so we have all the umk songs now. this nf is gonna be historical.

there’s not a single track i can outright say i dislike! i obviously have my preferences, but they all bring something different and match different moods - there’s something for everyone really - a musical finnish buffet 🇫🇮💙

as a robin and benjamin fan coming in, i really thought it would be a battle between those two due to popularity...

though that really isn’t the case. cha cha cha by käärijä is my no.1 now.

it’s such a musical rollercoaster. it has intensity, it has quirky, it has pop, it has humour, spirit and originality and 100% could perform competitively in the Eurovision Grand Final. I’m so in love. It’s absolutely the ESC sound, bending genres and blowing minds too !! 🤯✨

it will definitely be a case of vocal strength, staging, performance and just the atmosphere on the night that will determine the winner. each song is a gem in its own right and will have a fanbase, so it’s exciting and nerve-wracking having that quality of the unknown for the result we are all anticipating!

now i’ll focus on robin’s song.

i feel like the reaction has been generally negative and i understand it - it’s simple and not very competitive. it’s just pleasant. and for me personally, i don’t mind that. it’s close to things i normally enjoy, and has a familiar sound. i immediately had a positive reaction to it - i love the happy vibe, and i think live it will be x100 better because robin’s charm can carry it ⭐💛💞💓

but i’m just saying i understand people who are coming from a more disappointed perspective. i’d personally love for robin to go with something more slick and arresting like ‘drop dead -’ the performance could be really edgy and intriguing. but then we wouldn’t see happy, bouncy robin oh noooo :((

it is sad to say it is one of the weaker songs of the pack (excuse the pun hahah :’)) this year - but also i’m kinda biased coming into it because i’m desperate to see robin live so this is like an opportunity for him to come to the uk SKSK.)

but yes, it’s normal to love an artist to bits and want to support them and then not love every song/choice on their discography! it doesn’t mean this is the end. and girls like you has its own merits!

finally, with the release of the portion boys song tonight - i’m so crazy for this, it’s so cheese and so early ESC to me - IT HAS TO BE THE NEW EUROVISION ANTHEM 😤☝❤️‍🔥💫✨ i demand it.
