it is the end of the month and i thought i would do a check in. i’ve forgotten about this blog in march. news got me stressed and anxious, even more so than i already am.

i would like to think that my anxiety is under control, but i wouldn’t really know. i think my feelings of anxiety is currently being shared by millions, with regards to the ongoing developments in the world. it is good to know that i am not alone. living with my parents make me a lot more fearful and cautious, even though i always know that my siblings and immediate family, my cousin and my aunt, will always be there for me.

a great segue to my next point, which is that march had been a month of extra gratitude for me. i wrote my response to the girlsclubasia interview over 2 days of lunch break, and with everything that is going on lately, i am extra aware and thankful for my environment.

i cannot say that i am feeling that good all the time. this week i am extra agitated at my new colleague. i was angry that he didn’t see a doctor this week despite coughing and being a slob in the office, which pissed me off a lot. after i shared my feelings with my team, i realised that i wasn’t the only one that felt that way, and maybe if i had spoken to them earlier then i wouldn’t feel so angry. i decided to take monday off to chill. i woke up this morning still feeling irked by his behaviour (it was an accumulation of many other things). i thought i will cool down a bit after going for a run. but didn’t really feel that way. i went for my second run in the evening and now as i write this, i do feel that my annoyance and overall angry mood had tempered off a lot.

it was a month of steady runs. much better than unproductive february. i don’t always meet my goal of running 4 times a week. but i ensure that when i do run, i try to enjoy the run as much as i can, stopping on the way back to say hi to the many cats along the route.

although sometimes i feel annoyed, or at times i feel like i have a lot on my mind, i don’t really feel like talking to anybody about it. i just sometimes feel maybe people don’t get me or may be annoyed at my neuroticism. maybe that is a problem.

today is a productive day and i was looking to recreate my fruitful weekend last week. i deleted instagram again. i am always thinking about trying to use the app more mindfully, and i find myself scrolling at it aimlessly when im bored sometimes. i don’t like it as it brings up feeling of annoyance, when sometimes i am already feeling a bit fed up.

other GOOD things this month: i am shortlisted for SGABF. i don’t even know if the event will even happen, given the way things are now. but i am glad to be shortlisted. it is something to distract me from the grim headlines everyday, as i focus to push myself to create more works and works that make me feel happy. i also finished the website for heroine, which was on my list for the longest time. and i finished my branding and identity cards for my art works and design works. i also started to take very good care of my plants and they are thriving - very nice moments to witness.

i am currently working on one project at a time. tackling all my book projects again. after leaving it to idle for a long time. i would like to remind myself that i have been doing a hell lot of other shit and should not be giving myself such a hard time for not completing other things.
