October is a month when Blossomforth goes to look at ghost signs!
Ghost signs (or ghost adverts) are old signs, often hand painted, on buildings. The products they are advertising often don’t exist any more.
This old sign for Kodak products is in Paignton, in Devon, England. (The shop does not sell any Kodak products now!)

Very old former Victorian era bakery, most likely late 1870's vintage. Built in rock solid Sydney Sandstone. The very faint remains of the ghost sign reads: AJ HARVEY. BAKER. Factory extended over time and now subdivided into warehouse apartments. Balmain.
