I've been slacking. I'm already behind on gift shopping omfg. Theres my brother's birthday this month, then 3 birthdays + Christmas at the same time and I don't have half of those figured out for my family, let alone cousins, I have so much to figure out omfg

I am about to go into FULL FIBER ART FRENZY in prep for the holidays.

I am actually late. I should've started a few weeks ago, but my goals are very doable still.

I need to make some dragon scale leg warmers (can be done in two days), a Kissy Wissy (I know the pattern now so I can fix the problems and not threaten to bludgeon the author with my yarn winder), a couple of dragon plushes (my own design and can be done in a weekend each), and some miniature roosters (the story behind them is pure shenanigans and they must be a thing.) Those are all fairly quick and easy.

It's the blanket and the cardigan that is gonna get me.

Now the blanket won't be as difficult as the Sholach blanket I made for Mom, but it is tapestry work. However, I had already worked up a sample and it works very fast, so I think it will be okay.

The cardigan? I am still working that one out. It might actually turn into a poncho instead. Ponchos work super fast and you don't have to worry about sizing.

I have made arrangements for alternative gifts, so I am willing to drop any of these if I have to but the Kissy Wissy and the dragon scale leg warmers are a must.

ALWAYS make your handmade items for gjfts list adjustable. You will thank yourself for it.

Now, this is a reminder to those with fiber artists/creators of other handmade arts in your life to be gentle with them during this time of year. Hugs and encouragement are always appreciated.

I don't rec telling them to "just buy it on Amazon" unless you have ceased to have value in your continued existence. Just be supportive and pass the damn coffee.

Finals season is upon me.

And of course I got nothing done last weekend, so here we go, one more try. Here's the final to-do list of the semester.

Research Methodology

1. Finish skimming my sources. (I thought I'd never finish.)

2. Create a script and presentation. (Uhh ... that actually went super well?)

3. Write my paper. (I even got to take it to the writing center!)

4. Resubmit my abstract. (So I decided to resubmit first, and then finish the presentation.)

5. Resubmit my thesis statement. (This is as fine-tuned as it's going to get.)

(Also, that review's not getting resubmitted. I can live with that and it's my own fault anyway.)

Music in Brazil

6. Write my cultural review. (Good news, folks -- IT'S DONE!)

7. Figure out how the heck to write a paper based off YouTube videos and Google results. (DONE AND TURNED IN.)

8. Study for the listening test. (My professor gave us an early Christmas gjft.)

Adulting

9. Grocery shopping. (All put away!)

10. Laundry. (All done.)

11. Return my library books. (Returning these was an interesting experience.)

12. Do the course evaluations. (Finished at work today.)

What's grating on me about this to-do list is that there's a lot of stuff, but it's not quick and easy stuff. It's a lot of stuff that takes multiple days to do. *sigh*
