Here I am again, changing plans. Last Sunday I had a mentoring session with a friend regarding my next steps in programming, as I was thinking about to make another graduation, now in Cybersecurity. Well, he opened my eyes to things I did not consider before, obvious things: a certification, for example. He pointed out that, instead of 2,5 years for a new grad could be converted in 2 or more certifications, and that the companies are searching for high skilled people in CyberSec, and certifications are a reliable way to prove it. So I started an Udemy course for GIAC and downloaded the ISO 27001 PDF to start my roadmap.

He is a good guy, is finishing his master's degree, and will start his PhD as soon as he can, but took almost 3h from his busy schedule to hear me, and advise me about my academic and career future ◝(^⌣^)◜ so lovely. The CyberSec and the IELTS will be my main goals for 2024, and I am excited (and scared), these things will help me so much on my main goal for the next two years. I have a 5-year plan, and everything is in place, I already achieved goals that shown me that I am in the right path, but the next steps will be harder ヽ(O_O )ﾉ I must remain courageous <3 Oh! My friend also told me to learn as much as possible in the Engineering team I am now, as this will be great for me regarding IT governance, discovery, good coding practices, and leadership. 2024 will be a challenging year, guys. Let's move on, we must fulfil our dreams <3

i worked out for the first time in a while!! low impact strength + yoga bc my jaw is still a bit tender. after my shower i worked on a tryhackme path + i just got finished installing + customizing vsc because i'd also like to work on my python skills if i can!

Do you suggest (ISC)2 Certified in Cybersecurity or Security + for someone with no background experience in tech? The Isc2 is free course and program but not sure if it holds weight for entry level jobs?

Encourage girls to pursue a future in ICTs towards bridging the digital gender divide.

The global celebration of International Girls in ICT Day 2023 will be held on 27 April 2023. This year and every year, ITU and partners work together to inspire and encourage girls to pursue a future in ICTs towards bridging the digital gender divide. The aim is to encourage young women and girls to pursue their studies and careers in science, engineering, technology, mathematics, and other fields and help them achieve their dreams. 

This year, the theme of Girls in ICT Day is ‘Digital Skills for Life’. The global Girls in ICT event will be celebrated on 27 April in Zimbabwe as part of the Transform Africa Summit 2023, in coordination and collaboration with the Postal and Telecommunication Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ) and Smart Africa. This is a hybrid event and will be live streamed. 

In the CIS Region to celebrate the Girls in ICT Day, we partner with Ministry of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic and ISOC Chapter Kyrgyzstan. Regional forum will be held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan in a hybrid format. A forthcoming event will promote awareness of the gender digital divide, advocate for STEM education and digital skills training, and encourage girls and young women to pursue careers in ICT. 

Register and attend the event: Forum on ICT Opportunities for Girls in Central Asia​​ (9:00-13:00, UTC +6).

It’s Girl Scout Day! March 12, 2024, is the 112th birthday of Girl Scouts in the United States, and to celebrate, we’re sharing a lithograph of the Girl Scout alumnae who became NASA astronauts.

Girl Scouts learn to work together, build community, embrace adventurousness and curiosity, and develop leadership skills—all of which come in handy as an astronaut. For example, former Scouts Christina Koch and Jessica Meir worked together to make history on Oct. 18, 2019, when they performed the first all-woman spacewalk.

Pam Melroy is one of only two women to command a space shuttle and became NASA’s deputy administrator on June 21, 2021.

Nicole Mann was the first Indigenous woman from NASA to go to space when she launched to the International Space Station on Oct. 5, 2022. Currently, Loral O’Hara is aboard the space station, conducting science experiments and research.

Participating in thoughtful activities in leadership and STEM in Girl Scouts has empowered and inspired generations of girls to explore space, and we can’t wait to meet the future generations who will venture to the Moon and beyond.

anyways!! this evening after tea with my grandma i’m going to purchase a tryhackme plan! i’m unsure if i want to do yearly or monthly.. if i do yearly, i think i’ll actually be committed to using it (!) since i paid for it.
