I Want to Break Free (Wally’s Time In the Phantom Zone) pt. 1: Welcome to the Zone

(this will hopefully be a series of posts based on motivation) I miss Wally and this is what I believe would have happened to him in the Phantom Zone.

Panic and energy was all that coursed through his veins. Where was he? He died right, there was no way he could still be alive? Everything was white and black, his suit was shaded grey and white. It was odd, almost like the opposite of stealth mode in his old mission days. God, Dick would be pissed at him not to mention Artemis. He sat and bit his lip staring ahead.

At first it was weird having to look at everything through this weird filter but then things became better over time, speaking of time it wasn’t exactly going very well on keeping track. Nothing changed in this place, it wasn’t cold or warm, it wasn’t day or night, nothing was up or down, it just existed. Wally stood up looking around before thinking. He missed a lot of people, wished he left things off better with Dick, and just wanted to hold Artemis again. 

He sat dejected on the ground once again counting out seconds but finding no particular use in it. Was this death? Some form of limbo? Was this Hell? Nothing seemed right it was just a weird place in the middle of nowhere. He walked to the edge of the rock and looked below, could it even be called a rock and below at this point?

Wally pulled down his goggles and ran jumping from floating thing to floating thing but the place just went on forever. He didn’t even know how long he had been jumping. There was no force carrying him down, it was almost like he was in space. Wally fell to his knees and cried silently and remembered in space no one can hear you scream. 

That’s what he spent a lot of his stay doing. Screaming at the world and how it was unfair, he had his whole life ahead of him but bad people had to mess that up, he was retired with Artemis and sure he hated Dick and Kaldur for dragging them back in but it was fun again but they shouldn’t have had to deal with bad people in the first place. This was all just so unfair. 

His tears just flowed right through him and his throat felt raw from screaming. At least he was feeling something other than just internal emotions. It was just so confusing. This had to be a pocket dimension, but those were just theoretical. Yeah, this had to be limbo. Maybe he should start praying and he’ll be able to move on and watch over his friends. That would hurt too much though, Dick would get a new handsome red-head friend, Artemis would get married and have kids, Kaldur would probably go back to the sea and sulk for a while before eventually leading a much bigger team, Roy would finally marry Jade and Lian would grow up, M’gann and Conner would get married finally... he would miss all of it. Wally tried to pound his fist into the ground under him but failed as his hand went right through.

He shook his head and just wanted to give up. Life here just wasn’t going to work. There had to be something after this right? Where were the other limbo dwellers. Other people had to be here right? He should just wait for them then. Wally got criss-cross applesauce and waited... and waited. Maybe he should just take a quick nap.

Wally rested his head against the floating thing he found himself situated on and looked up. There was this small thing, well it was small until it came hurling at him. “What the hell?” It looked so familiar. He had seen that somewhere before. It was grey and looked like... a ship.

These will be short I hope you enjoyed. Please if you would like and reblog it really helps me be motivated to write stuff because I’ve been in a really long writing rut and just want to have that motivation of people liking my stuff. Perhaps another one tomorrow?

And this is going to both save and destroy Jiang Cheng as he carries this weight alone. #Heartbreaking stuff! Didn't draw it in the comic because I wanted to draw a silly worm on a string! #WWX tried to help JC out of the knot but got stuck in it. #Those worm on a string tricks are harder than they look! #Also; it's been about a year since the last boat joke - but indeed this is the 11th boat of pd-mdzs. En server is getting Glorious Masquerade and I am also hoping the be cool line is there—-we are also somehow getting the SSR Grim Platinum Jacket for Disneys 100th (which makes me hope they will add Grim to the alchemy lesson rotation because otherwise nobody will be able to unlock the groovy since there’s not stamp quests to get the little lollipop)

AH HECK I forgot Platinum Grim was also this month! dangit I need to reprioritize everything now. gotta save some keys for the boss in his snazzy little suit!

(I think pre-lab Grim you could just buy his candy for alchemy coins, and that's also what they're doing for Rollo, so that's probably what they'll do! someone correct me if I'm remembering wrong though)
