Chucky predictions
SPOILER WARNING FOR CHUCKY S3E5!
I wanna make Chucky theories so bad, but I can't think of any! This show is so crazy that I can't even predict or speculate on what could happen next. There are some people teasing on twitter though and all they've been doing is making me even more hyped for how this season is going to end. So here are some of my predictions based on everything that's been teased so far.
Jake will enter the spirit realm:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't think he's necessarily going to die, but he's so fixated on ending Chucky for good to the point where he refused to run away from it all like Devon suggested. And we've heard the doctor, the only way you get to the spirit realm is by dying, but what if you didn't need to die? I believe that thanks to all the supernatural shit occurring there, the White House will become some sort of passage between the two realms. Jake will cross it to try and destroy Charles' soul, but if he will fail or succeed is still debatable...
Caroline helps Chucky get young again:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If Jake fails in permanently killing Chucky, Caroline will come to the rescue. We know she'll be back, but what role will she play in this mess? When she'll return, all hell already would've broken loose and she'll just make it worse. Her sudden entrance at the White House will cause quite the emotional reunion for Lexi and her. Yet, Caroline didn't come alone. Armed with the Voodoo for Dummies book, sure, but she brought another friend, who's none other than the Good Guy Doll creator played by John Waters. He came with a new doll, a new vessel for Charles and with Caroline's newfound knowledge of Voodooism, she'll get Damaballa's blessings and give Chucky a new body, a new chance to not disappoint the almighty Iowa and if he plays his cards right, he might even become forever young.
Grant will survive:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't have any evidence to back this up, I just like him and think it's unfair that Lexy always has to say goodbye to someone she loves each season and I just don't want it to happen again. From a psychology standpoint it just desensitized her and would lead to her not getting attached to anyone else besides Jake & Devon next season, in fear of someone else always having to die because of her. And from a writing perspective it just gets repetitive, predictable and boring. So please Don Mancini don't kill him, also I love Jackson Kelly.
The past will haunt everyone:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Charles Lee Ray isn't the only ghost the Terror Trio will have to deal with in the newly supernatural possessed White House. We've seen the past of the Collins family haunt them time and time again, we've seen Henry talk about ghosts and fearing what they told him almost every single episode. Why would that stop at Joseph or Charles? Wouldn't it be horrible for our trio to be faced with the lives they lost thanks to a doll they couldn't stop? How would Jake react upon seeing his father again, disappointed at him for being gay. And Lexy, the poor girl, facing Junior, the boy she watched die, trying to save her... Not making at least one ghost of the past come back would be a wasted opportunity.
Tiffany will survive, but Jennifer's body might not:
Tumblr media
Tiffany's possible death has been brought up in every interview Jennifer Tilly made following the comeback of Chucky season 3. At this point it even became a ‘will they, won't they’ situation. Does Mancini really have the guts to kill off a cult favorite character and actress he loves so much? Or will we just say goodbye to seeing Tilly on screen and welcome only her voice? I mean the trailer kinda made it clear for me that this isn't the end of Tiffany's story, but maybe that of Jennifer's body.

*BBC Ghosts s5 obvious spoilers*
I can’t stop thinking about the s5e5. I have been in awe of it. As this is the final season, I think we all were expecting Captain’s ‘coming out’ scene. I mean ‘coming out’ of his sexuality. When he was interrupted in the group therapy session of s3e5, we all were on the edge of our seats because that seemed like his ‘coming out’ scene.
What we saw in s5e5 instead was something different, and something profound and emotional. It was more complex and multilayered.
By the way, I am fond of US Ghosts and their ‘coming out’ scene with Isaac and Hetty was nice (including the fact that other ghosts already knew about Issac’s sexuality).
I knew BBC Ghosts wouldn’t recreate that kind of conversation. That kind of conversation was already made by Humphrey and Lady Button in s2e6, regarding the different values. Lady Button was originally offended by same-sex marriage, and perhaps by homosexuality or queerness. However, she understood them in the end.
We actually don’t know what exactly Captain talked and shared with other ghosts. We saw the flashback scene of the party, but it didn’t show his ‘angle’ in that recreation. Presumably, he ‘confessed’ that he was not actually a decorated officer and was no ‘hero’. His sexuality might be, or might not be the focus. The simple fact that he came back, sneaked in and faked himself to get into to Button House just for seeing Havers would explain.
Even if he has never used the terms (such as homosexual), the whole story is full of queer undertones - or rather, overtones. Captain had to fake himself to ‘blend in’, and his disguise/secret was revealed. ‘Have you no shame?’ This is, undoubtedly, a queer story. It is not subtext, it is explicit. His queerness is overlapped with the concept of masculinity in the military (bravery, heroism) too. This storytelling is multifaceted, but doesn’t strike me as ‘shying away’ from explicit queer representation. This is pretty much on brand for BBC Ghosts.
At first I thought the reactions of other ghosts were a bit blant. However, after the rewatch, I thought it was perfect - only Lady Button said ‘you are a brave man’. It can be interpreted that Captain was/is brave to follow his heart and be himself. The fact that it was Lady Button who commented also added layers. What she said was quite comforting, especially given that she was most likely to be ‘conservative’ (obviously in the modern sense) on queer identity.
I’m really curious how long they planed this backstory. I have heard that Captain’s badge was upside down from the start, so I guess it was from the beginning. Such a fascinating story building; I like when TV serious has consistency.

Rating animated characters' live action translations:
SPOILERS for all the animated and live action Star Wars series up to and including Mando S3E5.
Saw Gererra - 9/10. Overall, Saw in Rogue One feels like Saw in TCW (and Rebels). The differences in eye color and facial structure are pretty forgivable. Saw's jump to live action set an excellent precedence.
Chopper - 100/10. No live action counterpart will ever surpass the flawless translation of Chopper from Rebels to Rogue One.
Ahsoka - 6/10. I feel like this is the most controversial take on this list but I'm neither in love with nor supremely offended by Ahsoka's appearance in The Mandalorian. It's fine, although I am a bit salty about the shorter lekku. I don't hate Rosario Dawson in the role and have some hope that her portrayal will approve.
Bo-Katan Kryze - 10/10. The queen, the legend. Katee Sackhoff reprising her role in live action was an incredible choice; I wish they'd err on the side of keeping voice actors rather than automatically recasting. Bo's translation was definitely a solid 8/10 right out the gate. Now that Katee's gotten more practice physically inhabiting the role - and a new wig - Bo-Katan is better than ever.
Cad Bane - 8/10. One of the highlights of TBOBF, Cad Bane's appearance is just about as good as you can get for an alien character of a species who originated in animation.
The Grand Inquisitor - 2/10. I don't know why Kenobi did such a bad job of translating animated characters to live action compared to the other shows. Maybe they blew their entire budget on Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen? Either way, "Quizzy" was horrible.
The Fifth Brother - 3/10. Marginally better than "Quizzy".
Garazeb Orrelios - 7/10. Decent CGI, and honestly much better than I could've hoped. Still, it's CGI. Not my favorite, but it was fun to see a member of the Ghost crew for the first time.

Hey you yes you!
Are you a Star Wars fan who doesn’t have time to watch all of rebels before Ahsoka comes out but you desperately need context for the Ghost Crew side of the show? Well boy do I have the list for you!
Behold the essential Star Wars Rebels episodes!
Season 1
S1E1-2 Spark of the Rebellion
This episode will introduce you to all of the main players of the Star Wars Rebels universe.
S1E3 Droids in Distress
This episode has three main functions, it gives context to Zeb’s character and sets up his series wide arc, develops the Empire as an institution, and has C3P0 and R2D2!
S1E7 Out of Darkness
This is the big Sabine character development episode, a character which will definitely be important to the Ahsoka show.
S1E8-9 Empire Day- Gathering Forces
This is THE Ezra episode of season 1. It explains his backstory and helps the audience understand him better. It is also just a really fun episode. It has one of my favorite Kanan moments.
S1E14-15 Rebel Resolve-Fire Across The Galaxy
This is the season 1 two part finale. It has major character beats for almost everyone and sets up season 2.
Season 2
S2E1-2 Siege of Lothal
This two part arc sets up all of season 2. Also has animated Darth Vader (very cool)
S2E3-4 The Lost Commanders-ROTOR
This is an arc which stars some major players of the clone wars! These episodes gives context to what clones are doing at this point in the timeline as well as provides an important character beat for Kanan.
S2E7 Wings of the Master
Very important Hera episode! Shares some of her backstory and is just all around a wholesome time!
S2E8 - Blood Sisters
An important Sabine episode. Also the Sabine is sapphic holy text. Sabine tragic backstory time.
S2E11 - Legacy
One of the most important Ezra episodes. This will have you crying by the end of it. It is also an incredible episode all around
S2E14 - Legends of The Lasat
One of THE Zeb episodes! The score, the animation, the writing. There are so many good things to say about this one.
S2E16 Homecoming
A very important Hera episode. This episode displays so much of Hera’s resilience as a character.
S2E17 The Honorable Ones
If you were going to watch any Zeb episode this has got to be in the top 3. It showcases the character development he has gone through throughout the last 2 seasons. Also this is the Kalluzeb holy text you’ve heard so much about.
S2E21-22 Twilight of the Apprentice
Ahhhh sooooooo good! At the the time this was the resolution to Ahsoka’s story that we never got and it still is such a good resolution to The Clone Wars. The score, the animation, the writing, you will be crying by the end of this.
Season 3
S3E3 The Holocrans of Fate
Very good Ezra episode. Is sorta the conclusion of his dark side era (for now). Also Darth Maul realness in this episode!!!
S3E4 The Antilles Extraction
Sabine in her spy era!!! A very good display of her character. Also there’s a very good twist at the end of this one.
S3E5 Hera’s Heroes
Hera episode!!!! Also Thrawn episode and God is he scary in this one.
S3E10 An Inside Man
Many a twist and turn in this episode. I can’t say much more without giving it away.
S3E20 - Twin Suns
Ezra episode but once again I can’t say much more than that without giving it away.
S3E21-22 Zero Hour
Ahhhh it’s so hard to explain season 3 without spoilers. But know this is a very good Thrawn episode and a very good Ghost Crew episode
Season 4
S4E1-2 Heroes of Mandolore
Sabine episodes as well as continuation of the siege of Mandolore arc from the Clone Wars
S4E5 The Occupation
The following episodes are important for largely the same reasons. It sets up the end of the story and the end of these arcs
S4E7 Kindred
S4E9 Rebel Assault
S4E10 Jedi Night
Bring some tissues (can’t say anything else because it’s a spoiler)
S4E11 - Dume
OUCH! Great character moments for everyone but at what cost
S4E12 Wolves and a Door
Amazing world building
S4E13 The World Between Worlds
Very good Ezra episode!!!
S4E14 A Fool’s Hope
Very fun team up between familiar faces from across Star Wars. A much needed breath of air between two major episodes. But still super important
-S4E15 Family Reunion - and Farewell
The end!!! Sets up where all the characters are going to be in Ahsoka. Bring tissues to this one too.

Merlin S3E5, “The Crystal Cave”
Okay what’s going on (I love this soundscape)
Feels very “pillars of the two kings”-ish. What’s that music, who’s singing?
Oh that must hurt
I like Merlin doing medicine. Him talking to Arthur when he’s injured… WHY DID YOU TAKE THE ARROW OUT
Oh. Merlin crying.
…who is that?
So this is a Druid! If he calls Merlin Emrys…
Creeeeeepy. But also not surprised it’s magic. Wait, if it’s in the Valley of the Fallen Kings, does that mean the kings used to be associated with magic?
What’s that light? What is Morgana doing in that crystal?
So now Merlin’s seeing ghosts.
I reaaaaally like this episode and its sound. The heartbeats…
I liiiiiiiiiiiike this episode. (But also, Merlin, last time you chased Morgana…)
I feel like she may have done it on purpose but also no.
Arthur be wary of what you say, it may not fall on deaf ears
Oh wow. Uther suggesting the use of magic?
THE FUCK WHAT
The conversations, however one-sided, between Uther and Merlin are always so interesting. This one was different.
Merlin, what were you thinking of, asking Kilgharrah?
Merlin what the fuck are you doing.
Didn’t expect Merlin to actually save her.
…how powerful is Merlin?
What game is Morgana playing? Is she trying to be legitimised?
The sound of the bells… of the blood… of the beats… And the thunder, too.
So she leaves Merlin to burn. But leaves the door open…
Merlin…
…would Morgana hurt Arthur?
All in all by far the best episode of the series so far. It’s so good on all counts. Going from Gwaine to this is tonal backlash and also such a good succession. Season 3 is definitely the strongest so far

Rewatching Bedtime Stories
Welcome to “The Brothers Get Grimm with Each Other: A Supernatural Rewatch Blog” with Lor and Mace!
 Up today, s3e5: Bedtime Stories
People are dying weird in a small town. It takes our boys a minute to realize it, but the deaths all mimic fairy tales. What seems to be the ghost of a little girl appears at the scenes of the deaths, and that doesn’t track. Until Sam and Dean discover a young woman who has been in a coma since she was a child—and whose father has been reading her fairy tales all these years. Her spirit is trapped and restless because her step-mother poisoned her years ago. The boys have to convince her father to listen to her spirit and let her go to stop the grim deaths. Meanwhile, Sam has been hounding Dean about his refusal to try to find a way out of his demon deal, and the end of the episode sees Sam sneaking off to try to force the crossroads demon to give up Dean’s contract. Sam learns that she’s not the one holding his deal, and Sam shoots her with the Colt (and thus killing the woman she’s possessing as well). Should we be worried about him?
Below is a log of our real-time reactions as we watched. Remember that there may be spoilers for any part of SPN’s 15-season run here. Note also that the nature of our conversation is adult and thus it may contain adult language and themes.

 Lor:
i could find a crossroad easy and a dirt road easy.... I can't think of a dirt crossroads. probably not over far, actually. but I'd have to look
 Lor:
OI! stop badmouthing Dean!
 Mace:
 RIGHT?!
 Lor:
oooof Sammy
 Mace:
 OOOF
 Lor:
Lolol
  [after the episode ended:]
 Mace:
so i love the balance between Dean not thinking he deserves to be saved and Sam fighting against this deal not because he doesn’t think HE deserves to live but because he doesn’t think it’s fair that Dean has to die. Another sign of Dean being raised by John and Sam being raised by Dean
 Lor:
YES

Can we talk about this wonderful scene in S3E5 of 'Ghosts', please? SPOILERS FOR SERIES THREE!
Because it's such a poignant scene that shows how supportive Alison and the ghosts are towards the Captain and his sexuality.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alison mentions that talking about things is a good way of learning to accept things, and she is supporting Kitty and the rest of the ghosts in accepting parts of themselves that they haven't really spoken about before.
And this scene shows that Alison is aware of the Captain's sexuality, but has never pried before because she respects his boundaries.
The Captain's face when she asks him if there is anything he'd like to share is so important.
Alison's expression as she tries to silently encourage him that it's okay to talk to her about it makes my heart happy. She's so supportive in her smile.
Tumblr media
And you can tell in Cap's expression and response that he appreciates that. He looks around the room and sees his friends all giving him the same supportive looks, and he wants to say but he finds himself unable to.
Tumblr media
He's afraid.
Let's break down each of the ghosts' facial expressions towards Alison prying at the Captain.
Fanny has the same expression as she did with Alison asking Kitty. She knows. She's closest to the Captain out of all the ghosts, so she must suspect that he's not entirely heterosexual. She spends the most time with him. But her expression reads as though she knows it's a very personal subject to the Captain, and she's afraid of his reaction.
She cares about him and she doesn't want him to get upset, or feel pressured.
Tumblr media
Robin, as always looks confused. But his attention is still solely on the Captain. He's just watching and listening with contentment.
Tumblr media
Pat, though is an interesting one. Pat is usually the ghost that would be asking about these sorts of things, but he knows not to cross boundaries and he completely respects the Captain's (or 'Cap', as he affectionately calls him) boundaries. He knows Cap is uncomfortable and you can see he wants to intervene and say something to change the subject but he ... doesn't. Because he wants him to say it.
And after Cap dismisses the opportunity, you can see how disappointed he is that he didn't take it.
Tumblr media
But there's something more there. He's smiling. He's still so supportive of Cap. He always is. But I think he's also smiling because he wants to be the one that speaks to the Captain about it. He is low-key pleased that Alison didn't succeed.
And then there's Julian, who was - like Robin - listening in a content manner. He doesn't make any quick quips, as he normally would, but instead stays silent.
It isn't until the Captain passes over to Thomas that he rolls his eyes, because he's fed up of hearing his dramatics.
Tumblr media
But all of the ghosts were so supportive of the Captain and I love it.
Hopefully, one day, he will feel more confident and be able to talk about it. I know he was about to before he was interrupted, but I do really hope that he finds himself able to admit it.
And I hope this leads to a further admission from Pat that he's hopelessly in love with Cap.
