Something a bit more melancholic cause I was feeling down lately. This is set shortly after Ash's arrival at the Dowling's estate (in my GoodGardenerAU). If you've read my comic 'Lilium', then you know that they weren't at the best mental place at that time.

Set myself a timer again but spent like 80% of the time struggling with the lineart (bcs I was too stubborn to go back and use a ref for the pose), so two hours turned into 5,,,,, I could've done better with the rain but I just wanted to be done ngl haha. Idk if I'm happy with the result,,,,,,

Aaand we’re done! Ash has had so many names over the years, part of the reason why I wanted to make this comic was to show how they came to be and which names she loves, which she resents and why. (ofc… there is still one past name we have yet to learn 👀)

Thank you all so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed this project of mine! 💜 I sure loved working on it 💜 I also think this is the kind of comic you have to re-read in one go once all parts are out for more impact. But maybe that’s just me 😂

🌱 Main comic (finished):

This comic takes place one year after the events of Good Omens. Crowley and Aziraphale have lost all their memories about each other. They meet again, thinking the other is human and feeling drawn towards each other, they soon develop a strong connection.

Myosotis is a flower, also known as ‘Forget-me-not’. It symbolizes faithful love and memories. According to a German legend, God forgot naming this flower and said “I forgot you once, I shall never forget you again.”

🐍 GoodGardenerAU (ggAU for short)

In this AU Warlock is actually the Antichrist and his demonic Nanny has been taking care of him ever since he was just a few months old.

Lilith “Ash” Ashtoreth is a demon and tasked with overseeing the Antichrist’s growth and to ensure that he brings upon Armageddon.

Francis Jonathan Fell is a human and has been the Dowling’s gardener for a few years before Ash’s arrival. He’s a religious Christian man and quickly finds himself falling for the Antichrist’s mysterious nanny and eventually they team up to prevent Armageddon from happening.

Francis and Ash are not Crowley and Aziraphale in costume but are more of their own characters, AU versions of the canon husbands.

At the Dowling estate they are surrounded by other characters, such as Anathema Device (an occultist trying to locate the Antichrist, undercover as the Dowling’s household staff manager), Newton Pulsifer (a witchfinder trying to locate a witch, undercover as a cook), as well as other familiar and new faces.

A The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim AU for my GoodGardenerAU. Because why not? It takes place in the world and timeline of the game.

Ash is a Dunmer working at Braidwood Inn in Kynesgrove but seems to run a second, secret life in the shadows.

Francis is a Nord and works at Hollyfrost Farm just outside of Windhelm.

Warlock is the Nord son of two busy trades people at Windhelm. Every since he was young, Ash has often babysat him. He seems to have a special soul residing within him.

This AU is still in progress! Aziraphale is a human while Crowley is a naga stranded in the human world. I won't give more details until I have it all more refined etc. Oh, they're both fem and big lesbians here.

🗡 Ineffable Hobbit AU

An AU that takes place in JRR Tolkien’s Middle Earth, set in the time of the events of The Hobbit. Aziraphale Bilbo Baggins lives a quiet but peaceful life in The Shire until a wizard and thirteen dwarves drag him into an adventure to reclaim the dwarven mountain kingdom of Erebor from the terrible dragon Smaugley…. Only that Smaugley doesn’t seem all that terrible.

You may recognize the necklace btw, I’ve shown it here sometime in 2020 (tho I’ve changed the design a bit). I’ve been itching to show how Ash got it for almost 1 1/2 years now 💀

Hell isn’t exactly a nice place, y’all.

📌 I deliberately left Ash’s presentation to be ambiguous here. Any pronouns are fine for them during this flashback.

📌 As it’s stated within this part, Hastur’s contempt has nothing to do with Ash’s name/ identity/ presentation but comes solely from the fact that they’re an (ex) Archangel (and Archangels were responsible for everyone’s Fall in a way). But he does like to torment them and hit them where it hurts; he’s the future Duke of Hell, don’t expect any niceness from him.

A harsher update but as much as it hurts, it serves a purpose for this story and Ash’s character. This will have a happy conclusion, I promise. We don’t know when exactly canon Crowley changed their name, just that it was before the crucifixion. So I I decided to place Ash’s change around the that time, same outfit and all.

Here comes the booyy 🛐🛐

They don’t properly meet until later but this is the first time time Fran and Ash see each other….. or is it? *cough*. Fran seems intruiged but Ash doesn’t seem too eager to make acquaintances with him. Smelling like the church you’ve been to this morning seems to be a turn off for demons, who would’ve thought! (I imagine incense etc don’t smell very pleasant to demons and thanks to her snake form, Ash has a remarkable sense of smell, even from distances.)

Also, meet Arin! They’re the first character I created specifically for this AU and we’ll see more of them in the future! They don’t work at the estate directly but they deliver flowers and other plants regularly, so they know other staff members and some oft the latest gossip. They and Francis aren’t exactly friends but they do get along very well!

(Btw for this AU I have moved Warlocks birthday to spring in order to fit the timeline and lily blooming seasons ffff)

She/they pronouns for Ash from here on out, please 💜 Same for her name; it’s Ash (well, technically Ashtoreth at this point but eh), no more Crowley.

idk if i ever mentioned this on this acc here but the snake mark and the wing scars are the only two parts of Ash’s body she can never alter. If she’d only use concealer to cover the marking up, it would eventually burn through it, which is why she always has hair covering it, too. After decades of training she was able to alter her eyes to look more human but depending on her emotions and stress levels she will lose control over it and they’ll turn more snakey again.
