cranboo's limbo really does make sense though.

because i think looking at it it seems quite calm there but dont forget in that it was also implied once it was also raining, flooding, and it's not always as calm as yesterday was (i cant find the clip). And let it be known that cranboo does fear water heavily. And he also kinda fears being left alone with his thoughts and thinking about the things he's done. So being alone with only a book to collect those thoughts makes sense. And he's alone so he has no one to challenge the thoughts of that no one wants him back or that he doesnt deserve to come back.. It's also why he vaguely states to MD about what he's done, because cranboo's done quite a lot of things that weigh on him even though he's always wanted to do the right thing (ie. tnt prison).

I thought the limbo moment was quite interesting + the mentions of how ppl can travel to other limbo's too.

ok so I’m watching the Wilbur and Tommy lore where they are sharing memories about Ghostbur

And I thought about how Ghostbur being revived was like a death sentence but that lore always confused me somewhat. Like Ghostbur only existed once Wilbur died so once he’s alive how come he has to live in limbo? Why doesn’t he just cease to exist

And then I thought about a comic I read on good ol’ tumblr.com (I’ll link it if I find it) where Tommy is mad at ghostboo for how he’s talking about ranboo and how he replaced ranboo but ghostboo pointed out that Tommy had a ghost even if no one met the ghost and Tommy being revived essentially damned that ghost.

And I’ve just watched Us so this got me thinking. These aren’t ghosts. These aren’t the souls of the dead because they coexist with the real characters stuck in limbo. The “ghosts” are essentially the tethered. Who are free to roam the overworld when their clone dies and when a character dies they are stuck in “limbo” and that limbo is the underground.

Wilbur’s limbo is literally a train track, an empty underground never ending liminal space.

These characters are stuck in the world of Us and dream is pulling the strings.

Head canon that Michael can't see Ghostboo because he is a zombie piglin, but he can hear them, so Michael thinks that Ghostboo is like an Imaginary friend. But Tubbo doesn't know Michael can't see them, so he assumes Michael is taking about someone else until Tubbo asks Michael to point to the sound and he points directly at Ghostboo.

Another alternate head canon is that Ghostboo wears a veil over their face because it's like symbolism for something that I'm too tired to come up with rn, so Michael doesn't recognize them, because Tubbo told Michael that Boo wasn't coming back for a while, and so Michael doesn't know ran is dead, so Michael thinks this is someone new.
