incision area. You couldn’t really get up because when you tried to move even a little bit, it would hurt so bad. You looked around the hospital room you were in and you saw Mason sitting on the sofa near the window while holding your newborn daughter.

He didn’t take his eyes off of her even for a second, you could tell he was so in love. This reminded you of the day when Gemma was just born – once he held her in his arms, his eyes were locked on her.

You couldn’t stop staring at him as you found this moment so heartwarming and adorable. He then took a quick look at you and when he saw you were awake, a wide smile appeared on his face.

“Oh look, Mommy’s awake,” he said as he got off the sofa to come over to you, “how are you feeling sweetheart?”

“Uh… pain...” You muttered. “But don’t worry, I’m okay.”

“Oh no… I’m sorry, Y/N.” He knitted his eyebrows, the tone of his voice showed how worried he really was. “Tell me what I can do to help ease it. I’ll do anything to make you feel better.”

You smiled as his hand was stroking your arm.

“Thank you love,” you said to Mason, “but let’s just wait for the nurse. With you two here with me right now I can handle this pain.”

“By the way… Can you stop hogging my baby and hand her over to her mom?” You jokingly asked him.

“Oops, sorry!” He laughed while gently putting her on your side.

Few hours later, the nurse suggested you get out of bed and try walking around for a bit. Even though you were still experiencing discomfort, you gladly took her suggestion as you didn’t like laying in the bed for too long. Mason, who wasn’t fond of the idea, expressed his concern to the nurse.

“Ma’am, are you sure it’s okay? The wound on my wife’s stomach is still fresh… Isn’t it too soon?”

“Sir, I get your concern and I can guarantee you it is necessary as it is a part of the recovery. Moving around after the surgery helps the recovery process. Don’t need to worry, we’ll check in on you every so often. If you need anything, you can call us by pushing the button next to the bed.” The nurse explained to both of you in a calm manner.

Mason sighed in relief and nodded.

“Thank you,” you said to the nurse, “this is my first time going through a C-section and my husband and I have been very anxious about it. Not to mention this was unplanned so we didn’t exactly come prepared.”

“Understandable. It is normal to feel nervous, Ma’am. We are happy to help.” The nurse acknowledged your worries.

As soon as the nurse left the room, you tried to get out of bed and grimaced while one of your hands was on your wound area. Mason was getting you a glass of water when he saw you – fright was written all over his face immediately.

“Baby!” He spontaneously yelled as he rushed over to your side and helped you. out.

“Ssshh, Mase, I’m alright,” you put your arm around his neck and tried to soothe him, “just want to get up, that's all.”

“Don’t be so stubborn!” He was shaking a little – he felt a genuine fear. “My God, Y/N, you almost gave me a heart attack.”

“Oh please, don’t be a drama queen,” you couldn’t help but make fun of his reaction. “I said I’m alright, hahaha!”

He playfully rolled his eyes in response. You laughed at him and suddenly felt stabbing pain on your wound.

“Ouch!” You shouted. “Man, I can't even laugh without feeling pain!”

“Well, I’m glad you were amused but I guess no more comedy for a while for you, Mrs. Mount.” he said as he stroked your back.

Mason gently supported your body and carefully assisted you on taking your first steps post surgery. You squeezed your eyes, ground your teeth and winced as you were still experiencing the sharp pain – especially when you moved. Mason’s heart ached seeing you struggling like this, he felt guilty even but he knew nothing else he could do but support you throughout the recovery.

“Don’t rush it, sweetheart. It hasn’t been 12 hours after the surgery,” he emphasized. “Just take one little step at the time when you’re ready, okay?”

“Baby, Gem is coming here with my parents!” He excitedly shouted from across the room.

Your eyes widened and a squeal left your mouth when you heard that Gemma was coming. As you were in the hospital, Mason’s parents were taking care of her. You have been looking forward to the moment when your girls finally met. She had been impatiently waiting to be able to hold her baby sibling – she even practiced with her doll all the time. 

At this point you could stand up, walk, and sit down. The incision still hurt and discomfort came and went all the time but the painkiller was working well and the bliss of having a newborn was able to distract your mind from the pain. Mason had been so attentive to you and always ready to help you. He thought you needed a day to rest, therefore with your permission he respectfully asked everyone – except your parents and siblings – not to pay a visit at the hospital and wait until you all settled at your home instead. 

“Where is Gem now? Is she close? Are they here already?” You eagerly asked.

“I don’t know,” he answered, “I’ll call my mum.”

And before he even pressed call, Debbie texted him to let him know they just arrived at the hospital. He was beaming when he saw the text, and passed the news to you.

“They’re here! I’ll go get them,” he said as he kissed your forehead and got out to pick them up.

Trying not to hurt yourself, you didn’t act too excited on the outside but you sure were within. Sitting down on your bed, you pulled the baby crib closer and carefully picked her up.

“Hey little angel,” you whispered softly into her tiny ear, “you’re about to meet your big sister. She’s been waiting for you… You’re going to love her as much as she loves you.”

She made a slight smile and you noticed that. You chuckled, you thought it was like she was also excited to meet Gemma. You gave little kisses all over her cute face, and as you did that you could feel how you were completely filled with great love and glee – one more girl has stolen your heart. 

Suddenly, you heard the door was opened, followed by a little giggle you love so much. Your heart was beating really fast – it was going to be one of the biggest moments in your life – you didn’t know if you could handle your emotions when it happened.

You saw Gemma walking in with one hand holding her dad’s and the other covering her mouth. She looked so eager to finally see her baby sibling – she didn’t know it was a girl beforehand – and you wanted to see how she reacted when she found out she had a sister. Behind them were Debbie and Tony, and Debbie had already started recording with Mason’s phone. Gemma then saw you and excitedly yelled, “Mommy!”

You giggled and waved at her in response. 

“Do you want to sit next to Mommy and baby peanut, Gem?” Mason gently asked her.

“Yes Daddy! I want to see my baby peanut now!” She responded impatiently.

Mason picked her up and sat her down next to you. When she saw her sister up close, she squealed and said “Wow, baby peanut is so small and cute!”

You introduced your firstborn to your newborn.

“Gemma, meet Iris…”

She gasped and looked at both you and Mason in disbelief.

“You have a sister, Gem!” Mason cheered.

Gemma was so happy to have a sister and she started to cry. You might have pictured this beautiful moment in your head before but what really happened was a lot better than you had imagined. It was quite overwhelming to see how emotional she was and you eventually cried as well. Mason was really touched, almost shed a tear when he saw how you and Gemma were crying. He immediately grabbed some tissues from his pocket – he was aware this was going to happen – to wipe the tears off his girls’ faces.

“Mommy… Can I hold Iris?” Gemma nervously asked, her big brown eyes were still watery but you could see the sparkles of joy in them.

“Of course, sweetie.”

You carefully handed Iris onto Gemma’s lap, teaching her how to support Iris’ little body. She was so gentle and cautious, uneasy at first as if she was afraid to hurt Iris. Mason tried to ease her since he got how nervous Gemma was – he kissed the top of her head over and over again while assuring her that she was doing fine holding her sister – and it worked out even though it took a while.

Finally feeling comfortable, Gemma gently let go of one of her hands and started caressing Iris’ cheeks. Her eyes were locked in just like his dad earlier, and you just knew she was so deeply in love with her little sister. 

“She’s so beautiful, isn’t she, Gem?” Mason was beaming in awe and Gemma nodded in agreement.

Both Gemma and Mason showered Iris with kisses. The immense amount of love Iris was getting made your heart soar. You looked at your husband and your girls and thought to yourself: how did I get so lucky?

Mason then gave you a quick but passionate kiss on your lips. He looked deeply into your eyes and expressed his gratitude and appreciation for you.

“Y/N, the way you had to bear the pain to bring me two amazing kids to our life is unbelievable. You are the most incredible woman and I can never thank you enough for everything you’ve done for me, for us… I’m so lucky to have you as my wife and the mother of our girls. I will always try to make you happy, feel loved and give you everything you need and deserve because you have given me the life I’ve always dreamed of…”

You had no words and were about to cry again. You pulled him closer and pressed your lips against his – it was a moment full of tenderness and sweet affection. As your lips parted, you two whispered “I love you” to one another.

Debbie – who was still recording – and Tony were also emotional although they were trying to keep themselves together because they thought they didn’t want to ruin the beautiful moment between your little family. You then asked the grandparents to come see the newest addition to the Mount family.

“Iris Mount… Such a beautiful name, Y/N!” Tony complimented.

“That’s perfect for her! Thank you, Y/N, for giving us wonderful grandkids!” Debbie chimed in and gave you a hug.

“Uh, Mum… I contributed too, you know. Why don’t I get a thank-you? ” Mason jokingly protested.

“Yes but you weren’t the one who carried them for months and gave birth, were you?” Debbie lightheartedly replied.

You chuckled at their banter – you held yourself back from laughing as usual because it would hurt you.

With his mother clearly winning the argument, Mason humorously backed out, pouted then stated his closing statement.

“That’s true. But Y/N and I do make the most beautiful babies.”

Debbie and Tony couldn’t help but laugh at his comeback.

Yes, he might not be the one who was pregnant and given birth, but he has always been an amazing and present father to Gemma. No matter how tight his schedule could be, he would always make time for her daughter. He might have missed a few milestones that happened unexpectedly but other than those he never wanted to miss out so much on his daughter’s life. When he was out of town for away games, he always asked for daily updates on Gemma and called you on Facetime in every chance he got.

Mason is an ultimate girl dad and takes great pride in it. He would dress up as princess wearing a tiara and Gemma’s little dress that barely fits him and have a tea party with her, buy a makeup set she asked for, and sometimes he would show up at training wearing a headband with the biggest bow on his head because Gemma put it on him before he left. He always said he loves being a girl dad and would do it all over again – now he really gets to do it all over again…

character design plays a big role. a lot of what I've learned is from reflecting on why I like certain characters and watching videos from Brookes Eggleston - Character Design Forge (i will ALWAYS recommend him hehehe)

I usually go about designing characters that are fairly easy for me to draw over and over. if i get stressed out drawing this oc simply standing, i wont enjoy drawing them in other stuff. I also like to give myself little "treats" while drawing. for example: for Cherie, i really like drawing her chubby face, heart blush, and big cute eyes. for Selena, ive been having so much fun drawing her hair and playing with gravity with it (like when the wind blows her front hair sways hehe).

I also make sure their personalities are enjoyable to read as much as possible. for amazo, he's a goofy hero who tries his absolute best to be the hero the city needs him to be and the partner Steven needs him to be but there's always an internal struggle between balancing the two and he's so critical of himself when he can't do it all. this tells the reader that he's got a very strict moral compass and he's very selfless but knows how to liven the mood and is very creative in how he entertains others and himself. I made Selena for the "Amazo-era" because his pursuit of control and her pursuit of chaos and goofs compliment each other perfectly storytelling-wise.

also I try to limit what i describe so bluntly bc its so much more fun to learn about a character through storytelling like comics, fics, etc. because the reader gets the chance to understand this character like unfolding a mystery and it's very enjoyable. im sure if she-ra released a bunch of infodumping character sheets before we saw the show, we probably wouldn't have cared bc we wouldn't have gotten to understand her complex character through the relationships and struggles she forms and faces in the show. humans like putting together pieces! we are a species that likes solving puzzles a LOT. i have an amazing friend that i infodump to and i love them so much <3 that way the readers can discover the characters themselves but u can still give into the infodumping urge LOL

funny enough drawing your oc in a bunch of different situations will make u a better artist sometimes even unknowingly xD if u look at my art before and after i started drawing amazo like everyday, you'd see MAJOR improvement xD i had no idea that was happening bc i was just goofin' and drawing whatever but it really helped!

hi monty, went thru some of ur works and i love your writing, thank you for sharing your work! especially that one lev fic from ur old account(i think?) made me so sad coz hes my little baby lol😭 but enough about me talking about lev, i was actually gonna ask for a hurt/comfort with satan! i think hes very pretty and smart enough to hold a conversation and respectful enough to deserve my love(unfortunately unlike my irl crushes lol), but although he is not real, i sometimes feels like he doesn’t love himself as much as i do. he’s always worried about being his own person apart from lucifer, knowing as much as he can, getting good marks, presenting himself the best etc. i want to play with his soft fluffy hair and tell him to relax and that he is a world in and of himself. sorry if this is oddly specific lol feel free to ignore this! thank you in advance, have an amazing day and i love you!

You Are Satan Actor: Satan MPAA Rating: Everyone, hurt and comfort Notes: GN!Reader

It was nearing the time for finals, so you went to find Mammon to make sure he wasn't using something to cheat when he was in class.

"No, no, that isn't right..."

Your ears perked up at hearing the frustrated voice, and peeked into a room, noticing all of the messy books.

"Is Satan frustrated?"

You walked into the room and looked around for him, noticing him at a desk, with multiple textbooks piled up around him. He was muttering to himself, pouring over the books, and many papers, most likely trying to ingrain as much as the information as he can.

"No, this is the right answer... damn it all!" He groaned, slamming his fist on the desk.

"Satan...?"

He quickly looked up and smiledd upon seeing you.

"Ah, hello." He turned back to his textbook. "Is there something you need?"

"Just checking on everyone. You seem to be the only one who's studying."

"Yes, well... Lucifer isn't studying?"

"Not that I saw. He just seemed to be getting some paperwork done."

Satan stared at the desk. "...He doesn’t even have to try..."

You cocked your head. "Huh?"

Satan groaned loudly. "I guess all I'll be is a damn copy of him..."

You sat next to him. "What do you mean?"

He sighed shakily. "Whenever finals rolls around... all of my teachers always mention Lucifer. Saying how close I was to him... and he's not even studying right... right now... what the hell does that say about me?"

You rubbed his back. "Is that why you're getting frustrated right now?"

He pushed your arm off. "Maybe." He picked up his pen. "Is there any real reason you're here?"

You watched him angrily scribble down more notes. You didn't answer his question and he ignored your worried looks, avoiding your gaze.

"Well?"

"I... heard you getting frustrated, and wanted to check on you."

He stopped his scribbling and looked up at you. "Did you now? Hm."

You glared at his work. You then decided to grab his paper and tossed it away.

"Hey-!"

"You are officially not allowed to do anymore work."

"Give me my-"

"Nope!" You pulled him off of his chair and over to his window seat.

Satan sputtered as he was pulled into your lap, his head resting in your lap.

"This is absurd-"

"No it's not." You ran your fingers through his hair. "It really isn't. You need rest."

He glared, but his face slowly began to soften. You caressed his face, and patted his hair.

He lied there before slowly sinking into your hold.

"You're not just an extension of Lucifer. You're much different than him."

"Then why do so many people compare us?"

You hesitated. "...Perhaps they're close-minded. They're not willing to let you be your own person."

He slowly turned his face and pressed his face against your stomach. He wrapped his arms around your torso and sniffled quietly.

"Satan?"

"I hate it... I hate being compared to him..."

You ran your hands through his hair. "I know... but you are Satan and you are different from Lucifer." You looks around his room. "You're an amazing reader and you take incredible notes. You're ready to defend your family when outsiders insult them."

You heard the sniffles get impossibly quieter, and he pressed his cheek against your stomach.

"I love you, Satan."

He sniffled once more. "I love you, too."

Summary: Sam muses, and he feels for his brother, having to be without Cass…

      Sam wakes up one night, in the middle of the night. He's in the hotel room, and it's fairly quiet. There's nothing outside except the sounds of the town.

      So he lies there, wondering why the hell he woke up in the first place.

      He closes his eyes, thinking about the job that brought them out here. Everything goes back to the leviathans these days… Even Bobby's getting sick of them… Either way, Sam would be surprised if his phone didn't buzz with another text about more leviathan-related news. That's all they ever hear about these days.

      The younger Winchester remains on his back and looks to his left, at the other bed, where Dean's been tossing and turning all night. Oh. That makes sense. His rustling probably woke Sam up. After all, Sam's rather a light sleeper these days, even after Cass took Lucifer out of his mind…

      "Cass."

      Sam blinks…and frowns. So that's what it was.

      Dean turns over, away from Sam, and grumbles something else in his sleep. But he says "Cass" again, and it sounds so pitiful.

      It's hard, hearing that. Losing Cass and then regaining him only to lose him right after…

      Sam wonders how many more times he'll hear Dean call for the angel in his sleep. He's not surprised that it's happening at all. Sam has come to see Cass like a brother. Dean…well, it's complicated.

      And, when his older brother murmurs the name once more, Sam muses on the first time Dean had ever said it.

      …huh. That's right. They barely knew Cass then, Sam even less so than Dean. And they still hadn't made up their minds about the angel—makes sense as there was so much going on at the time. And Dean had learned Sam's little [Ruby] secret, and yelled at him for it, and told him that it was God's plan for Sam to stop and that "Cass" had even arrived because of this—

      Sam grins halfheartedly to himself. Figures. Dean yells at Sam and gives the angel a nickname in the same breath. Sam knew he should've seen it sooner, Dean and Cass.

      Instead, he saw it a while after that, and now things have come to this. Him and Dean in a hotel like old times, working a case. In truth, Dean's been muttering the angel's name in his sleep for years, so that's like old times, too.

      Sam hopes for one thing that night as he drifts back asleep: He wishes that all the "old times" would return…his brother's happiness, angel and all.

And this is what you get from binge-watching SPN and watching s4e3 "Metamorphosis." I died when I noticed when Dean first said "Cass"—while yelling at Sam about Ruby. XD Gods, you could already see the ship coming from half a world away. ;P So some inspiration from s3&4, Jess, but worked into s7. Hope that works, *lol*.

Sunset Drives

Summary: Having broken off your engagement for an arranged marriage with Gojo, your relationship is in shreds. As you and Gojo try to pick up the pieces, what does healing look like for the two of you?

“Let’s go for a walk down the beach.” Gojo Satoru insists out of the blue.

After a long day of work regarding the security updates for Jujutsu Tech, you agree. Gojo has always been spontaneous. He’s not one to make extensive plans.

The sky is quickly turning orange and purple as the car parks near the sand. You welcome the sea breeze when the door opens and the golden light coats both of you.

“We haven’t had a walk like this in a long time, just the two of us. At least one outside of the school.” you comment.

“Hardly a surprise. We were barely on speaking terms,” he retorts.

“And now we’re fixing things.” you smile with a skip of hope in your tone.

Gojo pauses before replying in a murmur, “We are.”

Ten years after your teenage break-up of your arranged marriage engagement, you’re both finally starting to find peace. Earlier this year you were both screaming and crying and hurting as you aired out your bottled up feelings and hurt. Things are finally settling down at last.

“This is nice,” he adds as if reading your thoughts.

You’re both in thick windbreaker jackets. Despite your weatherproof clothes, Gojo’s polo shirt collar peaks through his jacket. He’s dressed up today: leather shoes, slacks and his sunglasses instead of his eye covers. He looks good, handsome even.

You both take a moment to look into the ocean. He puts an arm around your shoulder and draws you in. His grip is gentle and firm.

“When I said I wanted to go to the beach, I meant during summer, you know?” you turn to him.

“We can come back during the summer. It’s near enough to drive.” he assures.

“Really?” you quirk a brow.

“Really.” he nods with a grin.

You both continue walking, kicking up a bit of sand here and there.

“I thought I would hate you the rest of my life because I wasn’t sure I could separate my feelings for you from my familial duties.” he exhales.

It’s your turn to pause.

“It’s ok, Gojo, you can say it.”  you murmur, “We’re really happy right now. Whatever this is.”

He lets out a low chuckle

“I like having you in my life again,” he says.

. Your eyes are peaceful and a small smile forms at the edge of your lips.

He turns to you, about to lean in for a kiss when you hear voices coming from the back.

“Gojo-sensei, is that you?” wonders Itadori out loud.

Gojo winces and quickly plants a peck on the tip of your ear before turning to his students. A group of first and second year students are walking together led by one of the Zenin girls. She must be Maki.

“Yes.” he says, “Who else?”

“And you ex…wife?” Itadori tries to recall.

“Fiancée .” you correct, amused, “We never made it to the altar.”

You steal a glance at Gojo’s unreadable expression.

“You’re too beautiful for sensei. Is that why you broke up?” asks a spunky girl with short brown hair. This must be Kugisaki Nobara.

“Nobara, you shouldn’t say that in front of Gojo-sensei.” nudged Itadori.

You and Gojo look at each other as if exchanging an inside joke.

“Something like that.” you grin.

“I would argue that was really the least of our problems.” Gojo snorts crossing his arms.

“Excuse the two of them.” Fushiguro bows.

Maki reigns the rest of the group in order to return your privacy with their teacher. Gojo keeps his hands off you the rest of the walk. You feel slightly disappointed.

When you return to the car, you empathize with his reactions to his students. Sometimes they forget he has a life outside of them.

“Thanks for today.” you nod, strapping in your seatbelt

“You can save that for later. It’s not time for goodbyes just yet.” he waves lightly, “If you like the beach so much, you should come visit me more often. I’ll drive you down here.”

“I don’t want to take up more of your time.” you demure, “Besides you’re not one to be good at promises.”

“I will always make time for you.” he glances at you, eyes fully certain, “and I’ve been better at promises now that I’m older. You’ll see. You’re not the only one that’s changed.”

Before he gets the engine going, he leans into you for a kiss. You place a hand at his chest to steady yourself. He presses a little harder. His hand finds itself on the side of your cheek. Your hands gently brush away the sides of his hair. The kiss long and tender, neither of you in a hurry to be apart.

When you finally pull away, you ask.

“Is this the part where we drive off into the sunset?”

“Yes.” he says, slowly backing the car out of its slot.

“Maybe you had a different person in your mind but I guess, you get me today.” you joke.

“You don't know that.” he replies without skipping a beat.

Gojo Satoru is the man who has everything. Whether you’ll be by each other's side temporarily or forever, he doesn’t know. With you by his side, there is nothing else he could ask for.

“I am happy.” he nods to you. You’re surprised he brings it up again.

“Whatever this is,” he adds.

Would you be willing to talk about your writing process? How many drafts you go through, how early on you run something by a beta, do you outline or not, etc.? I'm really curious to get a feel for how folks write!

Sure!! Not sure how coherent this will be but let's see lol. Also you'll notice that certain pieces vary a lot. Writing process under the cut! 

Getting an idea: Most of the time, I get my fic ideas from either songs or random conversations with friends, and they're typically a sort of precipitating event or premise that leads to a character exploration. (Examples: What if Geralt was a ghost haunting Jaskier's house? What if Dan actually stayed for that drink Lucifer offered him?) But sometimes I look for a plot on purpose (e.g., I had been DYING to write a time loop for literal years before I finally worked out how I wanted it to look by brainstorming ways to subvert the conventions w/in the trope). 

It's hard to like, delineate this tho because in reality it's sort of messy and mushed bc of how my brain works. Like, the truer to life approximation of deciding to write and yet so far from death was more like: receiving comfort as the reminder you are lacking it -> ooh ghost love story as ultimate yearning -> who would be more fun to write as a ghost? -> Jaskier as ghost = inversion of dynamic / Geralt as ghost = extension of dynamic -> Geralt as ghost sounds fun -> why would Jaskier be stuck in a house with a ghost? -> he's retiring from a life on the road -> what Jaskier is lacking is permanence/stability -> ghost story as paradox of permanence and impermanence -> okay but on the plot level what would happen if Geralt was haunting Jaskier's house?

Outlining: I usually start writing without formalizing an outline, just to get a feel for the story itself, but I tend to have an idea for the major beats/the thesis statement living amorphously in my brain. Then partway thru the fic I type out an actual outline tracking major occurrences and functions of scenes; occasionally I'll write a whole fic without an outline tho, especially if it's shorter (<16k).

Drafting/Editing: I do somewhere between 1.5 and 2 drafts, depending on how you define a distinct draft ig? I've never completely rewritten a whole story like some schools of writing suggest, but I will definitely go back and make edits. I usually self-edit as I go and then do a full re-read/edit at the end of draft completion. For the as-you-go stuff, I typically re-read everything I wrote the day before which helps both 1) get me into the mood for writing again and 2) make any small tweaks etc + catch typos. When I do the big edit at the end, I try to change something about how I physically read the draft (e.g. read on computer instead of phone, change the font) which helps shake up my brain I guess?

Betaing: I am deeply spoiled by my friends and endlessly grateful for them, lol. At minimum, I like having someone I can excitedly flail about my ideas with while I'm writing (usually multiple someones) and talk through stuff that might be stumping me (e.g. idk if it would be funnier if X or Y happened, hey do you think vampires can feel the cold), and then someone--often the same person but not always--do a full read-through after the fic is done. A lot of times, especially for longer stuff or when I'm feeling down on myself, I'll ask someone to beta and/or cheerread along with me while I write. And I bug them with lots of questions like "Is this landing for you? Do I need to slow down the dialogue here? Am I funny even a little bit?" and they offer feedback and/or encouragement. But also sometimes I get impatient and/or cannot tolerate concrit so I just fling it into the void without beta lol

Other stuff: it's also worth noting that I daydream about my projects constantly? Showering/laying in bed before or after sleep/driving places is all prime fic plotting time. If I'm listening to music, whatever song I'm listening to will probably become related to a fic. This isn't like, a conscious ~dedication~ thing: it's pure, unadulterated neurodivergent hyperfixation. Also, I rarely read other people's fic if I'm writing any of my own, bc for me the writing and reading circuits are quite different, but I re-read/re-watch the source material a lot.

I do also re-read my own fic a decent amount, partly because I genuinely enjoy my own writing and partly because I like noticing my own trends/recurring themes/etc which is easier to do if you take in your work later, at more of a distance. Reading people’s comments about what they enjoyed is also helpful, because it gives me a sense of what things land and what things don’t (or don’t get commented on as being a stand-out, at least). I don’t enjoy getting concrit outside of beta I’ve specifically asked for, but I very much enjoy hearing what people did like so I can do more of it.

Titling/Summaries: Usually I come up with a title partway through writing based on a song I've found to take inspiration from. I get really excited when I find a title, lol. I hate summaries very much except for when I love them? I semi-recently converted to the school of using a snappy quote from the fic to make the summary, which makes my job easier lol. I usually like picking quotes that are 1) relatively brief, 2) encapsulate the tone of the fic, and 3) not huge spoilers. Sometimes I'll write a line and go, "yup, that's gonna be the summary," which is fun.

alright, so you and Tom would find time that would work for him to fly down to you to see you for 3 or 4 days & at first you’re both lowkey like is this a lot? Is this moving too fast? Bc you’ve only seen eachother in person for 45 minutes in an AIRPORT but you guys talk/facetime everyday so it’s not like you don’t know eachother. you’re thinking how it would be nice to actually hug him & talk to him in person and toms already set that he’s gonna do more than shake your hand this time he’s gonna make those 4 days count. So he’d fly in super early so he could run into as little ppl as possible & bc more time with you 👀 and you’d pick him up and bring him a coffee and a breakfast bagel or somethin & you’d be NERVOUS bc we’re actually here to see eachother and hangout, in person. For the first time ever. and you’d second guess making a big fuss over it bc it’s just you, you’re not that special but when Tom sees you he’d have the biggest smile and maybe drop his things so quick to grab you in a hug that you’d laugh and be blushing and he’d definitely be like well fancy meeting you here! and the hug would probably be longer than necessary but you’re both so happy to actually hug eachother and you’re both nervous to let go and make eye contact and wow he smells good wow STOP BEING WEIRD. he’s got a nice grip on me, like he don’t wanna let go STOP BEING WEIRD. and he’d do the whole European kiss on each cheek thing and you’d be like damn hope he does that every time he sees me I could get use to this. Lol. And he’d probably snapchat a video to his brothers and friends of him in your car and he’d be like 4 days with my favorite person. and you’d be like damn maybe I am special he just put me on his private social media so you’d smile and interact in the snaps he sends his friends when he turns the camera to you. and he’d book a hotel nearby you even tho you said he could stay at your house & he’d tell you he booked the nice hotel to try to lure you to stay with him, and that if you let him cuddle you he’ll let you have unlimited room service. 😘😌 and the fans would be goin crazy. Bc tom would post that he was flying out and that he was in your town and they’d be like IS HE GOING TO SEE HER?! And they’d be looking thru your story with a fine tooth comb to find if you’re with Tom but you only post a selfie or you getting breakfast in the morning they’d be waiting for Tom and airport girl CONTENT. and tbh next chapter Tom would wanna give the ppl what they want 😏😏

Shall We and only because I truly wanted way more plot in this and it turned out to be essentially just straight smut with a tiny bit of plot. But it is what it is 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ok I had 70 fics to choose from not breaking down chapters so I’m sure I’m missing something, BUT I do love - omg typing this out I realized it’s from a fic in 2019 so I can’t use iiiiiit 😩 ok so here’s a couple excerpts. I loved typing out this stream of conscious partner fics (They Always Do & Could She?):

They Always Do:

Yet this time, this time she didn’t have the chance to rebuild. Like a Trojan horse, he waltzed right up to her and slowly dismantled her defense. Joke by joke, smirk by smirk—Nick took each brick down with care. The worst part? It was so subtle, so thoughtfully done, she didn’t even notice it was happening. Didn’t see her chest being pried open, beating heart on display for him to see, and take. Never realized her greatest defenses were missing until it was too late.

That love- precious, fragile, delicate love- had managed to grow again. In her desolate, cold heart, Nick managed to bring to life an emotion she had long given up on. An emotion she was too afraid to ever feel again. Because with it came agony.

They leave, and you’re abandoned- picking up the pieces of a shattered heart.

When you love, you lose. Always.

Even if that was love, even if he loved Ellie with his whole heart, his entire being. Was that enough? Was Nick enough? Was he deserving?

A resounding no clanged around his skull like a church bell in a Southern town on Sunday morning. He wanted to silence it, stop the shrill metal sound that started any time he pictured forever. Any time he truly thought he might deserve to love, even after all he’d done. After all the unimaginable things he’d done, the horrors he’d seen, the pain he’d caused. That bell sounded, loud and clear.

How did he deserve love when he couldn’t bear to love himself?

There’s been a couple of other inner monologues that I have absolutely loved (I like to think it’s semi my speciality? But maybe that’s super arrogant of myself?) but that’s a different post for another time.

5. Share or describe a favorite review you received:

I said it recently but I *love* when people pick out specific line(s) from my fic and choose to comment on those. More often than not it’s a line I was so proud of either prose-wise or foreshadowing-wise or whatever and I get literally giddy with excitement that someone not only noticed it but also loved it enough to comment on it 🥰but truly any kind of comment is dopamine-inducing 😉

6. A time when writing was really, really hard:

As some people may have noticed (& maybe not because I did still semi-run the other main ellick blog despite it) I was somewhat absent for most of the summer/fall. I struggled for the first time in my life with mental health issues, borderline depression after being in a shit work environment, an essential worker with a company that claimed to “care” about us, a community that I once loved but showed their true colors in the midst of the pandemic & election, add in a rough pregnancy & it was a recipe for disaster. I didn’t want to even move from the couch most days let alone write. 

7. A scene or character you wrote that surprised you:

I had a lot of fun writing short excerpts from different characters’ perspectives (Jimmy, Kasie, McGee & Gibbs) in my Angstober series & honestly wouldn’t mind doing that again!

8. How did you grow as a writer this year:

Honestly not sure, I think I’ve just generally grown as a writer - better descriptions & descriptors, better dialogue, better plots. But that could all be me seeing things 😂

9. How do you hope to grow next year:

I’d love to look into writing more seriously. My husband is convinced I could write an episode script or a novel, so I may look into trying my hand at that (even though I feel I’d be god-awful at it 😅)

10. Who was your greatest positive influence this year as a writer (could be another writer or beta or cheerleader or muse etc etc):

Hmmmm I always appreciate the support I’ve gotten from the ellick fandom despite it being rough this year for us, wonderful people like @erinchristmaselvis, @thekeyboardninja, @hellokaelyn & @wanna-be-bold are always there to either hear me vent or cheer me on ☺️

11. Anything from your real life show up in your writing this year:

Haaaaah yes. Lots of it (but I bet you can’t tell because I only add mini snippets so have fun finding those easter eggs 😏)

12. Any new wisdom you can share with other writers:

Always, always, always write for YOU. Not for anyone else, the kudos, hits, comments, none of it. Write for YOU. And I say this as a reminder to myself as well, it’s so hard to get bogged down in that dopamine-induced craze we search for in recognition but it’s so important to not externally validate yourself rather internally validate yourself on baby steps of growth & accomplishment.

LOL how about all my WIPs? All of those stories I started forever ago that people call me out on not finishing months later when I swear they’ve forgotten about them 😬

omg hi yes, i was lucky enough to score tickets to see superm last year, and i was right up against the main stage railing !!! 🤩 so ten made eye contact and smiled at me, baekhyun also made eye contact and smiled and waved at me (he’s my exo bias and i was like the heart clutching meme when he did that), i yelled “you’re doing great sweetie” when taeyong took a pause during commentary time and he said thank you 🤧, and god taem looked at me for a good 20 seconds smiling at me and i couldn’t handle it and had to blink and look away and he laughed at me 😔 akslhflakshdfla but oh my god, lucas is so goddamn attractive irl it’s insane, and ten is sooo so pretty like i didn’t even pay attention to what they were saying during the commentary time sometimes i was just staring at ten who was in front of me and i was the starry eyed emoji (baek and ten were right in front of me, lucas was next to them), and pictures don’t do taeyong justice at all like that man is absolutely ethereal ✨✨  also!!!!! seeing ten perform his solos, hearing taeyong and mark rap irl and of course BASS GO BOOM BY LUCAS BECAME MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE WHEN ARE THEY RELEASING THAT SONG??? and i was in tears when taemin performed right in front of me like 16 year old me would be shaking in her boots if she knew she would see god taem in the flesh. actually current me was shaking askdjfhalksjdf i cherish all the videos i took so much (i accidentally deleted the entire jopping video except the mark rap part when i was trying to snip it to post to my insta story and cried rip 😭😭)

Sansa. Sansasansasansasansansasansasansasansa. I identify very, very strongly with Sansa--being a "good girl", lady-like, finding a lot of dignity in courtesy and politeness, using courtesy as armor, the compulsive empathy, the romanticism, the way she resists difficult situations in these subtle ways. Also, the darker parts of her: the moments of self-hatred, etc. I funnel a lot of personal pain through her and when I write through her eyes, it just feels so good and natural. In contrast, I feel like I'm only now beginning to learn how to write the other characters, especially Tyrion, Bran, and Brienne--all of them elude me constantly.

💰 What’s one trope you wouldn’t write, except for money?

I mean...I'd write any trope for money lol. But honestly--I've never really gotten the coffee shop AU...maybe because I'm not a big fluff reader/writer. Someone recently commented on 'our praise', requesting that I write a Jon Snow harem fic w/ like a bunch of smut tropes like ABO and sex pollen...which felt...off-brand for me lolol. (and like also, please leave a comment or two on the fic before you request porn from an internet stranger pls + ty) And he didn't offer money so he was out of luck on that lol.

Okay, I have so so so so many. I'll stick to asioaf/GoT. Fair warning, I am not monogamous at all when it comes to reading GoT fic and I have been blessed (cursed) with a high squick tolerance. So, I totally get if some of these pairings are not your cup of tea but there are so many talented creators in so many different ships that I can't not read and marvel at the varied genius, ya know? I love love love coffeeandoranges: The Cat-king; the beggar boy (Tyrion/Jon Snow) and Shame Would Not Hold Down Your Eyes (Sansa/Wynafryd Manderly) is, to me, the definitive queer!Sansa story. liketreesinnovember is the monarch of Tyrion ships, generally. But Look At the Sun (Tyrion/Oberyn; Tyrion/Cersei; Tyrion/Jaime) floored me. The Threesome in the North (Jon/Sansa/Val) by fairfleming & honeywheeler seems, surface level, like just smut but it is so so so much more than that. All our silence could not excuse by dwellingondreams changed how i wrote catelyn forever.

fun fact: i came to asioaf thru a fanfic my friend sent me and that fanfic was: Facets by expected_abberance (Petyr Baelish/Sansa) which DID make me think Baelish was the hero of GoT (bitofashockformewhenifoundout). seriously i get why people don't vibe/feel safe with petyr/sansa but it's a ship with one of the most consistently talented pool of writers in any ship in any fandom. Ones that haunt me are numb and awry by Drwhob which do this magical thing of making you feel gaslit/manipulated right with Sansa and I'm still trying to figure it out how they did it.

So what is the fucking ridiculous ott svu fic idea you've been kicking around in your head for two weeks????

Lmao ok well you asked for it but let me reiterate: it is way ott and I would never write it. But here we go.

Under a cut bc this got long lol

Set somewhere around s17. Dodds, Amanda, Carisi, Liv is a lieutenant, she hasn't shacked up with Tucker yet. They catch a case. Dead woman in a warehouse.

And Warner comes in to see Liv. Says they ran the dna from the blood they found and when they didn't get any hits they expanded the search to include familial matches, the way they sometimes do. And Warner asks to see Liv alone. Says some news is best delivered in private. The team watches through the glass while they talk, curious.

Warner leaves, and Liv comes out with the folder she gave her. Calls the team around and explains that there's blood from two women, the dead woman and an unknown second victim. Explains that when Warner ran the search for familial matches she got a hit.

"this man," she says, and slaps a photo on the murder board, "Simon Marsden."

And Fin is immediately like oh shit. "Hey, lieutenant, you want me to take it from here?" Trying to give Liv an out. The squad is now really curious, bc Liv is clearly upset and Fin clearly knows why, but they don't.

But Liv shakes her head, takes a deep breath, and explains. Explains why Simon's DNA is in the system. Explains that based on the lab's analysis, their missing victim probably has the same father.

"ok so we track down Marsden's parents" one of them suggests.

Liv is now in like physical pain.

"can't. His parents died years ago. And besides, as far as they were aware his father Joe only had one daughter.

"ok so we find her."

Liv takes a deep breath.

"it's me. Simon Marsden and I have the same father."

And she explains the whole thing. What happened to her mother, how she found Simon, that Joe knew about her, kept tabs on her, even told his wife that he had a daughter. And the squad is silent as they listen, as all these layers get pulled back and they catch a glimpse of a side of Liv they've never seen before. Well, none of them but Fin, who knows all this already.

Liv explains given what she knows about Joe, and given the fact he kept up with Liv, this missing woman, whoever she is, was probably born the same way Liv was, but maybe her mother gave her up for adoption. They can't go digging through court records, but they have her blood type, an approximate age, and they can check missing persons for a woman matching that description.

And they get a hit. A high school guidance counselor, about the same age as Liv, with the same dark hair and dark eyes, with the same blood type.

The rest of this is and cut and pasted from messages to @featherpluckn so it's a little disjointed I beg forgiveness.

Liv knows she can't investigate this further, had to leave it to her team. They find her sister but not the guy. She wants to go see her sister (even if she's unconscious) and she needs to let the team work it without interference. She puts out a call asking for someone to step in the run her squad while she takes a few days.

Elliot answers. In this verse he's been back with nypd and been promoted but they still haven't seen each other in years.

Liv goes to the hospital. Her sister is awake. She wasn't assaulted; the guy mostly kept her drugged. But the few times she was conscious he told her he was waiting for Olivia. So she's naturally a little freaked out, both by what happened and the fact that Olivia is here, and a perfectly nice police officer. What the fuck let's say there's some connection to Lewis. Obvi it isn't him bc he dead but let's say it looks like his work and so Liv understands that the guy's plan was to find her and make her watch. She's now terrified for Noah, works with Elliot to get him somewhere safe. Elliot brings him into the station.

She gets to know her sister. Laura's adoption was closed so she has no idea how she came into the world and Liv is reluctant to tell her. This woman is kind and shockingly upbeat and just so normal. Olivia doesn't wanna ruin that.

But word is getting out. There's a parade of faces, cops, lawyers, old friends, coming to check on Liv, coming to check on her sister. Sister is sort of impressed; the story her new sister has told her is horrific but there are all these people, so many people, eager to love her.

Sister overhears fractured conversations with Elliot and goes 👀👀👀

Brian Cassidy comes by, let's say, cause he heard it was connected to Lewis and not only was he dating Liv when it happened he's the one who put her back together after, stayed with her through all that trauma and growth, moved in with her, loved her through it, and he knows what it means to her and he has to see her.

And then!!! It's over!!! And they get to be a happy family!! And sister is inducted into this world full of people who love Olivia, and love her sister by extension, and there's a real sweet moment near the end where Olivia gets to the station late at night and she goes into the cribs and finds Elliot and Noah snuggled up and Noah is fast asleep and Elliot holds out his hand and Liv comes and squeezes into the tiny bunk with them and they all sleep together.

Laura's psychology degree is screaming at her that something is going on with Olivia. At first she doesn't know Liv is her sister. Liv explains that she's a police officer, and that they think Liv is involved bc the man who took Laura, he hurt the dead woman in a very specific way. A way Liv herself got hurt. Cassidy turns up (Laura's husband is out of town on business) and he's cracking jokes and being dumb in that way he has that's meant to put people at ease. He gets them somr macaroni and cheese from the cafeteria. Laura likes him and she sees the intense way they are with each other. But then she hears the phone calls with Elliot. Elliot turns up the next day while Liv and Noah are in with Laura. Liv is sitting down. Elliot is explaining to Laura that they caught the guy and she doesn't have to worry but she's watching his hand settle heavily on the back of Liv's neck.

Fully for my own benefit we'd do a thing where Liv knows it's not really kosher for her to be talking to a witness so she has to record their conversation. And take her calls on speaker. So when she has to talk to Elliot - about Noah, about how they think it has to be something to do with Lewis, Laura hears the whole thing.

I just. It's so OTT but it's fun for me right now lmao Liv not quite going to pieces but doing that thing where she's just holding back tears and speaking in that shaky whisper as she explains things and Laura realizes how much grief she's been thru. Laura, being a well adjusted soul who didn't actually *see* anything happen and who understands that this is just a really horrible one off and that she's gonna be ok long term, being more focused on Liv, on her damage and her strength, than what happened to Laura herself.

HER SWEET SISTER. Who is married and has two college age daughters. They come over to Liv's, after, and it's a nice apartment and Noah is sweet and they're having a nice time. Then there's a knock on the door. It's Fin. Then another. Amanda this time. Then they all come pouring in, Cassidy and Elliot and Carisi and Dodds and Barba, all these people who independently decided to check on Liv and now it's an impromptu party. Cassidy walks up to Laura's husband "hey how bout those Mets" and he's relieved to have a normal conversation. Elliot is in the floor playing with Noah. They order food. Laura turns to Liv and smiles and says "you have a beautiful family, Olivia."

in all seriousness, though, thank you! less than a year ago i couldn’t even write a simple kiss without breaking into a bright-red blush, lmao (to be fair, sometimes i still blush when i write smut). 

i think the thing is to a) ease into it and b) find some people that you’re comfortable talking about sex / smut fic with! 

more under the cut for others who are looking for some advice:

i started posting my fic on here last june and you can tell in my first fic that i was very uncomfortable writing even just a kiss. part of that was confidence, part of that was the vulnerability it takes for an author to write something that intimate. 

by september, i had shared my first smutty fic. i kept it non-explicit to match my own comfort level and to match the feel of the fic in the first chapter, and by the time i wrote the second one, i was ready to move on to something more /spicy/. 

fast forward, like, six weeks later and here i am publishing this piece of infamous filth. believe it or not, that fic took me at least three weeks to write because every time i opened the doc i got a little overwhelmed with how...well...filthy it was. it was wholly new territory to be writing about those things (and just using words like ‘cock’ sounded SO WEIRD to me when i was writing, even if it didn’t bother me in other people’s work). 

and now i can spit out drabbles like that and barely break a sweat (writing-wise, anyway. i make no further comment about how affected i can be by what i write, lol). 

sometimes smut for one-shots and multichapters is still hard to write, usually because i put a lot of pressure on myself and i find it so difficult to externally judge that aspect of my writing in particular. 

but the POINT is that, well, i’ve had quite an evolution in my comfort level in writing smut, and a lot of that has to do with the PEOPLE i met and started talking fic with. 

a few people have been especially influential in helping me get more comfortable with writing smut, and i’m very thankful to them for helping me get acclimated. it’s much easier to write about it in a fic when you’ve already been running through smut ideas with someone via DM or text -- you’re comfortable with that person, you feel as though you can speak freely without being judged on your kinks (if you have any!) and the like. for me, it was more a process of like, feeling safe to talk about these topics with certain people. also, especially if you haven’t written a smut fic yet but you’re looking for help, approaching them about their smut and what you liked about it is a good way to ease into the conversation. (special shoutout to @profkenobi for guiding me thru my first smut and @frannyzooey for truly releasing the inner filthy whore). 

in terms of the writing itself -- as in, mechanics -- i pay a lot of attention to the emotions of each character, as well as build up. anticipation is an ingredient to good sex, imo, and that still holds for fictional characters! 

i also try to call attention to all five senses -- touch, taste, sound, sight, smell -- and weave them continuously throughout the fic. it’s not so much about what they’re doing that makes it hot but how that’s described through what they feel on a physical, as well as emotional level. DETAIL IS (USUALLY) YOUR FRIEND WHEN WRITING SMUT SCENES. 

EDITED TO ADD: don’t get caught up on “oh i can’t write that because i haven’t done it.” i guarantee you that that is not a problem. build on what you know and what you’ve read. i may not have had sex with javier peña while he’s wearing a tac vest or oral with ezra in a sound booth but i can imagine it! i can take other experiences and build on them and invent new things. 

another thing is to stay true to your style! if you don’t like writing super explicit sex you don’t have to! if you like that, then by all means go ahead! don’t try to fit it into a category you think other people will like. 

i also work very hard to keep each person in character. some ideas i have will work great for some characters and not so well for others because of how i interpret each other motivations and mental/emotional states.

This isn’t a lov one but it’s really funny so I thought I’d put it out there:

-when bnha was first gaining traction on tumblr, it was all art of Tsuyu. I have no idea why. People were talking about the funky frog lesbian superhero anime. Maybe it was just the people I was following, maybe it was a general trend, but I LOVED her design!!! my fav color and frogs r super cute!!! And I already loved superhero media, so I was like. I’ll watch it. For Her. SO. FROPPY IS THE REASON I WATCHED/READ BNHA. I went in thinking she was the protag and I was sooo confused when Izuku was... tbh I still think it’d be more interesting if she was lmaooo aus where? ...seriously if anyone has good aus where this is the case send them LOL

-I don’t actually feel that bad abt what Shigaraki’s doing. I still feel bad for him. I’m this post. yes im an apologist. its not my fault hes sexy and has been running around shirtless. hes a lesbian icon like thor is. I want to touch his hair. hes never done anything wrong in his life. he could kill all might, deku, bakugo, whatever, I’d still be sayin this. I don’t feel bad for gt. like. was anyone genuinely attached to him? lmao

-well u know how spinner’s quirk is just sticking to things? We haven’t seen him use it in canon except like, (1) time iirc?? I think this is probably bc he’s embarrassed about it even in front of the league... I loooove the idea that he gets more comfortable with it around them :”) and also how shigaraki. um. does that falling asleep thing while standing up with his eyes open, canonly? (which I still love lmfao) Imagine someone in the league walking in a dark room, turning on the light n just seeing. Spinner upside down, stuck to the ceiling asleep bc heat rises and its Warmer Up There. (cold blooded thing like tsuyu?? come ON give him a big fuzzy coat and scarf...) and Shigaraki in the center of the room, slouched but still standing, eyes open and motionless. Theyre both sleeping. Whomever sees it just...slowly walks out. LMAO

-Toga roller derby au. No deep thoughts I just think she’d be good at it. 

-Toga 100% is a social butterfly and could befriend anyone if they didn’t just judge the fact she was trying to stab them smh :/ (ok but seriously anytime I see cute friendships with her n the other kids im like :) aw. I feel like her and Camie...would be good friends. Camie feels chill enough to be like ‘ok whatever thats totally fine I forgive you!!’ LMAO we love airheads here)

-HOW DID TOGA GET SO GOOD AT FIGHTING? We know she’s been on the run since middle school or so, but good enough to pin Deku down after he’s been formally trained at a ~hero school~ for a while? (she pinned him TWICE I think, once when his arms were messed up, but, the other time as Camie, so? AND THEN WAS ONE OF THE 100 PEOPLE TO GO THRU TO THE 2ND ROUND OF THAT? even tho she didn’t bc she had to leave) good enough to beat Aizawa in a fight and stab him? A professional hero and teacher for YEARS? Is that seriously just street training??? Can people acknowledge how amazing her combat skills and reflexes are??? More Toga appreciation when?? Also her backstory??? SO subversive and incredible, hate when people reduce her to just a ~typical anime yandere~ :/

-Tomura doing stuff with his hands/fingers to train his quirk!!! And to learn to be careful with it!! obv I’m a Big Fan of him playing piano to do this and video games are prob the canon answer, but like, guitar or any stringed instrument that requires Hands would work too. Or knitting/sewing? EMBROIDERING? ??? Please, let me give you the mental image of him knitting aggressively while mentally scheming, watching a twitch streamer or smth too while doing it. (Doing stuff with your hands is a great way to let your mind come up with creative stuff, that’s how I come up with writing/drawing ideas 70% of the time)

-Tomura actually PREFERS cutesty, relaxing games. I mean, he does fighting and bloody stuff irl, games are a way to relax...he’ll play shooters and gta type games with The Lads, but. on his own?? animal crossing. pokemon. kirby games. mario. zelda. BIG ZELDA FAN (not saying this bc I, personally, am biased, but,) slime rancher, stardew valley, funny simulator games... he really enjoys those :”) God forbid he has a kid bc they’re 100% getting named after a viddy game character unless someone can talk him out of it LOL. Toga and Tomura are that animal crossing /doom meme where she’d be asking for doom and him asking for animal crossing :”)

-Bits and pieces of Before are kinda stuck in Kurogiri’s brain, but like. mostly useless stuff the doctor didn’t care about removing. Like, types of clouds. So Tomura kinda picks up on stuff like that. He can just look at clouds and tell you what type they are because Kurogiri used to take him up to high places in the city and point them out to calm Tomura down from a panic attack when he was younger. He can tell you if the sky looks like it’ll rain with a 80% accuracy rate too. 

-Kurogiri left food out for kitties in the alley beside the bar. They weren’t allowed in for Health Reasons (it IS a bar with sanitation standards!!) And Tomura really wouldn’t stop it or encourage it either way so long as Kurogiri did his job, but occasionally would stand outside with Kurogiri and just watch the kitties from a distance. If any approached he’d go back in (lowkey afraid he’d hurt them by touching them :( ) They kinda kept that between them tho, bc they both Know AFO is a big bag of dicks and no fun

-people have pointed out how similar aizawa and tomura look. this was 100% the intention. tomura has a hatecrush on him. THIS IS SO FUNNY AND HORRIBLY AWKWARD FOR KUROGIRI LMAO

-Sako??? Mr. Dramatic?? Opera fan. Drama kid. Like, obviously, but. Really. He is. I feel like he can speak a dozen languages. I also feel like he used to be an overachiever but got too ambitious. He was def some kind of leader at one point of a diff Group or something that fell apart. I LOVE how creative he is with his quirk and the magician theme??? incredible. I don’t show him enough love but I Love Clowns :o)

-I don’t care what their canon heights are. Spinner and Dabi? short kings. My height hcs are (tallest to shortest) Kurogiri, Twice, Sako (who also has heels on his boots and a tall hat, keep in mind), Tomura, Magne (Tomura and Magne are about the same height imo) Toga, Spinner, Dabi. LISTEN. Dabi has short energy. Sorry. it’s true tho

-This is a semi-popular hc I think bc I KNOW I’ve seen it before, but Dabi having Terrible Vision and needing glasses is so so good. (seriously, with burns THAT close to his eyeballs, how could he not?) 

-he tries to be a tough loner coolguy. you’d think he’d smoke, but I hc his ‘weak constitution’ comes with weak lungs (esp from years of a flame quirk?? inhaling smoke over so much time is SO bad for you, most people who die in fires actually die of smoke inhalation...) so he’s got like, an inhaler, can’t smoke, actually gets carsick, needs glasses, overuses quirk to save friends constantly, likes napping, a little awkward and rude. Tomura put him in charge of the vanguard so he’s smart, and good with strategies too, like a nerd. this is the Dabi I wanna see, not the popular fandom version of him tbh also step on hawks one more time sir :”)

-I wish all the lov fics weren’t?? villain!deku like I said earlier, but also, chatfics? I have nothing against them but most of them are just a bombardment of Memes with NO PLOT!!! Listen. text/chatfics CAN have plot and be an interesting way to tell a story. I almost want to write one just to show what I mean...

I know I’ve said I like spinaraki and blackmagic, but I am a multishipper, so a few ships I don’t talk about that I like that involve the lov in some way:

-toga/any of the 1A girls??? or Camie??? super interesting. ALSO in the radio drama, bakugo’s voice actor said Toga was his favorite girl??? so?? bakugo/toga ?? I WANT TO SEE IT. but specifically my fav dynamic with her is when someone ELSE is the one to like her first, it’s what she deserves.

-Kurogiri/aizawa/mic?? any variety of that is also 👌🏻 I also kinda wanna see kurogiri/all might bc. Dads. COME ON. they bond over ‘well, I raised him, and you want to have a part in his life now?? ok. earn it. prove it. I’ll screen you first’ or something LMAO they’re both genuinely concerned for the boy, and SOOO biased. let them bond.

Toga: pan or bi (CANON BASICALLY)

Magne: transwoman (CANON BABEY) bi, leans towards men. (her crush on dabi in bnha smash... uwu content where)

Shuichi: gets sooooo flustered canonly, I think he’d go for the first person Who Hit On Him (I can see him being the target of those mean pranks where someone says ‘my friend likes you!!’ and the friend is like ‘eww!!’ :(((( ) he’s super hesitant for romance, lots of repressed stuff. gay but takes sooo long to realize it bc he thinks most women are conventionally pretty Aesthethically, feels obligated to Like Them, but has bad self esteem so never goes after them, then only likes (1) guy so hes like?? is this allowed?? is this allowed????
