ok so my bf and I went to the petstore for fishfood today and I was looking at the reptiles (bc I fcking love reptiles even tho they can’t love me back) and for months they’ve had the same gecko for sale and they started marking him down bc no one was interested in him and the prospect of no one wanting him made me literally start to cry in the store bc of my need to pack bond

So anyway guess who has a new lizard

This is watermelon, he is the new baby of my house. Like 7-9 months. I adore him.

Called ‘living jewels’ due to their coloring, these beauties camouflage well in their arboreal tropical rainforest surroundings. From the East coast of Madagascar, these 15cm/almost 10 inch long lizard is the largest in the gecko family.
